Gotham City. Metropolis. New York. Coast City.
What do all these Cities have in common? Well, to give you a clue, in order of cities: Batman, Superman, Spiderman, The Green Lantern.
Superheroes. Something that every thriving City that's buzzing with a hive of villains and baddies has in common. Superheroes. But where do these Superheroes come from?
SuperHero High School. That's where they come from.
However, that is also where some of the most nefarious villains come from too. Bullies and Underdogs of SuperHero High.
Students at SuperHero high have powers. Some got them from being dumped in a vat of toxic waste, others by being bitten by radioactive bugs and some people (the lucky ones) have SuperHero parents. Whatever the reason, these teens go to SuperHero high from the age of 14 upwards and are taught in the arts of SuperHero-ness. Lessons range from controlling of powers, the quick changes needed to get into the SuperHero outfit and, most of all, how to save a citizen in need.
So, which will you be? A Hero, or a Villain?

Name: Wilhemina Owell Yes, I am using this character again, I just love her name :D
Nickname: Bill
Gender: Female
Age: 14
SuperHero/Villain name: TerraShock
Power: Elemental Control, favourite Elements of control: Earth and Lightning ((yes, I consider Lightning an Element))
Villain or Hero: Hero
Appearance: Average height with strong limbs of an Athlete. She has short, black hair which always stands on end, due to Static Electricity, and green eyes. Her skin is a deep tan, and her cheeks are covered in freckles from spending a lot of time in the sun in the summer. Her hands are strong instrumentalist hands and bear many scars from combat training with her two older twin brothers who both graduated the year before her.
Personality: Bill is a very determined girl who has always been in the shadows of her older brothers and is determined to shine at SuperHero high. She is very fun-loving and kind-hearted, but she can be ice-cold should the situation demand it.
How they got their power: Unlike her brothers, who inherited their shapeshifting from her parents, Bill was accidentally revealed to fumes from a sulphur field and had powers ever since.
Weakness: Tin foil. Odd as it is, but Tin foil is her primary weakness. It emits a sonic wavelength which tampers with her powers.

Name: Rose Light
Nickname: Rosie
Gender: Female
Age: 14
SuperHero/Villain name: Miss-red
Power: Light (including traveling at the speed of light)
Villain or Hero: Hero
Appearance: Very pale skin which appears to glow against her curly hair (which is red-rose coloured), most normal humans are very wary and quite frightened of her.
Personality: Very friendly and quite naive, she is a very smart girl due to her parents never letting her out the house unless it was winter and they could cover her up in layers of clothes.
How they got their power: Whilst experimenting with her best friend at the age of 7 a horrible explosion of light happened. It sucked into Rose, changing her appearance and her genes. No one knows what happened to the friend...
Weakness: The sun weakens Rose considerably (another reason her parents kept her locked up)

((I remember Wilhemina!! XD))
Name: Cornelia Landy
Nickname: Corny
Gender: Female
Age: 15
SuperHero/Villain name: Galo (Pronounced Gah-loh)
Power: She glows in the dark
Villain or Hero: she hasn't decided yet
Appearance: straight, dirty blonde hair, down to her shoulders, brown eyes. She used to wear a lot of yellow, but she felt it gave her the apearance of some human-sized glo-stik, so she avoids it if she can.
Personality: Corny is quite independant, and hardly speaks to anyone unless it is to say something sarcastic. She feels her power is quite stupid, and is embarrased, as both her parents have actual powers, and tends to ignore most people, as she is kind of jealous of them having 'normal' and 'cool' powers.
How they got their power: She and her friend were messing about in their physics class with a small amount of radioactive substances when the teacher wasn't looking, and the radioactivity had a funny effect on Corny. Both her parents are superheroes, and they decided that glowing was better than no power, ad sent her to hero school.
Weakness: Aluminium. As aluminium can block beta particles, it has some form of effect on her. ((see... why do I remember this NOW, and not in my physics exam earlier!?))

Gender: male
Age: 16

On top of that, he wears black clothing, making Amaury look quite sinister.

His parents, in attempt to make him 'special' dumped him in a pit of toxic waste and when they saw that nothing immediatly happened, they got a bug to bite him, and that made his attitude run rebellious and sour. Name: Alicia Wylon
Nickname: Alice or Ali
Gender: Female (I'm attempting to write a good girl character though I'm a girl too...)
Age: 14
Superhero/villain name: PhoenixWing
Power: Flying & wind abilities (includes storms and manipulating things with gusts of wind) ; wings are extendible
Hero/ Villain: Hero
Appearance: Light brown hair, pale skin & lips, piercing green eyes that turn emerald green when using powers, average build, somewhat tall, always wear jeans with specially designed coloured blouse (rolled up sleeves and slits for her wings), and wears half-rimmed glasses when reading
Personality: Alicia is very confident, independent, and sophisticated. She is highly intelligent and curious. She is usually an easy-going person, but sometimes she can be really serious. Alicia has a lot of courage and is very persevering/determined, but once in a blue moon she can't help feeling vulnerable and lonely, as she understands that no one is perfect. She has a firm sense of justice. She hopes to be a lawyer for her main job other than participating in rescue missions.
How they got their power: Her parents (storm ability & speed ability) both were killed on a rescue mission when she was an infant. Alicia and her brother Alex (Speed/high jump ability and 2 years older) were climbing a steep mountain with their godparents (close friends of their parents) when both of them slipped and fell through the air. Alicia was stimulated into developing her wings and wind abilities, which helped to save both of their lives. Ever since, she has been successfully coping with her abnormality with her only living blood relative, her brother.
Weakness:Alicia's ability functions the least effectively, when there is a lot of water around her. When this happens, she can still fly, but she needs to use a lot of energy to use her wind abilities. Precipitation (especiallly acid precip.) is tolerable but she gets irritated until it stops. She cannot swim at all and is claustrophobic.

((I can't take it with all the good guys...its about time we had some real villains.))
Name: Alexandria Rubin
Nickname: Alex ((she hates it if someone calls her Alexa))
Gender: female
Age: 16
SuperHero/Villain name: PyroBlazer
Power: Fire and Explosives(- she can make things explode)
Villain or Hero: Villain
Appearance: Pitch black hair that reaches the middle of her back and usually hangs in her face covering her dark orange eyes. Her pale face hides underneath the orange and black mask when she's in action, otherwise at all times she's torn up jeans with a spaghetti strap shirt and a hoodie of some sort. Making her look like a punk.
Personality: She's as I described, she's a punk rebel. She does nothing she's told and does everything she desires and feels like it. She's very carefree. Also, even though she doesn't have great grades, she doesn't care about school, but she's very smart even if she doesn't act it. How else to describe her? Very independent.
How they got their power: She doesn't know. All she knows that even though she never knew her own parents, as she was growing up in the orphanage she always had a thing for fire and explosives. She had always been alone and always picked on for being different. She hated friends and hated anything to do with being social. Once when she was chased by a group of people she escaped by lighting them all on fire. She didn't know how she did it, but all she knows that she wants to ruin the lives of those who are all perfect. They always take things for granted, they deserved nothing.
Weakness: Being social. She hates it when people are nice to her. If she does anything at all she does it for her own benefit. She doesn't want to fit in and she doesn't want anything to do with anyone. She wants revenge for never having the happy life everyone else does.

((We might as well start!!! :D))
Wilhelmina "Bill" Owell ran quickly to the bus-stop on the first day of the new school term, having come back from the summer holidays, hoping that she wouldn't be late for her first day at SuperHero High.
Her laces, which were, as usual, untied, tripped her up as she ran and she fell to the ground, her messenger bag spilling its contents on the floor.
"Oh blast!" she muttered under her breath as she got to her hands and knees, collecting her books and pens that had all fallen out.
"I've got to remember to do those up one day," she muttered to herself as she stood up to continue walking to the bus stop.
As she leaned against the street-light sparks danced over her spiky hair and she smiled to herself. Her alternate identity was TerraShock, SuperHero in training with the superpowers of Quintessence, meaning control over the elements. Her favourite elements were the Earth and Lightning, hence her name 'TerraShock'.
As she waited at the stop, she saw another girl, one of her friends, coming down along the street.
She cupped her hands round her mouth and bellowed down the street, "Hey Corny! How was your summer?!"
((Hope I didn't control your charrie too much, Amypopsicals :D))

Name: Mraz DaVinci
Nickname: none really, but some people will call her DaVinci or Vinci.
Gender: Female
Age: 15
SuperHero/Villain name: Xenoa (pronounced Zen-oh-ah)
Power: Supernatural-type things. Time-travel, sea-monsters, spirits, all her thing. She can summon ghosts and aliens, and also sprites though she prefers not to. She can befriend and use sea-monsters, werewolves and unicorns. Can also turn into some monsters and shoot plasma from her hands.
Villain or Hero: Villian
Appearance: Her appearance itself is a bit supernatural. She has red/maroon hair, but not a natural shade, and it is cut layered to her shoulders. She has incredibly dark blue, almost black eyes with silver flecks in them, making them look like the night sky. She is average height, maybe a bit shorter, and is super-skinny. She has a flare for style, though always keeps her clothes dark.
Personality: Really quirky and out-there, and often spaces-out. She's also sarcastic and snarky, and really moody too, though she is often in the angry/annoyed mood or just doesn't have a mood. Loves music, and almost always has her iPod with her.
How they got their power: Her mother (flying ability) died when she was eight. Before the burial, she went into her mom's room and took a stone that was in a drawer as a memory of her mom. That stone was a souvenir of a won battle and was radio-active. The her anger of her mom's death, the radio-activity, and the graveyard, all reacted together giving her powers and changing her appearance.
Weakness: Love/Caring. She is positively afraid of it since her mom died. Her other superhero weakness is normal-ness. The more average she acts, the weaker her power is. That is why she is so quirky.

((Haha its ok :D btw, is this a boarding school or a day school?))
Cornelia wandered down the street, her schoolbag slung lazily over her shoulder and her hands stuffed deep in her pockets. She really detested her parets for sending her to this stupid school. Well... she detested her parents in general.
Both were what you could call 'superheroes', with some amazing powers such as flying ans super strength. Typical cliche powers. Both her brothers inherited powers, too, and Corny turned our... normal.
Untill she got bored in physics class and somehow managed to turn herself into a human glo-stik, that is.
She saw a few people she recognised form school wandering about, catching up with friends, ad she heard someone calling her from up ahead. Recognising her electric friend Bill waving like a loony from the bus stop, she quickened her pace to a fast walk, waving back.

"Go now!" Julia's mum bellowed. Annemarie Thwaites wasn't nice when she was in a good mood! Jeremy and Julia both ran out of the house and didn't walk until they had turned off their street. Jeremy, or Incredipulse, was a hero. A stupid, pathetic hero, with the power of force fields. He was the spitting image of his father. Tall, sllightly lanky, floppy black hair. He however had inherited his mothers personality. Loud, rude and arrogant. Jules, who also had inherited her fathers black hair, green eyes, prominent nose and slim build, was quieter and more mysterious like her father. She often sat alone reading. She read a lot. Even now as they were walking to the bus stop, she was reading, she had been since breakfast. "Bye, see you this afternoon sis," Jez smirked at his sister, who had her nose buried in her book, and ran off, "don't be late for the bus!" he called back.
She was, "wait! Wait!" she ran after it. Unfortunately her powers didn't allow her to physically stop the bus. She just really hoped that someone would.

((Alex only knows of her power, she doesn't have a villain name yet...She'll make it up eventually)
Alex cursed. She was being dragged away again. "I'm not going." she pouted as she was being picked up and dragged. She groaned at the two people that carried her. "You're light as a feather Alexa." the woman giggled. Alex was ready to murder this lady. Who did she think she was. Just because they're wearing fire proof outfits didn't mean she couldn't burn them. Alex sighed as she was sat down on the bench. "Look Alexa, this is for your own good. You have to go to school somewhere, and the only place where you can explode something and not get away with it is there." Alex rolled her eyes as the man continued to speak. "As your guardians, we're sending you to this school. We think its best for you...with your..um...issues." he continued as the woman nodded.
Hand on her hips, Alex shook her head "I'm not going. I don't care who you are. I want to be left alone. I don't need school. I can do perfectly fine on my own." she snarled at them. "Mrs. Benson, look, I really don't need your pity, I can take care of myself."
Mrs. Benson sighed "Darling Alexa [Alex really hated that name], this isn't a choice anymore." Alex bit her lip. They were really shipping her off.
Mr. Benson threw the bag at her and Alex caught it. "What, just a backpack?" she asked raising an eyebrow with an attitude. He laughed at her. "You're staying at the school." and with that the two so called guardians walked off.
Alexa stared into empty spaced. She could run away now couldn't she? Her dreams were crashed by the sound of a big yellow bus that pulled in. "Alexandria Rubin?" the bus driver asked with a smile on his face. Alex frowned "It's Alex." she gritted her teeth and boarded the bus.

