So this is a RP based on a story I just started to write. Please remember to follow rules etc :)

Plot:

Its the year 2309. 254 years since imagination died. Since a law was passed making lies illegal, creativity has gone. These 'lies' included songs, stories all those sorts of things, as they were not fact. Everybody on the planet are like mindless clones.

Well, almost everyody.

A group of kids have discovered some things. An illegal website filled with music, books that were hidden containing fictional stories, things like that. And it has inspired them. They change their names, rebel against their superiors, et their creativity flow, only to be cast out by their peers.

They find a hiding place, but each time the police find them, and they have to keep running.

Now on the run from the law, they must learn to trust each other, whilst trying to rally up as much people who still have their imaginations to join them.

Ok, so it starts at school, where everyone meets. Then they rebel, then they run. Making sense?

I'm loving the story so much, that I'm going to join this :D

Name: Erin Farrel
Chosen name (doesnt have to relate to their old name): Robin
Age: 13
Gender: Female
Looks: She is very small with long, almost white hair. One of her eyes is green and the other is blue, which most people are unnerved by. Her skin is rather pimply and she is often teased for being the way she is.
Personality: She is zaney and enjoys making people laugh. She cares about people more than is called for and makes herself a target to bullies, because she cares so much.
How they 'rebel' (Music, story writing, fashion etc. You can have more than one): Music, drawing, making things.
Other: She found a rebel website with pictures of Brian May's Guitar. She idolises him and wants to do anything to make herself like this man from over 300 years ago. She spent weeks rummaging around in her attic, looking for wood and stuff. She found an old guitar that was hundreds of years old, which had, apparently, belonged to her great great great great great great great grandfather. Using that, she made her own guitar which she plays in secret in the attic. That great great great great great great great Grandfather happens to be Brian May, but she doesn't know that until later.

Georgie sat tapping a beat out on the desk with the end of her pencil. The teacher blabbered endlessly on about history (they all did...) and everybody seemed to be paying utmost attention to what she was saying. Well, Georgie wasn't.

"Susan Greyson, will you stop that infernal racket and pay atention!" the teacher barked, turning away from the interactive whiteboard that had the lesson objectives on it.

"My name isn't Susan Greyson. It's Georgie!" she snapped back, slumping down in her chair.

"Nonsense. Here on the register it says Susan Greyson, so that is your name! You know the laws! No creativity, and that includes Names and Tunes!" the teacher snapped. Georgie made a face at her back.

Robin scowled at the teacher's lack of imagination. She looked over at Georgie. She knew how it felt to be outcast for imagination. Looking quickly around, she made sure that none of the class nor the teacher were watching. She quickly scribbled a note, asking to meet Georgie after the lesson. She signed her name as a Treble Cleff.
She quickly folded the small piece of paper into a small aeroplane and flew it onto Georgie's desk.
As the teacher continued to drone on about why imagination was illegal and blah blah blah, Robin continued to doodle music notes onto some lined paper, composing a tune for her guitar, Red Special (after Brian May's guitar), which she had created.
Aah, she sighed to herself. Brian May, the legend of Rock. I wish I could meet him. Too bad he's been dead for nearly three hundred years or more.

Georgie stopped tapping when a paper aeroplane landed on her desk. She looked in the direction in which the aeroplane had come from, and saw a girl, who she knew was called Robin, scribbling stuff in a note book. Opening the note, it told her to meet with her after class, and it was signed with a funny musical note thing.

Slipping the note into her bag, she turned back to the teacher, who was still ranting about creativity and imagination. She started tapping out a tune with her pencil on the desk, annoying the teacher.

"Susan Greyson, stop that!" the teacher barked. Georgie smiled, and to vex the teacher more, started to hum. Then, she started to sing.

"Here we stand, or here we fall. History won't care at all."

Robin tilted her head to the side when she heard the tune. She recognised it. It was by an old band back in the days of imagination. Hammer to Fall by Queen! Brian May! She thought to herself. Robin started clapping and joined in with Georgie.
"Wake the dead, fight the fight, Lady Mercy won't be home tonight yeah. You don't waste no time at all, Don't hear the bell but you answer the call, It comes to you as to us all, We're just waiting for the hammer to fall," she said, standing up, showing their individuality.

Georgie smiled as she heard Robin stand up and join in, clapping. The class looked terrified, the teacher furious.

"Oh ev'ry night and every day, a little piece of you is falling away! But lift your face the Western Way, build your muscles as your body decays, yeah!" she pumped her fist in the air, laughing.

"Toe your line and play their game yeah, let the anaesthetic cover it all! Till one day they call your name, you know it's time for the hammer to fall!"

To the teacher's complete horror, the two girls continued to sing this unknown song. Robin was singing at the top her lungs, singing as she had never sung before. "Rich or poor or famous, For your truth it's all the same. Lock your door but rain is pouring, through your windowpane, baby now your struggle's all in vain!"
The two sung to the end of the song, by which point the teacher was a deep maroon in fury.
"You two! Principal's Office! NOW!" she yelled as the two girls scarpered from the room. "YOU'LL BE LUCKY IF YOU'RE NOT KILLED!" she screeched after them.
Robin turned to Georgie, laughing. "Nice to see that there are some more people who have brains. I'm Robin," she said, shaking Georgie's hand. "There's a group of us, you know, People like you and me. We're called the Bohemians. We could really do with another person like you."

Once theyhad finished singing, both girls scarpered from the room, the teachers screeching ringing in their ears. Robin introduced herself.

"I'm Susan, but I changed my name to Georgie. First stand against this pointless rules." she smiled. "Second stand was dying my hair purple." she fingered her bunches, and smiled.

"We gotta break free from these rules. And get to the heads office. We'll be killed if we dont go." Georgie quickly changed the subject as she saw a teacher walk past.

The two stopped outside of the Principal's office, hesitating to go in. "What do you say?" Robin asked as she looked through the rippled glass.
She stood next to her tall friend and started humming I want to Break Free by Queen, the band in which her idol, Brian May, had been.

Name: Alyson Glass
Chosen name (doesnt have to relate to their old name): Kelly
Age: 14
Gender: Female
Looks: She is of average height, with long curly chesnut hair and large brown eyes. She's incredibly pretty, but knows it.
Personality: She's vain, narcisstic, selfish, self-obssessed and sometimes concerned more about her appearance than the few real friends that she does have. She does have some weak moments where she is kind and helps others, but these are very unfrequent. She learns quickly but dismisses what she has learnt. She can also be very two-faced, one minute being nice to a person, insulting them the next then complimenting them in the space of two minutes.
How they 'rebel' (Music, story writing, fashion etc. You can have more than one: Fashion and singing.

Alyson rolled her eyes at the racket being yelled by the two girls in her class. What idiots. She had no problem with people singing; in fact she actually quite enjoyed it, but the stupidity of them. Good grief. And in front of goodness knows how many witnesses. She sighed.

She shoved her hand in the air. “Miss? May I be excused to go to the toilet please?”
The teacher nodded, visibly worn out from the antics of the girls. It was nice to have some normal people in her class for a change.

Alyson got up, and strutted out of the room, well aware that she had to look and act the part of a normal girl in the normal world. She took to the direction of the head’s office, and stood in front of the two girls.

“What was that about?” she asked outright, raising an eyebrow.

Georgie was about to enter the Headmasters office, but a voice behind her stopped her.

“What was that about?”

Georgie tuned and saw a girl from her class glaring at her. "I started to sing. Got a problem with that? Was I that bad?" she asked, glaring back. "We're sick of this rubbish laws, we want to make a stand. Is there something wrong with that? Are you one of those robotic clones like everyone else in this place?"

She turned back and saw the headmaster in the doorway. "Oh, uh, sir." she stammered.

Name: Nathan Adderly
Chosen name: Conner
Age: 15
Gender: Male
Looks: Nathan is very good looking but doesn't seem to notice when girls flirt with him. He has straight messy dark brown (almost black) hair that mostly cover his big blue eyes. Tall for his age and kind of skinny. Somewhat muscular but not overdone. Typically found in blue jeans, a black hoodie, and a pair of black beat up converse.
Personality:Nathan has a very Negative outlook on life and doesn't say much. He prefers to stay silent.
How they 'rebel': Poetry
Other: none

Nathan AKA Conner sat in a chair beside the headmaster's office and quietly hummed a tune to himself. He looked up when 3 girls entered the room. Conner could clearly see why the purple haired girl was here, but he didn't know about the other two. The only reason he was there was because a stupid teacher found a poem crammed into one of his notebooks. Conner was quite proud as he was in the office several times a week for showing imagination. He watched two girls go into the office and one sit down a two chairs down from him. "I won't bite ya know." He said to the pretty girl

Georgie stalked into the Heads office and sat down. She knew what was coming now. Detention, possibly hospital, then certain death. Ok, maybe that was a bit of over-reacting (one problem wth imagination, some say), but she had heard of it happening.

Not that she cared. This word was worthless. Crazy rules, pointless punishments, not a nice place to be alive.

Georgie wandered through the waiting room, where she saw a boy sitting on one of the chairs. She stalked through to the office, and plonked herself down on one of the seats.

She started to drum a beat on the arm of the chair, and wanted to start singing just to annoy the head, but thought better of it.

Conner sat in silence until he heard the receptionist told him to head into the office. He quickly got up, shoved his hands into his pockets and walked apathetically into the headmaster's office. He grabbed himself a seat next to the girl with the purple hair. "Let's get this over with." Conner suggested. "Why am I here? I am here because I wrote a poem." He said running through the answers to the usual questions that the principal asked him. "Why did I write it? 'Cause I felt like it. Do I feel bad about it? Not one bit." Conner finished. "Now what's my punishment? 2 weeks detention? Death? Name it." He asked without the least bit of fear kicking his feet up on the head's desk.

Georgie listened to the boy talk to the headmaster as if he had been here a thousand times before. The head asked similar questions to Georgie.

"So, Susan Geyson, why are you here?" he snapped.

"Well, first, my name isn't Susan Greyson. It's Georgie. Second, I sang. A crime? I think not." she slumped back in the char, a look on her face saying that she didnt want to speak, yet the head pressed on.

"You are aware that anything creative, that inclused expressing yourself in different ways, is illegal?"

"No duh, thats all people speak about. You never shut up about it! You sound like a broken record!"

"A record?"

Georgie closed her mouth quickly. She had just admitted that she knew about some things of music from the past. One more 'crime' to add to the list.

"No, you don't look like a cannibal. But, I suppose appearances are deceiving," Alyson snapped at the boy. She crossed her legs and folded her arms, waiting for the girls to come out. She planned on ignoring the boy. She didn't know him, and frankly, she didn't want to know him either. The boy was called into the office, and, after a few moments waiting, she became bored. She stood up, and walked to the door of the office, listening in.
"Well, it seems that just about everybody is happening to break rules. Weird," she sighed.

BEFORE CONNER WENT INTO THE OFFICE:

"Geez. No need to be rude." Conner said as he watched the girl cross her legs and fold her arms. She looks conceited. He thought.

AFTER CONNER WENT INTO THE OFFICE:

The head master swatted Conner's feet off his desk then proceeded to interrogate the purple haired girl. Conner interrupted. "You sang in class?" He asked laughing and giving her a fist bump. "Nice." Conner looked back at the principal's tomato red face and quickly looked down at his feet.
"YOU 2 ARE IN BIG TROUBLE!" The principal yelled steam practically exploding from his ears. Conner tried to stifle a laugh. He loved it when the principal got angry. "WHAT ARE YOU LAUGHING AT BOY!?"
"Nothing." Conner replied still trying to hold down a laugh and looking down.

"YOU TWO ARE IN BIG TROUBLE!" he cried, while the boy next to Georgie tried hard not to laugh. "WHAT ARE YOU LAUGHING AT, BOY?" he damanded.

"Nothing" the boy replied, stifling his giggles.

Georgie however, was not as successfull. She burst out laughing, and watched as the head got angrier and angrier.

"That is it!" he hissed in a dangerously low voice. Georgie's giggles ceased immediately, and the smile slipped from her face. Georgie knew what was coming.

"Detention!"

Georgie and the boy were both dragged from the room, and led down the corridor. They were thrown into a dark, dusty room, and the door slammed shut behind them. Georgie sneezed.

"Man, where is this place?" she asked, sneezing again.

"Detention, surprise surprise." Conner said sarcastically while being dragged down the corridor. After being pushed into a dark room the purple haired girl asked "Man, where is this place?" "I don't know, but it doesn't look like its good. By the way I'm Nathan, but you can call me Conner. And you're......Georgie right?" He said looking for the sparkle from her eyes to determine where she was in the room. "We gotta find some light in this room. Conner backed up until he hit the door then edged his hands up and down the walls to find a light switch. Finally he found something poking out from the wall and moved it up. Bright lights filled the room. Conner was speechless. All he could do was stare at the contraption in the middle of the room.

Georgie blinked as the brightness momentarily blinded her, and spotted what she had bashed into. A huge contraption sat in the middle of the room.

"Oh my gawd. What is THAT!?" she asked, staring at it with wide eyes. "That thing is HUGE!"

She walked round it in a cirlce. She noted that it had eight chairs, eight helmets with a lot of wires coming out of the top, which were connected to the evil-looking machine. She poked one of the helmets, and got a shock.

Sucking her now singed finger, she took another look at the machine, taking in all the levers and wires, and realised what it was.

"Oh my gawd..." she gasped. "Its a brainwasher! Why is there one of these things in the school!?"

