I know this looks like something ultra geeky, but bear with me here. It's kinda based off of Spy Kids 3.
At midnight on the 9th September 2009, a massive online gaming network
went on the web and it is played by all kids who have internet.
The game is highly addictive and the CB HQ (Child-spy Brigade) find
out what is happening with the game. Someone has developed a mind-controlling formula which, when played by adolescents between the ages of 13 and 19, their minds no longer belong to them and they are forced into being agents to the crime overlord who created the game.
A group of spies from CB are alerted by the boss of the organisation, only known as "The N" and they are sent into the game to shut it down so that the world's youth are released. But, in a bizarre twist of events, the crime overlord shuts them into the game, not allowing them out until they get through all 312 levels to the end.

Here's the profile:

Gallitea Moon, Agent M or Moon to her peers, level three spy of The CB and the best hacker they have, walked along the long corridors to the office of their boss, known only as "The N" to most spies. Very few people new The N's real name. She knocked on the door and had to verify who she was with a handscan, face and eye identification and voice identification.
"Proceed," said a female voice from inside. Moon walked into the office and saw "The N".
"Hello Nevermore," she said as she saw her fellow spy.
"Agent M, I have an important mission for you to complete. At Midnight tonight, a massive game goes online. It is created by one of the world's experts of mind-control. You will need to amass a force of your best spies to go into the game with you to shut it down. It will be tough and you will have to survive, for, if you don't, every child's mind will belong to the Toymaker."
Moon already knew which she would get together. "These are the spies I want..." she said as she told Nevermore.
The N turned on the intercom and called up, "Could agents Scaramouche, Dash and the Levin twins please come to The N's office."

Rita heard her spy name over the intercom and was startled. The only time she had ever been invited to The N's office was when she kicked the heck out of a couple of kids and than ran away. Sprinting to the office, Rita did the normal proceedure to enter it and than skidded in loudly. Rita bowed at the waist.
"N" she said quietly. "Hey Moon!!" Rita said enthusiastically giving her a big hug.
"Whats up? Why are we here?" she asked in a more polite and curious tone.

"Hey there, Dash," she said, hugging Rita back. Moon let go when The N cleared her throat trying to get their attention. Moon laughed slightly and sat down on one of the chairs.
"Now, Dash," The N started. "I expect you're wondering why you're here. Moon, please brief her with the information whilst I play mini-pool."
Moon sighed and laughed under her breath. She explained to Rita everything about the mission. "You see, I had to choose my best spies to go on this misison with me, and you're with us. Do you think you can do it?"

Shadow chuckled to himself as he walked into the CB's building. He was from somewhere else...not that far, but he was asked to come to CB's headquarters since he himself has been assigned the Toymaker case as well. He was known as Agent Shadow (S.) the best weapons spy out there. He brushed his hands through his hair as he heard the names being called. Shadow looked down at his watch and nodded, this was the exact time on his schedule that he was told to walk into Nevermore's office and meet the rest of the crew he was being assigned with, not to mention, Moon, his parter.

"Aw shucks!" Rita said winking at Moon. "Well of course i can do it, silly! Lets go and kick some Toymaker butt!" Rita has a big grin on her face as she pulled her raven black hair into a sloppy bun. "When do we start?" She was practically jittery with excitement, and she was bouncing up and down. Rita never got to do missions like this before, but now she was doing soemthing important and could change the course of history forever. It made Rita so excited she could burst. Letting out a peal of laughter, Rita started to jump up and down randomly, but she was quickly seated in a chair by Moon.

Moon saw Shadow walk down the corridor to the office through the one-way glass walls. She smiled to herself as she remembered what Nevermore had told her. They would be team leaders in the case. She liked Shadow a lot, but in a brotherly way. They had known eachother ever since she had started at CB when she was ten.
She chuckled to herself when Rita started jumping up and down hyperactively. "Yeah, we really think you can do it. We're going to need your skills. Now, please calm down!"
She turned back to face Nevermore who had just let Shadow into the room.
"Welcome, Agent S. I'm glad to see you accepted your mission."

Shadow chuckled as he nodded "How can I deny a mission with an old friend?" he smiled winking at Moon. They were friends since he was 11. How could he forget her? Never. He turned back to Nevermore and nodded "I have accepted this mission also, on behalf of the Orange Stripe Stingers (OSS ;)) Head Quarters. And by accepting this, I accept the offer of being team leader with Agent Moon as well." he said raising a hand then nodding his head in approval.
Shadow looked around the room then leaned against one of the walls. "Wow, this place updated." he chuckled teasing.

Rita has been silent for 3 whole minutes and she couldnt stay quiet any longer.
"You're from the OSS? No way!!! That is so freaking awesome!" Rita rushed to him at an incredible speed and shook his hand vigurasly. "My name is Ri- i mean Dash." She gave him a broad smile and giggled.
"Are you going to be part of the mission too?" When he nodded she gave a happy shout of joy, "Yay! That is really really really cool!" Rita sat back down in her chair and faced The N.
"Do you think it would be possible for me to get an energy drink or something? I am really slow today!"

09-13-2009, 08:48 AM
Shadow recoiled away from the hyper girl and touched his hand as if he was completely terrified for his life. He had never encountered such a being. He chuckled and nodded "yes, I am Agent Shadow from the OSS." he looked at The N and raised an eyebrow in complete shock. "An energy may do her some good...she might go around in so many circles until she finally collapses." he chuckled. He was the kind to tease others and joke around. "Yet, then again, we'd have to endure her, and we don't know how much she's had in the past few minutes..so for our own safety maybe a coffee would help her?" he suggested.

"As i always say: A Monster a day doesnt keep my energy away!" Rita said in a sing-song voice. Her black hair was flying all directions as she skipped around the room, until the director came, picked her up, and sat her in the big chair.
"Wha- Whats going on N?" Rita asked clearly confused.
"I want you to calm down Dash. Now, take a sip of this water and take deep calming breaths." After a few minutes Rita was quietly sitting on the chair next to Moon and staring at her feet.
"Im bored!" she announced to the silence.

Shadow had never seen such an agent...no not even a person...ever like Agent Dash, yet Moon must have had some reason of bringing her onto this serious mission. She must have some good quality. She was a pretty girl, not that that had anything to do with anything, but what was with her that she was chosen for this mission. Thats what he wondered, but he ignored that, since it wasn't right to question authority. He stood there, what were they waiting for, if Dash was bored, he was ready to put her up to getting him lunch, but The N would probably have something planned for them sooner or later...yet he was hoping sooner...than later.

April dashed up the stairs after hearing her spy name over the intercom. 'The N's office was on the top floor at the other end of the building, and it always took April ages to get there.

Once she finally reached it, she wished the identification process would be a little more speedy, and dashed into the room when the door finally opened.

"Sorry I'm late, I was at the opposite end of the building" she panted, trying to get as much air into her lungs as possible. "So... You called?"

Name:Brennan Snowquill
Spy name:Snowquill, Nightwing or Flameback
Age: ((less than 18 please))14
Looks:Pale white-blonde hair streaked with brown. She has dark tanned skin and deep chocolate eyes that look fierce which is a weird combination. She is tall and lanky.
Personality:She has a way with fire and bird knowing how to calm each of them since she changes moods easily
Favourite Spy weapon:A quill disguised as a knife and her lockpicking set
Typical spy outfit:Jeans and a brown jacket over a pale blue t-shirt. The inside of the jacket has plenty pockets usedto hide messages delivered.
Other:She uses the birdhouse so that the online messages cannot be hacked into and read.

Brennan was sitting at a coffee house which had a passage leading to the headquarters. She approached the waiter who was one of CB's skilled cartographer and asked the directions to the restroom. She was given a new job and a new place to get because she had nearly been caught the other time.
The waiter pointed her to a corner. Brennan got up and slinked back in. She then using her best lockpicking skills broke the lock of a 'broom cupboard'. A tweet heard from ehr jacket. "It's okay August," she said calmly then a woman came out of the bathroom.
"BIRD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" She shreiked.
"Gotta go," Brennan kicked the door opened and shut it fastening a lock. She then suddenly fell through a small hole and among other twist and turns in two minutes and forty five seconds landed in headquarters.

Moon smiled at Dash's hyper-activity. The N was even funnier with her reaction. She turned to Shadow and said out of the side of her mouth in a hushed tone, "Oops, I wonder who put some Monsterin her coffee this morning?" she said, producing an empty can of Monster from her pocket. Moon collapsed into giggles.
"I suppose you're wondering why I've selected Dash for the team? Well, I happen to know that in the game there is a level which speed and amazing reflexes are needed. Who do you think I thought would suit that level?"

"hello people!" Brennan let loose a happy squawk and opened her jacket letting August; a small sparrow fly out. She walked over to N and hung her head, "I got caught again." She sighed and pulled out the History of Spywork and thumbed through it until she found and old map. Using a black felt tip pen she crossed out Newlon Coffee Shop. She smiled sat down in a chair and opened up a small file.
"So N you want us to uncover what this is, using ONLINE messaging?" Brennan said uncomfortably, "Well I guess I can help. I'm your best lockpicker." And with that she let through a dragon of fire.

Alexandra, who was wearing her typical spy outfit, but with a red tank top instead of the usual grey one, heard her name called over the intercom, along with her sister's. She and her sister shared an office area, though it was extra big so they could split it. She and her sister were very close, even though they fought constantly and were complete opposites. "Ready, sis?" she asked. She had never really been to The N's office, but she knew The N's real name. See, she was the best surveillance and technology agent in the CB, and liked to bug people and figure out cheat codes on the computer in all her spare time. She had a lot of spare time. She had been in the CB since she was 8, but didn't go on big missions, so wasn't as well-known as other agents.

She went through the procedure to get into Nevermore's office, waited for her sister, and walked into together, to find out they were the last ones to arrive. "Sorry, Nevermore!" she apologized enthusiastically. She had heard this mission may include computers, which was her specialty. "So what's the dealio?" she asked, actually getting excited about this mission. "I heard that this mission was going to involve going into a computer. Is that true? That would be amazing!" she was extra excited today, because she had an extra cup of coffee, hence the extravagant outfit. She forgot that she wasn't actually supposed to know that information. Oops.... she thought.

The N sighed and chuckled lightly. "Yes, the team of agents, hand-picked by myself and Agent Moon, are going to be sent through a portal of our creation, into the computer world, so you can shut down the game. You will have to listen to everything that Agent Shadow and Agent Moon say, for they are your leaders. Now, we don't know how long you will be gone. I've contacted your parents and told them that you will be going to a spy convention. The rest of the day you will spend training and then at precisely midnight, you will be sent into the game world to destroy the game from the inside. Once in, you won't be able to get out and we won't be able to help you. When we have sent you in, we will lock the game off from the rest of the world so that you can get to the Toymaker, who is trapped inside the game, and destroy the game."

Rita was squirming in her seat as Nevermore explained the whole situation. Once the room was silent, she leaped up and hugged both of the twins and Brennan with a huge smile on her face.
"I am SO glad you guys are coming too!! Yay!" Rita jumped up and down clapping her hands. Doing her famous happy dance, she started laughing until she fell to the floor.
"Seriously, i need a Monster or else i am never going to be able to stay alert!" Rita was prctically shaking with energy and she saw all of doubtful faces of her new teammates.
"What?" she protested.

"What?" the girl asked, finally noticing that all eyes were on her.

"Uh, your crazy." April said bluntly. "You're like a kangaroo on glucose drinks. Or anything else bouncy on anything else sugary and hyper-y. Ooh, new word." she noted.

Cassidy was spinning around in her big office chair across the room from her sister's desk when she heard their names called from the intercom. "Let's go Alex!" Cassidy ran to with her sister to the N's office hoping they weren't late. When they entered the room practically every agent was there except for them. "Sorry Nevermore!" They apologized in unison. Cassidy waited for his sister to stop asking questions before she interrupted. "Okay so this is my first mission. Do I get a spy name now?" She asked excitedly.

Shadow raised an eyebrow, was he in the right room? According to his calculations, the room was full of females...even the head. He rolled his eyes as he counted the countless number of girls...each with their own...moody type personality. How could he even think about going on this mission. He was told not to bring anyone from his HQs, making him alone on this mission. Being around girls, wasn't a weakness for him, he just despised their...mood swings. He chuckled to himself as he recalculated the numbers...again, sighed and looked over at The N, waiting for their next command. Instead he spoke up "If you girls are done with your...talking, I think The N, has announced that we have preparations ahead of us. And, I...at least I, would like to get started with them." he was obviously the core serious person in the crew.

((Alex or Lexi are fine for short. I thought it was too long to type too. :D))

Lexi laughed when she and Cassidy apologized at the same time. They did that often. She looked at some of the other agents. One girl seemed to be even more excited than she was. A lot more excited. And she was asking for an energy drink. Lexi laughed.