((Erm... I think it shall be a boarding school :D))
Bill smiled and hugged Corny. They had known each other from their previous school, even though Corny was a year older than Bill, they had been able to hang out randomly, that was, until Corny had been given a place at the SuperHero High boarding school and Bill had rarely seen her.
"It's good to see you again, 'Galo'," Bill said as she hugged one of her very few friends. She said Corny's Super name teasingly, knowing that it would irritate her tremendously, but hey, Bill was a monkey of a fourteen year-old.
The bus pulled up slowly to the stop and the doors opened with a wooshing sound. Without another word, Bill hopped into the bus before Corny could pound her for her teasing.
"Hello newbie," the bus driver said cheerfully. "I guess you must be Bill Owell. I know your mum well, she and I were very good friends at school. Welcome aboard!"
Bill smiled at the bus-driver and sat down heavily on an empty seat.
Her suitcase had already gone to the school along with everyone else's and so she didn't have to worry about forgetting it.

Mraz ran onto the bus on the first day of school. She was a bit late. It had taken her forever to choose her outfit for that day. Her clothing helped her maintain her power, as she enjoyed having her own odd style. She had ended up choosing grey and neon green polk-a-dotted tall socks, black shorts, a black T-shirt and a neon green vest. She also had on black flats and a grey beret. She had to learn to lay out her outfit and her accesories the night before.
But still, Mraz hopped on the bus just in time, though she found there were limited seats left. She chose one next to a dark looking boy, probably a villian like her, and sat down. She pulled out her Ipod, a green one, and blasted her music through her ear phones, way louder than what was a good idea.

Bill, who didn't know very much about the Hero/Villain division of the school, had no ideas about who was a villain or a hero and merely assumed that everyone was a hero, and that no-one could possibly imagine being a villain.
Someone ran onto the bus and sat down on the seat in front of her. The girl had odd, maroon hair and was blasting very loud music from her green iPod. Bill was rather disturbed by the loud music and thought it very rude that this girl should be interrupting the other students on the bus.
Bill leaned forwards and tapped the girl on the shoulder to get her attention. "Excuse me, could you please turn down your music? It's very loud!" she asked the girl.

Corny scowled at Bill, trailing after her onto the bus as it pulled up to the kerb. Muttering a quick hello to the driver, she ploked herself down in one of the seats next to Bill, still in a little bad mood.
"You know I hate being reminded of this pointless power. I mean, look around. Everyone herre has a power that will help someone in some way, like a real superhero. What do I do? I glow in the dark. Pointless or what?" she asked, sulking, folding her arms across her chest.
"Sorry. I shouldn't of snapped. It's just... you know... I hate feeling useless. And everyone seems to have some epic power that is usual of a superhero." She apologised to Bill, dumping her schoolbag at her feet and leaning back in the chair.
The girl in front was blasting her music, far louder than was necessary. Corny wondered how she could place them in her ears at all.

((okay, so I edited that bit...I wasn't sure if it was or not...so...hehe.))
Alex looked at everyone on the bus and made a face as she was then transfered to another bus, how she had no idea...it was just within a blink of an eye. She found herself on a bus with a whole bunch of students. Two of which caught her attention, the maroon haired girl and the other one looked too cheery. How did she get onto this bus? Must have been the power of the other bus driver. She shrugged and moved closer to listen to the other two.
"Excuse me, could you please turn down your music? It's very loud!" she asked the girl.
By the looks of it, this cheery girl didn't have a chance. Alex just smirked to herself sitting in the seat behind the maroon haired girl.

Mraz turned around automatically when someone tapped her. It was a girl, a hero by the looks of it. When Mraz realized she was talking she took her earphones out. She grew angry as she listened. Turn down my music?! Does she know me? Of course not, she's a newbie. No older kids would ask that. Mraz looked steely at the girl. "I like my music turned up, thank you very much. I'll turn it down a bit, but if it bother you. Please. Move." she said, trying her best not to be that harsh on the girl. She was new after all, she couldn't help it. Mraz turned down her music a little bit, but it was hardly recognizable, and went back to scowling at the seat in front of her.

Bill was taken aback by the girl's harsh attitude. Bill could see that this girl wasn't a particularly amiable person and could see that dealing with this person would be almost as futile as asking a Leopard to change its spots, but Bill's temper had now flared up at the girl's abrasive behaviour.
Little flames replaced the sparks that usually danced across Bill's hair and her eyes began to glow with the power of the elements in her slight irritation.
She tapped the girl once more on the shoulder. "Excuse me, but your music is still very loud and I am sure that it is disturbing the other students on the bus, and I find that you are being quite rude and disrespectful to your peers by continuing in your disturbance of their thoughts. So I ask you once again, could you please turn your music down?"

Mraz was not put off by the flaming hair. She had seen worse at Superhero high. She took a deep breath, trying to keep herself calm, but failing miserably. This girl needed to shut her mouth, before she got hurt. "Now listen. I can tell be your request that your new to this school. Otherwise you would've known better than to ask that. Almost all the students know not to ever ask that, and have gotten used to my music. You will do the same, or you will go to the other side of the bus. Do not ask again, and for heaven's sake, stop being such a goody-goody." she said, turning back and plugging her headphone's back into her ears.

Corny's eyes widened as she recognised the girl - Mraz. Corny knew she was trouble, and could see her temper rising.
"Oi, Bill, give it up. Just... leave it. She's trouble." Corny whispered to Bill, placing a hand on her shoulder. "Seriously... blowing up the bus is the last thing we need before starting this place. And I would quite like to have someone at this school I can talk to without etting called a 'Phosphorescent Freak', aka I want a friend here. Please, calm."

Bill scowled at the girl one more time and then flumped back into her seat, the flames in her hair extinguishing themselves, replacing the flames with the usual sparks. She closed her eyes and counted to 100 in prime number then working her way backwards through the alphabet in two languages before she had completely calmed down. Her parents had taught her numerous ways to calm herself down, and often she would have to use all the methods she had been taught.
"I'm sorry, Corny, but that girl was just so... rude, abrasive, irritant, disrespectful and just... downright rude!" Bill protested. She hadn't taken very well to the girl. Her mind was clouded with the tinny thump of music coming from infront of her. It was just too loud to deal with.
"Who is she anyway?" Bill asked sulkily. She didn't like it when people were so disagreeable, especially as she had always been told that she could get along with virtually anyone.

"I supose you could call her a... villain. Not a very nice person. One of those people that with them, its agree or get beaten up. Seriously, dont get on their bad side. Just... go with the flow. It's the first key point of survival at Superhero school. Just... agree."
She rummaged about in her bag for a bit, eventually pulling out a small bag of gummy bears.
"Breakfast?" she asked Bill, holdig out the packet after taking a few herself. "Journey may take a while, quite a few stops to make, then we've gotta get to the school. You might be in the same dorm as me, 14-15 years are usually in the same rooms, same with 16-17 year olds and so on."
Thirrin Vertigo
02-19-2010, 10:25 PM
Bill smiled broadly as she took a gummy bear from the packet. "Mmmm, nutritious," she said, laughing. She loved sweets and her parents rarely allowed her to have them, due to hyperactive tendencies brought on by Halloween, Easter and Birthdays when she had been given too many sweets and wayy too much chocolate.
She revelled in the prospect of being in the same dorm as Corny. She'd never been to a boarding school before and she felt that it would be better if she had the chance to be with someone that she already knew who didn't hate her guts.
"That girl, how old is she? I hope she's not in the same dorm as us. I'd be afraid to sleep if I had a villain who hated me in the same dorm as me..."

"She's in the same year as me. I dont know if she was in my dorm last year, I never bothered to learn my room-mates names, or actually paid them any attention. Last year was mainly focused on numerous phone calls that included either insulting my parents for sending me here, or beging them to let me come home, and trying to hide as much of my body under the covers as possible so as not to disturb anyones sleep and have them complaining and angry at me."
Corny sghed, helping herself to a few more gummy bears, staring out the window of the bus. Last year hadn't been particlarly pleasant, to say the least.

Oh my. Wouldn't those two prissy girls just SHUT UP?! Alex groaned why would these two be quiet? Alex turned around to face the two. Alex tired hard not to make a face at the girl that was...well..she blinked again to make sure, nope, that girl was glowing. Ha. What a sight. A girl actually glowing without even trying. Alex looked at the two and raised an eyebrow "Well, its not every day that you see a girl glowing." then she looked at the other girl that was sitting next to her "Or another with such a short temper." she made a puppy dog sad face. "Well its a shame, I've seen better." she rolled her eyes. She didn't like girls that thought they were the best goody two shoes out there. She didn't like these two already. Plus, with what she heard, she was 16 and wouldn't have to share their room. That was one good start of the new school.

Bill's temper flared up again at this girl's teasing to Corny. She didn't like it when people unjustly picked on her friend for her power. She thought that this girl was probably another one of the nastier people in the school.
"Oi, you, shut up!" Bill said quite suddenly. She couldn't take it when people were cruel to others. "Don't go making fun of my friend." she said quite shortly, her hair igniting once more.
Personally, Bill hated it when her hair ignited, as it gave her the most terrible ashy-dandruffy problem for days afterwards.

Corny turned around to face the girl sitting behind her. She looked up, and groaned inwardly. Trust her to it in a seat under the broken light, so she was in the shadows, giving her a funny glow, as it wasn't qute dark enough for her to start glowing like some sort of glo-stik.
"Excuse me? Got an issue with my power?" she snapped, glowering at the girl. She vaguely recognised her, maybe she'd seen her out and about.
What was Corny talking about? Power? She had no power. Glowing wasn't a power. Running at the speed of light was a power. Blowing things up with your mind was a power. Teleporting about was a power. Glowing was not.

Alex looked at the girl flaring her hair. "Hm. Seems like we have something in common." she smirked allowing her hair to light up as well. "but by the looks of it, you can control elements, I on the other hand...well lets say I have a secret weapon." she winked. "And I'm not making fun, I'm just stating facts. I mean, why be in superhero school if you ain't got a power?" she smirked then sat back "Tell me now, how about introducing yourself?" she asked.
Alex may be evil and mean, but she did have...some manners. Her motive was to ruin everything and everyone around her only if they deserved it. So far, these two were just plain annoying.

"And I'm not making fun, I'm just stating facts. I mean, why be in superhero school if you ain't got a power? Tell me now, how about introducing yourself?"
"Don't remind me." Corny scowled at the girl, disliking her more and more as the seconds ticked by. "My names Corny. Got any cracks about that?" she snapped, eyeing the girl.
Judging by the girls earler comment about elemental control, Corny guess this girl could... well... control elements. The girl had a point though. Why come to Superhero school without a superpower? Probably because her arents expected her to randomly find one whilst surrounded by other superkids.

Alicia "Alice" Wylon had been really excited when her godparents informed her that she could attend SuperHero High school because she is already 14 yrs old and she could fly and possess wind abilities. Because of that, she named herself "PhoenixWing" ever since her powers were revealed. Now, she is racing for the school bus wearing only a cross-body sling backpack with her brother, Alexander, who has superspeed and high-jumping abilities. Alex is only being nice. He could outrun in a hundredth of a second. When they both got on to the bus, they found an empty row in the middle of the bus and sat there together. Alicia noticed how diverse the students were in their choice of clothing. One particular girl with loud music who was arguing with another girl who had short, black hair caught her attention. Alicia frowned, that girl should be more considerate when listening to music and not force people to adapt to her lifestyle. They had stopped arguing now, but they were both fuming mad. Another girl beside the girl who complained, was glowing. A girl with long black hair was questioning the glowing girl about her name. Alicia smiled. She must be really depressed about her power. She'll find her power useful one day. Just like I did, having to save myself when I was falling in midair. I hope she feels better about it soon. So Alicia decided to take a nap so she rested her head on her brother's shoulder and promptly fell asleep. She knew she had to ready for anything, so getting some sleep would be a good idea.