"Why is there one of these things in the school!?" "I DON"T KNOW!!! WHY ARE YOU ASKING ME!!!" Conner's breathing started to get heavy. "We've gotta-" He was cut off by a voice coming from a figure that entered the room and turned off all the lights.
"Hello children." Said the freakishly ominous voice.
"Who the heck are you!?" Conner freaked.
"You don't need to know that." The voice answered. Before Conner knew it the figure grabbed him and pushed him down in the brainwashing machine. "Georg-!" Conner tried to warn her before he was gagged.

Robin was next to go into the head's office. He was purple as a beetroot and Robin felt incredibly nervous. She couldn't risk the punishment that she knew was to come. She knew where Georgie and Conner had been taken and knew what was coming next. The headmaster sent Robin to the brainwashing room and she was thrown in with Conner and Georgie.
Robin saw just in time what was about to happen. She saw the man about to strap the brainwashing helmet to Conner. Summoning all her courage, she sprinted towards the figure and Rugby tackled him into the machine, making him crack his head on the side of the metal bench.
Gasping for breath, Robin got up and stood away from the unconscious body. "Are you guys alright?" she asked the other two, dusting her hands off. "We need to get out of here and alert the other Bohemians. Meat and Brit will know what to do. They can help," she said this all very breathlessly.

"What do we do now? Surely we cant stay here in schol. One, the headmaster will be furious that we are not brain dead clones, two, the teacher will be furious that we are not brain dead clones, and three, our classmates will be furious that we are not brain dead clones."

Alyson had rolled her eyes as she found out that they would get detention. She didn’t expect anything else. Still…she was getting a weird feeling. She decided to trail them. Simply because she could. And she also had another feeling. That she belonged. She broke the rules as well, and had an urge to sing along with the two girls in class, but managed to keep her head down. She didn’t need to draw attention to herself that way.
After the three left the class and headed in the direction of detention, she stood up and followed a distance behind, making sure that it seemed she just happened to be walking in that direction.
She followed them into the detention hall and stared in horror at the contraption. “Grief…” she mumbled, realising she had drawn herself to attention. Idiot. Ah well, doesn’t matter now. “Is it…really a brainwasher?”

"Oh, it's you. What do you want? And yes. That is a brainwasher..." Robin looked at the ghastly machine and shuddered a little. "Let's just hope we never get brainwashed..."
Robin kicked the machine lightly and an alarm and siren sounded, red lights flashing everywhere. "Crikey! We better get out of here!"

((Sorry I got a little carried away with the WWRY references, Amypops. But! Eventually getting in through the window, she called down to Connor. "I'm in! Your turn!" she shouted, wandering around the abandoned building slowly.

The place was falling to pieces, with huge chunks of wall and roof missing here and there.

We're gonna have to try and stay in the most central part of the house." Conner walked back over to the window. "Okay guys, you can come up!" He called to the other two girls. "So this is our home for the next couple of months huh?" Conner sighed. "I guess it could be worse." At least I get to spend it with Georgie. He blushed. No. You do not like her. You don't do girls. "Yeah, Too bad nobody can hear it. I like singing. But it's illegal." she sighed, drawing smiley faces in the dust on the floor absent-mindedly.

"I used to write stories, too. But my parents found all my stories, and burnt them. Then the school found more of them, and burnt them, too. So I wrote more. And they destroyed them. So I dyed my hair, and found an illegal website, filled with ancient music from years before the music ban. So, I learnt the songs, and kept singing them in class. My parents were ashamed, the school furious, but I really couldn't care less."

Robin was left on her own after the other two had fled from the school, the police going after them. Robin had simply hidden behind some bushes and waited for the police to leave. When they had all gone, she sprited home and quickly grabbed her scoot and slung her guitar, Red Special, on her back and waited for dark. When the night came in, she headed towards the building that she knew the others had run to.
She had thought to bring food, water, blankets and a lantern.
Hearing the voices inside, she came in through the window, guitar bag on her back and scooter in her hand.
"Hi guys! You didn't think you'd see me again, did you?"

Georgie shrieked as she saw a shillouette clibing in through the window. She was about to throw something at it, when she recognised Robins voice.

"Gawd. Stop doing that!" she gasped. "I keep thinking the police are closing in on us!" She dramatically put a hand to her heart.

She helped Robin in with her bundles, and carefully set them on the floor.

"You have a guitar!? Awesome!" she cried, picking up the guitar gingerly. "And you brought blankets. But you have a guitar! Where did ya get it?"

Robin took the guitar from Georgie's hands. It was a polished, red wood, mahogany, perhaps. Robin didn't really know, because she had cut the guitar's shape out of an old table in her attic.
"Well..." she began as she searched for the right words to start. "I'm a huge fan of the Rock Legend from the time of imagination, Brian May. I was searching the rebel site and I found pictures of his guitar, Red Special. He made that when he was 16 years old. I decided that I would make my own guitar and fight to bring back music and imagination. Well, I started rooting around in my attic at home and I came over a most peculiar thing. It was, if I'm right, an SG Gibson in polished cherry. Well, it looked in pretty bad condition. I was able to use the strings and neck from it, but the body was beyond repair. I cut the body from an old table and then created my guitar. I called it Red Special II after Brian May's guitar."
Robin fished around in her pocket and pulled out a battered-looking pick. "See this?" she said, showing it to Georgie. "This is a genuine pick. Merchendise from some sort of rock musical back in the early 2000s. It was called We Will Rock You," she said, turning the pick over in her hands. It was made of red plastic and on one side it had the words we will rock you with a silhouette of a man and a guitar and on the other side it read, "I want to Break Free..."
Taking the guitar onto her knee, Robin quietly strummed some chords. "I want to break free.... I want to break free. I'm sure you know this song, eh, Georgie?"

((I saw a plectrum like that on the WWRY website. Mum said I wasn't getting them :p))

"Wow. An awesome guitar with a history!" she said, in awe. She admired the 'pick', as Robin had called it, staring at the words on it.

"A musical, do you say? Early 2000's? That was AGES ago! Are you saying that there was once a time where music and theatre were together!? On stage!?" she jumped gleefully. She had heard of 'musicals' from some ancient website, one the administrators had apparently missed out.

As Robin started to sing the first few lines of 'I want to break free', Georgie found herself singing the song for the second time that night.

"I want to break free, I want to break free! I want to break free from your lies, you're so self satisfed, I dont need you..."

"Yes, once there was a time when music and acting and dancing were all together on stage. It's sad to think that since then, everything that we, as the Human Race, have achieved, is gone." Robin kept strumming the guitar as Georgie sang. Closing her eyes, she lost herself in the music and went crazy on the instrument, playing an amazing guitar solo. She had no idea where that had come from.
"Oh. Sorry 'bout that. Didn't realise that was happening," she said, stopping abruptly. She pocketed her precious pick and put Red Special II back into its case.

Georgie laughed as Robin launched into a crazy guitar solo. "Hah. Nice." she commented, applauding.

"Music and acting on stage..." Georgie sighed. "Man, I would have loved to have been around when that happened. It sounds amazing!"

She went back to drawing the smiley faces in the dust, listening to the quiet sounds of the rain. Soon, angry voices, shouting and swearing, broke the peace.

Georgie ran to the gap in the wall, and quickly retreated, swearing.

"The police! They're outside!" she cried, panicking. "D'ya think they heard us singing and playing!?"

Robin quickly grabbed the blankets and stuffed them into the guitar case, along with the food and she grabbed the lantern.
"Come on guys! There's an old underground station around the corner. Split up and meet there."

"Never mnd seeing the guitar, if they see us we're dead!" Georgie cried frantically, grabbing some things together, and searching for another way out.

The police were now all under the window. "And how do you know theres an abandoned place? What if it's a trap!?"

The police noticed them scrabbling around, and shot through the window. Georgie screamed before she could stop herself, giving away their position.

"Let's go!" she cried, finding a narrow staircase and bounding down the steps two at a time. Once outside, she kept running.

Robin slung her guitar case on her back and grabbed her scooter as she ran down the stairs and launched herself out of a first story window, landing deftly on her feet. Still holding the scooter, she regained her balance and then launched off at a huge speed, scooting along faster than normal people could run.
A bullet whizzed past her ear, missing her and her guitar narrowly. She took a corner too sharply and Robin was flung off the scooter, landing in a heap on someone's front lawn. She saw her scooter get run over by a car and was forced to run.
Robin saw the half-destroyed underground station in the distance and she put on a burst of speed and, as she drew closer, built power in her legs. When she was only a few metres away, she sprang from the road and crashed through some windows and landed in a darkened room, there she hid in the shadows of the walls and caught her breath.

Georgie saw Robin ahead, diving down an old, crumbling set of stairs. She followed her down, diving in through the window that she had just entered.

She wasn't expecting the sudden darkness, and she bumped into a few things that fell to the ground with a crash. The objects rolled around, making a racket, and Georgie cringed, wishing to shrink into the shadows.

Once her eyes got used to the dark, she saw a huge object that looked like a drum on the floor.

"An Instrument?" she wondered out loud, and clasped her hand over her mouth as her voice echoed in the empty dark.

"Ssh!" Robin whispered, looking tentatively around. She could still hear the sirens from the Police cars. She could see Georgie's moonlit form by the window through which they had entered. Robin crept up behind her, and, putting a hand over Georgie's mouth to prevent her from screeching, led her to the shadowy corner away from the window.
"Georgie, we need to hide further in. I don't think the police know where this is. It's an old underground station. If we're lucky, we'll be able to find a good hiding area," Robin said as she turned on the electric lantern, casting a blue glow in the building. Tiles were falling off the walls and some pillars had crumbled and collapsed. There was a set of elevators next to some stairs and Robin walked towards them, her free hand clasped around Georgie's wrist.
They went into the belly of the building, now completely underground. It was quiet and dark in the station and Robin could see some boarded up shops. Shops such as WHSmith and HMV which had been long since destroyed once imagination had died.
Robin was instantly taken by a WHSmith that had some boards falling off of it.
She wriggled through a crevice in the wall and came out in a small-ish room, still lined with hundreds of magazines and books, somehow perfectly preserved.
"Hey, Georgie!" she hissed through the crack. "Come on in! There are books in here! Fictional books from 254 years ago!"

"Oh. My. Gawd." Georgie breathed, scrambling after Robin into the boarded up store. "So much books! I thaught they burned them all!" she cried, excited.

She ran over to a shelf, picking up numerous books and wiping dust off of their covers. Georgie sneezed.

"Yuck. 254 year old dust." she gagged. Walking over to another shelf, she picked up a magazine and checked the date on the front.

"6th December, 2055. My gawd, how old are these things!?" she saw a newspaper, with the same date on the front as the magazine.

"A newspaper? They havent been banned. Maybe it was just stuck in here with the rest of the books." she wondered, eyeing the headline: "IMAGINATION DIES"

Robin looked around the shop, deciding what to do first. She heard Georgie's question about why all the books had been left here. "Well, I guess when the overland maglev trains took off, they no longer needed the underground and destroyed it quite suddenly. They must've been in such a rush that they forgot to get rid of all the books."
She continued looking around until she found a rack of chewing gum. "You know that this stuff never goes off, eh? Well, I'm going to try some!" she said as she popped a stick of gum into her mouth. "Wow! This is fantastic! Much better than the stuff now!"
Robin continued looking around until she found something rather boxy with lots of knobs on it. "Hey, look at this! It's one of those... what are they called? CD players!" Robin turned the CD player over in her hands and found an old-style battery compartment. She picked up a pack from the counter and put them into the CD player and turned it on. Rooting around on a very dusty CD rack, she found a CD of Queen's greatest hits. "Wow! We can listen to real music!" she said as she put the CD into the player and it started playing music.

Georgie accepted a bit of chewing-gum from Robin and agreed - the stuff was better. It had flavour. Most of the things nowadays were made for nutrition, not taste. She jumped when Robin stuck on the CD player, as she had been engrossed in the newspaper.

"What are these songs?" she wondered. "I've heard them before! They were on that illegal music site!" She started to dance along with Robin, but stopped suddenly when a thought struck her.

"Wont the music attract the police's attention? It's so quiet up there, and down here, wont the music be quite loud?"

"Cripes! Yeah!" Robin said as her eyes grew wide with sheer terror. She jumped at the CD player, switching it off. She cocked her head to the side and listened out for any sound of the police. Very faintly, she could hear the sound of sirens.
Robin tucked Red Special II and its case away under the counter and then went over to the crack through which they came and looked out to see if anyone else was in the station. Not a single other person was there.
"No one else is here, so we're safe... for now," Robin said, hearing her heart beating in her ears. She grabbed a wooden rack and dragged it across the floor and covered up the hole in the wall through which they came, to stop it from being seen.
"Our only problem now is what's going to happen when it comes to food? I think I can safely say that there will be wanted posters up everywhere... what's going to happen? I don't think that 200 year old chocolate will be able to keep us alive and all the liquids will be stagnant now."

Georgie nodded in agreement. "But the stuff down here is so good!" she sulked. "It has flavour! Thing is, this chewing gum makes you hungrier, so that wont work..." she said sadly, sniffing a chocolate bar that had gone mouldy.

"I think we might have to go back up to the surface to get something. We might last a few days without food..." she trailed off, dreading having to return to the surface. As Robin had said, wanted posters were probably stuck to every blank space of wall by now.

She blew a bubble with her chewing gum. The bubble popped with the noise of a gunshot in the silence.

((Could they get caught and wake up in the hospital if they do go to the surface?))

Possibly chocolate that is good, too. But, we'll have to go up in disguise to get food at some point..."
Robin was still looking around at everything and she found some books that looked like they were in good condition. One was even a book of guitar music.
"This place is a treasure trove of imagination! It's great!"