A voice spoke up from the corner. She hadn't noticed the boy before. "If you girls are done with your...talking, I think The N, has announced that we have preparations ahead of us. And, I...at least I, would like to get started with them." he said, sounding agitated. Or maybe it was just because he was the only serious person in the room. She looked him over. He had black hair and bright blue eyes that contrasted nicely. He had a spy watch on too, and seemed kind of dark. But naturally, she noticed his clothes first. He was all black, typical for a spy, but he had a bright orange streak going diagonally across him. She hadn't known many spies to wear bright colors before. "You don't seem very excited." she accused him, jokingly. She realized he was the only boy there. "Oh well, I guess you're right. By the way, love the orange streak." She turned to face Nevermore. "So, what exactly do we do to prepare for this mission?" she asked. She was already a techno-expert, so the mission shouldn't be too hard.

The N sighed and went through the list of tasks... yet again. Agent Moon rolled her eyes at the fact that everyone else hadn't been paying attention. As Nevermore rattled on about the training process that was to go on for the rest of the day, she leaned over towards her best mate, Shadow.
"Dude, you're not going to be uncomfortable on this mission, eh? Remember, we're co-leaders in this assignment. If they give you a hard time, they'll have to answer to my fists," Moon cracked her knuckles ominously as she put on some studded gloves. She fingered the slingshot in a holster on her side. No one dared mess with her when she had her trusty old slingshot.
The N dismissed the meeting and Shadow and Moon were left to organise their team.
"Right," Moon said, getting up to face the rest of the team. "You'll all be wondering why The N and I have chosen you for this operation. Well, here it is. You are all my best agents in your area of expertise. I will need each and every one of you to help on this mission. Now, we are needed down on the training level to begin our training. Shadow eyed all the girls, he had no problem with them at all. He could knock one of them out in a second, probably not Dash though. She'd be on the other side of the room if he tried. He glanced around at the team. Moon and The N knew what they were doing. He had a bigger mission ahead of him though. He grinned and nodded at Moon. "I have a question." he said "What if one of us gets captured, I've done my research. Its not like the original game that happened a few years ago...its worse. In this game some characters touch something they shouldn't and poof! They disappear and aren't seen until, hopefully we close the game. What are we going to do in the situation?" he asked looking at everyone whose faces were grins and happiness and was now changed into frowns or horror.

In this game some characters touch something they shouldn't and poof! They disappear and aren't seen until, hopefully we close the game. What are we going to do in the situation?" he asked, watching most of the girls faces turn to horror and worried looks. "Umm... If I may interupt." Spark said "In my lengthy gaming experience, I have found that every game I have played have had a cheat code to help that situation. And in my research I have found that this game should have them too." she said. She wasn't afraid of a game. And she wasn't about to be scared by some other agent either, no matter what.

Moon facepalmed. Evidently she and Shadow were the only ones who had read the handouts that they had been given earlier that same day. Sighing and counting to ten, she went through the technicalities of the game.
"This game is much like the original Toymaker creation, Game Over. Except for the fact that this game has far more levels, 302 more levels, to be precise. Inside the game are many fake characters, deceivers and Moderators. Fake characters can destroy anything done by any one of us whilst in game. Deceivers will try to lead us astray and get us a permanent game over, whereby we would then be trapped for all eternity in the game. Moderators, though, are the worst. They can be anywhere and everywhere at any given moment. They make sure that the rules are followed to a T. The game has a built-in security system that will immediately give a game over to any player who tries to deploy a cheat code, exploit a glitch, or hack the programming. I, much like you, Spark, have much gaming expertise and, moreover, computer expertise. I can hack virtually anything, but this game is unhackable. If we are to shut down this game, we have to do it from the beginning and hope to find some back-doors within the game. That, technically, isn't cheating, but it is toeing a very fine line." Moon clasped her hands behind her back and turned to several screens on The N's walls and put each onto different screens. "These, my dear friends, are Beta testers who were sent into the game two months ago. They were caught deploying cheat codes. They got an immediate game over and their brains now belong to the Toymaker. Those same beta testers are here, in this building in a semi-conscious state, not knowing anything." Moon paused here and surveyed the confused looks of her spy force.
She then walked over to Shadow. "Shadow, in regards to your question about the poofing and disappearing... yes. That is true. We need to be very careful about everything we do whilst in this game... very careful indeed."

That, technically, isn't cheating, but it is toeing a very fine line." Moon explained to her, exhasperatedly.

Spark sighed. "I know that. I read the packet. Sort of." In truth she had skim-and-scanned it real quick. "But, every game must have some way to cheat, right?" She prodded. Moon showed them beta-testers who had gone in the game before. "Oh, well then. Back doors are better than nothing." she said. She still wasn't scared, but she didn't want to be mindless either. "Oh then. Let's get to training!" she declared, eager to get this mission started. She didn't like being a spy, but this mission could be fun. "Come on people, what are we waiting for?!"

"Why would anybody play this game in the first place if you get an immediate game over if you touch something?" Rita was sitting on the floor listening to the conversation quietly. By the surprised looks on thier faces, she guessed that they forgot she was here.
"Seriously, this game is bad news just listening about how many times people could permenantly stay in it." Rita shrugged sat on the edge of N's desk. "Exactly how many people have joined this game anyway?" Her energy was still pretty high for normal peoples standars but for her, she felt like she was going to fall over any second now.

"Well I don't really have a specialty, or anything special for that matter. Heck, I don't even have a spy name! But anyways," Cassidy paused to calculate the numbers in her head. "Based on the game popularity I'd say thousands, maybe even millions have joined." She said answering the hyper girl on the desk. "What kind of 'training' are we going to be doing anyways? Are we going to train based on our special skills or just like do everything that everyone does? Cause I don't really have any special skills and I'm pretty sure I can't do what the rest of you can!" Cassidy finished with a giggle twirling a lock of her curly blond hair around her finger.

"Deputy, whose deputy around here?" Brennan asked. She turned on her spy watch and found GPS tracking. "The deouty's not moving like he or she i sjust standing there. Oh my god what's wrong with her?"She paused then using her watch zoomed in closer. The deputy's face was scared and her eyes were wide. "She was assigned to this task right....so that means when we start we're going......to change." She stared at the file, she had read it twice but never comprehended exactly what it was. Without thinking she shot her feather which doubled as a knife onto the file straight in the middle of at least 50 pages.

"Brennan, calm down," Moon said, her voice still cool but everyone could hear the trace of danger that now lingered in cool tones. "The deputy, I'm afraid to say, was removed from the game by the Toymaker and he has full control of her mind. We can't get her back. We've tried. However, should this mission turn out well, I can see many of you getting higher ranks in the CB. But, yes, when we go into that game, we're not using characters like all the other millions of teenagers and children, we're going in as ourselves. Any damage we receive will leave a lingering scar back here in the real world. For example, should we lose an arm, then chances are when we come out of the virtual world, that arm would be paralysed or very badly injured."
Moon strode over to the desk and removed the feather knife and gave it back to Brennan. "Now, we must go into training. The boffins down on our computer level have been able to salvage some of the levels from the original Game Over and we are going to go into that and train, for, several of the levels in the new game are incredibly similar." Moon went towards the door and it whooshed open. She then said over her shoulder to them, "Oh, one other thing, the game specifications only allow us to have one gadget, one weapon and one miscellaneous item. So, you've got to choose your items carefully."

Shadow grinned from ear to ear as Moon said that. He eyed the others and chuckled as he followed her out "I'm sure you'll all pick wisely." he already had his weapon that he needed, he hoped the rest of the crew would pick wisely for theirs. Once he and Moon were out, he tapped her shoulder, for she was a fast walker compared to him. "Moon, question, whats with the deputy, I wasn't...told about her." he said raising an eyebrow. "Being from the OSS, I'm not told some things. As a part of this mission, don't I have a right to know about this." he was now walking side by side with her now and was wondering "We do know we're risking the other's lives...I hope they won't be completely careless in sections that aren't their strengths." he sighed. "I have confidence in them, I know you all picked wisely, and the right ones too, but are they ready?" he asked. "we have less then 12 hours to get them ready for a mission that is extremely serious." he said. Shadow felt a bit bad, he was after all just stating facts, that Moon probably already knew.

"I-- am--N's---assis--s--iss-assis-helper---i--will-take--you--to--hi--hi--h--N---now!" he said with and extreme stutter. Quite how anyone put up working with this Ben didn't know. Moon sighed, trying to keep her cool composure. "Que Sera, Shadow. Que Sera, sera. What will be, will be." They continued to walk along the long, metal floored, corridor, their feet clanking in a staggered rhythm. There was a long pause as Moon searched for the right words to say about the Deputy. The Deputy had been her best friend, and it made her sad to think that she wouldn't see her again.
"Eddy Cox, or as she was better known, The Deputy, was sent into the game nearly four months ago. We had managed to get her into the Beta Testing program. She was our most skilled spy, and she taught me everything she knew. She went into the game and quickly soared through the levels of the game. We tracked her the whole time throughout her progress and then, one day, poof. The Toymaker removed her from the game, but keeping her in Cyberspace. Her brainwashed her, removing every piece of knowledge from her mind, leaving only her spy training behind. He then put his own mind into her and turned her evil. We c-c-couldn't get her b-back," Moon started quivering. Her eyes filled with tears and there was a lump in her throat. "She belongs to the Toymaker now."

Shadow went red. He gulped as he watched Moon, the great Moon, start swelling up in tears. What was he suppose to say now. He put a hand on her shoulder "Then thats why we know we've got ourselves a reason to go in there. Not just for everyone else like we've always been doing, but this time, its personal, personal revenge. Its up to us, we will save her." he assured her. "You, and the crew, and if I make it through the whole, me too." he said trying his best to cheer her up. "We will go in, for her honor." he said nodding. He was slightly hurt that she had a best friend, he thought he was closer to her, but then again he'd been gone for many years. Shadow sighed and smiled as he patted her back "Moon, what your doing is right, I won't let you loose your mind in there." he chuckled slightly "well...you've already passed that stage, but you know what I mean. Plus, we've got a great crew, we'll find a way to get..The Deputy back." he nodded.

"Thanks, Shadow," Moon said as she hugged him. She looked at his eyes, which were troubled. She put two and two together and hopefully didn't make five. "Shadow. You're troubled. Is it because I had a best friend who wasn't you? I should have made myself much clearer. You're my best friend. Eddy was my best fried in the CB. No one else here was half as friendly as you."
Moon felt very easy with Shadow, as she always had. With all the others, she had to keep up a facade. Not many people knew the real Moon, who was actually just as scared as any other child in the CB.
She and Shadow continued to walk around. "Oh, I've got some good news, though," she said, turning to Shadow. "I've been appointed as The N's second-in-command here. Don't tell the rest of the crew, she told me that I could only tell you about it."

His eyes grew wide and he chuckled "Well congratulations." he then made a confused face "Why shouldn't they know? I mean, wouldn't you get more respect that way?" he asked curiously. See, what she didn't know was that back at the OSS, he too was the second in command, The N knew that, why didn't she notify Moon? Maybe it was up to him to tell her...or was he not to? Shadow is here having been personallu asked by myself and The N. If anything, it doesn't say that the OSS is rubbish, if anything, it says that there are some certain spies in the CB that are less-than-satisfactory." "I do not treat my team-mates as servants, as you put it. If a team is to work well together, respect is to be given from each person to every person. I respect you, wait, no. You don't even know what insubordination means, it means not submitting to authority and last time I checked all of us are treated equally by international spy laws, you just have got greater skill than I have but you can only enter enemy technology, I could enter their forces so that's why the N knows we're a good team but unless you aren't being a good teammate I think we could fail this mission. The N has selected myself and Shadow as team leaders, and therefore we deserve respect as much as people respect their teammates. Without myself or Shadow, you wouldn't be on this team. And, as a matter of fact," Moon said, her voice turning icily cold. "I am a level one spy as of last week." she said, pulling an identity card out from her pocket and shoving it into Brennan's face. "Level 1, promoted by The N herself. If anyone is the one who can't read, it is you."
Moon placed the identity card back into her breast pocket of her shirt and picked up the laws of the spies. "And if I may, I refer you to a page of this. Page 32, paragraph 3, sentence 14, and I quote: Respect is dealt out to all equally. Those who deserve more respect are these: The leaders of the organisation, higher ranking spies and, should you be on a mission in a team, the leader of said team." Moon's icy glare bored into Brennan's eyes. She chucked the book back at her, not saying a single other word.

If we're going to go and save the youth of the world, we need to get into that game and be ready, but we can't if you're going to carry on making a scene like this. And yes, you are too young and immature as you so rightly put it. If you're going to continually insult members of your team, then we will deem you as immature, because we expect more from you."