Ris boarded the bus and had absolutely no idea where to sit. Everyone was staring at her weirdly. "Don't tell anyone about your power. Don't steal other people's voices. And do not especially throw them away. You are starting this school to learn how to control yourself." She spoke those words softly hoping no one would hear her. Suddenly the bus jerked forward. Ris' hand flew to one of those pole things that you hold onto. Suddenly a bundle of golden flashes flew straight into her hand. "Oh crap," Ris said.
The whole bus was silent.

Suddenly, the bus jerked forward and Alicia felt herself jerked awake and flying out of her seat, just as her brother's arm shot out to prevent her from hurtling out of her seat. She smiled with gratitude at Alexander. Then she heard something unusual. She looked around to find a girl holding sound on her palm. The girl looked uncomfortable about the power she revealed and apologized. Alicia smiled. I bet the school will be filled with students that possess unique powers. I don't feel so special now. Oh well, I still like my power. "That's fine, I think it's pretty unusual to have the power to manipulate sound!" Alicia told the girl, smiling kindly.

Bill looked at the girl who was questioning herself and Corny. She seemed to also be an elemental controller and judging by the fact that she had ignited her hair, then this girl was a fire elementalist.
"I'm Bill, if you have to know," she said shortly. She still didn't like the girl due to what she had said to Corny. Nor did she like her due to what she had said about Bill's short temper. "And who are you?"
Bill glared at the girl and waited for an answer.
Amaury was busy keeping to himself in the back corner of the bus. He didnt care that there were two other villians on the bus, he didnt care that there was a hero getting angry, he just didnt care. Gradually, and without even noticing, Amaury faded into dark corner of the bus.
"Hey! Wasnt there a kid in the corner there??" he heard someone shout, and Amaury sighed and shook his midnight black hair out, making him reappear.
"Yes." his voice was chilling. "Me."

Bill suddenly noticed the boy in the back of the bus who had disappeared and reappeared. She let her vision slip to him and took in his appearance. He looked quite menacing and, to be quite frank, a little disturbing. He seemed to be quite the bad-boy, that was what Bill could pick up at least.
Her eyes skipped across his face as she took in his features, quite startled by his pale skin and his starkly contrasting black hair and eyes. His voice chilled her when he spoke merely two words, but she couldn't help but feel thrilled by it.
Bill's heart began to beat harder as she looked at him more, trying to figure him out, finding herself feeling slightly attracted to him. She smiled to herself, laughing inwardly at the thought. She was only 14, she shouldn't be allowing herself to fall in love, she was too young, or at least, by her standards. She then laughed at the thought of what her parents would say if they found out that she was attracted to someone who could be a villain.

"Yes. Me."
In between a song change, these words pricked her interest, as they were said sharply and almost chillingly. Mraz looked around, and saw people staring at this boy in the back. He had a dark look to him, with startlingly pale skin. A villian by the looks of it, and something to do with darkness for a power, most likely.
Why was everybody staring at him? What had he done? Mraz didn't like to be left with unanswered questions. She paused her iPod, closed her eyes, and concentrated. All of a sudden, the ghost of a young boy was in front of the pale boy. It spoke for her. "Hello. Two real quick questions. What's your name, and what did you do, I missed it?" The ghost said, then stayed and waited for an answer.
Of course, Mraz could've just gone to talk to him, but that wasn't her style.

Jules couldn't believe it. The bus driver last year was lovely. He didn't care who was villianous and who was a hero. He treated everyone the same, and he treated them all nicely. Mr James Julia remembered his name being. Although his one flaw was that he called everyone by their proper name (i.e. Julia not Jules) which ticked a lot of people off. Unless you were a favourite of his and then he called you by your super name. This ticked Julia off even more than she would have been if she had been prissy, poncy Julia!
"Hay wait! Wait you idiot!" Julia bent down and picked up a stone to chuck at the bus. She missed. All of a sudden Julia was flung in the air and felt herself land very heavily on something. Someone, in a bus. A boy, looking very angry, in a bus! "Oh god! I'm sorry, I have no idea what happened!" Julia leapt up, and blushed a very deep beetroot colour.

Ris stared at her dark black Converse as she made her way to the nearest empty seat,. At once everyone started talking. Ris heard a girl talk about how cool it was to bne able to steal people's voices. But it sucked so much. Ris decided to change the subject to avoid the whisperes being made about her. Alex heard the shout and turned her attention to the back of the bus. She didn't remember seeing any boy, but now there was one. She raised an eyebrow as she observed the midnight hair of his. She smiled rolling her eyes. Some people these days are just too quiet. Alex could careless, so people talked a lot about other people in this school and there were groups of happy people and emotionally distressed people. Where she'd find friends...she was clearly not interested. She didn't want anyone to care just like she didn't care about them. Making friends was always a drag, so why waste time?
She groaned at all the noise and leaned back in her chair lifting her legs up and putting them on top of the chair.
Ha, I do what I want when I want, no one better tell me what to do, I ain't in the mood she thought to herself before closing her eyes allowing the loud bus noises dissolve away.

Amaury's dark eyes looked slowly up at the ghost and then his eyes moved over to the girl with the ipod. Probably her doing.. he thought sighing. He hated how some people showcased their powers like that. It was quite sickening to him. Rolling his eyes, Amaury looked hard at the ghost and said four words.
"Why do you care?" he rumbled. The ghost flickered out and soon it was talking the the girl Amaury suspected was the cause. People always paid so much unwanted attention to him. Was disappearing in shadows and all so interesting, or were people just trying to find something to fuss about? Probably the latter or the two.

"Why do you care?" he rumbled.
His voice did something to her that caught her attention, or was it the words that he chose? Alex blinked and followed the source. It was from that boy back there in the shadows. She raised an eyebrow. He wondered why other people cared. That was one question she always had in mind. Why did anyone else care about those who don't want to be cared for, like her. She hated it when people tried to be nice because they felt bad. She frowned and went back to her spacing out. Just because some shadow kid had the same thoughts and questions as her didn't mean she should be in their business. What he asks isn't hers to listen to. Not her problem. Not her concern.

Alicia looked at the girl's sad face. She must really hate having such a unique power to yell like that. Then she saw that almost everyone's attention turned to a boy who disappeared into the darkness. He had replied with a cold, sinister voice to a ghostly figure. Once of the evil ones, no doubt. And yet, there's that hero girl looking at him with interest. This world is really a weird place. Alicia looked intently at the boy, searching for clues that could identify his true self, but all she could guess was that this boy probably really hated life and all it involves : friends, family, school, etc... Alicia personally enjoyed school, only if the teachers were competent ones though. So she decided to close her eyes and rest again, but still aware of her surroundings. Just in case.

This startled Mraz. Why did she care? She never cared about anything... caring was too risky. But she did want answers. She cared for answers. That was it, answers. So many things in her life had been unanswered, she probably needed answers where she felt she could get them. This boy was going to give her an answers, whether he liked it or not. She decided to try the ghost again. She used the same one, and it shimmered in front of the boy. "I want answers, that's why I care. So will you answer my questions? Please...?" she said, tentatively.

The bus stopped abruptly in front of Rose and her parents. The last time she had seen anyone bellow the age of thirty had been when she was seven, and now a snow skinned, redheaded fourteen year old, she really didn't know how to behave. She inwardly cursed her parents, but felt a tad guilty about it less than a seconds later.
"We'll see you as soon as we can," Rose's mum said to her before lightly hugging her in a forced way and then pushing her up the steps of the bus. Rose had no clue how she felt about the freedom from her parents, a new life with people like her ... somewhere where not one person would look at her and consider her a freak ... she resented her parents, yes, but they had been the only people she had known for the previous half of her life. They were the only people she had who she could love, who she could pretend loved her back.
Fear grasped Rose as she walked down the aisle of seats. There was only one seat left and that was at the far end of the bus where she would be squashed into a corner. No one at the back seats looked particularly friendly, but neither would Rose when she thought about it. So she parked her bottom on the far left side of the rear end of the bus and smiled optimistically at the tall and black-haired boy sitting next to her, "Hello. I'm new. My name is Rose."

The bus stopped and started again and the sudden movement made Bill feel a tad queasy, that was when she realised that she had been staring at the Shadow boy. She turned around in her seat and faced forwards in her seat again. Thankfully the loud, tinny music had been put on pause and this gave Bill time to think.
Bill had always had problems with travelling in Cars and Buses and had always cycled around the neighbourhood where she came from. Her parents had never made her go in the car because whenever she did, something always happened to the car, and so Bill was not used to being in vehicles that weren't planes. For some odd reason, being in planes was fine for Bill, as was being in a boat, but never cars or buses.
"Hey, Corny, I hope you don't mind if I don't talk for a while. I'm feeling a bit queasy due to all this bus-travel. If I don't wake up before the bus takes off, thump me until I do," Bill said as she settled down on the seat, closing her eyes and leaning her head against the window.
So she parked her bottom on the far left side of the rear end of the bus and smiled optimistically at the tall and black-haired boy sitting next to her, "Hello. I'm new. My name is Rose."

Amaury looked over at the perky girl that sat next to him and he looked back to the ghost. His expression was blank and he blinked apathetically. This was not the way he wanted to start the day. Amaury crossed his arms across his chest looked from the ghost to the girl and decided tha he no longer had a choice. He didnt want to be annoyed the whole way to the school so there was one solution. One he would rather not avert to but one that was necessary.
"Amaury Dimmur." he said plainly and all of a sudden the bus got quiet and he rolled his eyes on the inside. He had said a total of 8 words and everyone thought that it was some crazy thing. Whatever... he thought and he rested his head in the corner of the cold metal school bus.

As Bill relaxed in her seat, trying to get over her travel-sickness, her thoughts began to wander, often to the Shadow Boy in the corner. He absolutely fascinated her; his chilling voice, the starkness of the contrast of his skin and eyes and his superpower was quite perplexing. She smiled slightly to herself. Bill loved to think about fascinating subjects. Especially fascinating subjects who were boys.
Her eyes flickered open as the bus went over a bump and she found herself staring directly at him, their eyes making contact. Bill's face was tinged pink as she found herself blushing and she looked away, feeling her ears burning. She chanced another glance at the boy and saw that he wasn't looking at her any more. She smiled inwardly as she thought of his eyes. So cold and chilling but absolutely gorgeous nonetheless.
"Welcome to Superhero High!" The bus driver called out on the loud speaker, and Amaury kept sitting hile all of the other kids rushed to the windows and out of the door. The place was impressive to say the least, but there was nothing there that truley made Amaury feel the excitement that the other kids felt. He just knew that it was a new school year... another year that he would have to get through. He sighed, shook out his dark hair, and slung his backpack on his back. He walked slowly out of the bus and closed his eyes. The sun was incredibl bright. Staying the shadow of the bus, he did his routine. He disappeared in the shadow and appeared inside the building. But he heard a yelp when he re-appeared and he realized that he had knocked the girl from the bus over. Amaury stuck out his hard, calloused hand to help her up and then he left without a word.

Bill launched herself off the bus, dancing and jumping around like a Mexican jumping bean, doing a victory dance as she reached the school. She ran in to go to the administration office to get her dorm assignments and class schedule and all the school stuff, enjoying everything thoroughly. For the rest of the day, people would be feeling minute earth tremors and gusts of wind as she would quickly let out her excitement.
As she ran through the corridors, looking at everyone as they did tricks with their powers, revelling in everything, something knocked her over out of nowhere. She yelped as she went down and her bag emptied its contents. She quickly packed it up for the second time that day.
When she looked up to see who had knocked her over, she was looking straight into the eyes of the Shadow Boy from the bus. She blushed lightly again as he helped her to her feet.
"Hey... thanks!" she called after him as he left her. Rolling her eyes, she grabbed her bag and ran after him. "Thanks for helping me up back there. How do you do that? I mean, travelling through the shadows and all that? It's an awesome power! What's your name? Where are you from? How old are you?" she bombarded the boy with questions in typical Bill fashion. She often found that if people got irritated by them, then she would be able to somehow get the answers.
Amaury stopped walking and turned around to look at the girl with his cold, black eyes. She did have a weird sort of attractivness about her, but Amaury wasnt interested all that much in girls or anything of that matter. It always make unnecessary drama for those who did care.
"Amaury Dimmur." he repeated to her simply. He was not a boy of many words, and if she expected a long response from him about something, she was going to be disappointed. Giving the girl one last look, Amaury stepped into the shadow of an unusually big student and disappeared. He, and all of the other students, were headed for the gymnasium. Every year, every student had to demonstrate their power in front of everybody else so that they may be place in hero (or villian) or sidekick. It was done whether you were a senior or a freshman, and every year it never got anymore pleasant for Amaury. It just gave the chance for the hero's to show off, and the villians a chance to show how dangerous they were. But though he too was a villian, Amaury wasnt interested in showing how powerful he was... he just liked staying in the background. Sneak attacks were more of his style when the time for a fight actually came.