"Oh my gawd, this book has drawings inside it too! Who knew that under our feet there had always been this place, filled with the illegal things that we enjoy?" she asked, looking at the other books.

"I can't believe they'd just leave this here! Maybe they never expected anyone to find this place. Or maybe... nah." She dismissed the thought of 'trap' from her mind.

But the already opened boards... stop. It's not a trap. The police would be too scared to even touch these things...

Robin could see the scared look in Georgie's eyes as it flashed over her face as she thought something. Faint sounds of sirens grew much quieter as the police seemed to be leaving, having been unable to find them hidden in the old shop.
"Nah, it's not possible for the police to have come here. They would be too terrified to even think of doing something like coming here. No, if anything, the people who have been here at some point are fellow rebels..." Robin trailed off thoughtfully as she opened a packet of crisps and tentatively nibbled on one.

Georgie helped herself to one of Robins crisps, wandering around the old shop aimlessly.

She stopped and listened as she heard the sounds of sirens in the distance, holding her breath as they got closer, and letting it out noisily when she heard them pass. She had done this every time a siren was heard, which was quite frequently.

"Any idea what the time is?" she asked Robin. "I must be nearly morning. In better light, they'll probably expand their search for us."

She returned to her pacing, nicking a few more crisps from Robins packet as she passed.

Robin quickly had a terrifying thought that if they were caught and brain-washed, she would be seperated from her precious guitar. She grabbed a notebook from the shop's counter and scribbled: Red Special II, WHSmith counter, Hyde Park Corner underground station. She scrunched up the note and stuffed it into her jeans pocket, making sure she wouldn't lose it.
"I really hope that those brain-dead clone police don't find us. I don't want to lose my brain and imagination. Something must be done!" she said, pounding her fist into a hand. A little bleep emitted itself from Robin's watch, making her jump.
"Um, time is... 2.30am. 'Tis early."

She was still standing, and her neck hurt a bit because she was in an awkward position, but she was too tired to move. She helped herself to another piece of chewing gum from the counter.

"Y'know, if the police find us, I'm gonna get caught. I'm too tired to move." Georgie mumbled sleepily, her eyes drooping.

Looking around at the surroundings of the old shop, she went over to a book shelf with classics and bestsellers and at the top of the classics was a book titled Harry Potter and the Philospher's Stone.
Her eyes wide with interest, Robin pulled it down from the shelf and went back to the counter and started reading.

It wasnt exactly confortable, but Georgie was too sleepy to care. She used the paper pillow and her jacket as a blanket, falling asleep almost instantly.

As she slept, she dreamt of everything that happened that day. The singing, the detention, the near-brainwashing, the running, the escaping, finding the bookstore. Well, one things for sure, the day hadnt been boring.

She put on her black jacket and shook Georgie awake.
Robin could tell that Georgie was going to shriek, so she clamped her hand over Georgie's mouth. "Don't make a noise," she whispered hurriedly. She could hear the sounds of clumping boots getting nearer and nearer.

"Whats up?" she mouthed.

She tied up her long, white hair and looked around, the dim light reflected in both her blue and green eyes.
Bending over, she picked up the guitar case and looked around for anything else they could use. She found a map of the underground. "Right, we're at Hyde Park Corner station. If we use this map, we can follow the lines up to another station!" she said as she slung the guitar on her back.

Robin ran side by side with Georgie, her breath coming in short, explosive gasps as she found herself pushing herself harder and harder to run into the dark. She knew it was at least two miles to the next stop and she could barely run another step.
From the dim light of her keyring torch, she saw a little alcove covered in graffiti. The police probably wouldn't see it in the pitch black darkness.
Grabbing Georgie, Robin backed into the alcove and extinguished her torch, hearing the police run on after what they thought were two girls sprinting on in terror.
Robin picked up a large rock and hefted it down the tunnel in the way that they had been running. The rock landed with many clatters as it bounced along the metal and cement of the ground. It sounded like an eclectic running pattern. This spurred the Police on, making them think they had the two girls.
"C'mon Georgie," Robin said as she gripped Georgie's wrist and led her back to the station from which they had just left.
Panting, Robin rolled onto the station after having scrambled up onto the ledge. She put her hand into a side pocket on her guitar case and took out her asthma inhaler. She didn't suffer too badly from Asthma but sometimes after haring around a lot or running around in an incredibly dusty place, for example, would leave her chest tightening. She took a puff from the inhaler and continued to do so until she could breath properly again.
"They'll soon realise what we've done and they'll be heading this way soon," Robin said as she got to her feet, helping Georgie up too. "We better get outta here."
The two girls, battered and bruised and aching from head to toe climbed up the staircase towards the exit of the station.
"We'll need to be on our toes, if we're going to avoid the---- umph!" Robin said as she walked into something big which gripped her arms behind her back. She had quite literally walked into the arms of a police officer. "...crap."

As they clambered breathlessly back onto the platform, she lay down to catch her breath, and was helped to her feet a few moments later.

"Thanks, Robi..." the sentence died on her tongue as she saw Robin being held by a police officer, stuggling to get free. She looked behind her, and saw the person who had helped her up, another policeman.

Georgie, still kicking and screaming, was dragged up the staircase roughy, and up into the street. The morning light blinded her eyes, but she couldn't shield them, as the police man still held her arms tightly behind her back.

She knew what was coming next. She would be brainwashed, and all imagination and creativity she had kept hidden from the world would be gone.

As the police shoved her into the car, she started to sing again, showing them that she still had creativity, she was still rebelling. A policeman slapped her across the face, obviously to shut her up, and she bashed her head against the car window.

The last thing she saw before blacking out was Robins scared face.

Gone in a landslide, no escape from reality. By the time she had finished writing everything down, the car stopped at a jolt and they were carried out, Red Special's case was being carried by the police man and she knew what was going to happen to her precious books. Suddenly, she remembered what had happened earlier, the chase and the arrest, and started to panic. She struggled in the policemans grip.

"Uh uh! No way! You can't brainwash me!" she cried, still struggling. The policeman tightened his grip, making Georgie cry out in pain.

A helmet was strapped onto her head and she knew that life, as she knew it, was going to be destroyed.
"You may take our imagination, you may take our freedom and our spirit, but you'll never take the music that lives within us!" she cried out as a switch was flipped and jolts of energy ran through her body, stripping her of her imagination. Tears flowed freely down her face as she lost memory after memory, note after note, song after song, until nothing was left.

She was strapped to a big, cold chair and a helmet was strapped to her head. She felt that she knew what it was and why she was there, but the answer kept running out of her grasp as soon as she started to think what it could be.
A sound rung in her ears, reminding of something that she thought she used to know. Robin tried to mimick the sound with her voice, but found herself incapable of doing so.
She wriggled slightly as she tried to get up out of the chair. Robin's eyes were getting used to the dark lighting of the room and she made out the shape of another figure slumped in an identical-looking chair. She felt as though she should know this girl, like she had gone through lots with her.

Leaning on what she now saw was a chair, she got up, and pulled the thing on her head off after a few minutes of tugging. She saw someone across the room, and as her eyes got used to the darkness, she recognised the figure, but didn't know where from. The more she tried to remember where, the more her head hurt.

Pain blinded the girl formerly known as Robin. She clutched her hands to her head as she tried to make sense of what had happened. The chairs bleeped and blooped and they formed themselves into a tune to Erin's ears. She started to hum the tune that she started to hear but the pain came back to her in more power when she tried to hum what she had heard.
"What is this pain?!" she cried out in a hollow voice. THe sound echoed dully off the walls and her ears rung with the sound that came to her ears. She saw the form of the other girl once more and she suddenly had an impulse to go over to her.
"Er... hello?" Erin said inquisitively.

((Yeah, by their real names.))

Susan, formerly known as Georgie, turned when she heard somene behind her speak.

"The pain is blinding." Susan muttered. "Oh, hello." she said to the girl behind her. "You wouldn't happen to know why we are in here, would you? I can't rember much at all..." she trailed off, staring at the machine behid her. It was huge, covered in computer screens and flashing lights.

It beeped in a rhythmic pattern, and Susan felt the need to tap along to the beat, but another sharp pain in her head stopped her. She staggered backwards, clamping her hand to her head.

"Ow..."

Erin shook her head sadly. She couldn't remember anything at all. She felt like she should remember, but something was blocking her. She looked into her mind and tried to read her thoughts, but there was nothing there, only a blinding whiteness where there used to be imagination.
"Wherever we are, we need to get out of here. This place has a bad feeling about it. Oh, I'm Erin, by the way," Erin said as she thrust her hand out to the other girl. "Who're you?"

"Susan. Susan Greyson." she replied, grabbing Erin's hand. "And yes, let's go. This place is giving me the creeps."

As they wandered about, looking for an exit in the darkness, Susan suddenly realised that she couldn't remember how she had gotten here.

"Do you know how you got here?" she asked Erin. "I don't remember how I got here, or why I am here." Every time she tried to remember, it was if a wall had been built in her mind, refusing her entry to her memories.

"Erm.... no, I don't know how we got here. I don't remember anything actually," Erin said as she looked around the concrete corridors. She shoved her hands into her jeans pockets and she felt a piece of paper. Pulling it out, her brow creased in confusion. "What's this?" she said to herself as she looked at the crumpled up piece of paper. There were some words written down on there and they seemed strangely familiar. Robin. Red Special II, WHSmith counter, Underground Station. Is this the real life, is it just fantasy? Gone in a Landslide no escape from reality.
"Do these words make any sense to you, Susan?" Erin said, handing the piece of paper to her companion/

((How about they catch themselfes in a mirror, and remember a bit about why tey are wearing strange rebel clothes? And you can remember from your little sheet of paper, and me from my hair?))

Susan stared at the words on the paper. "They seem familliar, somehow... but every time I try to remember, it's like a wall pops up, denying me entry to my brain!" she cried, frustrated.

"I cant remember anything! How I got here, why I am here, what happened before I got here..." She sat down on one of the empty chairs, shoving a helmet out of the way. "It's so frustrating!"

She looked around again, and in the dim light saw an outline of something that looked large and rectangular. "Hey, d'ya think that might be a door?" she asked Erin, pointing to it.

Erin was still puzzling over the little piece of paper with random words written on it. She was jolted back into the world when Susan asked her about the door. Erin looked up, surprised slightly and looked at the door.
"Yeah, I reckon that's the door. We should try to get out of here quickly, it's bad in here." Erin rose to her feet and turned to look around. There was a big mirror on the wall and it showed the two girls' reflections. Erin looked at her white hair and different coloured eyes, and then at the multiple piercings in her ears. From her ears, she looked at the rebel clothing that she was wearing and saw the chains on her black jeans and the brightly coloured converse hi-tops she was wearing. She looked at a strange piece of plastic on a chain around her neck. Erin tugged the chain off her neck and looked at the little piece of plastic in her hands. It was triangular in shape and it was fiery red in patterns. On one side it had a faded logo bearing the words We Will Rock You and on the reverse it read I want to break free...
Something jolted awake in Erin's mind and some memories came back to her. Her brain filled with music and she was able to sing.
"Is this the real life? Is it just fantasy? Gone in a landslide, no escape from reality..." she sang. Some things were still fuzzy to her, but Erin knew one thing: Her Music was back.

Susan saw herself in the mirror, and had to look a second time, she didn't believe what she saw.

Her hair was purple, tied up in messy bunches on the top of her head. She wore a brightly coloured stripy t-shirt, with a green jacket over the top, a skirt, a pair of jeans, and some converses. Something at the back of her mind told her that this wasn't the way she should be dressing, but she wanted to dress like this.

She heard Erin gasp and start to say words in a rhythmic pattern, tapping her feet on the ground. Susan stared back at her hair, and one word floated in her mind:

Rebel.

"Open your eyes, look up to the skies and see, Im just a poor boy, I need no sympathy..." she sang along with Erin, as memories came flooding back.

"...Because I'm easy come, easy go, little high, little low. Anyway the wind blows doesn't really matter to me... to me..." Erin said, words and music flooding into her mind. She didn't know where they were coming from, but she liked them and didn't want them to stop.
Erin closed her eyes and saw images float in and out of memory, just as she got to know what they were, they were gone, and so was the memory. She fleetingly glimpsed an abandoned shop with books and sweets and all sorts of things and she saw a dusty sign saying WHSmith. This memory stuck in Erin's head and she looked down at the piece of paper held in her gloved hand. Red Special, WHSmith, Underground Station.
"Susan, I don't know what's happening, but I know that if we're seen like this, after what seems to be an attempted brainwashing," Erin said, the words tumbling out of her mouth with no thoughts guiding them. "Then I just know we're going to be hurt for it. C'mon, we need to get out of here..." she said, gripping Susan's wrist and pulling her towards the door.

As the memories came flooding back, they were washed away almost instantly, and the more Susan tried to grab at them, the quicker they went away. She heard Erin sing another verse next to her, but she didn't join in. She just wanted her memories back.

"Susan, I don't know what's happening, but I know that if we're seen like this, after what seems to be an attempted brainwashing, then I just know we're going to be hurt for it. C'mon, we need to get out of here..." Erin said, gripping Susan's wrist and dragging her away from the mirror and towards the door.

Whatever they tried to do to us, it didn't work. We were just singing, Susan. Something punishable by Death. No normal people would do that. Evidently, before we had our brains washed, we must have been a part of some rebellion and we must have been caught. Why else do you think we woke up here, not knowing anything? But our minds are coming back to us. Something must have gone wrong, because we can do things that other people are too afraid to do!"

The two girls ran from the room, and along a corridor. Susan stopped suddenly.