"Okay I will keep my opinions to myself and you aren't going to find out how to get in to the toymaker's factory. But for the benefit of the team I will give it to you provided all of you stop throwing this hissy fit about me right now." Brennan said calmly. She gave Moon a layout of the toymaker's factory and grinned widely. "I can break the lock and maybe he has the solutions for disarming the game in his study so N has told me." She continued smiling at Moon's scrunched up angry, red face.

You have no idea how much you have helped us in this. We won't have to go through an episode like this again, shall we?" she said, her electric blue eyes boring into Brennan's.
Moon turned to the rest of the team who were now all on or in their vehicles. "Right-o then team! Put on these glasses," she said, handing out some glasses. "And we will be transported into the game world, ready to begin our training."

She towed out a sapphire blue high speed Lightning 3000 bike and put on the glasses. She examined the file and nodded at Moon who seemed to be happy now."Um we aren't supposed to have a username right for the game?" Brennan asked meekly. The CB always had a problem with usernames they could never conceal an agent fully. She hoped that just now it wouldn't involve any passwords

Moon rolled her eyes behind the black lenses of her glasses, thankfully nobody could see her growing irritation. Straightening her fedora, she said over her shoulder, "We're not properly players when we actually go into the game because The N is going to hopefully block the game so that we can get through quickly and destroy the game before Midnight. So far we have 16 hours before the game goes online and, should we get through our training quickly enough, we will be in the game for 14 hours and that should theoretically give us enough time to get through the game. Now, no more questions, the boffins are going to load us into the program and then we will proceed with training," she said as she, once again, got onto her motorbike and then signalled at the Boffins to load them into the game.
Seconds later, the whole group were in the game world, wearing body armour and at the start of the Mega Race. Moon grabbed her black jacket from the seat of the motorbike and put it on, straightening her fedora, ready for the race.

The fact that he was panting made it even harder for Dobbs to talk. 'the sooner i am in the game and away from him the better!' Ben thought. He was nervous about meeting the others. He was used to being in charge, on the top. Here he was the newbie. The one nobody wanted to sit by at lunch. He remembered what his mother had told him. "Don't scowl, smile. Be nice and friendly, oh and do comb your hair Ben!" Ben clumsily ran his fingers through his hair. "He-re-- we--are!" Dobbs opened a door and Ben took a deep breath before going through it.

"You're late," Brennan said, "grab a motorcycle." She straightened her brown jacket then suddenly cursed under her breath. She realized her knife was stuck onto the pedal and she despreately tried to pull it out. "No distractions," she told herself, "complete focus." She thrust the blade out of the pedal and in a second she was transported into a place she would never want to enter again. A long hallway up and down and there were three doors. She hated doors.

Shadow was sitting there already, waiting for everyone else. He wasn't a fan of those who were late. Shadow sat there quietly, observing his group. He needed to understand them all quickly, even if they may have all been girls. He rolled his eyes as the last few showed up. He liked racing, so they'd be able to continue easily. Shadow looked down at the wheel of his car and chuckled. He had hand made the car, it wouldn't get ruined, not very easily that is. He smiled as he counted everyone here. He glanced back at Moon to see if they were ready.

"3-2-1" The announcer yelled on the loudspeaker. "GO!" Rita sped ahead of everybody else and their startled beginning. She had eavesdropped on their conversation and known that none of them were fully prepared to start the Mega race. Her eyes were aglow as she saw somebody coming up clse behind her, it was Moon. She pressed a button on the side of her vehicle and tens of thousnds of marbles spewed out causing Moon's cycle to spin like crazy. Laughing like a wild woman she didnt realize Shadow creeping beside her and she wasnt prepared for the fog that came out of his cycle causing her to not see where she was going. now i know why they call him Shadow.. she thought, still happy as ever.

The announcer's voice sounded, "3-2-1- GO!" and the race began. Rita automatically sped off. She was high energy no matter where she was. She let out a string of marbles when Moon started getting close, and Lexi dodged Moon's spinning figure. Then Rita got side-tracked when Shadow released some black fog that confused her, until she started riding backwards. "Way to go Shadow! And Rita, turn around!" Lexi laughed into her microphone. She was coming up behind Shadow now. She hit a button on the dashboard, and a hand shot out of the front of her bike, grabbed the backs of Shadow's, and shot him to the side. "See ya later!" she cried, as she zoomed past. She was way in the lead now.

Rita sped her motorcyle up to full speed and passed Lexi in less than 5 seconds, and flew over the ramp like she had wings. She let an excited squeal escape her as she was free-falling, and she let out a huge 'Oof' as she had a hard landing back on her cycle.
"Take that SUCKA'S!" she screamed as she turned her body to see the others just now coming off the crazy ramp.

She floored the pedal and accelerated as fast as her bike could easily go. She was going faster, and faster, and came up beside Rita. "See ya, SUCKA's" she said with a devilish grin. The minute Ben opened the door he was grabbed and thrust onto a motorbike. His motorbike. 'Racing?' Ben was surprised. What was so tough about racing. Or motocross or... well anything motorbike related really! Then it struck Ben. He wasn't sure what he was meant to do! However, before he could ask anyone he was thrust somewhere else. A corridor. It must be the game. He could see other bikers ahead of him and they were already racing. Ben turned the throttle and before long he had caught up with them. This was an intense race! Ramps and turns everywhere! 'Just don't die in the game!' Dobbs had told him. Ben had never had time for computer games. Too late for them now though! He though and raced off.

Moon got off of her motorbike, limping badly. She was pleased with how the race had gone and she saw that she had been right about Dash. She limped over to a rail and steadied herself against it as she checked her leg over and over, trying to discern what was wrong. Mid-way through the race, someone had rammed into the side of her bike, she had been in too much agony to be able to think who it had been. Rolling up the leg of her jeans, she felt something and looked at her hands to see that they were red with blood. She looked down at her leg and saw a huge gash along her leg, and it was very deep. Wincing in pain, Moon grabbed a roll of bandage from her jacket pocket and quickly bandaged her leg, not able to dress it properly.
Moon walked painfully over to the rest of the group. "I'm sorry, but we don't have enough time to do a tie-breaker. We need to move on to combat with staffs. There simply isn't time to do everything. She saw that there were other loosely and poorly wrapped dressings, but Rita took them off and stuffed those bloody ones in her pocket.

Flicking her wrist up, she glanced at her watch. "Ok everyone, time to get to level four! Chop chop! Poor Moon...Lexi thought. She didn't like the look of that cut. Knives could be really dangerous. When she was little, she hit the table running around the house, fell, a knife fell off the table, and gave her a foot-long gash on her back. She still had a scar, to match the one on her arm, which she got in a spy mission accident. She was slightly clumsy at times....

She had to Lexi hit the side of her hoverskates to activate them, and sped off to skate next to Rita and Shadow. "Great race! Awesome tie, Shadow. Shadow grinned and nodded "Oh come on Moon! Your telling me your...scared?" he chuckled as he raced up next to her (it looked as if he was nearly skipping) "Moon, you gotta give your girlies here a pep talk." He flashed his eyes across towards the others "Look guys, we may be....well...not much.." he winked "but you guys...no we can all get through this, we should work together." he was really hoping they would succeed, Moon was like a sister to him...he didn't like his boss, but a job was a job.
"come on guys, we'll find Dash, the toymaker will regret taking her in...I mean...if she doesn't get her...what was it? Purple soda..or whatever..she'll go crazy eventually...once she calms down...and she won't shut up...so..be glad its her...I mean she'll keep the Toymaker busy." he chuckled.

Moon nearly scowled at Shadow. She was now in a foul mood and she wasn't playing around anymore. One of her teammates had inadvertedly injured her, another taken away by the Toymaker and then Shadow acting almost joyful. She wasn't scared, but she was wary. She was still very unnerved by the almost knowing look in his eyes when Dash had disappeared.
Looking around at their virtual area, she could tell that something was changed in the game. Not sure what it was, but she definitely felt like she was being watched, and that made Moon feel incredibly uncomfortable.
"C'mon everyone, let's get out of here quickly. We don't have much time to get back to Dash..."

Shadow was scaring Lexi. He seemed... happy. Everyone else on the team seemed worried and nervous, but he seemed very.... different, than the rest of them. Very self-assured. It unnerved her. She was rather freaked out by the whole team situation. Their leader had an injured leg, one member was kidnapped, and Shadow was practically skipping!

I wish I know what he's thinking.... Or feeling! she thought, as a spark of brilliance hit her. My watch's emotion detector! Oh, but it has to make contact with the person. Hmm...... She needed to touch Shadow to know what he was feeling. "Hey Shadow, what's that on your arm?" she asked him, as she grabbed his arm. She looked at her emotion detector. It read "25% worried, 50% hopeful, 15% confused, 10% angry." Hmmmm... Lexi thought. "Oh, never mind..." Lexi said to a confused looking Shadow, and walked away thinking I have a LOT to consider.

"Nice work, James.." the Toymaker nodded at the screen with evil echoing in his voice. He turned to Rita, "Or you know him as, Shadow." He got immense pleasure from her horrified gasp and even more when she cursed at him in spanish.
"Sticks and stones, dear." he ran his finger down the side of her face in almost a loving gesture.

Rita was helpless, but she fought in anyway that she could. As his icy finger ran down her face; she tried to bite it when it neared her mouth, but with no avail. He just let out an enormously evil laugh that sent shivers down her spine. She watched the screen, which was all she was able to do in her position, and she hoped that her team would make it through this.
Grr.. If only i had a knife to cut myself out of these wretched restraints.. she thought angrily. Wait! My spy boots! Maybe they will- But when Rita looked at her feet, all that covered them were a pair of very white socks.
"Drat.." she surprised herself by saying aloud.

Shadow chuckled "Aw come on guys, I'm just trying to cheer up the mood. Okay ya maybe we're stuck in the middle of this stupid game..." he lifted a fist "right toymaker...we'll see you soon...face to face! We'll deal with you then!" he said his face completely serious.
he was not happy. He hated his job, but it was job. He couldn't get fired. They just didn't know what power the Toymaker had over him...
Shadow watched as everyone looked at him very amused at his change in attitude. He gulped his facial expressions now matching the pain and sorrow in his eyes. "Come on." he said more seriously and calmly "We should get going." and he took out his map "I got cheats." he said showing them.

Brennan nodded uneasily at Shadow's personality shift. She had to trust them but he sounded so awkward back then it seemed so menacing. " We should split up. HAlf of us find Dash. HAlf of us decide what to do next?" She paused needing approval for her horribly weird suggestion but the music seemed like faint evil laughter and had scared her because she heard that voice, once.....before.

Shadow frowned. Thats what the Toymaker wanted. He wanted them to split. Right as Brennan said that he found himself nearly shouting "No!" then, embarrassed he turned red and went quiet "Not a good idea." he had to think of something fast "Thats how The Toymaker got Dash, she split from us for a split second and Bam, he got her." he finished as he was patting his back inwardly for the catch. "I think we should all stay together, I mean...if we all trust each other, then we should stick together with friends." he nodded assuringly.

The Toymaker chuckled and glanced back at Dash "Wrong move boy!" he said angrily. "That will have to cost you." and with that the Toymaker pressed a button causing the next affect in the game happen straight at the spy agents.

The Toymaker slipped outside of the room Rita was held captive in and he pressed a button. An invisible gas that was tasteless, colorless, and scentless seeped into the room and immediately put her to sleep. He laughed in complete joy. It was just too easy. Now for the next step; it was time to brainwash her.
***
After about a day of unconsciousness, Rita finally woke up feeling extremely groggy and sore. She looked around the blindingly white room and saw nothing. Then the screen pulled down on the wall in front of her again, it showed Moon hanging off of the side of a cliff! Where were the others? Moon was hanging on by a feather… No! It was Brennan’s knife! The video changed to show her other comrades fighting off little metallic demons, and then… the screen flickered off and rolled back up the ceiling.
“No! No! No!” she screamed trying to release herself from her bonds. All of a sudden, the Toymaker walked in with what looked like a chocolate cupcake with strawberry, vanilla, chocolate, and lemon icing. It was Rita’s favorite dessert.
“Happy birthday to you... feliz cumpleaños a ti.” He sang. Rita froze. It was her birthday.. but- oh no… She had been captive for longer than she thought. Oh Moon, I have failed you she thought with despair hoping for some odd reason the Moon would hear her.