Mraz was headed toward the gym when the girl from the bus, she still didn't know her name, was knocked over, rather randomly. As Amaury helped her up, she blushed. She was so falling for him. Good luck... Mraz thought, chuckling to herself. Your new, of course you don't understand. Villians. Don't. Date. Heros. She sped up to get a good seat in the gym, and ended up sitting right in the middle of the bleachers. This would be a lot of fun, the newbies were always freaked out about showing their powers, and the older kids always had really powerful ones.

Bill stood there gaping when Amaury just disappeared into some guy's shadow and was gone. She rolled her eyes when she realised what had happened. Straightening her trademark waistcoat, she continued on along the corridor towards the admin office to get her class stuff and dorm stuff and all the stuff that she had no idea about.
There was a nice lady at the desk who seemed like a fuddy duddy but had quite a good sense of humour. She seemed to be an ex-student of the school as she split herself into multiple people to do her one job.
"Here you go, hun," she said as she gave Bill all of the information needed. "Oh, and just so you know, Hero assignments for Heroes and Sidekicks is in the gym and is going to start in about half an hour. If you go and find your dorm first, I'm sure one of the older students will be able to help you find your way."
"Thanks," Bill said, smiling and turning to go. She ran up the staircases until she came to the fifth floor where there were signs to girls' dormitories and boys' dormitories. She went to the dormitories and went to door number five, where the names of six other students were posted on the door.
She looked at the door and saw that Corny was in the same room as her, but, unfortunately, they also had that rude girl from the bus; Mraz.
Bill rolled her eyes again, she was a champion eye-roller and her mum had always said that she could win a gold medal in eye-rolling. Pushing the door open, she went into the empty dormitory to find her trunk at the foot of her bed and smiled. She was at home. She dumped her messenger bag on the bed and grabbed her map of the school and soon found her way to the gym for hero placement.
Bill quickly singled out Amaury in the corner and grinned. She was over her initial shyness now and went up to him.
"The name's Bill," she said, holding her hand out to him. "Seeing as you left so quickly earlier on, I thought I might as well let you know who I am."
Amaury looked up at the girl. Her again? he thought, feeling a bit surprised that such a talkative, perky hero like herself kept talking to a contained, apathetic villian like himself. It looks like i have a bit of an admirer. he thought again, thinking it was a bit amusing. Amaury looked at the hand that she was still holding out, and he knew that she would probably not put it down. Amaury stuck out his hard, calloused hand and shook the girl 'Bill's' hand for a brief second and he put it back down and stared down at the gym floor again.
"Welcome Hero's and Sidekick's!" the gym coach, Mr. Turner, cried out. "Time for your placement."
And so the 'ceremony' began.....

Bill watched the placement avidly, trying to stop herself from exploding with excitement. It was going to be so fun! There were some really interesting powers. She even saw someone who morphed into a guinea pig! That was too cool for words.
She was all excited and pumped and ready to show her power, that was, until Mr. Turner called out her name. "Wilhelmina Owell, you're up!" he called into the crowd.
Going quite pale, Bill walked up to the podium in the middle of the gym. She looked around at the people who were watching and she felt her knees shaking slightly.
"Well, Wilhelmina, what's your power?" Mr. Turner asked none too kindly.
"It's Bill," she said, irritated at being called her true name. "And my power is Elemental control over the five main elements; Water, Wind, Fire, Earth and Lightning."
She was told to demonstrate her powers and so Bill did as she was told. Hands shaking as she held them out to her sides, she first conjured up fireballs and threw them into the air as she had practised at home. She then shot jets of water at the falling balls of fire, extinguishing them with a hiss. Then, with a flight of her wrist, she made a fruit tree grow outside the window of the gym and then struck it down with a bolt of lightning.
And to finish it off, a gust of wind ripped through the gym, blowing through the apparatus and messing up a lot of peoples' hair.
"HERO!" Mr. Turner shouted as Bill got off the podium.
Beaming, Bill walked, wanting to jump for joy, back into the crowd where she went to stand by Amaury again, determined to get him to tell her something about himself.
"A..Am...Ah-mowy-rie Dimmer?" Coach Turner called out and Amaury sighed. Nobody could ever pronounce his name right. Walking towards the coach, Amaury whispered the correct pronounciation in his ear.
"Ah. Amaury Dimmur. What is your power?" Coach Turner asked.
"I can slip into shadows and travel through darkness." he said, his voice chilling and cold.
"Okay then. Show me."
Amaury, who had done this drill before, quickly stepped into the coachs shadow and then appeared in his original seat in the corner of the gymnasium. He didnt like to overdramatize his power. Quickly, Amaury slipped back to the coachs shadow and stood up straight.
"HERO!" the caoch boomed and amaury went back to his seat for the second time. The other kids were murmering and whipering back and forth about him, not that he really cared what they had to say. This happened everytime he dd it.

"Mraz DaVinci!" Coach Turner boomed. Some kids started whispering. Her name was different, she knew it. It wasn't that bad, just... different. And she liked it. She walked up and stood on the stage. "What is your power?" Coach shouted. This was the part Mraz always had trouble explaining. Her power involved a lot of different aspects, that were hard to sum up with just a few words.
"I don't really know...." she said nonchalantly. A few kids laughed. "It's like.... super-natural-ness." She said. At the obviously confused look of coach's face, he need an example. Mraz sighed audibly, then closed her eyes. A second later, a ghost was standing over a few students, just hovering, chatting with each other. A second after that, an electric blue alien was zipping around Coach Turner's head. To top it off, she shot some plasma out into the crowd, gooing up some students. "So, do ya get it now?" she asked, snidely. Coach Turned shot her a look, then declared "HERO!" Mraz smiled a small smile, and walked back to her seat. Some people stared, in horror mostly, but she just walked back to her seat, unconcerned.

Alicia had arrived at the school and organized everything in her dormitory; she occupied the same dorm as the girl who seemed to fancy the mysterious black-haired boy, her friend, and that Mraz girl (which she found out when some people were whispering behind Mraz's back). During the placement ceremony, the Amaury Dimmur guy and the Mraz DaVinci girl were placed in the "Hero" section and Alicia thought, This is interesting. I'd like to see what the outcome of placing two evil-looking people as "Hero" would be. Bill is probably excited out of her wits for Dimmur. When an aqua powered student presented their powers, she felt a little queasy but recovered after they stopped.
When the coach, Mr. Turner announced her name, "Alicia Wylon," she calmly walked up to him and explicitly stated her power, "I can summon wings to fly, bring wind storms, and manipulate wind to use it however I want." Her eyes turned from dull green to bright emerald green and her vision became super sharp. To demonstrate what she had just said, large snow white wings immediately sprouted from her back and spread out of the two slits on her blouse. With a few strong flaps, she gracefully rounded the gymnasium in a flash, sending blasts of air into the ground with her wings. Alicia summon strong rotating gusts of air and sucked some of the students' belongings up into the eye of the tornado. Then she dissipated the tornado and returned the items back to their rightful owners by using firm trails of wind. For her finale, she sent a swirling bolt of wind at the gym doors and blew them open with a loud bang. Then she dive toward the ground in a blur and landed softly beside the coach. Only a few in the agitated crowd had managed to catch up to her speed. She apologized for disturbing them and the coach let out a small whistle then shouted, "HERO!" Then Alicia saw her brother and went to him, shrinking her wings back into her body. To her relief, he smiled warmly and told her that most people were simply dazed by her performance.

Alex stared at everyone as everything happened. This school was weird. She grunted to herself as she headed to the gym like everyone else. The weird looking gym teacher was announcing everyone as got their placement. Suddenly her name was called. She looked up at the coach with her orange eyes and raised an eyebrow "You heard me Rubin, get up here show me your power." Alex walked up to him and stared at him. "Well, lets go kid!" he boomed. After the long icy stare she smirked as his outfit slowly started to burn. On top of that all around the gym, different spots started to explode. It was as if they were suddenly put in the middle of World War II. She stood there, hand to her side. It sure did look like she didn't do anything, but Coach Turner yelled "Hero! Okay, stop it!" he said trying to extinguish the fire on his clothing.
Alex rolled her eyes and everything suddenly stopped and extinguished. She returned to her spot and leaned against the wall. What did hero mean? She wasn't a hero.

She walked up where he made a face at her. "I know you," he snarled, "You made my son lose his voice years ago." Ris suddenly remembered that the annoying kid she had faced when she was young and discovered her powers. Oh God, the coach would hate her. Ris gulped and braced herself. Five people had been called already when Rose's name was shouted by the coach, "Rose Light!"
Rose had decided to travel at the speed of light onto the stage. So she zoomed up without anyone noticing her for a few seconds.
"Blimey." The coach said, "Apparition or speed running?" He asked and looked down at the clip board in his hand.
"I can travel at the speed of light and control light too. I've not tried how bright I can make myself, but I've blinded two people permanently and exploded a few lights in my time by making them too bright and they were too hot. I can also make balls of light energy and that sort of stuff." Rose explained, "But I'm stronger at night when the sun is weak."
The coach smiled and shouted, "HERO!"

Alicia smiled silently to herself as Alex Rubin was called up front to show off her talent and saw the near-cremation of Mr. Turner. Look at that smug look on her face. When Coach Turner yelled to a girl named "Iris Winters", everyone could tell the coach hated her for the little incident with his son. Well, she could give him back his voice. It's not fair to hold a grudge for that many years. Her talent is actually very useful. She can absorb all the sound while attacking an enemy and then attack the enemy who can't hear anything. Alicia thought. Rose Light's talent is pretty amazing. I like the balls of light energy part. Very useful too. She continued watching them and the crowd.

Bill smiled when Amaury was announced as a Hero, however, she noted that he wasn't particularly bothered about it. She grinned at him, holding her hand out to him, "Congratulations," she said, prising his hand from his side and shaking it. That was when Mraz had been up, demonstrating her power.
A huge glob of plasma hit Bill in the face, rendering her blind for a while as she tried to remove it, walking around, arms outstretched in an attempt to find her way to the doors of the Gym. She was sure that she'd walked into several people, and many times, the wall, and she could hear muffled snickers in the background as she groped her way along the wall, feeling her way to the big double doors.
Suddenly, there had been a massive gust of wind and she found herself blown through the now open doors, landing with a thud on the ground.
"Well," Bill said picking herself up off the ground and dusting herself down. "That was... different. Now, to find my way to a bathroom or the dorm..." she said as she tried to find somewhere that would allow her to rid her face of the plasma.

Corny leaned against the sink, resting her head against the cool surface of the cracked mirror on the wall.
As she had been here the year before, she had already been placed in the 'Sidekick' category, and had decided to skip first period. It was only some maths, anyway... and the odd little thing about how to help a superhero and all that jazz. Corny didn't need to be reminded on a daily basis that she would never be a proper help.
The bathroom door was flung open and Bill stumbled in, some sort of goop covering her eyes. "Bill? What happened?" Corny queried, leading her friend over to a sink and switching on the tap for her.

Bill followed the sound of Corny's voice and water running to the tap and began to wash the plasma out of her eyes. It was painful trying to remove it, almost as painful as having it in her eyes.
As she rubbed her eyes, she spluttered through the water running down her face, "That Mraz girl was demonstrating her power in the selection thing whilst I was talking to Amaury in the Gym, and I swear that she deliberately shot that plasma at me. Gosh that hurts!" Bill said as she scrubbed the goop out of her eyes.
Blearily, her eyes adjusted to her surroundings and she was able to make out blurry shapes, however, the colours were much duller than she'd been able to see, but she guessed that the colour-blinded-ness would wear out over time.
"Anyway, why weren't you there, dude? I missed you." Bill said. She had missed Corny, and if Corny had been with her, she probably wouldn't have gone over to pester Amaury, as Corny was more the sensible part of Bill's brain when she wasn't thinking.