"It's such a pain to have something so close in your mind but not be able to remember where it is!" she said out loud, kicking the wall in frustration.
Erin heard angry, shouting voices from down the corridor. In blind panic, she picked up Susan, who was much taller than her, and ran along the corridors, out of some double doors and into the open. Ducking behind a bush, she gasped and panted as she tried to catch her breath. One thing she hadn't forgotten was that she was Asthmatic. She pulled her inhaler from her pocket and puffed until her breathing was unrestricted.

Susan looked down the corridor towards some angry voices, which were coming closer. Erin grabbed her and they ran towards a set of double doors and outside, not stopping untill they were safely concealed behind some bushes.

Susan lay down in the dirt, trying to catch her breath, whilst Erin puffed an asthma inhaler next to her.

"Jeezo, how can you run so fast!?" Susan gasped breathlessly. "Gawd, I need a drink or something now." She leant against one of the bushes, taking in as much air as she could.

"I feel uneasy here, Su... I don't like it. I think we should get out of here whilst we still can..." Erin said, getting shakily to her feet, looking around nervously, before tentatively stepping out from their hiding place.

Susan stood up, following Erin and poking her head out of the bush. The place was eerily silent, and the rustle of the bushes sounded a lot louder than it actually was. They walked slowly out of the bushes, and creeped across the ground. Susan got a feeling that they were being watched. She shvered uneasily.

"Susan... Susan..." she repeated over and over. "I don't like this name..." she muttered to herself. "It sounds strange."

A bird hopped out of a tree above them, and Susan had to clamp a hand over her mouth to stop herself screaming out in shock. "Just a bird... just a bird..." she told herself.

"It's ok, Susan," Erin said as she stared at the bird. "It's only a Robin..." she said, gazing at the little bird that was hopping around on the ground by Erin's feet. She pondered over her name. Erin was a nice enough name, but it didn't suit her. She felt like she needed a different name, something that could show her freedom. Watching the bird steadily, a word formed itself in her mind. As she fought to save the word, it disappeared from memory as soon as it came into focus in her mind.
Her fingers grazed the scrunched up paper in her pocket and she opened it up again and the first word she saw was: Robin.
The memory flew back to the girl formerly known as Erin. She had been Robin before the brainwashing, and Robin she would stay.

"Oh, a robin!" Susan cooed. The bird did not fly away at her voice, but stared back at Erin, as though they were having a fierce staring match. Susan found this strange.

She saw Erin take a piece of paper out of her pocket, and look at it, then the robin, then back to the paper, then back to the robin...

"Whats on the paper?" Susan asked, curious. "A drawing of the bird or something? You seem to be looking at it a lot..."

"No..." Robin said, thinking very hard about what had just happened. "It's not a picture. It's a name. My name, to be precise. I don't know why, but I have a very strange feeling that before they tried to brainwash us, we were Rebels. I mean, look at us. And that made me think: Rebels would give themselves new names to symbolise their freedom. I must have given myself the name Robin when I was a rebel, for it is the name of a bird, and birds are free creatures. Robin I was then, and Robin I shall now become once more..." she said, putting the piece of paper back into her pocket and stared intently back at the bird. "Thank you for helping me to remember a piece of who I am," she said, incling her head towards the bird, looking almost like she was bowing.

"Georgie... thats a cool name." she muttered. "Ok. From now on, call me Georgie. I dont know what a Georgie is, or if it is free, but I like the sound of it." she grinned. "Ok, one thing remembered, another million to go..." she muttered sarcastically.

She lay back and held her hands under her head, watching as each twinkling star came out. It was a beautiful, clear night. "Why do they not like people like us?" Robin asked suddenly, genuinely confused. "I mean, why are they so scared of people who are different?"

Susan, now back to Georgie, lay down next to Robin on the grass. The night was clear, and you could see each star easily.

"Why do they not like people like us? I mean, why are they so scared of people who are different?" Robin asked suddenly. Georgie shrugged.

"Dunno. But I remember from some History lesson, something about a murder case, and bribery and trickery, and a Prime Minister who went too far. It's been like this ever since. I guess they've just been brought up to feel like this towards imagination." Georgie sighed. "But surely, without creativity, we'd probably js be like statues, not having the creativity to think about moving. Or doing anything, for that matter."

Robin nodded and continued to stare into the sky as she pondered what it meant to be rebellious and have imagination. A random quote sprang to her mind, although she didn't know where it came from.
With great power comes great responsibilty... Robin said it out loud as she pondered what it meant. Closing her eyes, Robin started to hum a tune to herself, starting to recognise it as it was pulled up from the dregs of her memory.

"Georgie, there's something else. There's an instrument in an old Underground Station. Music. I hope it hasn't been destroyed by the policemen, because it's one of the last instruments left."

Robin said, jumping to her feet too, still looking up at her much taller friend. "Oh, and by the way..." she said, pulling Georgie down to her head height by her shoulder. "Stop growing, please!" Robin said as she started off, looking around as she jumped through the bush into the dark street.
Hurrying around, Robin looked at the unfamiliar surroundings as she tried to get her bearings. Her feet took her where she wanted to go and she found herself remembering the chase that had happened.

"Hey, Robin" Georgie whispered into the darkness. "Got a light? I think I found the drum I knocked over before!" She heaved the circular object up, and tapped lightly on its top. The sound echoed in the gloom.

"Awesome..." she said, tapping out a beat, and listening gleefully to its sound bouncing off the walls.

Turning it on it's top, she started to drum a metallic clanging rhythm along with Georgie. Soon they had a percussionistic piece.
"This is pure awesome!"

Georgie laughed as Robin started drumming out a beat, and the two girls sat drumming out a tune, the noise echoing loudly of the bare walls. Georgie moved, and saw another drum, a smaller one. And a pile of other things.

"Wow. What are these?" Georgie said, picking up something that looked like a mis-shaped, small guitar. She tried plucking it, but it didn't make much sound. She picked up another object, a silver tube, and blew gently into a small hole at the top. It played a quiet note. Georgies face broke into a grin.

"Robin, I think I've found some instruments!"

"Hey, I've seen one of these before!" Robin said, something clicking in the back of her mind. "It's called a Sax-o-maphone! I saw it on the rebel website!" Placing her fingers on some of the keys, she pressed down and blew hard on the mouthpiece. A deep, resonant note echoed out from the Saxomaphone and bounced off the walls of the underground station.

She blew into one of the small squares, giggling like a small child, and continued to play "twinkle twinkle little star".

"Dont know where that came from, but it sounded cool!"

She dug around in the pile of instruments, and came across a small, stained and torn book. She opened it, and found it full of small black dots with sticks coming out of the top. The ink was fading, so the rows of lines were hard to see, but the black dots stood out clearly.

"Hey, Robin, d'you know what this is?" she asked, showing her the book.

"Oh! I know what these are!" she said, jumping out of her thoughts as she recognised the music. "These are notes! It's written music to aid people with knowing what to play on their instrument. It's like reading, but with music. I wish I knew how to read this..."

Other people who write stories and songs?" Georgie was getting exited now, almost jumping about. "Other rebels like us?"

Robin peered over Georgie's shoulder at the book of music. She squinted at the dots and lines. They had been written in a black pen, and were quite strong. Evidently they were quite recent. With a jolt, Robin could recognise one of the notes. It was a dot with a line through it below the big lines.
"I know that one... that's a C, I think..." Robin said, still puzzling over why people read and wrote music rather than just playing the music itself. It didn't make any sense.

"A C... a letter? I really don't get all this music stuff. Hence why I stuck to the singing, dressing crazily and story writing."

Georgie grinned, sitting down on top of one of the drums. She started to hum to herself, tapping out another beat on the edgeof the drum, the sound echoing noisily off the walls, making it sound louder than it actually was.

As the noise faded, it was replaced by another sound... the sound of footsteps. As Georgie got off the drum, she was about to turn around when a voice screamed "DONT MOVE!"

Georgie froze when she heard someone screaming for her not to move. Terrified, she did as she was told. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw someone snatch the saxomaphone out of Robin's hand. "Hmph. Just 'cause they can play guitar! All of us Rebels are dreamers. I can play guitar! I can sing! We both can! What makes them so special?" she sulked, crossing her arms in a stroppy, childish way. Dot always won their arguments, and Cassidy hated it. "I dont trust them!"

Georgie sang along with Robins guitar chords, grinning fom ear to ear. Never before had she had this much fun, not even when she was illegally playing and singing earlier. Maybe it was because that with every note sung, another memory came back.

As Robin strummed and the strings pressed into her fingertips, she felt a rush of joy running through her as she played the music. Memories flooded her mind, all from the classroom of song to the escape to the underground, to hiding in WHSmith to being brainwashed and everything.
With a gasp, she dropped the guitar as a strong, overpowering surge of pain ripped through her subconscious, blocking off something that she knew was important. She couldn't remember what she had been thinking, and all the memories that she had just dragged up started fading away into the blankness once more. It seemed that there was still some form of residue from the brainwashing.
Robin sat down heavily with a thud as she held her head tightly in her hands, as if trying in vain to hold onto the memories that were swiftly slipping through her fingertips once more.

Georgie noticed Robin gripping her head in pain, and Cassidy noticed the guitar fall to the ground.

"Watch the instrument!" Cassidy cried, diving forward before the guitar could fall to the ground. Georgie helped Robin to sit down. She noticed she was trembling.

"What did you see? What do you remember?!" Georgie asked, hoping that it might spark a memory in her own mind. She looked over, and saw Cassidy cradling the guitar.

"You should watch what you are doing! This might be the only Guitar left in existance, and you nearly smashed it!" Cassidy growled in a low voice.

"Oh thats right, care more about the instrument than my friends health!" Georgie snapped back.

The searing pain in her head subsiding, Robin shakily got to her feet and glared icily at Cassidy. She had taken an instant dislike to the girl and was not in the best mood to be meddled with.
"That is not the last guitar left in existence, I can tell you that now," Robin said, her voice low, one memory standing in particular at the forefront of her mind. "There are two others. One is a half-dead one that lives in my family's attic. It apperently belonged to a long long long time ago relative who was in a band of some sort ((Brian May, lol)) and I repaired it. Family don't know about it being fixed, but it is kept a secret for obvious reasons. The second other guitar that I know of is a hand-made guitar, made by yours truly, and I can prove it..." Robin said as she sped off along the underground station, rapidly recognising her surroundings. She saw the tumbling down WHSmith sign and squeezed in through the crack. She dashed to the counter and took the guitar case out from under there with the guitar still intact.
She raced back to the rebels and Georgie and put the case on the ground and removed Red Special II.

Georgie followed the sprinting Robin to an old, abandoned WHSmith store. Another memory flashed through Georgies mind, and she grinned.

"We had chewing gum here, didn't we?" she said, not really meaning it to be a question. Helping Robin drag the guitar out of its hiding place, they raced back and presented the guitar to an open mouthed Cassidy.

Cassidy stared, silent, and when she finally spoke, her voice came out in a funny, high pitched, squeaky voice.

"A guitar... I cant believe it... another, actual guitar! Can you believe it, Dot!? A GUITAR!" she squeaked in her excitement, jumping up and down. "If these girls have more instruments, we wouldnt have to strain our memories to remember what those instruments looked like! And if that girl," she pointed at Georgie, "Can write stories, we could bring back the
creativity! We could spark the imagination! We could be free again!!"

Dot's mouth hung open when he saw Robin take out the guitar. It had obviously been fashioned out of an old table and all sorts of other things that Robin had found in her attic.
"This is pretty amazing," Dot acknowledged, stroking the guitar, feeling the curves and ridges of the wood. "Do you know of any other instruments? I mean, you said that you had found a guitar very like this in your attic. Do you know if there are any more?"
Robin paused and racked her memory, trying to dredge up the memories of her parent's house. "I'm not sure, but I think there are some more back there. We might have to sneak in at night time, but it could easily be done..."

Georgie raised an eyebrow at Cassidy, who was jumping about in excitement.

"More instruments!?" Cassidy asked, beaming. "This is too good to be true!" Georgie took a step back.

"You're scary when you're excited." Georgie stated, and Cassidy scowled.

"Yeah well, how long's it been since we had music, creativity, freedom? A while. Me and Dot would quite like to see the kids free again, wouldn't we?" Cassidy asked Dot, who ignored her. He was still stroking the guitar. Cassidy shoved him. "Wouldn't we?" she repeated.

Dot shoved Cassidy back as she dragged him out of his thoughts. He beamed in delight as he realised what Robin had said. "Yeah, it'll be amazing if there are other instruments that still work."
Robin smiled as she realised what Cassidy and Dot were getting excited about. Strumming the guitar lightly, she explained to the others where her parents' house was and how to get in without detection.
"Well, whaddya think? When shall we try and get the other instruments?"

10-09-2009, 05:26 PM
"Yes!" Cassidy answered immediately, before anyone else could answer. "We need instruments. We could get the other Rebels to help us, couldn't we Dot?"

"Wait, there are other Rebels?" Georgie asked, surprised.

"Duh! What, D'you think me an' Dot single-handedly wandered about, collecting the pile of instruments you see before you? Course not! We had help, and lots of it!" Cassidy grinned, and turned to Dot. "D'ya think we should take them to meet the other Rebels? Course, we're gonna have to explain bout them. But once we have, we could go hunting again! Creativity will flow!" Cassidy yelled the last sentence, complete with a fist pump. Georgie stifled a giggle.

"Me and Robin found a book shop not far from here, with heaps of books and stuff in it." Georgie rememered the WHSmith not far from where they were standing. "In the underground."

"Great! We havent had time to explore all of these tunnels. Can you show us where!?"