Shadow turned, he was in an OKAY mood, not the best, but it wasn't like he had a choice. He avoided Moon, now that they were in the game it wouldn't be the same. But he knew already that the Toymaker saw his mistake and he was going to pay... He saw it before everyone else did. His eyes grew wide and he nearly stumbled backwards as he was jumped by a TinkerToys. He recoiled quickly, kicked it to neverland. He looked towards the army that was headed towards them. He cursed. Thanks... he complained to his boss...He groaned and started to yell "Run!!!" and he started to run. Moon was injured she couldn't run. Shadow's mind froze. That’s what the Toymaker planned. "No way.." he shook his head. "Moon, sorry you'll hate me for this..." and he scooped her up, clicked his shoes together creating super-rocket-skates. "Come on! Towards the cave, there is a jump we can take there to the next level" he called. He knew everyone would think he was crazy for knowing this. He'll just say he studied. All he wanted was to make sure his good friend wouldn't get hurt. Toymaker promised that no one would get hurt really bad, Moon was already hurt, so why...get her more? Shadow wasn't sure, but all he could do was skate towards the cave. He put Moon down, counted everyone in the cave and just in time as the TinkerToys hit the cave he rolled the rock with his super strength power- up (cheat code) and fell backwards against the huge rock blocking the way. This would give them enough time to take a break, breath, and then continue towards the jump before they were attacked again.

Moon's leg was giving her absolute hell as the group were running away from the TinkerToys. That was when Shadow had run by and picked her up off her feet and ran with her over his shoulder. Oh the indignity of it all! As Shadow set Moon down on a rock and rolled a boulder over the mouth of the cave, she checked the bandage on her leg and saw that it was as bloody as ever.
"Thanks Shadow," Moon said quietly as she tried to get up and put her weight onto her leg. Crying out in pain she fell to the ground. She pounded the ground with a fist in frustration. Moon wasn't one to give in easily. She would complete this mission and get Rita back even if it would kill her.
Don't worry, Rita, we're gonna get you back.

As if the pain of being strapped tightly to a cold steel table wasnt enough, now she had to watch Moon suffer even more. Rita's heart was hurting for Moon, but she tryed not to show it. She had to stay strong, for the team. She was blinking back tears and holding her breath so that the words she wanted to say the the Toymaker wouldnt all spew out.

**

"They are... so weak." he murmered in her ear. "Look at her, she is just doing this so she can get the guy. Did you see how they were flirting with each toehr before the mission? Shameless of them. Cant you see that they dont care for your well-being? They just want to be alone..."

Rita closed her eyes tight. No! No! No! she wasnt going to believe this! But, they were flirting sort of... NO! Stop! Rita was trying to hard to resist these thoughts, but they was alreay planted in her brain and it was only time before it would seep through and contort her memory.

((Flirting? Since when? Why wasn't I informed of this? O.o))

Moon winced in pain as her leg twinged again. She looked over her shoulder and around the cave, convinced that the group were being watched. She could feel it in her toes. The rest of the group were crowded around Shadow, congratulating him for having done so well to save them. Moon was grateful to Shadow, but she needed this time to think. Her mind was in turmoil as she tried to sort out all the thoughts in her head.
It was clear that she had some feelings for Shadow, but she kept those to herself, as not to show a weakness. She didn't want Shadow to get hurt on her account. But it was also obvious that Shadow was keeping something to himself that was important. She saw it every time she looked into his eyes or watched his body language every time they discussed the mission. Moon had excellent skills in deductive reasoning, but she was stumped now. The only other thought in her head was that she was wondering what was happening to Rita. Her spy watch had bleeped to remind her that it was the girl's birthday, but she couldn't even give her a smile and a cheery happy birthday.
She tapped in a message on her Spy Watch as a thought occured to her; why not write a message on the watches? Maybe it would get through!
Happy Birthday, Rita. She typed and sent the letter, hoping it could get to Rita, which might even mean that they could contact one another!

((The Toymaker was lying to Rita to brainwash her...))

Rita felt a slight buzzing in her pant pocket. Unfortunatly, she couldnt reach it. The Toymaker had been absent fromt he room for a couple of minutes, so now was the time to try and wriggle free. Rita had skinny arms compared to other people so she twisted, wiggled, and pulled on her arm for about 10 minutes until finally, it came free. Rita grabbed the small buzzing object from her pocket. It was her Spy watch! Looking at the message, she almost cried, and Rita never cried. It said: Happy Birthday, Rita. It was from Moon. Rita quickly one-handedly typed another message back in haste because she heard footsteps approaching the room. She sent the message stuffed the watch in her pocket, and wriggled her arm into the strap just in time, for the Toymaker walked in just as she finished. The message had said: M! ((I wrote TimberToys instead of TinkerToys so it wouldn't exactly be Spy Kids, but its okay, I changed my to match :D ))

Shadow watched Moon as she dealt with her own leg and even watched as she sent the message. If Rita was with the Toymaker then he'd probably told her about him and if Rita and Moon had contact-
He frowned and walked over to Moon he watched her spy watch vibrate. "Moon, here let me help you up...we need to move out of here, fast." he said trying to stop her from looking at the watch. He cared for her, he didn't want her to be the first to find out, but he was who he was. Shadow gulped and stretched out a hand for her to take so she could lean on him. "we need to find you a boast." he said looking around. "I need to get the cheats..." he muttered.
Shadow looked around the room at the others. "Okay girlies, we need to keep a move on before-" he was stopped by the banging sounds at the rock that was between them and the TinkerToys "Now!" he said his eyes growing wide with fear. "They won't come into the cave, they are afraid of fire..this is the Fire Cave i I'm right." he said looking at Moon for her approval. "There is a lava river that leads out towards the Volcano." he pointed deeper into the cave. "Thats our only way out before these guys come and get us."

Moon could feel her spy watch vibrating against her wrist as Shadow helped her up. She could tell that it was Rita and it seemed that Shadow was trying to stop her from reading the message.
Moon dusted herself down and flicked her wrist up to check the message only to notice that the message had been deleted.
Swearing to herself, she pocketed the watch in her jacket and slung the strap of her hoverboard over her shoulder.
"So...what next?"

"So...what next?" Moon asked. He had hoped she might know, but what else could he say but "We have to go into the volcano. What else can we do?" he said throwing one of Moon's arms around his shoulders as he put his arm around her for support. "Plus, find you a boast." he nodded. He looked at the others gesturing for them to follow. "One of you go ahead to see if there is anything we can use to go into the river without burning. He gulped, he knew they couldn't burn, but he wasn't going to tell them, it would be too obvious if he let that loose.
Suddenly he noticed that he was holding Moon. They hadn't been in situation like this...since a long time ago when they had missions together. It mostly felt good to help a good friend. Especially his best friend, but if she ever found out...what was he to say?

The Toymaker continued to watch and a huge frown was across his face "Stupid boy! I told you not to get close to her!"
He turned to Rita "See, they completely don't care that you're stuck here. They won't ever know, they will never save you. They care too much about each other." he laughed as he was tricking Rita into thinking no one cared for her.

She swam over to Shadow and grabbed the fast sinking hoverboards. Moon had been wearing her spy glasses which had a rear-view mirror quality to them, and she had seen how Shadow had flown to the back of hers and tipped it up backwards.
Sorely tempted to thump him silly, Moon got a grip of herself and mentally shook herself before doing anything rash. She gripped his wrist and kicked strongly towards the door, her leg hurting with each kick that she made.
Resurfacing on the rocks, she scowled at Shadow and sat down with a hmph on a rock, her right hand encircling her left wrist as tears welled in her eyes. The Toymaker laughed so hard that he had tears coming to his eyes. This was just too good!
"Dont worry, Agent Moon. Your precious Rita will be coming back to you shortly.” The Toymaker glanced over at Rita who was sleeping peacefully on the bed he placed her on. She was just about done with brainwashing. All that had to happen, was to convince her to betray Moon and the Team and listen to everything Shadow tells her to do. This would be explained at the meal she would be eating when she woke up. It would be consisted of all of her favorite foods, and he would even throw in a birthday cake. This plan was working beautifully. She was putty in his hands, and the team was falling apart. Perfect! N was so close to the Toymaker, he could almost feel her squirming beneath his lethal grasp. Chuckling, the Toymaker watched Rita dream… this was all going according to plan.

Shadow glanced up from the ground. He was laid out on his back, arms spread out and was still panting, trying to catch his breath. He looked at Moon and heard what she said. He sighed. Shadow sure hoped she would keep to what she said...mostly. Shadow sighed again. He hated how he had so many choices to make. They were way to hard especially since the Toymaker had so much control over him.
Finally he gathered up the courage to talk and said "Moon, you'll save Rita, I know you all will." Shadow got up. He couldn't do this anymore. He was a traitor. Why was he trying to hurt them. Just becuase the Toymaker said so? Okay, maybe that one fact that the Toymaker was... he couldn't let that take over. He wasn't the Toymaker.
Shadow's hands were in fists now. Shadow looked up at that big door. They needed to open it somehow and continue on. His pocket was beeping. It was Moons watch from the Toymaker. He took out the watch and turned to Moon.
"He knows I'm doing this. He knows it." he took a deep breath and looked down at his feet. Its not like he wasn't scared. He was terrified. Shadow...the legend was terrified. This was the worst mission yet. "Get to The N through your watch. If I can get to the Toymaker, you can get to The N for help." he gulped and looked away. He knew they were going to leave him behind, but he knew his way around the game. If only he'd be able to help them. Now that the Toymaker knew he was a traitor, he would change...everything. He just made it worse for everyone, but even if they didn't trust him, he would have to follow them and make sure they could find a way out.

Shadow's mind was set. He leaned against the wall, one foot holding himself against the wall, his hands in his pockets, his sunglasses on his face. He looked down at his shoes. It was now up to everyone else to decide what they were doing next. He wasn't sure what they would choose, but they couldn't juust stay here or else they would all be dead meat.

Rita woke up to the smell of enchiladas. When she sat up, she saw yellow all around her, and there was an orange table full of her absolute favorite foods sitting at the other side of the room. Rita ran as fast as she could and started to pile a plate sky high, and she didnt even sit down before she started to devour it. She was ravenous.
"Mm... so good.." she moaned with delight, she didnt even notice the Toymaker enter the room.

Oh, this was working so well. Rita was simply dying of happiness, and this was the opportune moment to ensure complete control of her. The Toymaker was frankly, quite disgusted with the foods she enjoyed. It was all eiter sugar-stuffed, very salty, or just plain gross. The Toymaker shuddered a bit as she mercilessly crammed all she could into her mouth. Hm... I should hav fed her sooner... The Toymaker thought to himself.
"Rita, darling..." he started, and Rita looked up at him. "I have something to explain to you. It concerns your mission when i send you back."
"Go on..." Rita said.

Moon looked up at Shadow, her eyes dancing in their sockets as she searched his face for any sign of what he was planning to do, but even with her good intuition and skills of deduction, she was stumped.
"We're not leaving anyone behind, Shadow. What we do, we all do as a team, and that includes not leaving a team mate behind... ever."
She took her watch from him and strapped it back onto her wrist, but she didn't do anything with it. She knew what Shadow had done and she was angry at him, but there was that little bit of her in the back of her mind and in the locked safe within her heart, that loved him completely. She wasn't going to let him go and get himself hurt, even though he had tried to injure them earlier.
Moon entwined her hand with his and tilted his chin up from his chest and took off his sunglasses so she could look into his eyes.
"Shadow, please tell me why you did all that. I'm not angry at you, but I just want to know why. Why did you do what you did to us?"

Shadow gulped. Moon had obviously had a part of her that forgave him, that was giving him a chance. As she tilted his head up he was pale. What was he to tell her? How could he tell her such a horrible and devastating statement? His jaw stiffened as he hesitated to say anything. They were still off radar for the time being, he knew it, they had to be or else something would have hit them already. Shadow sighed taking a deep breath. Then with a bitter voice and sorrowful tone he answered.

"He's my father."

With that he shrugged her off and crossed his arms across his chest extremely mad at his heritage.

Moon gasped quietly when Shadow told her why he had done what he had done. She immediately felt that it wasn't his fault at all. It wasn't because he wanted power or anything like that, like she had suspected, it was because he was being made to. The Shadow that she knew wasn't the type to double-cross his teammates without a reason to.
Gently, she took his hand once more, interlacing her fingers with his. "It's not your fault, Shadow. You can't help who your Father is. You can't help it at all."
Shadow's hand left hers and her hand felt empty without the warmth of his. Taking off his sunglasses, Moon looked him directly in the eyes, not saying anything. She just wanted to be with him.