Ris watched as other people got placed. She was happy about being a sidekick. No need to show off her powers, and she could silence a whole room of annoying people without anyone noticing it was her. Well except for the glowing sphere in her hand. Ris decided that she couldn't take it any longer. There were too many 'Heros', Turner was probably singling her out to make her feel bad. She'd be the only Sidekick. Ris ran to the bathroom where she saw two other kids, one of them which she recognized as Bill.
"Hey," she said, "So uh, why exatcly are you two in here?"

Alex wasn't happy anymore. Too many heros. Why did she show her power, but isn't that what they asked her to do? She was bored. She wanted to go home, to her ally ways. To her freedom. She groaned. Now she was stuck in hell. All she had to do was follow the teachers around and do as they a say, just this time if she disobeyed she'd be frozen to icicles... literally. She wished there was something entertaining she could do, but no one was around that she knew that she could bug. She rolled her eyes focusing on a stick from the outside that was in the gym. She'd light it up then slowly extinguish it, then light it up a bit more...and so on. She really had nothing better to do.

Bill looked up from the sink, her vision still incredibly blurry and was able to make out the shape of a girl who she was pretty sure she'd seen at Hero Placement. She slightly recognised the voice. She rubbed her eyes a bit, a bit more plasma coming off her face and head.
"Hi, erm, I'm in here 'cause I got blasted by that Mraz girl with a face full of Plasma. Who are you? I'm sorry, but if my eyes weren't being so stupid at the moment, I'd recognise you, but all I've got to go on is a blurry shape and a faintly recognisable voice, but I'm not quite sure, 'cause I don't think I've ever met you..."
Bill squirted a jet of water from her finger at where she thought was level with her face in an attempt to clear some more of the plasma, instead she completely missed and squirted Corny behind her. "Oh, sorry, Corny..."

Alicia was still watching the last few people present their powers when a hydro-powered student was ready to demonstrate. The student looked very powerful. This was proven when Alicia suddenly felt uncomfortable and slightly weak. Her only chance of escape was to the girls' washroom. So she bolted out of the crowd and sent a gust of wind to boost her forward and into the washroom just in time as water was blasted out everywhere fromt that student. When she dashed into the washroom, she bumped into the girl who had sound energy as she caught a glimpse of two others: the girl who glowed and the elemental girl. What was her name? Alicia thought when she fell on her elbows. Iris Winters... that's right. "Ouch..." then she looked up at Iris, "Sorry there, are you alright?" Alicia got to her feet, rubbing her bruised elbows, wincing slightly.

After a long time, Bill finally managed to rid her eyes of the plasma gunk and clean herself up. Her vision was still incredibly blurry but things were becoming sharper. Looking around, she stumbled towards the door and went out into the corridor, to see if there was anything else to do in the school before lessons started.
Feeling her way along the walls, she found herself back in the gym, from which people were beginning to leave. Evidently, power placement had finished.
She saw a blurry image of a person with long, black hair and what seemed to be orange eyes. Bill faintly recognised the person as someone from the bus, but because of her impaired vision, she wasn't quite sure. She could smell burning and guessed that the person was a pyro. Even then, Bill failed to remember her as the girl from the bus, Alex.
"Uuuhm... hello?" she called out a bit shakily. "Hey, I'm Bill. Who are you?" She said, addressing the girl.

((haha, thank you soooo much I love you right now!!!))
Alex looked up from her...well spacing out...and towards the girl trying to stumble. Was it Willy? Billy? Dill? She wasn't sure of the name but she raised an eyebrow "Alex." she said to the girl trying to figure out what was wrong with her. For one she was holding onto the wall for support, two she was squinting pretty bad, and three Alex didn't think she could see at the moment.
"Look, you're element girl right?" she asked as she tilted her head, moving her attention from the almost completely burnt stick and to the girl. "Why not use the water and fire combined to rid of the pain in your eyes. By the look of it, its acid that will hurt for...I dunno a long while, but if you use the water to clean it and conceal the right amount of fire within it, it'll burn some of the acid away without hurting you...and give you less time of pain and a quicker recovery." she shrugged at the squinting element girl unsure why she said what she said, but she got up and was going to get ready to move on. The girl invaded her privacy...her bubble and didn't want to stay too close.

Bill's eyebrows shot up at the suggestion. She hadn't in the slightest considered using fire to burn away the acid, possibly because she was quite frightened by her lack of control over her fire element control.
"Hey, thanks," Bill said, smiling gratefully as with one hand holding an eye open, she prepared herself for a shock of cold water combined with a spark of fire. Quickly she did what Alex had told her to do. She found her vision beginning to clear up, and the incredible pain that she had been feeling was completely gone now.
She repeated the process on her left eye and found that everything was much less blurry now, but she still needed to squint in order to see.
But, now she was able to recognise Alex as the girl from the bus. "Thanks, I owe you one, Alex," she said, smiling, having taken quite well to the girl after she'd helped her. "I guess I had the wrong impression of you from the bus. You're not all that bad," Bill said, a thoughtful look on her face.
((Hmm... I wonder if Bill is the type of girl who could fall in with the wrong type of friends i.e. People with ideals tilted towards villainy and she could be heavily influenced by them accidentally...))

Alex nodded "ya, you do owe me one." and stopped as she heard the next part. "excuse me?" she raised an eyebrow at the girl, Bill, ya she had the name right now. She stared for a second before starting "look, I'm not looking for friends, by saying that, its an insult." she frowned "You see, I've never been good, a brat maybe, but never good or...not at all that bad. Don't think you can make friends by saying the right things. I may be new and you might be too, but thats no excuse of being nice. I don't think with that temper of yours that you'll completely fit in with the...what do you call them...heroes? I may not be a villain, but I know I'm not a hero."

Bill was baffled by what Alex had said. She felt the sparks of electricity in her hair starting to turn into sparks of flames as she tried to think through what Alex had just said. From what she could tell, it seemed that Bill had offended Alex by saying that she wasn't all that bad. And it was also clear that Alex didn't think that Bill would be able to fit in with the Heroes because of her temper.
"Wait, I'm not trying to insult you, I was just saying what I thought. To me, you seem like an almost amiable person and not at all as nasty as I took you for on the bus," Bill blurted out as she was still trying to comprehend what Alex had just said about her temper.
"And what do you mean by I won't fit in with the Heroes because of my temper?"

02-28-2010, 04:03 PM
Alex never thought she'd actually laugh...or well chuckle because thats what she just did "well, I don't know. I mean look at you. I was just saying what I thought...and you're all flaming on. You don't see me doing that, and thats the only power I got." she shrugged "Your so called friends might not want to be around when you explode. You won't be just fire, you might drown them, or bury them...suffocate...I dunno by the looks of it if I were one of those so called spoiled happy goers I would stay away from you, but I know better then that. I think....well you have better potential even though you're vulnerable."

Bill's hair-flames died down as what Alex said started to make sense. She could understand what Alex was getting at. Bill knew she had a foul temper that could blow without warning and her friends had seen the consequences before, that was before Bill knew she had super powers.
Her brow creased, Bill contemplated everything that Alex had said to her. It was true. Most people back where she had come from tended to avoid her at school, as whenever she got angry, which was quite often, something bad would always happen. Most people didn't know that it was because of her, they just thought that she was a jinx or that she was unlucky.
"Yeah... I see what you mean. People do stay away from me when they know me properly... I get where you're coming from, Alex. I don't want people to stay away from me like they used to... I know I can do more than they think I can..." she said.

02-28-2010, 04:14 PM
Alex shrugged "Eh, I don't really care. I mean okay woopy doo you can blow up whatever you want. I'm not just what I said I am. Ya I can light things up on fire, I didn't show the other half of my powers, not going to unless I need to. It's pretty...eh, you'll see someday. Yet, I'm not afraid of you...that is unless you extinguish my fire, then I'll be POed." she nodded in warning. "otherwise," she shrugged "What is there to be afraid of. As long as you kick butt I don't think there is a problem. Thats what we're here for. I think that a hero is someone who is suppose to give justice, not be afraid of someones potential." she averted her apathetic gaze towards the clock on the wall "what time does class start. I usually ditch, but I'm interested with what type of stuff they teach here." she asked talking more to herself.
Thirrin Vertigo

Bill chuckled when Alex said about being PO'ed if Bill extinguished her fire. Bill liked Alex, she was the type of girl who knew what she was talking about and wouldn't cow tow to anyone. A half-smile crept onto Bill's face as she thought of the potential of being like Alex.
When Alex asked about the classes, Bill realised that she was talking to herself, but Bill needed to know too, so she checked her schedule which had a note on it from the secretary.
"Well, according to this note from the secretary, today is off-curriculum due to being that it's the first day back and new students need to get settled in the environment, etc. So I guess that means a free day..."
Bill was slightly put out by the fact that there were no lessons that day, as she had been looking forward to the Science lessons because it involved the really complex stuff like ray-guns and gadgetry and the such.

02-28-2010, 04:28 PM
Alex raised an eyebrow "free day?" she grinned, evilly this time, and combed a hand through her long black hair. "well then, that leave me more time to explore the school." she looked around to find a place to start. "I wonder if they have secret passage ways. The folks at the orphanage would have killed me-" she froze her eyes laying on Bill now. How much of an idiot was she to let stuff like that slip. She did tend to talk to herself out loud, but no one was ever around to listen. She tensed and her jaw tightened. What was she going to do now?

Bill blinked twice as she took in what Alex had just let slip. She noted Alex's body tensing and her jaw tightening and decided that it would be best to say nothing. Anyway, Bill didn't think it was that bad that Alex was an orphan, if anything she felt sorry for her, but seeing how Alex had reacted earlier on when Bill had been trying to pay her a compliment, she thought it would be best to keep her mouth shut about that.
"What did you say?" Bill said feigning coming out of a daze. "Whatever, never mind. Anyway, I guess that we could explore this place. I'm sure there are hundreds of places to be found here... especially lairs that past students made..." Bill said, a twisted grin coming on her face.

Alex frowned "we?" she didn't forget about her slip up, but loosened up a bit. She did like to do things on her own. "I am going on my own. If you follow me, I don't care, I'm just not going to stop if you chicken out." she shrugged. As long as she wasn't responsible for anyone what was the harm in it? She started down the hallway her eyes laying on a goblin statue. "well suspicious and lame." she raised an eyebrow "Probably put here on purpose to get us to explore." she smirked. "to test our curiosity skills. "

Bill laughed to herself. "Me? Chicken out?" she said under her breath. "Never." She followed Alex down the corridor to the Goblin statue. "Meh... it looks to obvious to me, but we might as well check it out... it could be made to look obvious as to make the inquisitive minds think that it is just a red herring... quite smart thinking if that is the case..." Bill said, both to herself and Alex.
She started idly tapping the statue, thinking of ways to get through it, should it be a latch for a door or something along those lines.
"Well... we might as well see what it is there for... just to, as you put it so perfectly, test our curiosity skills..."
TeddyBearQueen
02-28-2010, 04:44 PM
Alex rolled her eyes "what curiosity skills. This is lame." and she pulled on the ear that was obviously two pieces. She may have looked apathetic but she wasn't stupid. She laughed as the goblin slide to the left and a dark hallway opened up. "too bad glow girl ain't here. Oh well." she cupped her hands and blew into them making a fire ball for light and walked into the pitch hallway "careful now, spiders, webs, and narrow hallways." she smirked continuing in without looking behind to see if Bill was following or not. This was going to be fun.
Amaury jumped as he saw two girls coming towards him. How did they get in here? he thought, and then he realized that the Bill girl was one of them. Perfect... splendid... just what i need. Amaury thought exasperated. This girl kept following him, even if it was unintentional, she was following him where ever he was.
"Why are you here?" he said into the darkness. He could see the flame that the other girl was holding, but more than that, his night-vision was spectacular. Amaury was acutally kind of surprised that they discovered this place. It took a year and a half for him to stumble upon it...