"Of course!" Robin said as she put Red Special II back into its case and shouldered the bag. She pulled out a pocket torch and looked around to find her direction again. She set off down one of the tunnels and called back to Cassidy, Dot and Georgie. "The book shop is down this way. Just follow me!" she sped off down the tunnel, checking back over her shoulder every few seconds to make sure they were still following her.
She came to the tumbling down shop and she pulled one of the rotting boards down from the wall and revealed the entrance.
"Here you go, guys! This is the bookshop!"

Cassidy stared, open mouthed, at the bookshop in front of her.

"Jeez... how long has this been here?" she muttered. "We must have been past here about a million times, but we didn't think to actually look inside!"

She grabbed Dot's wrist, and dragged him on through the gap Georgie and Robins torch illuminated the whole shop, and Cassidy gasped in astonishment.

"Ohmigosh! So much books!" she cried, and all but pounced upon one of the shelves lined with childrens books. "Why didn't any of the other Rebels notice this place before!?"

"Because this place was boarded up earliest during the death of creation and imagination. When they got rid of imagination, they wanted to make sure that no one would see what was left in here." Dot said as he ran his hands over the shelf tops.
"We only found this place because we needed to hide from the police and we managed to get through the cracks. The amount of things that are still here is crazy," Robin said as she picked up a stick of the gum they had chewed when stuck there. "Try some, it's good. This stuff never went out of date."

Georgie took a piece of chewing-gum from Robin as she walked past, trying to remember all that happened here. The brainwashing had frazzled her brain, and she still couldnt remember exactly what happened here.

"Why were we hiding from the police again, Robin? I cant remember..." she grumbled. "I remember this thing, though." she said, pointing at the newspaper 'bed' she had made.

Cassidy eyes the stick of gum Robin offered her. "What does it taste like?" she asked.

"Just try it." Georgie told her, so Cassidy did as she was told.

Robin plucked a gum stick from the packet and chewed it thoughtfully. "Um... Dot? What about music and CD players and all that? They have a CD player here and tons of CDs. Would that be useful to have? I mean, we can listen to the old music and use it to learn the others?"
"I dunno..." Dot said, shrugging and taking a gum stick. "What do you think, Cass?"

"Robin's asking if you want to take the CD player and CD's back to... wherever you stay." Georgie piped in, still chewing the gum. "And I remember a bit now, Robin. 'Cause we were singing in class."

"Bring the what back? A Seedy player? If it relates to old music, then take it!" Cassidy cried. "Lets see it"

Georgie pointed out the CD player, and a stack of CD's. Cassidy picked up a CD and looked at it.

"It looks like a mirror." she stated, seeing her reflection in the shiny side of the CD. "I thought it was a Seedy?" Georgie shook her head at Cassidy's stupidity, grinning.

If you put it in the player and press play, it'll play some of the old music. In the player is a Queen disc. Queen is my favourite band and Brian May is my hero."
She put the CD back into the player and played it loudly. It started playing We Will Rock You. "See? That's how people used to listen to music."

Georgie tried hard to stop the giggling, but failed. Her laughter echoed around the dusty room, bouncing off the walls. She tried to stop, but couldn't. Cassidy raised an eyebrow at her.

"What's up with her?" she asked, slow on th uptake. "It was a simple question!" Cassidy walked over to the CD player, and pressed a random button. The song changed. "Oh wow! How does it do that!?"

"Can we take this stuff back to the Rebels? Also, we should be gettin' back. With the time we've been gone, the others will expect us to have something with us!" she told him.

"Can we come back too?" Georgie asked, excited. Cassidy sighed.

"I dunno, Robin. They'll be a little wary of you, but I'm sure they'll be ok with you eventually." He turned to Cassidy. "Ok Cass, we'll take back some of the stuff, but we surely can't take all of it with us..."

Georgie led the way outof the WHSmith store, and then Dot took the lead, Cassidy struggling behind them with an armfull of CD's and a CD player.

Dot tutted at Cassidy's slightly childish behaviour. He bent down and picked up some of the books from the shelves and grabbed the remainder of the CDs. He turned to look at Robin who was stuffing all sorts of things into her Guitar's case and put it over her shoulder.
"That's one special guitar, isn't it?" he asked her, looking at the guitar that she held in her hands. She was stroking it lovingly.
"Yep. Sure is. I named her Red Special II after Brian May's guitar, Red Special. I'm a big fan of him and I found out so much about him on the rebel website. When I made this guitar, I was making it like this guitar that I found in my attic which looked a lot like the original. I found so much in there that I don't think my parents ever knew about it. Apparently my family have been living there for generations and generations. That's why we have all sorts of stuff there."
"Do you reckon you'll be able to show us the way?" Dot asked as he and Robin walked out after Cassidy and Georgie.
"Yes, as long as we don't let my parents know we're there. They probably think I'm dead or worse..."

"Theres a clock back at the hideout. We can check when we get there." Cassidy told her, walking faster to keep up with Dot, as she was a bit slower with the CD player in her arms. "So, when do you say we can go in and get the stuff? Is there a certain time that your parents are out at work or something?" she asked Robin.

Robin turned to Cassidy first. "My parents work night-shifts. My mum at the hospital and my dad with the police force. I used to look after myself most of the time, so I have a key and all that. They won't be back until about 5 in the morning, roughly." she shifted the guitar in her hands as she then turned to Georgie. She stared intently at her best friend, trying to figure out what she was thinking, but Georgie was as unreadable as a blank book.
"Well... it's a pretty old house. I know it was built in something like 1995. Apparently my great great great great great *many greats later* great grandfather was in a music band and with some of the money he made, he had this house built. He put all of his instruments in the attic and left them their as family heirlooms. As the generations increased, more of my family did that, so we have a ton of instruments in there. That was until the death of imagination. My parents didn't know about all the instruments that were in there. They'd never been into the attic until I found the key somewhere. When we went in, my mum remembered something that her grandmother had told her and she realised how precious these intruments were. She and my Father decided not to destroy them because of how old they were and they told me to not go into that attic. Of course, that made me want to go in and I virtually didn't leave it. That was when I found all the instruments. Most of the guitars were destroyed because of their age but one of them was still working and I repaired the few damages to it and used it as a model to make Red Special II."

Georgie stayed silent for a few more minutes, staring blankly in front of her, trying to remember what she had read. Finally, she spoke.

"Red Special... was Brian May's guitar, right? And you said you found it in your attic? Where he left all the instruments? And you've not moved in generations? Robin... you... you could be a decendant of Brian May!" Georgie squeaked. "Brian May was in that band... what's it called... King? No, no... Queen! Queen, thats it! Ohmygosh, you're decended from some music legend!" she cried, pointing at Robin wildly.

Robin probably thought she was going crazy. Cassidy raised an eyebrow at her.

"Woah, Georgie, calm down a bit, eh? I said I found a guitar that looked a whole lot like Red Special. That's all. It was a broken guitar and it was really cool, in my opinion, but I don't think that I'm going to go as far as to say that that was Brian May's guitar and that I'm descended from him. But yes, he was in Queen. I loved Queen so much as a kid. On the rebel website it said something about Records and all that and I found all of Queen's records in the attic and an old record player. I fell in love with their music. That's all. I don't really think that I am descended from Brian May..."
Dot looked wildly at Robin. "Robin, you said it yourself that your family haven't moved from this family for generations and that some really old relative had that house built using the money he had made from being in a band, then you go and find a guitar that was uber similar to Red Special? I'm not going to say that it is certain, but I'm pretty sure that what Georgie is saying is true..."

10-11-2009, 01:37 PM
"Bit far fetched, yeah, but still possible." Cassidy said, nodding. "'Cause none of the guitars we have found have looked similar at all. So I doubt there would be one similar to Red Special, apart from the one you made, obviously."

"See! You could be!" Georgie said. "How cool is that!? Related to a Rock legend!" she trailed off. "Lucky. I'm just related to my crummy, boring family!" Georgie said, with just a hint of jelousy in her voice.

"Hey, did you find any other things relating to Queen in your attic?" Cassidy asked. "Like, apart from the records. Like, sheet music or something?"

"Whats sheet music?" Georgie asked.

"Its like a piece of paper, covered in little dots, that if you play them on an instrument, it makes a tune."

"Ooh! We found one of them near the pile of instruments!" Georgie told her. "We didn't know what it was!"

Robin took a piece of gum from the packet in her pocket and chewed on it thoughtfully. The taste of hundred year old gum was sweet on her tongue like nothing she already knew of. That was when something came to her.
"There's another abandoned Underground Station near to my house. I think it used to be a part of this line. We could follow the line in that direction and get out near my house. That way we don't risk too much when it comes to detection."

"NO!" she screeched, diving at it. "Oh god, it's not broken, is it?" she asked, picking it up gently as though it were a baby.

"Well, I guess we can go now, if we can make it in time. C'mon, if we go and dump this stuff then we can go and zip off and find all sorts of stuff, if it is possible."
Robin picked up the discarded drumsticks that she had been using earlier on and shoved them into the side pocket of her Guitar case.

Robin kicked a can about on the floor and cleaned her shoe on the back of her jeans. "Crikey. It's crazy to think that only yesterday we were starting to sing in class and now here we are; running off with the rebels."

"So much has happened so fast! I can't believe all that has happened! Singing, running from the law, getting caught by the law, being brainwashed, getting memories back, off to meet some Rebels... Well, at least we can say our lives are not boring!" she smiled.

She could hear cries of protest from down the tunnel, and wondered what Cassidy and Dot were saying to the rebels.

"I know they're not spies! You know that I dont trust people easily, and I trust them!" she argued. "They showed us where to find this thing," she held up the CD player, "and a ton of books!"

"But what if it was a trap?" the Rebel argued.

"Obviously it wasn't! I'm still here, Dot's still here!"

"Then where are these Rebels? How do you know they havent scarpered up to the surface to tell the police about us?"

"Because would spies play music?" Cassidy asked slowly.

They know the Rebels' Song! They sung all of it. One of them played it note perfect on the guitar and the other one sang it with all her heart. Robin, the one who played the Guitar, even made her own guitar and has many instruments that her family saved from being destroyed. I doubt highly that she is a spy. Neither of those two girls are spies. They couldn't be. They feel deeply about their music and it is all genuine."

Georgie folloewd Cassidy back round the corner, and what she saw astonished her. There were about twenty or more people, all dressed in brightly coloured clothes, clothes that looked nothing like the standard clothes that all the clones wore, and every one of them had either a book, and instrument or something else creative in their hands. They were all glowering at Cassidy and Dot.

"Guys, this is the new recruits. Georgie, Robin, The Rebels." she pronounced with a flourish.

Finally, somewhere where she could fit in with those that she stood out amongst for the good reasons. She shoved the drumsticks into the guitar bag's pocket once more and swung the guitar so it hung across her back on its strap so she could free up her arms.
"HI, I'm Erin, but I hate that name, so everyone calls me Robin, at least, Georgie, Dot and Cassidy do..." Robin's talkative sentence faded away as she saw the withering glares that the rest of the rebels were giving her. "Well... this is awkward..."

Georgie stared at each Rebel, taking in their clothes, the objects hey held in their hands, and the angry looks on their faces. Well, angry was a bit of an understatement...

"Oh, for crying out loud guys!" Cassidy yelled. "You were like this when she arrived as well!" she pointed to a girl in the corner, who blushed and buried her head in her book.

"Look, they aint spies! They showed us where to get a Seedy player and Seedys, and books! And Robin says she's got instruments in her house!" The angry looks reained.

"Oh for gods sake! They know the song! Sing it!" she told Georgie, who just stared. Cassidy motioned for her to start singing.

"Oh, uh... Here we stand, and here we fall, history won't care at all..." she began in a shaky voice. There were too many people staring at her, and she didn't like it.

"Wake the dead! Fight the fight! Lady Mercy won't be home tonight! You don't waste no time at all, don't hear the bell but you answer the call. It comes to you as to us all, waiting now for the Hammer to Fall!" Robin joined in, encouraging Georgie to join in. "C'mon, full out, we can do it, G!"

She rushed over to it, and started dumming out a beat, and she began to sing again, getting into the mood. She grinned at Robin.

"Oh every night, and every day, a little piece of you is falling away, but lift your face, the western way babe...

The rebels watched the two girls wide-eyed and flabbergasted. They couldn't believe their eyes. Dot looked smugly at Cassidy and the two low-fived triumphantly.
"So, what did we tell you?" Dot said, coming forwards towards the other Rebels. "These guys are the real deal. No jokes."

"Ok, can we dump this stuff, and like, scarper? We have instruments to pick up before dawn." Cassidy said, carefully placing the CD player on a chair. Georgie pretended not to notice the small stroke she gave it before walking away.

"So, where's your house?" Cassidy asked Robin. "And does anyone know the quickest way to get to the nearest underground station? If we run down the unused line, we might get there quicker. And obviously, not dtected by anyone."

"If I'm right, the next underground station is the one to the left on platform two if you're facing the advert for Wicked on the wall. Good luck," said a rebel in the crowd as the group left.
Robin emptied the guitar bag of all the books she had piled in it and returned Red Special II to the bag and slung the bag over her shoulders once more. "I ain't leaving this behind anywhere..." she said to herself as she ran after the rest of her companions.

Georgie ran after Dot and Cassidy, who had bolted ahead. She noticed what Cassidy was wearing on her feet, and wondered how the girl was even able to walk in them, let alone run...

"Keep up!" she called to Robin, who was adjusting her case strap.

"This way, guys!" Cassidy called from ahead, and Georgie had to put on a spurt to keep up.

"Jeez... after all this running, at least I can say I'm not unfit!" she wheezed, clutching her side as she caught up with the two Rebels.

"Up these steps! Not far!" Cassidy encouraged, hopping up them two at a time.