"It's not your fault, Shadow. You can't help who your Father is. You can't help it at all."
Shadow's eyes lifted up to look at her. It was as if she was a glowing profit. Those were the words he'd been looking for to hear for...years. He gulped and nodded his head. "You right." he finally answered. Shadow smiled at Moon. He took her hands back into his, their fingers interlacing once more. After a moment of silence he finally said "We don't have much time. We need to save Rita...and we only have a few minutes before the ToyMaker gets us back on his watch. We need to keep him thinking that his stupid slave son is still with him." he kept his eyes on Moon with a smile. "Thats the only way we'll know what the Toymaker wants. Rita is probably in his control now. We'll have to help Rita remember everything, but we'll have to be tricky." he nodded his head as he spoke very intelligently, after all, he was second in control here. He looked at everyone else to see their approval (never untangling his fingers from Moon's.)

Moon smiled and blushed as she realised that everyone else had been watching the two's private moment. She took her hand away from Shadow's and put on her cold, more icy face. She became the Moon that had been feared as a Spy, once more, rather than the Gallitea Night that Shadow had known for those few seconds.
"Right everyone. The Toymaker is going to know that we're still here and not trapped. We will give him absolute hell until we have Dash with us once more. Fortunately, Shadow here has told me that he knows pretty much everything there is to know about the Toymaker and his games, so you will listen to Shadow and do whatever he tells you." Moon paused here as she heard some cries of protest from the group. Raising her voice, she shouted at them to quiet down. "Y'know what? I honestly don't care what you think about Shadow. I trust him, and he is going to lead us through this. If I trust him, that should be enough for you to know that I'm serious. You've all known me long enough to know that I don't trust people until I've seen their true colours."

A grin grew across Shadow's face. He hadn't felt more proud of knowing someone like Moon then this moment right here. He was so glad that he chose spy over his stupid father. He nodded his head. "I know...I know it'll be hard for you all to trust me, but you gotta believe me. I'm in this now for Dash and you all." he looked down at his feet. "we can't let him get away with this again. He's done enough to many people, its time that we stopped he." he said his hands in fists now. "and we will stop him." he sneered a bit angrily. He turned to Moon and gestured his hand for them to follow. "lets go. I know how to get through the door, this is how we do it...." and once he finished explaining he said "Okay, the Toymaker should be checking in on our progress sooner or later, we have to act like we just figured it out on our own..." he bit his lip. "I can't appear as if I did give you the answers. I'll stand on the side as if I'm still all mad at you all, like I'm supposed to be." he nodded his head sliding his sunglasses back onto his face and leaned against the wall. He gestured his hands for them to shoo away "go on with it. I didn't tell you a thing." he chuckled with a grin across his face.

Moon smiled to herself as she watched Shadow resume his former composure. A bleeping from someone's spy watch told her that the Toymaker had resumed watching them. The smile disappeared from her face, and she immediately became the stern Moon that was known throughout the Spy world, or, at least she hoped she was known throughout the Spy World.
She went over to the door, put on a puzzled face, and began to look like she had no idea what she was doing, just to make sure the Toymaker thought that was the case. That was when she started to unlock the giant level door. After a few attempts, the door was open, and the group was through. She turned back to Shadow and took his hand, pulling him gently towards the door. "Thanks," she whispered, looking deep into his eyes.

Shadow chuckled quietly and shrugged her off. "What are you looking at?" he barked at her. He knew he'd probably hurt her feelings, but he needed to cover himself, he was after all a spy and knew very well how to act like one.
He followed the group in after them. "Lets go. I say we head..." he paused on purpose to show as if he was thinking, but he had already told them what would happen. "To the Target up there." he said pointing. "Its should bounce us to level two." he nodded assuringly, even though they all knew what lay ahead of them.

Moon smiled to herself again. She knew that his harshness was an act, just to cover himself from the Toymaker. Shadow had told them every detail about what they were going to do. The only way to level two was to fight your way through the robo-arena and then to be teleported to level 2. She sighed. It meant that they would have to fight each other, beta-testers, and probably NPCs of the game. It also meant that many of them would lose some of their precious lives.
"C'mon then, guys. We need to get through this. This is for Rita..." Moon steeled herself and ran head first at the target, jumping at it. She had misjudged her take-off, and had, accidentally, flown right past it, crashing into some random scenery in the background.
She got up and dusted herself off and looked at the group who were in a fit of laughter. "I'd like to see you try. I mean, anyone can jump onto a target, but only special people can jump at a target, fly right past it, and break something with their head..."

He knew she hated that nickname people used to call her. "Let me show you how a real man does it." he grinned very proud of himself. He started to run, but then as he glanced back at Moon he lost his focus and tripped falling on his face. He groaned as he lay there on his face.
Shadow stood up and glared at everyone else. Moon looked like she was going to laugh at him. "Don't. Say. A. Word." he grunted angry at himself. He pointed to the target. "Why don't the rest of you go first." he sighed kicking himself inwardly.

((Is this where Rita comes back in? I wasn't sure, so I left an opening for her that I can gladly change.))

Lexi was doubled over in a fit of giggles. Their two leaders had both failed pretty miserably in bouncing off the target. The others didn't seem to want to try. Lexi looked around, waiting for someone to volunteer. "Oh, I"ll try." she sighed, and then giggling, wondering how badly she would mess this up. She walked foreward, squared her shoulders, and took a running start. She hit the target, and a flood of releif passed through her. She was soaring through the air, and was actually having fun, before she hit the ground pretty hard on the next level. She stood up, dusted herself off, and then gasped at what she found in front of her.

"It is so good to see you! Really! I was.... i was so worried, and i missed you guys. I thought i would never make it out alive." Rita felt tears in her eyes as she hugged her friend. It seemed like it had been ages since Rit had been kidnapped, but now she had a job to do. She needed to talk to Shadow. The Toymaker said that he would tell her what she should do, and her life was on the line if she did not complete this task, but the Toymaker was so nice! He gave her food and let her sleep. He had to act like he knew Rita had a mission to do as he and the Toymaker said. She was under him now... unfortunately. He looked at her hinting that he understood what had happened and faked that he agreed. "Come, we're going to level two, you came just in time." He looked at the others. They knew what to do. "Okay. I am here for you to give me my mission, sir!" and she was slightly confused by the expression on his face. He looked kind of...well... guilty. Rita assumed he would be very macho and serious guy he usually was. And besides, this was an important mission from the Toymaker, so he had to be serious about it. This was a big assignment that he gave her, and Rita felt very honored and special that he picked her to do it.
"What is my mission, sir?" she prodded once more.

"Its great to have you back!" he said patting her back, trying to get the others to stop looking at them. He slowed down so they'd be a bit far from the others. The other knew to move a bit faster, all part of the plan. Once they were far enough not to hear a word he whispered to Rita in a very serious and stern voice "You'll have to help me disarm Moon once we get passed the bots. Otherwise, I can't tell you my whole plan. We don't know what Moon has in store, the brat is a genius, so you'll have to follow what I do, and just go with the flow." he nodded and gave her a hug and in a louder voice said. "It is great to be back!" she said, somewhat chipperly. "I was feeling so lost an alone, but now i am back with you guys and i am safe, and we can complete our mission!" She landed, skidding on the dusty surface of the moon, coming to a stop at Shadow's feet, laughing as she got to her feet.
"I always knew how to make an entrance, eh, Shadow?" she said, laughing, dusting herself off. That was when she turned round and saw someone she thought she might never see again. "RITA!" she yelled as she ran to the girl and hugged her tightly. "You're back!"

Oh right, his stupid Toymaker of a Father was going to kill them all otherwise...thats why. He pouted, inside that was. One mess up, and they'd all be dead. Rita had been brainwashed..if only there was a way to reverse it..
Shadow finally looked up and nodded at Rita who grinned and smiled at him. She was falling for it. Rita was a smart girl, why did his father have to ruin her brain like that? The only way she could get out of it, is through her own realization. He sighed and his gaze shifted to that of Moon's. Their eyes locked for a minute.

She even felt that if she lost her composure, she would probably break out into an impromtu performance of 'Don't Stop Me Now' by Queen. She was feeling that good.
She finished hugging Rita, and looked at her, taking her in, not quite believing that she had come back. There was something wrong. Something in her eyes had changed. Something was missing, but Moon shook off the feeling. She usually trusted these instincts, but she was just too happy that Rita was back with them. "Have you seen Lexi yet? I think she'd be ecstatic to see you again. Go on, go," she said as she went to Shadow.

"I'm going to get him." he assured her. Finally he let go and headed towards the others. "Okay! I think we're getting really close!" he told them all. "I challenge Moon!" Rita squealed while jumping up and down, but her mind was working. It was like instead of a brain there were gears turning in her mind and she knew that if anyone, she would be the one to eliminate Moon. It would be too easy. She is too quick, too unpredictable, to extraordinary. She knew these things because the toymaker had told her. And he was always right. Rita stepped onto the platform where she got her suit clicked onto her, it was green. A spicy green that her mother had said always made her dark eyes shine. But though it was her favorite color, she knew that the Toymaker had fitted it especially for her.

Moon was slightly taken aback by Rita challenging her, but Moon had trained in three styles of martial arts and also was fairly good at street boxing. She could counter most moves thrown at her, and her reactions were fast. Although, she knew that something was different about Rita. Almost as though the Toymaker had tampered with her brain, or something. Moon was inwardly hesitant, because she knew that Rita wouldn't hold back if the Toymaker had, infact, tampered with her brain. If Rita wasn't going to hold back, then neither would Moon.
"I accept the challenge," she said, straightening her trilby hat and her sunglasses. She ascended on the lift to the platform at the top of her battle-bot, and she was sealed into her suit. It was comfortable, and fitted her like a glove. She tested her upper-body and lower body motion, making sure she was fully mobile in the suit.
Once ready, the gravity of the platform was switched on, and she was assured to not fall off.
She strode in the direction of the centre of the arena, her battle-bot mimicking her actions. She went into the en-garde position with her fist raised and she lowered her centre of gravity, ready to spring when needed.
"Good luck, Rita."

"They dont call me Dash for nothing!" she shouted happily as she ran to Moon and slid at the last second, swinging her leg under Moons legs, making her wipe out. Rita laughed giddly and sprung to her feet immediatly. This was such fun! Rita looked down at Moon and shook her head.

Before Rita had had a chance to react, Moon was doing a flying high-kick, crashing into the battle-bot again, sending it flying once more into the walls.

Rita smirked and placed her foot on Moon's chest.
"WINNER!!" the announcer shouted and Rita raised her hands in triumph.

In the Toymaker's EVVIIIIILLL lair.
The nefariously evil mastermind, the Toymaker, watched, smirking as Rita battled it out with Moon. The two were giving it all, but Rita was just too quick for Moon, no matter how much martial arts and street fighting training that she'd had.
He laughed as he saw Moon go down for the last time, hanging on by one life. It wouldn't take much more to get that little idiot out of the team of spies. If it wasn't for her, Rita and Shadow would've been able to complete their assignments far quicker. Moon was a problem.
With a smirk still playing over his mouth, he pressed the intercom button and spoke through it to Rita. "Nicely done, Rita. You did well. All you need to do is sabotage her next on level four in the hand to hand combat; the rest will be easy." he said, breaking down into a fit of evil laughter, typical of all good villains. If only the Toymaker cared about his son enough to care what he think, but naw, its not like the Toymaker meant to be Shadow's dad. Shadow was just thrown on his doorstep. Who would want to be the Toymaker's wife in the making anyway. Shadow never blamed his mother.
Shadow looked down at Moon. She was really on the verge of dying, or so everyone thought. It was all part of the plan. Plus for the next part, even though it was up Moon and Rita to fight again, it was finally Shadows turn. He was going to fight Rita on the hand to hand combat. He wanted to see if the Toymaker cared at all for him. It was a challenge he'd always wanted to make.

Unfortunately, she was not able to stop herself blushing profusely. She would've done something to get out of his arms, but she had a problem with her back since she was a baby, and her parents had attempted to sort it out. For the most part, her back problem didn't act up, but if she went through too much physical activity, such as street brawling, or in this case, Robo-brawling, it would act up, and she would virtually not be able to move from her waist down.
"Heyy, Shadow..." she said, her voice rather airy as if she wasn't completely there. Rather... away with the faeries at that point. "Hehe, you're carrying me... in your arms. Haha," she said, her eyes looking dazed and unfocused. "What happened back there?"

He laid her down on the side. "See, you woke up just in time. I know you can't fight..not in your em..condition." he was the only one who ever knew. Toymaker made him researched her background. He looked away. "I'm going in...I know its against the plan, but..but I'll do it." he looked back to make sure Rita was talking with someone and turned back to Moon quickly as he brushed her hair behind her ear. "I have to do this. I have to fight her, I need to know what he thinks...of me." he managed a smile then got up turning to the next hand on hand combat.