Alex stared at the boy in the shadows. How could she see him? She blinked to make sure since apparently Bill had trouble seeing in the first place. She rolled her eyes but stayed quiet. Its not like she had anything to say. She wasn't interested in talking so she walked passed the guy and looked down the big empty pit below them. She smirked thinking about how cool it would be to jump down that thing. On the other hand she was debating whether or not to wait for Bill. Yet, she really could careless. "Oh great, a big dark room in which I can see little with my already-bad vision..." Bill said sarcastically as she put out her arms to find the sides of the walls, stumbling as she followed the sound of Alex's footsteps. She nearly tripped over her own feet several times, and that would have just been plain embarrassing.
However, Bill jumped out of her skin when she heard someone talking to them from the dark. It wasn't good that she couldn't see the person who was addressing them, it just made Bill quite jumpy.
After a second of silence, Bill realised where she recognised the voice from. It was Amaury from the bus and power-placement.
"We're just being cats... let's hope our curiosity doesn't get us killed," Bill said wittily, which surprised her, as she wasn't typically a witty person, nor was it in her character to act like that in front of the guy she liked.
She continued after Alex's footsteps, holding onto the wall whenever possible. Normally Bill's eyesight was splendid, however that hadn't been the case since Mraz had blasted her with a face-full of plasma in power-placement that morning.
"Alex, wait up a sec," she called into the darkness ahead of her. "I can't really see very well at the moment..."
Amaury, to say the least, was pretty surprised that Bill did not stumble over herself to answer his quite simple question. He didnt really care all the much, it just surprised him how her attitude changed so quickly. One moment in the gymnasium she was all over him trying to get him to speak, and now she didnt care. Hm. he thought it must have something to do with that other girl that is with her.
Amaury could feel where they were in the tunnel. The darkness was like a blanket to him, and he knew exactly who was under his blanket and where they were. Amaury smirked and his eyes blazed with an evil glare.. he had an idea. Taking a breath, he was instantly right in front of Bill and the look on her face was priceless.

Alec hated being the new kid. He hated it. But here he was, being the new kid! The bus driver had to take Alec and so he was waiting outside his gate for him. His parents worked until 10am so they had said their goodbyes last night. They had been very teary goodbyes from his mother, and yes, there had been many for her. It had beeen a struggle for Alec to get up that morning but Sniper, his dog had made sure that he did. His bags were incredibly heavy. He hated to think what his mother had packed for him, but he hadn't been able to pack for himself because of the time restraints. In fact, he was going to school even though he had a broken arm! The bus driver arrived and before Alec knew it, he was standing before the crush of heroes that were soon to be his classmates. The driver gave him a small push into the mayhem and Alec was on his way. oomph Alec had ploughed straight into someone, someone very huffy looking too. He pulled her up. "Sorry," he apoligised.

((nope, not at all. Exactly what he would do.))
Amaury chuckled darkly. I mean, even he, the dark, stoic kid, had to laugh at that. It was pretty funny, and also quite humiliating for Bill.
"Bye." he said as he whisked away through the shadows and into the darkest corner of his dorm room. There was no one there so he chuckled a final time and plopped himself on his bottomw bunk. Free days were always so boring. At least he got a little entertainment. Amaury sighed and plugged his earphones in his ears. Loud screamo music blasted and he leaned against his pillow. "Hey... wait up! I can't see very well!" Bill called after the retreating form of Alex. She stuck her arms out in front of her and tried to feel her way. At one time, Bill didn't have her hands up and walked straight into a wall, falling, once more, to the floor with a dull thud and a loud, "umph!" from Bill.
Great... thought Bill. I'm trying to make friends with Alex, but already she thinks I'm a fool who is a goody goody... I need to be more like her. Bill thought, standing up shakily, sure that she'd heard Alex laughing at her.

"Y'know, I never thought of doing anything like that," she said, looking in the general direction of Alex, not realising that she was looking the wrong way. "I was always told to never use my powers at home or... well... ever. My 'rents were too scared that I would lose control and hurt someone, so I'm not that good with my powers..."
Bill snapped her fingers, seeing sparks flying from the tips of her fingers, making the fingertips glow slightly. She snapped her fingers one more time and a ball of fire began to glow in her hand, improving her vision greatly.
"Thanks for the tip," Bill said turning around to face Alex, smiling now that she could see slightly better. However, her vision was just as blurry as earlier, but now she could see rough shapes in the tunnel and she could see the blurry form of Alex in front of her.

Alex didn't turn around because she was actually smirking at the 'thanks' she got. She never thought she'd hear that so many times in a day. She rolled her eyes and continued through the tunnel. Stupid as she was, since her mind was still on the whole Amuary- Bill thing, she missed a step and went flying. She yelped...something she never thought she'd ever do and clung to what seemed to be the edge of the cliff. Alex looked up at the half blind Bill and groaned "tell me you can see..." she gulped and looked down, it was pretty far down. How this was in the school she had no idea. The only thing she can hope was that it was all an illusion. Otherwise...she'd have to plummet down to the bottom and hope she lands on her feet.

Bill heard Alex yelping and saw her blurry form go flying, but into or at what, she couldn't see. The ball of fire in her hand glowed brighter and she could vaguely see Alex holding on to a ledge of some sort.
Peering over the edge, Bill steeled herself and shakily walked over to Alex. Bill had always had a fear of heights, so this wasn't particularly helping. She gripped Alex's wrists tightly.
"O-ok, get a f-foot hold on the wall and push as ha-ard as you can. Grip my wrists as well and I'll do my best to get you out of there," Bill said to Alex, doing her best not to look into the black void.
Grunting with the effort, Bill began to haul Alex back over the ledge, onto solid ground. She could feel her own palms becoming sweaty and clammy and hoped that Alex's hands wouldn't slip out of her own.
"Hold on tight... just a little...more...."

Okay, Alex hated to admit the truth, she hated heights. She didn't mind them if she really had to, but she knew that one day in a situation like this she'd flinch and not know what to do. Lucky for her she had Bill around. She grunted slightly to herself before Bill had finished and the two were on the ledge. She was panting now. How could she go around telling people Bill saved her? Worse would Bill tell everyone else? Alex couldn't think straight at the moment. She looked over at Bill and to her surprise she said "you okay?"

Bill nodded, catching her breath also. It had been kind of a shock that Alex had fallen over the edge and that she, Bill, had been able to save her. It made her feel all warm and fuzzy inside. She guessed that that was the satisfied feeling heroes got when they saved people from villains or from burning buildings or any of that malarky.
"Yeah. I'm ok," Bill said, clicking her fingers again until a small flame was glowing away to give them some light. "But what about you? I mean, you were the one who fell and could have died."
Bill looked around at there surroundings. Even with her blurred vision, she could tell that this place was treacherous and that one false step and they would both have been gone many times before.
"C'mon," Bill said, getting to her feet, dusting down her jeans and jacket. "Let's get out of here. It's kinda dangerous, and I don't really think I want to be swallowed up by a random chasm in the ground on my first day at SuperHero High..." She held out her hand to help Alex up. "C'mon, friend."

Alex flinched. Friend? She blinked "I'm fine." she said a bit sternly. She cleared her throat and stood up taking the hand "we aren't friends." she said flatly narrowing her eyes at Bill. Alex couldn't be "friends" with anyone. She as alone. Alex. Thats all she will and ever be. She wasn't a hero and she knew that, Bill was. They'd never be 'friends'. Her hair sparked showing her slight anger.
Alex didn't say anything the rest of the way. She wanted the see the light of the ending of the passage way. Still, she didn't want to go to class though. She hoped something else would come in the way.

Bill was slightly taken aback by the fact that Alex seemed angry because Bill had called her a friend. She understood that Alex didn't see them as friends, but Bill did. But then again, Bill found that if she liked someone quickly, she wanted to be their friend.
She walked quietly, following Alex as they went back into the light of the corridor, closing the goblin-statue door behind them.
It was odd, coming out of a dark tunnel hewn from rock into as bustling hallway of a normal school.
"See you later, I guess," Bill said as she turned to go, heading to the dormitories. She checked her watch. It seemed that they had been gone for longer than Bill had thought, for now it was nearing lunch time. She was glad, however, that she had not had any lessons to miss, what with the first day back being a free day.
Bill hurriedly clambered up the stairs to the common rooms, hoping to find Corny or someone else there. She then thought of Amaury and smiled to herself. She had to admit it, it had been hilarious earlier on when Amaury hadn't caught her when she 'fell'.
"Bill, you are a twonk, aren't you?" Bill said to herself. "You need to act normal around him if you ever want to seem anything other than a love-sick girl."

Alex sat in her room thinking about the whole 'friend' thing. She didn't want a friend did she? No. She didn't need one. She found her piece of bark and started playing with it again, burning it on and off. She groaned. Why did Bill have to say that. Weren't they...friends? Alex knew she liked Bill as a 'friend' but she wasn't ready to admit it yet. She sighed. Maybe she just blew it. The piece of bark exploded in front of her. She covered her eyes and looked at all the splinters everywhere now. Alex sighed and lay back on her bed closing her eyes. What had she just done?!

Bill had, by that point, flumped down into a comfortable armchair in the common room. To her right were two different staircases which led to the dorm landings, on the left, girls' dorms and on the right, boys' dorms. For a moment she basked in the warm sunlight that was flooding in through the large windows until she heard a loud, albeit muffled, boom coming from one of the five girls' dorms.
She hurtled up the stairs to see what had happened. She saw one of the dorm rooms' doors hanging slightly open, and she looked through the crack to see who was in there. It was Alex. She'd obviously done something, but what, Bill didn't know.
Cautiously, she pushed the door open, putting her head into the room to see if everything was ok.
"Alex, are you ok? I heard a boom from up here. I was just wondering if you were ok."

Alex opened her eyes and sat up. She raised an eyebrow as she saw Bill. She gulped. It was the one person she...didn't want to see? "Hm?" she yawned then looked at the room. "Oh right...about the big boom." she bit her lip. "did I mention I can blow up things?" she sighed rolling her eyes "See, I have a bad temper, doesn't work...sad thing is I get mad at myself sometimes and blow things up and don't really care" she shrugged "I'm used to the mess...you can erm...come in, but I'd watch your step." she said moving over on her bed.

Bill laughed as she stepped over some exploded pieces of... something or other and walked over to Alex's bed in the dorm. She smiled lopsidedly and laughed slightly. "So, we have more in common than would seem. We both have foul tempers. It's funny, really, because to me you seemed like a 'devil may care' sort of person, who would keep her cool whenever something happens, but, it seems that we are both terrible when it comes to keeping our tempers in check."
She sat down on the bed, looking at Alex, searching her face, trying to figure the girl out, but Bill had never been good at sussing people out.
"So, why were you angry? Or were you just blowing something up for the fun of it?"
((Lol, Alex is feeling weird because of Bill being friendly! XD Funneh :D Remember, Alex needs to be a 'bad influence' on Bill, making her more... villainy :) ))

Alex's face scrunched up at the question. "I blew it up cause I felt like it Okay?!" she snapped her hair sparking. "I got enough to think about then just you being around me all day trying to ask "are you okay" all day long." she rolled her eyes angrily. "anyway, was just looking at the schedule..." she said changing the topic "I'm not in the mood for math tomorrow morning. I'm ditching, but I hear tonight there is this huge welcoming party....wanna crash it with me?" she smirked.

Bill mentally reeled back from Alex's outburst, but she kept still physically, just a bit shocked by Alex's snapping. She felt a little uneasy that Alex was going to skip her Maths lesson tomorrow morning, but then again, Alex was 16 and Bill was 14, nearly 15, but Alex was either one year above her or two years above her, and so Bill thought that it wasn't her place to interfere. Bill, on the other hand, had double science the next morning, and she didn't mind that because it wasn't typical sciences as in Chemistry, Physics and Biology, well, it was that, but it was also things like exploring "Superhero science" like Ray guns and radioactive elements, etc. that SuperHeroes came up against every day. Bill had been looking forward to those lessons ever since she had been accepted to the school.
"Well, if you want to skip your lesson tomorrow morning, then by all means, go ahead, who am I to stop you, eh? But," Bill said, a mischievous grin spreading over her face. "I do like the sound of crashing that party..."