Robin jumped up them, quickly overtaking Cassidy when they came up to the darkened streets of the city. She looked around apprehensively at the dimly lit streetlights that were around after the curfew was in place.
Keeping to the shadows, she led the group towards the big, 21st Century house. "C'mon," she whispered hurriedly, moving her hands in a fast motion to bring the others closer into the shadows. "There;s a really nosey person who lives next door to us and I'm sure that she is one of the few people who knows that I left my house after curfew when we first escaped the brain-dead zombies. So we need to stick to the shadows when we go in..." Robin said as she looked hurriedly around the street, checking that no one was watching. She pulled the key out of her pocket and opened the door into her parents' home and let Georgie, Dot and Cass into the big house.

Georgie stared up at the house in awe. "Jeez, your house is HUGE!" she whispered, entering the front door quietly behind Dot and Cassidy. "Well, compared to my tiny, shed sized house, it is!"

They snuck silently up the stairs. Georgie froze when she reached a creaky step. Quickly jumped up the remainder of the steps, hoping there were no more creaky ones.

"Ok, so where is this attic?" Cassidy asked, peering up at the ceiling in the darkness

Robin laughed at how Georgie forgot that they were the only people in the house. She walked over to the top of a staircase where her bedroom used to be. She had a strong urge to go into her room and just forget everything and try to have life as it used to be, but she loved her new life too much. Choking back a few tears, she led Georgie over to the door on the other side of the hall where it was locked. She pulled the key off the hook and unlocked the door, opening a room that was full of all sorts of instruments ranging from harmonicas all the way up to a baby grand-piano.
Robin smiled when she saw the looks on their faces. "Welcome to heaven..."

Cassidy stared, open mouthed, in shock. "Wow." was all she could say. "Just... wow. I imagined a lot of instruments, but not this much!" she whispered in awe. "Just one question though." They all turned to look at her.

"How are we gonna get this stuff back down to the tunnels? There's too much. Maybe we shoulda asked some of the other Rebels to come help?"

"I never thought of that..." Georgie said, scratching her head. "Especially that. The... piany?" she asked. "Is that what it's called? No, its a pianah. No. Piano? Yes, a piano!"

Robin chewed on her lower lip as she eyed the baby grand-piano that was the center piece of the room. "Y'know, I doubt we can take the piano with us, 'cause my parents come in here some times and I see them rubbing their hands over the piano, stroking it gently, because they love it as much as I do. Although, we can take the electronic keyboards, 'cause those'll be easier to carry with us. We can easily take the smaller instruments and records and stuff. Oh," she said as she spotted a familiar shape in the corner of the room. "I think I should show you this," Robin said as she picked her way across the books, instruments and cases that were strewn across the floor. "This," she said, taking the guitar by its neck. "Is the original guitar that I copied when I made Red Special II. If what you guys say is true, then this is Red Special."

"Can I touch it?" she asked, walking closer to it, shining the torchlight in it, taking in every little detail. "I can't believe it... This is like, the guitar of all guitars!"

Georgie was on the other side of the room, looking through old music books. "Wow, all this stuff is so amazing! I'm surprised the Police force didn't come and raid the place!"

Robin smiled as she picked up a box of magazines. Inside them they had all sorts of magazines and posters relating to certain bands and rock groups.
Her watch bleeped on her wrist. It read 3.30am. "Ok guys, we're going to need to work fast to get instruments out of here before my parents come home..." Robin choked on the last few words as her eyes filled with tears. She wiped the tears away with the sleeve of her jumper and turned her back on the group as she felt the tears comin

Cassidy, Dot, Robin and Georgie spent the next few hours grabbing as much instruments as they could carry, and walking as quickly as they could back to the Rebel's hideout. They went back and forth about 4 times, grabbing as much as they could and leaving them with the other Rebels.

On their fifth time back up in the attic, the early morning sun was peeking in through the windows, and the small group of Rebels were being as quick as they can before Robins parents turned up. As they snatched the last of the instruments (bar the piano, it was too heavy), Cassidy noticed a bass guitar sitting in the shadows, hiding. Robin glanced at her watch nervously, and reminded everyone that her parents woul be home soon, and that they'd better hurry up.

"You guy's run ahead, I'll catch up in a minute" Cassidy said, heading over to the bass guitar.

"But we've gotta hurry!" Georgie panicked. "Robin's parents are coming!"

"I'll be just a minute! Run ahead, I'll catch up!"

Robin hesitated in the doorway of her home as she saw her parents' cars driving towards the house. Cassidy hadn't yet left the attic with the bass and Robin was getting more twitchy. She dashed up the stairs and cajoled Cass out of the house and along with Dot.
Robin turned to lock the door of the house before she ran, and she hesitated for a moment. Possibly a moment too long. She felt a hand on her shoulder and she relaxed into the warmth of the hand on her shoulder. That hand was a hand that she knew very well.
In the early light of the dawn, Robin turned slowly round, tears welling up in her eyes, to look at the benign face of her loving Father, his face creased up in a loving smile. She smiled weakly back at him and he enveloped her in a bear hug.
"Erin, I've missed you so much," he said through the massive hug. "Where did you go? We've got the whole police force looking for you!"
Some tears trickled from Robin's eyes as she melted in the warm hug from her Father. "Dad, I can't tell you where I've gone, but I can tell you this: I can't stay here any longer. If I stay here, you and Mum will be in danger." Robin broke the hug as tears started to overwhelm her. "I-I've got to go..." she said, running off, her voice cracking through the tears.

Suddenly, she broke out of her fathers grasp and ran towards the bushes, tears flowing freely down her face.

"Why didn't he take you?" Georgie asked as they bolted it back to the hideout. "I mean, he's a police officer, and you are on the run..." she trailed off, remembering that it was Robins father they were taling about, not just any policeman.

Don't worry, he won't follow us," Robin said, sniffing a bit and wiping the tears from her eyes, smudging her mascara and eyeliner more than it had already been.
"C'mon, let's get these last instruments to the rest of the rebels. But, please make sure that the original Red Special is ok. I'll take care of Red Special II and some of the other stuff..."

Georgie hugged Robin swiftly, then grabbed her wrist and dragged her after Cassidy and Dot. Georgie wanted to look behind her, but feared she would start crying too. She grabbed the remaining instruments, then jogged ahead to catch up with Cassidy and Dot, Robin dragging her feet sadly hehind her.

Georgie hated seeing people upset, and vowed to keep herself away from her old house, away from her crazy, strict, uptight parents. Seeing her parents again might not be enough to start the tears (unless they were tears of fear), but if she happened to stumble inside, she surely would find herself instnctively in her room, and no doubt she'd feel the need to take everything with her.

Robin followed behind Georgie, her eyes filling with tears which she blinked back as much as she could. Her mind was buzzing with memories of her happy childhood life which she had had, but she was forced to leave all that behind, as she knew, as well as any other rebel, if she was found, then she was a dead man.
Arms full of musical instruments, CDs, Records and other stuff, she didn't have time to hesitate. She forced herself to look forward, reluctant to leave, but she knew that she had to.
That was when something broke through her wall of thoughts. A siren could be heard in the distance and Robin felt her heart start beating frantically against the walls of her chest.
"Run guys! It's the Police! They must've bugged my parents' house, knowing that I would return at some point!"

Robin was running behind Georgie, sprinting as fast as she could with Red Special II's case on her back. She swore every alternate step. "Damned police!" She yelled out as the sirens came nearer and nearer. She checked over her shoulder and saw that Cass and Dot were still following them.
To their right, Robin could see a boarded up building. "Georgie, do you remember how we escaped the first time?" She saw Georgie nod. "Well then, we do the same thing! C'mon! Through the window!" Robin said as she veered off to their right, coming up to a shattered window. She leaped through the window, getting many cuts on her arms, legs and her face. She had the guitar case in her arms by the time she had leaped and as she landed, she tucked nad rolled, coming to a halt in a darkened corner.

She spotted Robin diving in through a window, and followed her lead, charging in through the window, glass shredding her skin as she fell. Picking herself up, she dusted herself off and headed towards the shadows, kneeling down next to whom she hoped was Robin.

Georgie shushed her, as they heard footsteps following them through the window. Georgie swore to herself.

She crept along the dark tunnel, secretly glad that one of the Rebels had come up with the genious idea of a hidden tunnel. Cassidy had never thought of a use for it, but now there was one.

Robin let out a silent sigh of relief. She really didn't like how every other time that they went out above ground, they managed to somehow get into trouble. She turned to Georgie and made sure she was ok too. Dot was behind them, walking backwards, staring out, surveying the area that they were leaving behind them, making sure they would be safe.
Soon they got to the end of the passage which led directly into the underground network of unused train tunnels.
Robin started spluttering, trying to not cough. The dust was making her asthma play up a bit, and she was beginning to panic. As soon as she was out of the passage, she took out her trusty inhaler and was soon able to breath again.
Dusty, and covered in cobwebs, she turned to Cass.
"What's going to happen now? I mean, I have no idea which tube we're in, and if we're going to return with the last instruments, CDs and Records, then we're going to need to get ourselves to the first platform here and find a tube map... or something."
Dot was silent, thinking up a plan. He looked around and then fished in his back pocket where he kept a torch.
"Ok guys, we've got some light, we'll be alright until the battery runs out."

"Well theirs plenty of maps round here, we just need to find out where exactly they are. I mean, we should know where this stuff is, we have been here for a few months." Cassidy grinned at Dot, also pulling a torch out of her bag. "And I think I win, I have a wind-up torch." she told Dot childishly, smiling and sticking out her tongue.

"So, we've got this far. Judging by the number of tunnels, I'd say we are at a junction. If there is such things as junctions on trains, I never was around when they were used. So... blind guess?" she mused, turning to face each tunel one by one, and shining the torch into the seemingly never-ending darkness.

Dot stuck out his tongue at Cassidy and pretended to sulk, but he couldn't keep that up for long; he was just as childish as she. He looked around, pondering which tunnel to take. He looked around the tunnels and saw that one was even blocked with an abandoned train.
"Hey, look at that, Cass... that could be just what we need...." he said, mischievously, earning a thwack on the head from Robin. "HEY!" he said, as he rubbed the back of his head. "What was that for?"
"That was because, even though that idea sounds good, and pretty fun, we can't, because we'd be risking capture by the police force." Robin said, trying to keep a straight face rather than laughing.
"Y'know, no-one likes a blue-stocking..."
"A what?" Robin said, puzzled by Dot's new phrase.
"I read it in a book called 'Scatterheart' that I salvaged from one of the abandoned book shops. I'm not sure what it means, but I think it means 'No-one likes a know-all'..."
Robin raised an eyebrow and shrugged. She turned to Cass. "Anyway, I think we should take the tube that's the third from the right. I dunno why, I've just got a hunch."

"Well, we can't get past the trains though..." Georgie groaned, leaning against a wall.

"Nonsense! Most trains have more than one exit, right? So if we get in through this one..." Cassidy pointed to a broken window on the train third from the right, "and surely there will be either another busted window or door at the other end! And we could get out that way, then continue down the tunnel till we come to a station then find a map to look at."

"I suppose that would work..." Georgie said, inspecting the window. "But how are we gonna get in without cutting ourselves to shreds??"

Dot laughed at Robin and she turned round to look at him, an eyebrow raised, concealing her mirth, still. Dot opened his mouth to make a witty comment, but Robin put her hand up, silencing him and said, "I know, I know. 'No-one likes a blue stocking'."
This time it was Dot's turn to smirk. "Actually, I was just going to say, c'mon, let's go, but I like the way you're thinking."

"Does she get out much?" Georgie whispered to Dot, a bit worried. The dust was so thick in places that it was difficult to even see Georgie's brightly coloured hair as she made her way through the dark train, with the occasional glimpse of torch-light from in front or behind her.
They came to the end of one carriage, dust and cobwebs covering the small group. Robin's hair looked like she had gone grey at the age of fourteen.
As they emerged on the small rail at the end of the carriage, Robin heard some odd noised. Footsteps.
"Guys!" she hissed, making the others stand stock-still. "They've found us!" she hissed through clenched teeth. The odd beam of light flew over their heads as the police seemingly were puzzled as to which way to go. "Cass, what should we do?"

"Luggage racks!" Cassidy whispered again, waving her torch about above the seats before switching it off and plunging everything in darkness. She jumped up onto one of the dusty seats and grabbed onto the luggage rack, hoisting herself up whilst trying to remain as quiet as possible.

"Robin, drop the guitar. There's plenty now that we've salvaged them from your house!" Dot hissed at her.
"No way, jose!" Robin hissed back. "Red SPecial II is my prize posession, it would be like me asking you to give up whatever you care for most!" she hissed angrily at him as she stowed Red Special II ahead of her on the rack after having managed to climb up. "Y'know, Georgie," she whispered to the face that she found next to hers. "I'm really getting sick of these stupid police..."
That was when Robin felt something. It was a tickle in her nose. She was going to sneeze. She plugged her nose with two fingers and she felt the sneeze go away. She took her fingers out of her nose and that was when the sneeze decided to come back, full force, uninvited and unexpected.

Georgie jumped out of her skin at Robin's sudden loud, EXTREMELY loud, sneeze. Apparently, so did Cassidy, as she tumbled out of the luggage rack, clutching her chest, swearing in shock. She crashed into the seats with a loud BANG!, and tumbled onto the floor.

By this time, about three police officers had entered the train and were waving their torches about the place, and one came to rest on Cassidys face. Panicking, she scrambled to her feet, and ran the length of the train, her clumpy boots echoing off the walls. As the police started to pursue her, she turned back and looked directly at where she hoped Dot was lying, and made two quick signs with her hand, praying that Dot could see in the darkness, before running off, the police following close behind.