"No, Shadow, you can't go in. If I let you go there, I might not see you again..." Moon said weakly. "Please Shadow. Don't fight Rita. Her mind's been changed and she's sure to get rid of you if you go up against her. I have two half-lives left, and I'm better at hand-to-hand combat then her, she was at the advantage of speed in the robo-brawl, but she's clumsy, she'll fall if she tries to run around on those small walk-ways."
Moon tried to struggle up off the ground, but she couldn't move easily, due to the incredibly pain in her back. "Wait... Shadow, do you remember Agent Juni Cortez of the OSS? You worked with him when Game Over came out, and didn't he bring his disabled Grandfather into the Game, and he was given mega-legs or something? What about that?"

The Toymaker chuckled to himself as he watched the scene unfold on the screen. He pressed the intercom button and talked into Shadow's earpiece.
"Give her the mega-legs upgrade. The sooner we eliminate that girl, the easier it will be to take over the CB HQ without N's second-in-command."

Shadow's eyes grew wide. He gritted his teeth. He knew Toymaker wanted her dead. He started by shaking his head. "I- I can't let you go in there. I can get you the mega legs...but..." his hands were clenched in fists now. His jaw tightened as he took out the mega legs and gave it to her.
He watched as Moon absorbed the mega-legs upgrade. She was now standing straight and extra strong. He smiled. Shadow wanted to fight, but he knew his father didn't care about him at all. So why would he want to know the truth? He rather it be a mystery.
Shadow took one more glance at Moon and now couldn't hold back anymore. The Toymaker would think he was doing it on purpose...to just get her trust, for sure the Toymaker wouldn't think bad of him.
He pulled Moon in to him and cupped her face planting a kiss on her face. "Now don't go killing yourself out there." he grinned as he pulled away from her. He stood back as everyone stared at the two of them. He winked at Moon as she approached Rita.

Moon's eyes grew wide as saucers when Shadow kissed her. She stood there, half-dazed, trying to come to terms with what had just happened. And, at the risk of sounding chliche, Moon felt like she could defeat any enemy in her path. She winked back at Shadow when he winked at her. She smiled inwardly.
Standing up straighter than usual, she strode over to Rita, full of a renewed confidence. "Rita, I challenge you to the combat level." She said, her eyes icing over giving them a glint which showed she was no longer holding back.
As she challenged Rita, the game's lighting changed, and the two were teleported to the battle platforms. A staff dropped into Moon's hands. Rita was not yet given a weapon. She wouldn't be until she accepted. She didn't really have a choice, come to think of it, as the two were now suspended on flimsy platforms a good way above the ground.

Rita's eyes grew huge as she saw Shadow kiss Moon. What side was he on anyways? He was supposed to help her eliminate Moon and then go to N. Rita was pretty confused, but her job was at hand, and the Toymaker was depending on her to fulfill this mission.
"Yo acepto, chica." Rita said with a wicked gleam in her eye. IT was a gleam that showed that this was no longer the Rita everyone knew and loved... this was somebody new. A staff flew into Rita's hands and she poised into position.
"¡Prepárate para morir!" she muttered.

Moon grinned coldly and cracked her knuckles, locking vision on Rita's eyes, staring her down the steely glint of determination that was now emanating from Moon's eyes. "Préparer-vous à mourir, Rita." Moon spoke back in French. "You're going down..." Moon whirled and spun the staff around and sank into her ready position, poised to attack.
Neither girl moved for what seemed like an age, and then, all of a sudden, Moon leaped at Rita, the platform materialising under her feet as she landed, the staff all a-whirl, striking everywhere. Moon had nothing to lose and all to gain. This wasn't the Rita that she knew.
She watched as Rita's life-counter swiftly lowered in levels. Rita still had far more levels than she, Moon had.
Moon received her fair share of blows from Rita, getting hit around the place, and being flung into walls of platforms that had formed. She gasped as she saw her life-counter go down from 1 to 0.5.
With a loud battle-cry, Moon launched herself at Rita, catching the girl with the claw at the end of her staff, picking her up and flinging her against the wall.
She held Rita there with the staff and stood on Rita's own, bending down so that Rita could only hear what she said.
"This isn't you, Rita. You're not yourself. This is the Toymaker who's done this to you. You're stronger than this. Fight him, Rita, you can defeat him. Please, Rita, don't make me hurt you any more than I have already done."

"ARGH!" Rita snarled as she struggled against the hand holding her against a wall. Rita was a smaller person and with such a big hand holding her up, she couldnt escape.
"I dont know what your talking about!" she growled at Moon and she tried to swing her staff but Moon swiftly kicked it out of her grasp. Rita started to convulse violently. Her body jerked back and forth as her true self was fighting the Toymaker that was controlling her. Writhing, she had tears leak from her eyes and she let out a bloodcurling shriek.
"You cant win!" a dark voice said emitting from Rita. It was of the Toymaker. "You shall never prevail..."
Rita's pupils were pinpoints and all of a sudden she went limp in the big hand's clutches with a sigh. She was free.

A small smile of relief played over Moon's lips. She let Rita down to the ground gently, releasing her from the grip of the claw. "Welcome back, Rita," she said, offering a hand to Rita, and helping her to her feet.
A wave of relief washed over Moon as she fully realised what had happened. The Toymaker had released Rita, and she was now free. Well, it would appear so, Moon thought to herself. She didn't trust the Toymaker as far as she could throw him, actually, that was wrong, she could trust the Toymaker less than how far she could throw him, because she was sure she could throw the Toymaker a decent distance.
"C'mon Rita, the fighting's over. Let's go back to our team."

Shadow eyed Rita with curious eyes. Was she really freed of it? How could she be free of such a spell if...if he wasn't? He gritted his teeth. He was being forced to do this. Shadow watched as the girls continued on. The fight was over. Shadow sighed and started to follow.
The next thing he knew, he was on the floor clutching his head. He groaned, more like moaned in pain as he fell.
You think I don't know what you're planning? Just wait and see.... came the voice in his helmet.
Shadow blinked twice as the pain finally dissolving. Shadow took the chance and looked up to find everyone staring down around him. What, he was the center of attention now? What had happened? He wasn't sure.
Shadow stood up "What?!" he said his face looking as if nothing had happened. He couldn't tell anyone that the Toymaker was onto them, it would make everything even worse. The Toymaker may know his plans, but he didn't know Moons or the rest of the teams.
Shadow couldn't help but glance at Moon before allowing his eyes to focus on something else. Hopefully she'd understand his hint of him avoiding her, that the Toymaker knew something they didn't.

Moon nodded understandingly when Shadow looked at her. She knew what his momentary glance meant. She knew that he had to avoid her, but she didn't want to be avoided. However, she knew that she would have to, in order to keep the team safe.
Smiling ever so slightly to herself, she went to Shadow's side and said to the rest of the team, "Shadow just gets terrible migraines from playing video games for too long. That's why he was writhing in pain; he gets them very quickly." She stifled a grin at the look on Shadow's face and stayed by his side. She wasn't going to leave her friend, she decided. After all, united we stand, divided we fall...

Shadow couldn't help but smile at her. Moon was literally everything he always wanted to be. Thats why she was Moon. He turned around looked at the area combing his hand through his hair "R-right." he said his head still hurting every so painfully. "We have to move on." he turned to them all "Come on now." he said gesturing them towards the next level. They all knew where they were headed, just he acted like the guide because the next level...someone had to be left behind, well, he didn't tell anyone that part. Now that they had Rita he had gotten the team together, two more levels. Thats it. Two more levels.

If Moon could allow herself to grin, she would, but as it was she'd already shown much more emotion in the last twenty-four hours than she would ever allow herself to show in a year. What's up with that? she asked herself, puzzled. What's made me change like that? Mentally, she shrugged. Deep down, she knew why she was like that, but she didn't want to admit it, even though it was obvious.
As the small group walked onwards to the gate to the penultimate level, she looked down at her scuffed Converses, thinking.
Lost deep in her thoughts, Moon didn't notice what was happening around them, and before she knew it, the group had gone much further than she had realised. Her watch began beeping on her wrist and she looked down at it to see that for them it was much later than midnight in real time.
"Guys, I know we have a deadline to meet in saving the world and all that, but we can't keep going on like this if we don't get a chance to sleep, or at the very least to rest and eat. I, for one, won't go any further until we've had a brief respite from our mission." Moon said as she sat down on the computer-generated ground and removed her hat, ruffling her short, untidy mop of hair.
Something was nagging at the back of her mind. The N had told her something in private after the briefing for the mission, and it was something important about the penultimate level. There was something that she had to do, but she couldn't for the life of her remember what it was. She knew that in the Toymaker's original game, one player in the team would have to be left behind or sacrificed, but she was sure that that was no longer a apart of the game...
I'm sure of it. She told herself strongly. Aren't I?

"Moon." Rita hissed, tugging on Moon's sleeve. "I have to talk to you. Alone." she whispered, whipping her head around to make sure the others were still getting ready to go to bed. Pulling Moon aside, Rita took a deep breath.
"Leave me behind." she said, and quickly dismissed the horrified look that passed Moon's face. "I know all about this game. Believe it or not, i did my research. But what is more important is that I know what the Toymaker has in store and i need to go and warn everybody. Especially N." Rita sighed.
"You all have been doing great without me.... i think you can go a little further. Trust me... i know what i am doing."

Shadow could hear every word of the two. He sighed. Only if they understood that in order for them to win they needed both a speedy player, and a strong plater and thats both Moon and Rita. Plus, he was just a glitch in the game right? He moved out of the shadows and, accidentally scared the two. "Look." he started in a whisper. The toymaker was off for now...if not..oh well. "Look girls. I-I'm the glitch and you all know it." he looked at Moon "You know what he thinks of me. You two have done so much so far, all of you." his hands were in fists. "And all I've been was a pain in the rear end. I owe it to all of you." he gritted his teeth now "getting back at the Toymaker is everything I've always wanted." he looked at them in the eyes "I want to do this. I need to do this." he was serious about this.
He sighed and turned around "You guys don't have a choice anymore. I'm the only one who can do it. I made a promise to you all that I was going to make sure each and every one of you returns without a hair missing." he nodded "You can't change my mind." and that was the end of the discussion. He was going to do it.

"Do what?!" Rita exclaimed indignantly. "If you leave the game, the only thing you will be doing is warning the others. If you want to shut down your dad so bad then you have to know that the only place to do that is at the end of this game in the game. I need to get out anyways. I have half a life left and i wont be much use to you all anyways. The Toymaker drained both my physical and mental energy when he captured me. Stop arguing. You will be best here, and i think Moon would prefer you here too."
Rita stuck out her chin and put her foot on the ground with a definite nod. She was not budging on this decision.

Shadow shook his head laughing "its not that kind of leaving. You don't leave the game. You're stuck in it, you'll be in a coma outside of the game. The toymaker will need me for something else so he could fix me back, but for anyone else he'll kill, leaving them like that." he sighed. "I don't want any of you left behind. Its my whole fault were here anyway." he looked at Moon "come on, you know yourself that I'm the only one that can do this...and we only have a few minutes before the Toymaker gets us back live. We don't need to decide, Decision is made. You guys have to finish the game and help N." he said his hands in fists now. "Please. Let me do something right for once."

Moon's eyes filled with tears when the two were convincing themselves and herself that they were going to be the ones to leave the game. "Guys, you can't leave. I'm not sure why, but I have a nagging feeling the back of my mind that the N told me I had to. I don't know why I'm not sure about it, but this feeling is so strong that I know it is right. You guys can't leave the game. None of us can leave the game, unless I am taken out of it to talk to the Toymaker. This is what I have to do. I've got half a life left with a problem in my back, no matter what is going to happen here, I'm not going to be of use. The final level needs a strong player and a speedy player. That's you two. I have to do what I have to do."
The cyber-world around the group glitched momentarily and Moon knew that the Toymaker was watching their every move, and knew what was going to happen. "Guys, I have to go..." she said, a tear spilling over from her right eye and trickling slowly down her cheek. She swallowed down the lump in her throat.
She looked deep into Shadow's eyes and slowly went up to him. A black, shadowy hand came out of a rip in the Cyber-world and slowly went to encircle Moon. "I'll see you soon," she said, smiling.
Slowly, she cupped his face in her hands and slowly, tenderly, she kissed him softly on the lips, before being torn away from him by the hand.
"Switch off the game, guys, and I'll see you on the other side," she whispered softly as another tear trickled down her cheek.

Shock rushed through Shadow. He had frozen in the spot. The tears from her eyes, the touch of her hand, the kiss on his lips. His hands were clenched in fists. She was gone. Shadow stood there, staring into the empty space that Moon was standing only but a second ago. It was as if the whole world stopped around him. Everything else was moving, but him. He stood still unsure of what to do next.
He was now the soul leader of the team. He turned and faced everyone, his face as stern as ever. Frowning he announced "Lets go. One last level." at first that was all he was going to say. He didn't think he was needed to say anymore, but he looked at everyone else. Their faces pale and sorrow, they looked as he felt. He sighed "Look, if we give up now and don't win this game, then everything that Moon has done was for nothing. She brought us here, she lead us, she showed us the way, it was all her idea of how to win. She even returned Rita back to us! We need to win this thing. For Moon." he gulped hard. The only escape of his boxed world had just disappeared, vanished, to never return.
He looked back up at everyone else. "now, lets get going." he nodded at everyone as they all started to head towards the gates to level 5."
He looked up at the sky of the game. Shadow was going to finish this game, for her.