Alicia had escaped from the girls' bathroom to the humongous school library which she stumbled upon. Libraries always tempted her to go in to snatch a few books off the shelves. And being a lover of knowledge, she did so and took out several books. The library had been so high-techy with books about every subject that would only concern superheroes-- like a whole roomful of criminal records which only a librarian could access or a roomful of technology and science-based books.
Alicia had returned to her dormitory long before anyone else did. But she didn't read. She had been pondering on her weakness, how she had to run from the aqua-powered student at the ceremony. It made her feel useless and frustrated. It's pathetic. How could she possibly be a hero when she becomes weak at a few squirts of water? Was it a psychological problem or was it really a weakness she can't ever escape from? Though she was usually very clever, she couldn't figure it out. There has to be a solution.
Finally, deciding that she should take a walk to relieve her of her misery and anger, she was about to get out of her dorm when a resounding boom erupted from somewhere down the hallway. Frowning, Alicia bolted out of her room to see what had happened. Then she remembered. Alex... the pyro girl. Slowing down to a walk, she tied up her light brown hair up into a pony-tail and found a room with slight wisps of smoke coming out. True enough, the Alex girl and Bill were in there with a whole bunch of ash and splinters everywhere. Alicia imagined the faces of the girls who would share this room with Alex. Trying to hide her laughter, Alicia rapped gently on the door and managed to sputter out, "S-sorry for in-interupting you two... but uh, is everything alright?" Then gave a small cough and straightened her face.

Another girl?! Alex frowned and narrowed her eyes angrily. She pointed her hand to the door. "okay enough! I can't take anymore people in my room." she gritted her teeth. No one dared share a room with pyro freak girl and she liked it that way. Teachers knew it would be smart to keep her by herself. She realized that no one was moving. Alex raised an eyebrow and flame sparked from her hair. "Out." she blinked. She turned to Bill "Meet me tonight at the entrance to the passageway. Just us two. Bring anything that you think is fitting." she smirked and pushed the two out of her room. She flung herself on her bed. Maybe Bill was her friend, but she really couldn't take more then one. She pointed her finger to the ceiling and burnt a small...not so deep....hole in it. She smirked. Maybe she'd actually like it here at SuperHero High, even if she wasn't such a 'hero'.

Alicia's humourous mood was immediately replaced by cold indifference as Alex rudely ordered her to get out of her dorm. Then she had been pushed out along with Bill into the corridor. I only asked a question. Something like "we're fine" would suffice. Oh well, some people do like to keep to themselves, Alicia thought. Then she realized that the Alex girl said something suspicious. Although she was curious about what Alex was doing, she didn't want to intrude with Alex's privacy anymore -- if you call a friendly question an intrusion of privacy. Since she originally planned to take a breather from her little dilemma, she decided to make light conversation with Bill.
"Well hello Bill. Nice to meet you, I'm Alicia or Alice Wylon. Sorry to interrupt you and that fiery girl in there, didn't mean to do any harm," Alicia said cheerfully, offering a hand. She liked to make good first impressions with anyone, despite what had just happened.

"Hello Alicia," Bill said, shaking Alicia's hand. She liked to see someone else who shared the same ideals in manners as her. Most teenagers, and adults for that matter, didn't shake hands with people any more. "It's nice to meet you. And, don't worry about Alex, she's just a little... temperamental. Much like the fire that burns within her. Don't let her snappiness bother you."
Bill liked the look of Alicia. She hadn't seen her at power placement, but was pretty sure that she had seen her on the bus, or somewhere else. She looked at the blurred form of Alicia, trying to gauge what her power was and what side she was on, all the typical stuff.
"I hope you don't find me rude in asking, but what is your power? I don't think I saw you earlier on, probably because I was having to wash my eyes of the plasma goop that that Mraz girl fired out in her power demonstration." Having said that, Bill's eyesight hadn't improved much since the tunnel.
She squinted a bit as she tried to make out Alicia's facial features, and guessed that she was probably wondering why she was squinting. "Sorry about the squinting, I can't see all too well since the plasma had to be removed from my eyes."

Alicia smiled gratefully that Bill was much more friendly. So she answered her questions, "Alex is unique in her own way, I suppose. But anyways, I can manipulate wind into anything that involves air. I also have the power to summon wings and fly. I'm just more specialized in the art of wind power, like you are in the elements. They've placed me in the hero category, if you're wondering."
Then she saw Bill squint because of the after effects of Mraz's plasma, and kindly said, "Seems like Mraz's plasma is pretty effective. Do you think saline water would help to clean your eyes so you can see clearly?"
It really wouldn't do to have heroes blinded by plasma when they're on a mission.
Alicia was curious about this girl. She seems like real "hero" student, but then she's associating with some dark people. Alicia looked outside one of the many windows in the corridor. There was a beautiful garden with many green plants. She immediately felt a calm overcome her previous frustrated mood when she was in her dorm.

Bill smiled half-heartedly in a way as if to say "That's a good idea, but it didn't work". She guessed that there was something in the plasma that was mucking up her sight, like, perhaps an acid that fed on protein or something. Mentally, Bill shrugged, making a note to go see the school nurse, who was trained in many things, to see if she could do anything about it.
"Let's walk," Bill said, going towards the door of the common room, which lead to a long corridor, lined with many large windows that showed the view into the gardens. Bill sighed as soon as she felt the warmth of the sun on her through the windows. "I just love the sun, don't you, Alicia? There's just something calming about the comforting warmth."
As they walked, Bill looked out of the large windows, trying to see detail in the large, green blurs. "Those trees must be absolutely gorgeous, eh?" Bill said, sighing slightly. "Shall we go out for a bit? I mean, we've got a bit of time before we're called to the canteen for dinner, and I'm absolutely dying to get into the sun for a bit..."

Alicia turned from the window to see Bill smile slightly in a dejected way. Seems like salt water wouldn't work. She'd better see the nurse. THen BIll invited her to walk with her. Glad to have some exercise, Alicia followed her. Feeling the peace nature gave her, Alicia agreed, "Yes, they are quite lovely in the background with all those daffodils and lilies growing by the sidewalk. Some fresh air and sunshine would be lovely."
As they walked down to the gardens, Alicia was lost in her thoughts. She wondered if she could ever get rid of her weakness, but the warmth of the sun gave her hope. It was unlike Alicia to be gloomy, but aqua-powered people always made her feel uncomfortable. So instead of being gloomy, she cheerfully asked Bill, "This must be your first year here isn't? Which subjects are you most excited about?" the she paused, "I think the special sciences and technology would be the most entertaining."

Mraz decided to go exploring in her free time. Headphones plugged in, music full blasts, nodding her head along with the music, she started off, wandering through the halls. After getting side-tracked a few times, she decided to return to her room and look at her schedule. She was hoping to have some of the teachers she had heard were cool, but she hadn't yet checked her schedule.
She walked into her bedroom and sat on her bed. She reached beside her bedside table and picked up her backpack, but something caught her eye. A little outline of a door, barely recognizable, big enough for someone to crawl through, but not big enough to stand in. She knelt beside the door, and was trying to figure out how to get in. She decided to push on the outline, and when she did so, it went in and slid aside. Awesome! she thought. After making sure no one was around, she crawled in.
She got to the end of the passage, and found a handle. She pulled it, and the door opened. Without thinking about where she was, she climbed out. She popped up, looking around, and found herself in a dorm with the boy Bill was flirting with. Amuary. "Well, that was cool." she said, nonchalantly. Not thinking about how she had just seemed to pop out of nowhere. "What's up?" she said, perkily.
Amaury turned his head and paused his ipod. What in the world is she doing here? he thought feeling very confused and irratated. "Yes?" he asked, his voice sounding dark, his glare staying on that Mraz girl that he had seen both on the bus and in the gymnasium. He didnt understand why she didnt just leave. I mean, she called herself a villian....
"Yes?" he repeated, getting annoyed that she wasnt answering or just leaving. What was she waiting for? Him to just jump up and start jabbering off like an idiot? Heck no.

"Well, I don't know. You seem awfully uninterested considering I just found a passage from my dorm to yours. If the positions were switched, I'd be pretty excited." she said, thoughtfully. Then she spotted the iPod. She pulled hers out of her pocket. "What are you listening to?" she asked, showing him her screen, which had the album cover for Fm Static on it, playing "Definently Maybe." It was a good song, an odd beat, and an odd sound to it. Suited her likings. She looked at him and raised an eyebrow. Music was one topic she would not let drop.
Amaury looked at her and he couldnt believe this. Another girl was deciding to stick to him like glue? What was with this? He did nothing to promote this except.... well, nothing! It isnt like he talked a bunch or even seemed exciting or interesting... he was just dark. Black. Shadow. Nothing extrodinary. Sighing on the inside, Amaury looked up at her with his black eyes.
"Open Arms to Damnation, Born of Osiris." he said in a rumbling tone. Amaury had decided that he would say no more. He would give her the pleasure of an answer... but no more. He didnt care about little giddy, love-sick girls...

"Dude, that song is one of my favorites." Mraz said, flicking through her songs. After going through about five playlists, she finally just went to albums. She found their most recent album, and looked for a specific song. It was one of her favorites. Where was it...
"Ah, here it is. Have you heard this song? Abstract art? Beast. Song." she said, plugging one earphone back in and listening to it. Then she looked back at Amaury. "Okay, no one can turn down music conversation. Except people who have some serious illness, and stupidity counts. So, what's wrong with you?" Mraz asked, seriously.
"I could ask the same thing about you." he said with a glare. This girl was just rambling on about her music, and now she was expecting him to do the same. Yeah right. She must be off her rocker, although Amaury thought that everybody who even tried to talk to him was.
But Amaury was not amused nor impressed by this girl at all. Music wasnt really his thing. He liked the screamo, but he never really cared about different artists or albums, and he most certainly didnt care about other peoples music. So what? he thought apathetically.

"Well, something's wrong with you, and not for refusing to talk about music. I guess you just like to be alone. So, have fun. Bye." she said, then turned around, pressed the wall, and watched as the door opened. She slipped into the passage and started back towards her dorm. He was pleasant... she thought, rolling her eyes. Bill smiled when Alicia told her that the flowers and trees were beautiful. Bill loved Nature and, due to her elemental control over Earth, which was her joint favourite with Lightning/Electricity, she had a beautiful garden back home, filled with exotically coloured flowers, such as purple daffodils, golden roses and turquoise sun-flowers. Outside was always the only place where Bill could really have any time to think to herself.
The two left the school building, strolling into the garden. Bill kicked off her converses and picked them up, tying the laces together and slinging them from her neck as she walked barefoot on the grass, enjoying the feeling of the blades tickled her feet.
"Yeah, this is my first year here." Bill said, almost distractedly as she picked a flower which had just grown from the grass at her feet. It was a normal daisy. She put it in Alicia's hair. It was a typical thing of Bill to do, as she was quite the zany person.
"I think I'm really most looking forward to the P.E. lessons where we have to do all those assault classes and all that. Apparently "Save the Citizen" is absolutely wild! But, I'm also really looking forward to doing the Science lessons, 'cause I used to blow up experiments at my old school all the time and I would always get told off for it, but here, I get an A+!!!" she said, beaming broadly.

Alicia, a rather serious person when she could be, was rather surprise when Bill put a daisy in her hair, but she hid it. So instead she smiled a thanks in reponse. Bill was drifting off into her own world as she spoke about her past.
Alicia chuckled kindly, "Yes, we'd get to experience the real excitement of experiments, unlike those normal chemistry classes. I'd like to make a nuclear bomb if we're allowed but we're probably suppose to learn how to safely deactivate bombs... I wonder how what those assault lessons would be like."
Alicia looked into the distance and wondered if her parents had ever been to a superhero highschool before. But the thought of them stimulated a sorrowful feeling in her heart, so she decided to play with her powers for a bit. She extended her powerful white wings through the slits on her blouse and soared upwards into the sunlight. Oh what freedom! Oh what joy it is to fly! Then Alicia landed softly beside Bill again and shrank her wings back into her body. The daisy had fallen out of her hair and was now swirling down to earth. Alicia reached up and caught it in her palm, then she placed it back into her hair.
"I hope saving lives using our special powers will become my greatest passion on top of interest in justice..." Alicia whispered to herself as she looked at the scenery.
Then she turned to Bill, "How're your eyes? Much more relaxed right?" she said, thnking that the colour natural green would do a lot to help Bill.