The signs she had made was part of a code she and the rest of the Rebels had made up. This two particular signs meant 'play along', and 'go on without me'.

She only hoped that Dot understood that it meant 'Pretend I'm the only one'.

Dot had understood the code, but he wasn't going to leave his best friend behind. He swung his head around to death-glare at Robin, who looked away, guiltily. Dot stared her down a little longer and then looked around at the rest of the carriage in the train. There were three police-officers in there. He sighed, irritatedly as he concocted a plan.
He swung down from the rack, the sound of his foot-falls and movement muffled by the centuries-old dust that lined everything of the train. He made his way into the shadows, his dark skin making him almost impossible to be seen in the dark, half-light.
A police officer turned away from Dot's direction, and that was when Dot struck. He punched the officer on the jaw, knocking him unconscious. He melted back into the shadows as he waited for another target. One by one, he picked off the police officers in the carriage, all with a variation of the theme of knocking them out.

"Are Georgie and Robin still in there? Tell them to stay put, theres more police on the way, I was going to lead them away till you intervened!" She sounded pretty furious at Dot, but inside she really wan't. She hated yelling at Dot, but she aso hated having her plans spoiled.

He looked around. There were beams of light coming from the tunnel's entrance. Obviously the police were still hesitant whether or not to go in, after their comrades had not yet returned.
"Might as well hide, then? We'll just change our locations and stick to the shadows. Well... that is... if you think we should do that."
Dot wasn't the one who made the plans. He was just the one who carried them out and gave support to the others. Cass was the smart one in their dastardly duo.

As he picked himself up, stammering apologies and helping his comrades to their feet whilst the tallest officer (obviously the one in charge) started shouting at him for his stupidity and almost giving away their position.

"Well, if him falling over hadnt alerted us, the head officer shouting probably would" Cassidy whispered to Dot, giggling. Dot was looking at Cassidy, smiling slightly as she was talking to Robin. Robin looked at Dot and saw how he was looking at Cass, and Robin couldn't help but smirk.
Dot saw the look on Robin's face and glared at her once more. "Robin," he said, voice as cold as ice now. "Don't you have something you want to say to Cassidy?"

"If they do decide to stay for a while, we are, as Robin said, in deep muffins. If it means what i think it means." she bit back a laugh.

THe laughter died within her and she composed herself, finally realising the gravity of the situation. It they were found, they would be taken back to the Six Puddles of Rice.

Cassidy started praying that the police thought that the rattling was them wandering about the train. Apparently, her prayers were answered, as the leader of the police swore under his breath, and told the rest of the officers to stop searching, as obviously nobody was in here.

Cassidy hadn't even noticed she had been holding her breath, but it all rushed out as she heard the last footstep fade into the darkess. "Close call, much?" she grinned, jumping down off the rack onto the ancient chairs below.

She started doing a small celebration dance, hugging Dot as he jumped down. "We're still alive! And have instruments!" she half cheered, still keeping her voice down incase someone heard.

"Now we have to get back to the base without being seen, but we're alive for now!"

Dot grinned broadly when Cassidy hugged him and he hugged her back. He even hugged Georgie and Robin. Robin was surprised by the sudden change of behaviour, but quickly shrugged off her surprise. She grabbed her guitar case from the rack and slung the guitar onto her back.
"This is great! We've given the police the slip and, what's more, we have the last of the instruments with us and lots of the seedys!!!" she said as she smiled broadly.
"C'mon, if we want to still have the instruments and seedys, then we better get out of here quickly." Dot said, looking around quickly to make completely sure that no one would see them.
Robin smiled as the thought came back to her mind. "Guys, I still think that we should try to commandeer one of the trains and drive it to the station!"

"I don't think that would work. It would make too much noise, plus, who knows how to work all those stupid levers and stuff to actually drive the train?" Cassidy asked, grabbing some nearby instruments and picking them up gently, as though they were made of glass.

"Oh, good point." Georgie said. Noise. We just had a narrow escape, I'm a bit wary of making more noise. Also, I don't know how to drive a train." she grinned.

"So, we find another map, find the green line that leads back to the base station, then follow the tracks?" Cassidy asked. "I think that might be the easiest option, plus the darkness of the tunnels would help conceal us."

Robin nodded, smiling at the prospect of returning to the rebels, looking forward to be surrounded by more of the people who weren't the clones without brains above the ground. She looked around the carriage, wondering if there was anything they could salvage. She saw a pen-knife that had been abandoned, possibly having fallen out of a pocket of a passenger, or even from the police officer when he fell. She picked it up and opened up the blade. No rust. It was sharp and could be used.
Pocketing the pen-knife, she then turned to the others once more. "Right, let's go!"

((And we're rushing headlong...))

((We gotta new goal, and we're rushing headlong, outta control... XD))

Cassidy led the small group through a tunnel, shining her wind up torch ahead of them, surprised that she had managed to keep it through the short period of chaos before. As they came to the next station, she let out a cry of delight as she cought sign of a faded amd worn map on the wall covered in brightly coloured lines.

"Perfect!" she grinned, running over to it and tracing the lime green coloured line that seemed to twist and turn at odd angles. "So... left about twenty minutes, then turn right. Will you remember that, 'cause I'm sure I wont!" she grinned again, hopping back onto the tracks.

"So, does that mean that we need to go left until we see another tunnel and then we go for the tunnel that will be on the right?" Robin asked, puzzled. "I think I can remember that, but I'm not so sure that I'll be able to... anyone else?"

"I'll remember it," Dot said, stepping out of the shadow that he had been lurking in as he contemplated the meaning of life, the universe and everything. "I reckon we should go now, anyway. If the policemen have any brains, which I doubt, they'll have figured we've left and will be splitting up to search."

"Right, lets scarper." Georgie said, heading down the tunnel. Cassidy switched on her torch again, and practically skipped down the tunnel.

"Finally, we can get back to the base! I need a seat, or a sleep. My feet are killing me, and we've been gone almost 24 hours. Do you think the others have sent out a search party? 'Cause they might get caught. Mind you, we've been gone longer than this before, maybe they havent..." Cassidy rambled to herself, still skipping down the tracks. Georgie shook her head.

"Mad..." she muttered.

Robin laughed loudly at Georgie's comment. "We're finally going to get to the place where we're going to be accepted! Aren't you excited?" she said to her best friend, hugging her as they walked down the tracks together.
Dot was running on the edge of the rail, attempting to balance, arms flailing wildly as he tried to keep his balance as he tried to keep up with Cass.
"Cass, wait up! I've got shorter legs than you!" he yelled after her.
Robin snorted to herself in quiet laughter. "What's the bet that Cass's reply's gonna be, 'but your mouth make up for it'?"

"Haha! How would he reply to that? no doubt he'd have a witty remark." Georgie giggled again.

"Yeah, but your mouth makes up for it, Dorothy dear!" Cassidy continued to skip, speeding up and laughing as Dot chased her down the tunnel.

"They act like such small children..." Georgie told Robin, watching Dot and Cassidy chase each other around, still shouting insults at each ther and giggling madly. "Maybe it's just the imagination in us running free. I mean, all the zone clones and stuff all act so... grown up and responsible, but every rebel I've met seems to have embraced their inner child."

"I think it's because those people who have become rebels are acting their own age, and want to be themselves, rather than what everyone else wants them to be. It's like having the freedom to be exactly who and what you want to be. It's because we are free." Robin said, smiling as she watched the two rebels up ahead, running around, acting like kids.

Dot had caught up to Cass and now had her in a head-lock, giving her a noogie and messing up her hair. "That's for stealing my red trainers!" he said, jokily as he held her under his armpit.

"By the way, I still have those trainers" she laughed, and scrambled to her feet as Dot started chasing her again.

"Makes sense, i suppose." Georgie grinned. "I mean, we dont exactly act responsibly like adults, thats probably why we got caught. But hey, they cant blame us for acting our age!"

Dot was chasing Cass merrily. He tackled her and they fell to the ground, rolling over and over each other, laughing as they rolled along. "I want my trainers back. I mean, how can I get back home to Aunty Em and Uncle Henry if I can't click my heels together and say, 'there's no place like home, there's no place like home, there's no place like home'?"

Dot got off of her, and she managed to blurt out "I'll get you when we get back, my pretty, and your little mini stuffed dog too!", remembering that Dot had a small stuffed dog somewhere in the Base.

Georgie squeaked as Robin pinged her bra strap, before pinging Robins back. "hah, way!" she giggled. "Just acting my age! Although I prefer to act my shoe size..." she grinned, poking Robin in the side.

She laughed as she hadn't ever done before as they mucked about, chasing each other, teasing and tickling each other.

"NOOOOOOO!!!! Not TOTO! Anything but him!" Dot said, jokily as he pretended to cower in fear. "If you so much as touch him, I swear I'll throw water at you and cause your make-up to melt, you... you... Wicked Witch of the West-End!"

"So it seems we are at a dead end. If I touch that dog, you'll melt my imagination! But If I... wait... what? I've confused myself..." Cassidy cracked up laughing again.

"C'mon, Dot, stop fooling around," Robin said with mock severity. "We need to act appropriately and get out of here. There's no time to act like children. You should be ashamed of yourself, young-man-who-is-older-than-me!"

"Heh, we should probably get back to the base. We can continue the banter there, plus there will be heaps of people more than willing to join in." Cassidy smiled again, after successfully managing to gain control of her breathing.

"Heck, i wouldn't be surprised if we had a mini party tonight to celebrate! Ya up for it, Dot?" she shoved him playfully, grinning like a loony. "You can bring Toto if ya must!"

Robin turned to Georgie and shrugged. She then mimicked Dot and lifted Georgie onto her shoulder and walked as Dot was walking.
When Dot gave her a weird look, she said, "What? You said walk this way!"

It took Georgie a moment to get why Robin was mimicking the very way Dot was walking, but when she finally understood she started flailing about like Cassidy. This caused Cassidy to fly into another fit of laughter, and Dot nearly dropped her.

When they eventually reached the base, Cassidy kicked the door open and they all ran in, shouting their victory and causing a few Rebels to cry out in shock. Cass squirmed out of Dots grip and ran over to the Seedy player, making sure nobody had touched it while she was gone.

Cassidy jumped up onto a chair, stomping and clapping in time with the tune, singing along to some words that she came up with on the spot. A few other rebels got up and started playing the instruments they had found before, hitting out beats on the drums, strumming guitars, blowing saxomaphones and harmoni-thingies. Georgie joined in Cassidys made-up-on-the-spot song, as did many others.

((Hope ye don't mind me just hopping in here... :D))

Name: Jenna Harveys
Chosen name: Squeak
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Looks: Small, never seen without her trusty platform trainers. When she joined the rebels, she dyed some streaks of blue into her black hair. Blue eyes.
Personality: Quiet, shy, doesn't like to draw attention to herself. However, she does like a good dose of rebellion once in a while, breaking out of her shell and being generally loud.
How they 'rebel': Writing stories and songs, telling lies.
Other: A quiet kind of girl, Squeak tended to stick to the kind of rebellion that wouldn't draw attention to herself. However, once the police found drawers full of sories, songs, and notes, she was forced to run. She bumped into the Rebels by chance, and moved in with them, slightly altering her appearance, and changing her name.

-----

Squeak lounged on one of the squishy beanbags, carefully turning the pages of the ancient book in her hands. It was one of the last ones, one she had salvaged from the dark corners of her cupboard in her old house before she fled, bringing her notes with her.

Apparently, nobody had bothered to thoroughly check the cupboards or basements when imagination had been banned, for when she searched hard enough, she found no less than three books, hidden in small nooks and crannies.

She glanced up at the old clock on the wall. The paint was peeling off of it, and the glass was chipped, but it still told the time. Almost 24 hours since Dot and Cass had gone off with that newcomers to find some instruments.

She didn't worry too much, Dot and Cass had been on scouting missions that had lasted weeks, coming back in one piece. She looked up from her book to see a group of the younger Rebels had started a game of tag around the table that served as a dining area, nearly knocking down several people as they ran wildly round in circles, giggling madly.

The sound of hyper-active cackling came from outside the door, a tell tale sign that Cassidy was near. Sure enough, the door was kicked open and Dot waltzed in, Cassidy draped over his shoulders, and the two new recruits were positioned the same way, the purple haired one flailing madly. Squeak could only giggle at the mad sight.

Robin carried on shredding some wicked tunes out on the guitar, singing Cass's song with all the other Rebels, singing loudly and with gusto, in a way she had never had the chance to before.
This was the best that Robin had felt in a long time. The heartbreak of leaving her beloved parents, the terror she had felt when running from the police, the terrible void of emptiness that her mind had been after being taken to the six puddles of rice; all of that had gone. She felt like she had when she had rebelled in secret as she used to. Another rebel walked in, saying hello to the rebels.
Dot smiled and went up to the girl and hugged her. "Hey, Squeak!" Dot said as he hugged her tightly. "How have the rebels been since we left? Oh," he said, remembering that Squeak hadn't met Robin and Georgie. "Squeak, these two new people are Georgie and Robin, two of our newest recruits."

"Hey," Robin said, smiling, waving with one hand whilst holding the neck of Red Special II with the other. She looked at the girl with the blue and black hair. Another rebel. This was good. "I'm Robin, it's nice to meet you," she said as she held out her hand, waiting to shake the rebel's hand.

Squeak hugged Dot back, looking over at the two new rebels standing next to him. "The rebels 'ave been fine. Couple o' the younger ones stated a game of tag, nearly knockin' some people over, but other than that, we're all fine." she grinned. Dot introduced the two girls, Robin (the one wih the guitar), and Georgie (the purple haired one).