Moon woke up to find herself in a white room that seemed to go on forever. There was no difference between the ceiling, or was it the sky?, and the ground. She got to her feet, every breath that she exhaled echoed thousands of times in the space and every sound she made was magnified tenfold. The whiteness of the room and the light made Moon's eyes hurt and her head spin, and she felt dizzy.
With a dull thud that was made thousands of times louder by the eerie acoustics of the area, Moon sat back down, head in hands, trying to work out where she was. She knew that she had been taken by the Toymaker from the game, and that she had left her team mates behind.
In a flash of darkness that sent her senses flying off balance, a figure appeared next to her, sat in a leather revolving chair. It was the Toymaker.
"Welcome, Agent Moon, to a real hell," he said, gesturing to the emptiness surrounding them. "This is the cyber-prison that your leader, 'The N' as you call her, imprisoned me within. I have endured years in this prison and now, I shall have my revenge." he said coolly, his icy voice echoing menacingly. "As we speak, my computers are breaking through the last defences of the CB computer system and will infiltrate all of the secrets contained within. Not only am I taking over through the network, but The N is now under my complete control." The Toymaker laughed evilly and watched as Moon took it all in, not once cracking under the tension that he was putting forward.

"It's a bluff, Toymaker. I know that you're lying. I can see it in your eyes." she said coolly.

"Oh really?" he sneered at her. Well, take a look at what I am putting your friends through right now and tell me that I am bluffing," he said as a screen showed her friends all being destroyed, mercilessly, by the Toymaker's in-game minions. She saw Rita being pummelled and Lexi being beaten to the ground, gasping for breath.
Worst of all, she saw Shadow, watching it all, laughing and grinning from ear to ear as a gorgeous girl waltzed up to him and snogged him.

Moon's instincts told her that this was fake, but the images were so heart-breaking for her that she broke down. The Toymaker eyed her contemptuously, sneering as he did so.

"I'll leave you here to mull over your thoughts, shall I?" he said to her as he disappeared with another dark flash.

"Shadow..." Moon whispered, her voice cracking as she broke down into tears.

Meanwhile....

There was a girl that waltzed up to Shadow, she hadn't snogged him, but she was there, standing. Shadow was ready for this. It was called the illusion level. The final and last level of the game. It created illusions, a different one for each person, representing each and everyone's fear. Right now, Shadow was only thinking of Moon, so his fear was another person coming into his life. He wasn't willing to, it wasn't a strong fear therefore the girl poof-ed away. Shadow turned to the others "We have to overcome our fears, it will take apart our brain and figure each and every little tiny thing we're afraid of. Don't give in."
He looked back to the space that the "other girl" took and found himself staring at the tall dark figure of the Toymaker, his father. Shadow gritted his teeth. It's an illusion, it's an illusion he kept repeating to himself.

Moon sobbed quietly to herself in the isolation of the endless room; her prison. The Toymaker was torturing her by leaving her with these visions of pain that he had created for her. She tried to close her eyes and block the visions from her brain, but they were there, imprinted on the retinas of her eyes, and the one vision that would not go away was the girl who was snogging Shadow.
Her ears pricked as she heard a faint sound in the otherwise silent room. It was screens being turned on. She could hear the high-pitched whine that it threw off as the screens came to life. She opened her eyes and saw the image of Shadow, face down on the ground, his body convulsing violently. The image surrounded her and it sickened Moon.
The Toymaker was playing with her mind. That was what the rational side of Moon reasoned, but the side of Moon that was far more powerful at the moment was her emotions. They told her that the Toymaker was practically destroying Shadow and she cried all the more for it.

"Son, how could you rebel against me? I took you in! I let you live! I could have thrown you out with your mother when she ran off! I taught you everything you know! And what do you do? You leave, rebel..against me your own father! How do you think that makes me feel?" came the voice of the Toymaker.
Shadow shook his head "Leave me alone. The reason why I do things are for justice and my own concern. So what! Where is Moon! I want her back."
The Toymaker laughed Moon? Oh...right Agent Moon, the girl of yours that you've loved since you were little. I remember her now. Hm...I don't think I can give her back. I needed someone to take over my prison for me while I'm gone."
Shadow's eyes grew wide "You thew her in the prison!" he yelled his hands in big fists now ready to hit the Toymaker "No. I won't let her be there! You go back! Toymaker!"
The Toymaker laughed again. Toymaker? Thats the name you call me? I thought Father was more...fitting, after all you knew I was suppose to take you and not that stupid little agent. Yet, I did you a favor. I let you live.
Shadow shook his head "No no no no no. Give her back. I'll go. Just-" he stopped. The Toymaker was still in the prison with Moon. This wasn't the Toymaker. A dark shadow engulfed his face and the image of the Toymaker disappeared. Shadow turned around to everyone else. "You guys, the only thing left to do after you conquer your fears is turn the switch..." he had to hurry up before another fear would show up. "I need to make sure Moon gets back...there might be-" he was too late, the next image popped up in front of him. The Toymaker again, this time it punched him in the stomach. Shadow fell to the ground groaning in pain....is it really the Toymaker this time?

Moon was shouting herself hoarse as she yelled at the screens, trying to get Shadow to hear her. All rational thought had abandoned her in this terrible prison and Moon was sure that if she was in there too long, she would soon lose her sanity.
She saw the Toymaker materialise in front of Shadow and punch him square in the stomach. She pounded the wall, or what she thought was the wall, of her prison, trying to find some way out, yelling the whole time.
"TOYMAKER! RELEASE ME FROM THIS PRISON!" she yelled. She continued to see the false visions on the screens but her rational thought was returning to her as she focused on one thing. Shadow.

Shadow coughed, trying to get up, but this time he was kicked. "You stupid excuse of a son. You think I'm still in that prison. I locked her in there. This is me. The real me." Shadow coughed again as he was flat on his stomach again. Was this really the Toymaker. "Smile Shadow." he said "Smile, say Father, I'm sorry, I'll join you again, worship you."
Shadow used his fists to help him up on his knees again only to be pushed back to the ground. "Toymaker, let her go..." he managed to say from his face being pushed to the ground.
The Toymaker laughed "no no, I just need your little friends to switch the button, you see the winner of the game doesn't only just stop the game, it releases me to the free world, leaving your Moon stuck here."
Shadow winced as he was kicked again and all he could do was listen to the Toymaker ramble. "See my son, you're a rebel. A traitor. I can't ever trust you again. How do you expect me to let you live. You have no where to go. I might as well end your pathetic life here." Shadow was picked up by the collar and thrown against the wall. Why couldn't Shadow find his strength to fight?
Shadow then heard something...someone...He smiled, it was a very faint voice, but he could feel her. He knew she was still alive...he'd do this for her.
Shadow blinked finding himself surrounded by shadows. He never used his game trick, but it combo was shadows. The next thing the Toymaker knew, Shadow had disappeared completely into the shadows of the game.
Standing there, Shadow knew his motive. He needed to free Moon before the team pulld the switch.

Moon sat down heavily on the ground, thinking hard, concentrating her thoughts onto solving the situation at hand. Here she could see the Toymaker beating up Shadow, but she knew that something wasn't being shown to her. She knew that the Toymaker was also having his fair share of beating from Shadow.
"Come on Shadow, you're doing great, beat up the Toymaker. I know you can," she said out loud, hoping that, somehow, Shadow would hear it.
She fiddled with her watch on her wrist and tapped it without thinking when she heard a beeping and a screen opened up on her watch. On it she could see the havoc that was being wreaked at CB. This didn't do as the Toymaker had planned. It merely strengthened her resolve.
She went into a meditative position and focused her thoughts, concentrating on a method of getting out of here.

That was when a thought struck her. The Toymaker's world was controlled by a computer. It was computer generated. So, in theory, if Moon could break her way out of her cyber prison, she would find herself within the Toymaker's lair, and if that was the case, all she needed to do was find the computer responsible for the game and shut it down, or merely reprogram it. And that wouldn't be at all difficult for a prodigious hacker, such as herself. Now, the only thing to do was to get out of the cyber-prison. To her, it looked as though it was merely a box created in a program that used certain formats of encoding. Speaking clearly into her watch, she said the words, "Open text format." Her watch then changed her voice into the Toymaker's and replayed it back at her, into the empty prison.

A large encoder box popped up out of no-where on the screen and Moon scrolled through it until she found something that she was able to change. All she had to do was add a back door to the program. Pressing the red x in the corner of the pop-up, she turned to see a back door materialise in her prison. Smirking, she opened it and walked out into the Toymaker's lair.

She brought her watch up to her mouth and spoke clearly into it, sending a message to Shadow. "Shadow, I'm out of the cyber-prison and have managed to infiltrate the Toymaker's lair. Keep him busy while I find his computer and shut this program down in the unconventional way," she said, a light, mischievous tone creeping in when she said the word 'unconventional'.

Shadow smirked as he got the message. He laughed at the thought of Moon getting out of the cyber prison on her own, he'd have to ask her how she did it later...if there was a later.
Shadow looked around the corner to see that the Toymaker was still looking for him. Dads were just so pathetic sometimes. Shadow jumped out. "Hey dad!" he yelled catching the Toymaker's attention "Tell me, I've always wanted to know what happened to mom." that for sure caught his attention.
The Toymaker gave him a face. "Your mother? I've told you the story a hundred times, she left us, and out of all times..now you ask again?" Shadow smirked, distraction- check!
"Ya, I mean, after all, nows the best time for us to have some, what do they call it...father son bonding time?" he chuckled, distracting a man he's known all his life was easier then he thought, even if he was a mad evil...guy?
The Toymaker laughed "Well now, bonding you say? So you've decided to return to me?" at this it was Shadow's turn to laugh. "back to what? Hell hole?"
The Toymaker frowned at that "oh so thats what you call someone who brought you up and took care of you?"
Shadow tilted his head in thought"Oh, I thought that was what all the Nannies did for me guess thats what you call 'caring for your son' right?"
With that...Shadow continue to distract the Toymaker, playing hiding-go-seek, -doing what Shadow does best, hiding in the Shadows, reappearing, distracting, hiding again...and later on will come the final blow.
Now all that was left is for Moon to get here...
hurry up Moon... he thought to himself. They didn't have that much time left before the Toymaker would understand their plan.

Moon sprinted down the corridors of the Toymaker's lair, grateful of the fact that there were handy "you are here" maps that helped her find her way. Evidently, the Toymaker had made them for his cyber-selves that he created to prevent himself from being the sad, lonely little man that he truly was.

She barged into his control-centre, quickly taking out the anti-virus security and extinguishing the firewall with a handy-dandy fire-extinguisher that she had picked up on the way. Now, the only thing she had to do was deal with the Anti-Spyware. It didn't take long to disable that, for all she had to do was discard her fedora hat and spy-glasses and she was admitted as a downloaded file. It was all so easy. Too easy Moon thought to herself as she waltzed over to the main control panel where she called up the computer's main screen.

The problem here was that she had to enter a password. Taking a small extendable lead from her spy-watch, she plugged it into a port on the control panel and started to tap away at the watch's mini computer screen, hacking the keystroke file of the password, gaining access to the Toymaker's files.

Calling up a search-box, she keyed in the phrase, "De-activate Toymaker motion controls", pressing enter. She then saw on the surveillance cam screens that the Toymaker now could no longer move. Into her watch, she spoke once more to Shadow. "Just tell me when you want me to shut the thing down. The Toymaker's motions are out of commission, so you have all the time in the world to make him regret everything."

Shadow looked at the Toymaker unsure what to do now. The Toymaker was done with. He looked at his Father for the first time and stared. What...he could do anything to the guy now, pay him back for all the years of what he did to him. He sighed "no...Moon just come back, I need you over here, we need to get out of here, shut it down." he said.
He looked back at the Toymaker and stared as he waited for Moon, to end it all. It would finally be over. Finally the day would come. Finally he would be in control of his own life.

Moon sighed. She'd been really excited for some sort of final showdown. But, oh well. It seemed that that was not going to be the case... this time. Moon inserted a cable into the port of the computer and typed in one last command for the computer: to shut down in 1 minute. With that, Moon used the Toymaker's teleportation system to materialise next to Shadow.

A red light was flashing wildly and a voice over the intercom was counting off the seconds until the game was shut down. Moon opened the exit portal, motioning for the rest of their team to go through. She then went to Shadow's side. "You don't have to leave him here, you know. Cyberspace is the loneliest prison and the Toymaker has gone through so many years of this torturous place. If we take him out into the real world, he'll at least have the company of real people in prison..."

Moon was too kind for her own good sometimes. She knew that if they didn't get out of the game within the next 20 seconds, they would be trapped forever in CyberSpace, and Moon couldn't stand that. Not in the slightest.

Shadow looked from Moon to the Toymaker, they didn't have that much time left. He gulped and frowned at the man that ruined his life. He looked back at Moon. "Lets take him with us. The N will know what to do with him." he frowned and wouldn't dare look back at the Toymaker. "Lets get out of here." he muttered. This was a lot harder then he thought. He looked at the crew, everyone was out, just him Moon and the Toymaker were left and they only had a few seconds left before they were trapped forever and he wasn't in the mood for the Toymaker's whining.

"Ok, you go hold the gate open and I'll get him out," Moon said as she clamped a set of spy-issue handcuffs around the Toymaker's hands and then around his ankles so he couldn't kick out. Moon was impressively strong for age, even though she didn't look it, and so was often underestimated, solely for the reason that she was a girl.

Going to the Toymaker's side, she lifted him onto her shoulders, holding onto his legs on one shoulder and holding onto his arms on the other side. "Don't squirm, Toymaker, or I'll drop you and you'll be trapped in this desolate wasteland of a prison for the rest of your existence," she said through clenched teeth. Like her, the Toymaker wasn't all he appeared. He looked to be scrawny and thin, but in reality he was quite heavy.

Moon walked towards the gate with ten seconds to get through. "C'mon Shadow, we're getting out of here!" she yelled as she picked up her pace towards the gate. Together, Shadow and Moon with their prisoner, walked through the exit portal, leaving the game to shut down behind them.

All of a sudden, they were exiting the game and emerged into the gadgetry department of the CB Spy HQ. The N was waiting there for them, along with the rest of the spy team from the mission. "It's good to see you back, Agents Moon and Shadow," The N said to them as they blinked wildly, trying to get to grips with being back in the real world.

Moon dropped the Toymaker at The N's feet. "I think this one needs to be checked over several times. I think his brain's a little scrambled after having been trapped in CyberSpace for so long."

Shadow fell out of the portal and collapsed to his knees. He took a deep breath and stood up again. Sighing, he walked passed everyone, the Toymaker, and even Moon. He couldn't deal with this right now, his brain felt as if it were going to explode. The next thing he knows his arms are behind his back and he's being cuffed. Shadow's eyes grew wide, but he didn't fight back, it was obvious that this was bound to happen. Shadow heard a ruffled laugh from the Toymaker, he was watching then. Shadow didn't even look up, but his friends that he relayed...that they trusted once before...were now taking him away to lock him up. So maybe in the end he was just like his father?
At least Moon and the rest of the team are safe.
With that, they took him away.

"Wait! Stop!" Moon called out to the agents who were taking Shadow away. Her hand went immediately to her slingshot in its holster, taking up a shock-ball and loading the slingshot. "Why are you carrying him away? He's done nothing wrong. He saved us. Let him go."

When the agents did not move to release Shadow, Moon brought the slingshot up to arm level, stretching back the elastic as far as it would go. Everyone in the agency knew of Moon's prodigious catapult skill, and so they would avoid any unnecessary contact with Moon when armed with her slingshot. "I am the N's second-in-command, and, unless the order came directly from the N, you must tell me when I ask you why you are taking Shadow away."

Moon's grey eyes flashed dangerously, taking on the hard quality of steel. The room was so silent that you could hear a pin drop. No one dared to breathe. "If you're going to take him away to lock him up, you have to at least tell me why."

Shadow looked up and she was glowing. Moon was literally glow to him. He smiled at her and shook his head that he should have known Moon wouldn't go down without a fight. The two holding him looked from one to the other. "We can't risk having him free or part of the agency. One, he knows too much." said the first. The second finished off "and two, he's a potential threat of the possibility of him betraying again." the two shrugged and looked over at The N.
Shadow sighed, the two had a point, how were they to know if he was going to betray them again or not. They were completely right. Plus, he'd have traitor placed on his forehead forever anyway. He looked back up at Moon thinking whether or not he should invite her for dinner in his cell.

Moon's grip on the slingshot visibly tightened, an obvious sign that she was not happy with the situation. Her mind was in turmoil. What the agents had said made perfect sense, coming from the professional side of the agency. There was sufficient evidence to back up what they were saying. However, Moon had reason to trust Shadow and was not going to let him go without doing all she could.

"Logically, you are speaking the truth, and all the facts are there to support such claims." Moon conceded, her body-language showing that Moon was resisting defeat. "However," she said, lowering and holstering the slingshot. "I also have sufficient evidence to prove that Shadow won't abandon and is worthy to join CB. Number one," Moon said, beginning to pace predatorily. "Although Shadow's initial loyalty was to the Toymaker for reasons that I shall not explain, he saw the wrong in his actions and switched to our side, wanting to defeat the Toymaker." Moon turned sharply on this point, her converses squeaking loudly on the polished floor. "Secondly," she said, removing her Fedora and placing it on the table. "Shadow's initial assignment was sabotage, namely in trapping us in the game. Yet, when he joined us, he switched what he was meant to do and sabotaged the Toymaker, aiding us in our mission. And thirdly," Moon added, sitting down in a control chair, dangling her legs over the arm and taking a bite of an apple, staring the agents down with steely eyes. "Shadow has the skills to be a fantastic Agent of CB. He is fiercely loyal to the side that he has chosen, he is a fantastic under-cover and field agent, and the agency would be benefiting from his induction. Now, you would not want to be the two buffoons responsible for losing one of the agency's best spies?" Moon finished, glaring at the two older agents.

"Now, you heard me earlier. Let. Him. Go."

Shadow looked up and shrugged off the two agents. "sorry guys," he winked and chuckled. He looked at Moon and sighed. "Now, you wouldn't normally hear this from Moon" he sighed. Shadow found himself looking only at Moon now and raised an eyebrow at her. "Out of all people you're here to defend me? I mean...what if they are all right?" he asked questioning as everyone tensed. His face then loosened and he smiled "but I'm loyal to The N and only the N...well and Moon." he nodded his head at her "Thank you...so much for everything. You are the one who made me realize that I have a choice in everything I do." he took a deep breath and held her hands. "And without you around, I guess they wouldn't have an agent like me around." he sighed and combed a hand through his hair, but realized that everyone was watching. His face went a deep red and now he wasn't sure what to say anymore.

Moon smiled a rare, shy smile that none of the agents in CB had ever seen before. She, too, was aware of the audience to their moment, but, for now, she only had eyes and ears for Shadow. In the way that they had first done a long time ago in the game (or so it had seemed to them, after all, Game time passes differently from real time), Moon entwined her fingers with Shadow's.

"And without you around, Shadow, I wouldn't be here right now and I wouldn't be the way I am now. Thank you, Shadow," Moon said quietly, hugging Shadow tightly and kissing him shyly on his cheek as she hugged him, not wanting to draw attention to it whilst all the other agents watched. "I love you," she whispered in his ear.

Shadow went red at the kiss but didn't refuse it. He even entwined his fingers with hers as well. He pulled her closer from her hug and smiled. "I love you too." he whispered in her ear as well. He looked up "Well then, I guess show is over for you all." he smirked at Moon and he started to pull her away from the crowd. "I have somewhere I want to show you...I think you'll like it." he smirked as everyone stared at them, but he didn't care anymore.
Moon was all he cared about now. He could even hear his Father grunt somewhere back there, but he didn't care about anyone else at the moment. Just him and Moon.

Moon smiled shyly and followed Shadow out of the room, her hand still in his, as he led her to what he wanted to show her. She was glad that they were no longer in the room full of Agents, as she was now faintly blushing; something that very few agents in CB had ever seen her doing.

It was like being in a weird, surreal dream. They had been in the game for less than twelve hours, but it felt like so much longer than that. It was weird. Twelve hours before, they had merely been best friends, but now they were... more than that. Another shy smile crept over Moon's lips as she thought about that. It was difficult for her to believe.

"Where are you taking me, Shadow?" she asked, smiling, holding his hand tightly.

Shadow glanced back at her as she had squeezed his hand and asked her where he was taking her. He smiled at her and stopped turning to face her. He gulped hard and looked at her, her gorgeous face. He smiled again. "Somewhere...somewhere special." he smirked and turned and started to pull her towards a big tree. The tree was tall and held many memories. He looked back at Moon and smiled hoping she'd remember. This was the tree where they had met. He was sitting on the branch avoiding everyone else by staying the shadows but then she came along and became his friend. He remembered it so clearly. Plus, the best part about it...the sun was starting to set and the sunset was gorgeous.
Shadow looked at the tree then back at her. "This is where...where I first met you." he smiled at her taking a step closer to her.

Moon smiled as soon as she saw the tree. She could never forget this tree. The two had met in the branches of this tree so many years ago, when they were kids. Even then Shadow had been a bit antisocial and Moon, being the chatty thing she had been, had climbed up to pester him into smiling. It was one of her favourite memories.

She cuddled close to Shadow in the sunset, keeping close to him, his warmth felt so comforting and safe. It was getting cold out as the sun's warmth left them, and it made Moon feel all the more safer to be with Shadow like this.

Gently she pulled away from the hug and took his hand. "Come..." she said as she led him up into the tree, up right into the high boughs. When she reached one of the highest branches, she climbed along the branch and sat on it, her legs dangling down over the side. "To be precise, this is where I met you," she said with a shy smile.

He smirked and followed her up the tree. Sitting down next to her he smiled at her comment. Nodding he agreed with her.
He moved closer to her and, as he turned bright red, he leaned forward and kissed her.
Blushing he moved back and combed a hand through her hair and looked up at the sunset.
He looked down and saw once again that they had attracted a crowd. Sighing Shadow chuckled and kissed her cheek. "come on, we have a party to attend to."
So many memories left behind, so many memories to remember, and many more to create. He smiled at the thought especially since Moon would be in many of them.

Moon grinned. She loved parties. She never really went to them when she was younger and she loved going crazy with her friends and comrades of CB. "Right then," she said, leaping off the branch and catching hold of another branch as she fell through the air, down towards the ground. Swinging around branches and flipping in mid-air, Moon wooped with delight. She had always loved gymnastics and being a Spy, she got to put it all into practise in a practical manner. She was glad to know that her many hours in-game hadn't taken their toll on her.

"Come on, slowpoke!" Moon yelled up to Shadow who was still in the uppermost branches of the tree. "As you said, we have a party to go to!"

He watched her in awe. Shadow smirked shaking his head "hey...who you calling slowpoke?!" he called after her as he followed her. Gymnastics was pretty easy, well for him, its always been in his training. Following her he landed right behind her he wrapped his arms around her and kissed her on the cheek from behind. "Hey, I love you." he whispered in her ear before letting go, taking her hand, and taking her towards the party room. He smirked at her. "We'll have fun, I think they have cake." he said winking at her.

"Yay! Cake!" Moon said, clapping her hands happily. She was acting quite differently from the cold, serious Moon that everyone knew, quite simply because she was with her best friend. To most people it would be weird to see Moon smiling and laughing like she was, but with Shadow this was a regular occurrence.

Slipping her small hand into his larger hand, Moon looked up at Shadow, eyes sparkling. She was at her happiest that she had been in a long time. "I love you too, Shadow."

Without any more speaking, they opened the door and went in to the room with party. Moon grinned when she saw the bright, flashing lights and heard the loud, pumping music. This was just her sort of shindig.

Rita, who was fully recovered from her experience with the Toymaker was feeling great and munching on a well-deserved piece of cake. The music was blasting, the people were dancing and having a great time, and everyone seemed completely content. Rita especially felt completely happy. Though, she would never shake off the horrible feeling of being trapped and brainwashed, she knew that she was safe now and everything would go back to normal. Well.... most things. Rita smirked when she saw Moon and Shadow walk in looking lovey-dovey. Dashing over at 'Dash'-Speed, Rita grabbed Shadow's hand and winked at Moon.
"You owe me a dance, James." she giggled at the grumbles she got by using his real name. "I hope you can be parted from your precious Gallitea for a couple of minutes."

Shadow wasn't sure what to say to Rita since she had used his real name. No one ever used his real name. He smiled slightly and quickly glanced back at Moon and shrugged as Rita dragged him away. James, he agreed it would be best to use his real name once in a while, dragged his eyes away from Moon and looked at Rita. He chuckled and raised an eyebrow at her "well now...where are we headed to?" he asked curiously knowing that Rita was full of surprises since...well...she was Rita.