"Ah, the two girls who ya went instrument huntin' with? Nice ta meetcha both too." she smiled again. The guitar girl, Robin, held out her hand, but instead of shaking it like a normal parson, gave her a funny sort of hi-five, that wasn't really a hi-five, since her hand wasn't up, but you get the picture.

Robin laughed, confused, not really understanding the hi-five thing that had just happened. She smiled, "It's nice to meet you... erm... what's your name?" she said, raking her memory, trying to remember if the girld had introduced herself.

"Oh, Robin, did I forget to tell you?" Dot said, feigning forgetfulness. He was still in a bit of a mood with Robin after her having nearly exposed all the rebels by one sneeze. "This is Squeak." he said out loud. He then leaned in to Robin and whispered out of the corner of his mouth, "I still don't know why, to be honest..."

"Right." Robin said, nodding. "Anyway, it's nice to meet you, Squeak," Robin said, smiling. She saw a book in Squeak's hands. "Wow, you've got a book? When Georgie and I first turned up in the underground station, we hid in a WHSmith and found hundreds of books that hadn't been sold when the shop was suddenly closed. We even found music and chewing-gum that actually tastes nice!" Robin opened up the side pocket of her guitar case and took out some books. "See?" she picked one book from the ones she had saved. "Here, you'll probably want something new to read," Robin said, handing over the book to Squeak.

"You foun' books? No wonder ye were away for so long!" she joked, and was shocked as Robin handed her one. "Woah, another book? For me? Ye shouldn't have!" she smiled, hugging Robin and taking the book.

"No problem. I figured that being down here, you would have no idea if there were any books left in the world up there," she said, pointing to the ceiling. "One sec, lemme just put Red Special II away," she said as she removed the guitar strap from around her neck and replaced the guitar in its case.

"She's kinda protective over her guitar," Dot whispered to Squeak. "She made it with her own hands and it's based on the guitar of Brian May, who turns out to be her great great great great great great Grandfather or something like that, and all the instruments we've brought back today came out of her attic, where they've been stored for years."

Robin heard all the comments and stood up, thwacking DOt lightly. "I heard that too... Anyway," she said, turning to Squeak. "What's your reason for rebellion?"

Cassidy hopped off of the stool she had been dancing on, wandering over to the small group of Rebels that was Robin, Dot and Squeak. Squeak was their newest rebel (not including Robin and Georgie), but she seemed to have adjusted well to the Rebellious lifestyle.

Georgie, being nosey, also joined the little group. She listened intently to the girls story, leaning on Robins shoulder, no doubt annoying her.

"Hey, that's kinda like me..." she mused, when the girl was finished, "But I think the final straw for we was singing in class. I can't blieve that was only a few days ago, Robin..."

Wow... we don't really have eventful lives, do we?" Robin said, jokily. "I mean, we've had a boring past few days, without any showers or anything. Come to think of it, I stink to high heaven. She skipped down the corridor, humming to herself, in a happier mood now that they were safe back home, and they had instruments. That was a reason to celebrate, surely.

"Ok, pink door equals girlies bathroom, blue door equals boys bathroom. Dont go in there, it reeks!" she laughed, pointing towards the blue door.

"Pink door for you two. Ok, so, towels and stuff are here," she pointed towards a large cupboard with the door hanging off its hinges, "oh, surely you dont wanna hang about in those clothes again? D'ya wanna choose some different clothes to get changed inta when ya come out?" she asked.

"Urm... if you don't mind, i would like to..." Georgie said, eventually catching up with Cassidy, who had sped ahead with her hyperactive skipping. "I mean, we've been through tunnels, old buildngs, other minging stuff... and aint changed in a few days."

"And, I would definitely like to go and find some new clothes. Even though these things are different from what the clones up there wear, they're still a symbol of the chains that we have since thrown off."
Robin grinned, laughing at Dot's confused face at what she had said. "In other words, it's a symbol of the conformity of the above world."
Dot's mouth formed an 'O' as he realised what Robin had said. "Makes sense, now you've explained it to me," he said, smiling slightly.
Robin smiled and then turned to Georgie. "C'mon, we need to find some cool new threads!"
Dot facepalmed. "Never, say 'threads' again."

Cass slid a door open, and pointed inside with a flourish and another giggle. Georgie gasped. She had had to search for ages, even resorting to cutting up her old Clone Clothes, to show some individuality through her clothes, and here was a room bursting with clothes just like that.

"Where did you guys get all this great stuff? It looks amazing!" Georgie asked in wonder, her mouth hanging open.

"We find it. We're scavengers!" Cass smiled, shoving Georgie and Robin into the room. "Have fun, just head over to the bathrooms when your ready, then come out and show us your new 'threads'!" she smirked at Dot, sticking her tongue out after saying 'threads'. Robin's eyes opened wide and her jaw dropped when she saw the amount of amazing rebel clothing. She grinned slowly and turned to Cassidy. "Cass... I think I love you," she said, suddenly hugging her. "We get to actually KEEP what we want! YAY!!!" At this point, Robin's fatigue that she had amassed over the last few days suddenly vanished and she was jumping around and bouncing off the walls; she was so happy.
"WOOOOOOPEEEEEE!!!!" Robin yelled as she ran into the walk in wardrobe, dashing around, trying to find stuff to wear.

First she looked for trousers. She found some red plaid patterned trousers that were baggy and covered in zippered pockets with chains from the waistband. She quickly put those on behind a screen and put a black, studded belt on to keep them up. She quickly went around, then looking for a top. She settled on a white t-shirt and a black, baggy t-shirt over the top, which had holes cut in, and hung off her shoulders. It suited Robin right down to the ground. She grabbed some hair-dye and gel and disappeared, reappearing later with her hair black and purple, gelled up in spikes. Her face now wore dramatic, fluorescent make-up, and she looked quite different to the girl she had been when she had escaped from the clones of the world above.

"Well?" she said to the others. "How do I look?"

She fingered her own messy, purple hair, debating whether to change it or not. She dived in and out of the racks, running her fingers along the fabrics, smiling. She grabbed a pair of green tartan shorts, some red leggings, a weird pain-splattered white top with a badly ripped black waistcoat, and ran towards the shower room.

When she came back out, she bolted over to the hair-dye shelf, rummaging through all the bottles. "Hmm... what colour do you think, Robin?"

Georgie grinned, grabbing the bottle and sprinting towards the bathroom. Once she was in, she took a long look in the cracked mirror at her purple hair, fingering the ends. They were getting horrible, she she raked about in the cabinets till she found a small pair of scissors, and started carefully cutting the ends.

She looked up at her reflection again, staring at the little green bottle in her hands, reluctant to change her hair. After a few more munites of thought, she ran back through to the room where Robin was patiently waiting, and snatched a bottle of highlighter pink hair dye.

She bolted back into the bathroom and tipped the green bottle ino her hair, washing it out in the sink. She saw the now-green water running into the sink, and she closed her eyes tightly before lifting her head up. Slowly opening her eyes, she almost shrieked at the luminous green hair plastered to her head.

Grinning from ear to ear like a loon, she grabbed the pink bottle and gave herself some streaks, before grabbing the hairdryer to see the finished result.

"Pink goes good with green, after all... now where have I heard that before?" shemuttered to her reflection, before exiting the bathroom to show Robin.

Robin looked around the place, thinking about what else they could do. "Hey... Georgie, have you got pierced ears? I'm sure we can find some awesome metalwork for our ears and chain-link jewellery and all that," she said, fingering the plain studs in her ears.

"Someone call for Cassid... oh. my. GOD. You guys look AMAZING!" Cass cried, running across the room and hugging the girls whilst squeaking excitedly. "I love the new looks! Dot! C'mere!" she grinned. "Did you know we had this stuff? They look amazing!"

Dot walked in, half covering his eyes, in the case that it was going to be an unpleasant surprise, kind of like when Cass had last called him in to see people in their new clothing, when they'd only been half-dressed. He came up behind Cass, a hand covering his eyes as he walked. He walked into Cass' back and stumbled over, nearly falling to the ground.
"What's up?" he said as he regained his footing and then opened his eyes. "WOOWZA! You two look... wow! That stuff really suits you. Georgie, I'm loving the pink and green theme, and Robin, those red plaid jeans really suit you! The chains really tie the outfit together."

"When did you become the fashionista?" Robin said, punching him lightly. That was when she saw some leather bands and bracelets. She immediately put those on. "I. Love. This. Place."

"So, you want to find some jewellery? Well, you'll find the chains, ear-rings and stuff in the boxes over there. I'd say you'd probably be able to find spiked collars and stuff over there, I'm guessing you're going with a rather... spiky punk theme, eh, Robin?"

"Of course. Oh, I'm just wondering, Cass, is there anyway to pierce ears and stuff?"

"I see you have your ears pierced already, but if you want another piercing, it's gonna have to be the old sterilised needle and ice-cube!" Cassidy grinned. "Sure ya still want the piercings?" she smirked at Robin, running her fingers along the drawers full of earrings and studs.

Meanwhile, Georgie was scouring the drawers and boxes for jewelerry and accessories. She found a large black paper flower, and pinned it in to her hair. "What do ya think?" she asked Dot, striking a melodramatic pose and dissolving into giggles.

Robin flinched slightly at the thought of using a sterilised needle and an ice cube to pierce her ears. She ran her hand along the side of her ear, and decided that she might as well have one in the top. But she wasn't too happy about the use of a needle and an ice cube. The idea kind of freaked her out. She'd never been one for pain, so if she could avoid it, she would.
"Ehh.... might as well..." she said, nervously. "At least it's not a tattoo, eh?" she said in an attempt to alleviate the tension that she was now feeling.

Dot laughed at Georgie's dramatic flower and pose. "Well... you know, daahling, I could have taken some fantabulous pictures of you to put in the latest edition of vogue, but I see that you're not serious about the modelling arts, what with all this... this... LAUGHTER!" he said jokily, putting on a falsely snooty voice.

Georgie dissolved into giggles at Dot's fake-snooty voice. "Aww man, I thought I was being serious..." she pouted, picking up another hair accessory, a long orange ribbon, and held it up against her hair. "Nah... it kinda clashes with the pink and Green..." she smirked, placing it back in its box.

"So, ya still up for the piercing?" Cassidy asked Robin. "It only hurts for a minute..." she grinned, fingering the earring in her own ear. "Plus theres heaps of different earrings, you take your pick."

Robin worried her lower lip with her teeth, chewing it as she thought over the possibilities of having multiple ear-piercings. She'd never forget the day when she'd had her normal ones done, and her mother certainly wouldn't forget it. She was pretty sure that her right hand would never be quite the same after Robin's iron grip had crushed it in anticipation.
"Erm... welllll..... I.... I-I...... Ok." Robin said after a long time of contemplation. "Go for it." she said, albeit hesitantly. "You'll just need to have something shoved in your ears..."

Dot laughed at Georgie's comment about the hair colour clashes. "Yes, but we're rebels here. Clashing is good... very good," he said, beaming. He loved it when people were different like that.

"Good point..." Georgie muttered, before tying the ribbon into one of her bunches. Rummaging around in the box some more, she found a purple ribbon, and tied that into her hair, too. Cassidy looked over, and saw that Georgies hair just looked like a more colourful style of her own.

"Nice look." she grinned, before turning back to Robin. "Right. two piercings, top of your ears. Got it." she grinned again, giggling at the look of fear on Robin's face. "Aww, c'mon... if we leave the ice-cube on long enough, either your ear will go numb and you won't feel a thing, or it will melt and your ear shall get wet."

Robin paled at the thought of having two piercings, but she knew that she could do it, she just had to be strong. "Ok. We'll go with a long time with ice cube, if possible," she said, smiling lightly. She then laughed at Cass' comment of if not, her ear would get very wet. "Let's just do this thing..." she said, clenching her jaws and swallowing. She'd never, ever been good for pain, and she always felt that her ears had been extra sensitive.

Dot was laughing at Georgie's ever more colourful hair. He loved all the clashing colours. "Why, Georgie, you look like a regular Picasso artwork!" he said, jokily.

"Really? And a few moments ago you said I'd never become a model..." she shook her head, and struck a silly pose, cracking up laughing.

Cassidy smiled reassuringly at Robin. "Don't worry about it, hen. It wont hurt so much. Now if you stay here and choose some ear-rings you want, I'll go to the kitchen and grab some ice-cubes out of the freezer..." and with that, she sprinted from the room, crashing into a few other rebels as she went. Georgie could hear their complaints and protests, and smiled. Typical Cass.

Dot laughed. "What I was saying, dear Georgie, is that your face looks misshapen," he said, laughing, thinking about the weirdness of Picasso pieces. "But, you know, your hair is still very pretty, my dear."

Robin sat down shakily, breathing in deeply as she looked through the earrings, deciding what she would have. She saw a spiky stud and decided that that would be one of them. She continued to search until she found a hoop that she thought would look quite cool in the tip of her ear. She was beginning to calm down now and felt that she would be quite ok with having her ears pierced by Cass with a needle.
Oh great... she thought to herself. I just had to think that, didn't I?

Georgie let out a melodramatic gasp of shock, then ran over to Robin, pretending to cry.

"Dot's hurting my feelings and insulting my face!" she fake sobbed into Robins shoulder, giggling after every few 'sobs'.

"So, ya chosen what things to put in your ears? I would get my ears done, but... I'm too much of a wuss." she grinned, poking about a bit in the box, looking at studs and hoops.

Cassidy walked back in with a needle, a lighter, and a tray of rapidly melting icecubes, tottering over to the table and dumping the objects on the top.