I've never really been able to control my powers much. I just... can't help but think that if I lose control... I'll injure someone..." Bill went into a daze as she sat down, rubbing the petals of a flower between her thumb and index finger. "How did you learn to control your powers so well? My... my parents. They... they didn't let me use my powers often, for fear of my losing control and uncovering our secret identities. I've never really used my powers other than for frivolous matters, like growing my garden or using electric charges to charge my phone on the go... This is when Alex popped around the corner or well into the area everyone was talking. She didn't like crowds but she was kicked out of her room, well forced. Apparently every new student had to explore and not rot in their rooms. Like she cared. She rolled her eyes as she marched passed Bill and who ever the heck was in the room. She found a seat in the back and plopped down. Anything better to do? She did have an itching to explore again, but what she really was excited for was the party crashing she was going to do tonight. Bill's palms itched when she heard Alex marching past them. She smiled to herself. Bill was definitely looking forward to crashing the welcome back party with Alex that night. It was going to be an absolute blast.
Lying back in the grass, Bill felt completely in her element. Earth control was the one element that she could control without something horrific happening, and she always felt comfortable when surrounded by nature. She watched blurry clouds surfing across the sky as they were blown along by the winds that blew miles above ground.
She placed her hands out to the side of her, palms down and relaxed. Bill felt completely and utterly in control as she summoned some flowers to grow around her. She could feel some plain and simple daisies growing around her fingertips and she smiled. Daisies; simple but beautiful.

If it were up to her to chose a flower it would be a rose. Roses were interesting. Any color would work even though the black rose was her favorite. She smiled at the thought then went back to observing the room thinking about different ways to crash the party tonight. Water balloons? Powdered balloons? Fire? FIRE! she smirked. Maybe a explosion...no..she wouldn't want to be kicked out on her own welcoming party...she continued to think.

They... they didn't let me use my powers often, for fear of my losing control and uncovering our secret identities. I've never really used my powers other than for frivolous matters, like growing my garden or using electric charges to charge my phone on the go... But you, you seem to be at ease when you're flying... how do you keep so in control?"
Alicia had been lost in her thoughts about her parents' mysterious death again and hadn't heard Bill talking beside her. When she realized that Bill was paying her a compliment and asking her questions, she was again surprised that Bill actually wasn't allowed to use her powers much.
"Oh yes, thank you, you're very kind..." Alicia tried to remember her parents, "Yes... my parents died long time ago on a rescue mission. My brother and I were informed by our godparents, trusted family friends. They're gifted too, so they encouraged us to control our powers ever since we've developed them. I'm normally confident about everything, but my powers made me uncertain till I started to actually accept them into my life. And then I learned to like it, so now I know to use my powers with true passion to do the right thing."
Then Alicia turned serious and her emerald green eyes flashed, "Don't worry, Bill, many people including myself have been uncertain about super powers. Sure, we can attend a SuperHero high school and learn to use our powers for good. But the professors can't force you to use them wisely. The choice to develop and control our powers lies within our decision. You'll notice that when you're in anger or frustration, you lose control of your powers. But when you truly accept your power with passion and confidence, you'll find that your powers seem to obey your every command. It took me a long time to embrace my powers, especially with the lost of comfort from my real parents. If you live in fear of losing control, you'll never learn to control them. But I trust that you will gain full control of your powers, because I can see that you have the potential, Bill." Slightly embarassed Alicia stopped talking, realizing that she probably talked too much. After all, she truly wanted to help others.
Then she was aware of the Alex sitting behind them with a crafty smile fixed on her face. Just as long as whatever she's planning doesn't do a lot of harm then I won't care.

The girl bumped into Ris. It didn't really hurt but she tried to drown out her voice so she wouldn't say 'ouch' or anything. It was bad enough that she was probably one of the only sidekicks this year. Damn you, Turner! She thought angrily. She turned to the girl who had bumped her. "Yeah," she said in a voice that was somewhat cold and careless at the same time, "I'm okay. My name's Iris, but most people call me Ris. I think it's kind of clear what my power is. You?"

((ok, Travel back in time))
Alicia had gottnen up and apologized. Iris introduced herself so Alicia did so too, "Right, I'm Alicia. You can call me Alice if you like. I can manipulate wind and fly." The girl sounded so angry. Oh right, Mr. Turner placed her in sidekick group. She must feel so useless. So as an attempt to make Iris feel better, Alicia kindly said, "I'm here because someone's demonstrating their water abilities. I can't stand a lot of water. It's pathetic isn't it? To be a hero but having such a major weakness... I'm sure you'll do well with your ability". Hearing the final splash of waves outside in the gym, Alicia calmed herself and felt courage filling her again. So she said a quick goodbye to Iris, "Hope to see you around!"

Bill listened in wonder to Alicia as she told her that controlling powers came from complete and utter acception of a power. Bill had never really found that she could easily accept that she had powers. Her powers had been an accident, and so she wasn't quite sure about her powers.
"It's just... you talk with such conviction about it. You completely know what you're talking about and you're so sure on what you want to do with your powers. But... for me, I... I don't even know if I'm cut out to be a hero." Bill said, closing her eyes, her brow furrowing. "I have strong emotions and even less control over them than I do my powers. If people rub me up the wrong way, even slightly, I explode in fire. I can't help it. People used to avoid me at my old school because of it. They thought that I was cursed or a jinx. My older brothers used to goad me to no end about it. They graduated last year, two of the best students this school had ever seen, and I have to live in their stinking good shadow."
Bill thought for a moment. She could feel fire playing on the end of her fingertips and the daisies under her palms were becoming scorched. Maybe what Alex had said was true; maybe Heroes wouldn't want to hang out with the oddball who couldn't control her powers. Maybe she wasn't cut out to be a Hero. Maybe the full extent of her powers could flourish in some other way...

Alicia looked thoughtful as Bill said this. The girl has no idea what to do... She shouldn't be forced. Alicia then tried in a soothing tone, "Well BIll, you have to learn what you want to do with your life. You have to find confidence within yourself. Normal people would obviously react in that way because they've never seen anyone like that before. Maybe it's in your blood to have a temper, so you should maybe try controlling yourself before your powers... Don't worry, you'll find out how you are special, how you are different from them. Don't start backing up from what you have the potential to be: a great hero... or if you go the other way, a powerful villain..." Alicia trailed off. THen she continued, "Just have your morals with you in whatever you choose to do. I'll support you even you become a villain because you're sure of your powers. When you do become one, it'll be my responsiblity to bring you down, that's all." she ended with small chuckle.
I doubt that my powers would be enough to stop her. She's the mischievous type, I know it. It'd really be a pity if she chose to be a villain though. Oh well.
"it's very close to lunch time isn't? Do you want to go to the cafeteria now?" ALicia stretched her limbs. Then she waited for Bill to go. Alicia didn't feel very hungry, she'll wait till later, maybe.
Amaury was walking sullenly through the lunch line, his ipod was blasting screamo and he was putting scarce amounts of food on his tray. He usually didnt need food to sustain him, and he was rarely hungry. But you had to eat to live, and he didnt really feel like dying so there he was in the cafeteria eating. Amaury saw no shadows anywhere so he was forced to walk over to the furthest corner in the cafeteria to eat. He was alone over there as he picked at his food, his ipod was still playing but he was getting tired of the screaming so he turned it off and shoved it into his pocket. Boy was he bored...

Alex had her music on. Blasting actually. She could careless if anyone mentioned anything, ha, she really wouldn't have heard them. She yawned as she grabbed her tray and found a spot to sit. She really didn't notice anyone around her as she sat down to eat. Alex looked down at her food and started to play with it. She made a face. It looked very nauseating and she didn't really want to eat it, but she brought it to her mouth and gag making another face. "Blech. I hate cold" she mumbled to herself. In a blink of an eye the plate made a glowing orange appearance and steam started to come from the food. She smirked and the heat extinguished and she put a forkful in her mouth.
Amaury looked up dismally from his plate and he was slightly amused by the fact that the girl thought she was completely alone, and furthermore that she decided to 'heat up' he food right in front of him. Meh, i prefer the cold actually... he thought with a laugh inside. Amaury cleared his throat obviously.
"Mind heating mine up too?" he asked, trying to keep the smirk off of his face and he found great pleasure in the expression he got from her, but he just kept a blank face while she just looked at him. His coal black eyes were burning and he swished his black hair from them while he waited for her response.

Alex froze. Had someone just talked to her? She blinked and looked up and tried to figure out what she had heard. She looked up and gave a half of smile and a shrug. Without even blinking twice the black haired kid's plate glowed the fiery orange. Then with a slight grin on her face and the roll of her eyes a fire started. She smirked and extinguished the fire leaving the plate, black with ashes of what used to be his lunch. She went back to eating her lunch. It took a lot of work from not looking up. Why was she even sitting at a table with someone else she had no idea. She just tried her best to ignore the fact she had played the awesome prank one someone. Ha. She wanted to laugh so hard, but restrained herself.

Bill had gone to the cafeteria quickly, eager to eat. Having spent so much time in the dark hidden passage, she hadn't been aware of just how hungry she had been until her stomach had rumbled as loudly as an Earth tremor. Tray in hand, she was going for the pre-packaged options. Bill had never been the type for cafeteria food.
She grabbed a packet of sandwiches, a bottle of some sort of fizzy drink and a packet of crisps. Just as she was about to go and pay, she considered grabbing an apple, but thought that a fresh apple would probably be nicer. As she payed, she concentrated her mind on the window outside the cafeteria. No one was watching as an apple tree grew up outside the window with one of its branches coming into the cafeteria, laden with fresh, juicy apples.
Bill picked one and looked around the Cafeteria, wondering where to sit, when she spotted Alex and Amaury sat at a table. For a moment, jealousy flared within her, much like dry bark catching fire, but she quelled it, realising that Alex wasn't boy obsessed, and so wasn't likely to be making moves on Amaury. But Bill was now shaking, shocked by how she had suddenly felt such hostility towards her friend.
Mentally, she shook herself and went over to sit with the two. "Hello!" she said as she put her tray down and sat next to Alex. "How are you two this fine lunch time??"
Oh great... Amaury thought. First my lunch, now my stalker is back. Just wonderful.
"I'll be back." Amaury said, his voice chilling. He scooped up his burned lunch tray and he walke over to the trash can, dumping the whole thing down. There was no chance of trying to recover it. But truthfully, Amaury wasnt angry. It really kinda amused him that she would react like that. Skipping in front of everyone int he line, Amaury just grabbed a tray and grabbed only a few things to eat and then sat back down at his table, where Bill was chattering away.

Bill looked up when Amaury had sat down again. She had been chattering away to Alex, wondering what was going to happen when they crashed the party. Bill had always been quite the practical joker, having always needed to protect herself against her older, twin brothers when they decided to declare prank wars on her.
She smiled in that strange lovey-dovey way when Amaury came back, her defences completely gone as he came back so unnoticed. She could feel herself blushing by merely being near to him. Bill quickly looked down at her tray instead, trying to hide her face, but she could just tell that her ears were bright red, judging by the burning sensation in the tips.
"So... erm, hi again, I guess..." she mumbled, quickly glancing up to speak to Amaury, her face bright red.

Alex couldn't help but smirk evilly. Lovey- Dovey Bill right next to her wouldn't shut up and now...now Bill was mumbling and acting all weird. She rolled her eyes and thought of the only way possible to help the 'poor confused girl.' (sarcastic of course) With a blink of an eye suddenly Bill's sleeve lit on fire. Alex jumped back throwing her plate at Amuary. "Oh gee, come on Bill, next time you decide to light a fire control it." she rolled her eyes and looked over at Amuary and snorted "oh...um right you can have that. I'm not so hungry anymore." she smirked laughing silently to herself as she grabbed her back and walked off leaving the two alone.
Once out of the cafeteria she laughed. Oh did she have a blast making people embarrassed and miserable and the plus side, she was good at it too!...in a funny weird way.

Bill went even redder as she tried to pat the flame out, but then remembered what she had been told - she needed to use her powers more. Concentrating, a thin film of water covered the palm of her hand, she then slapped that hand down over the fire, extinguishing it with a long, hissing noise.
Redder than ever, and incredibly embarrassed, Bill looked up sheepishly at Amaury, his emotionless face more emotionless than ever. Unable to meet his eye, Bill looked down and got up, taking her tray with her, dumping the last of the uneaten food into the bin, tears pricking at her eyes as everyone laughed at her, having all seen what had happened.
Deliberately, someone tripped her up as she hurriedly made her way to the door. Falling flat on the floor, she started to get angry. Her hair's electric sparks were replaced with sparks of fire and the floor underneath her hands became scorched.
"Careful, Sparky, don't go burning the place to the ground," the bully said to her, making her feel small.
Anger raged within Bill. Getting to her feet, she turned on the bully, taking a leaf out of Alex's book, as it were.
"You thought that was funny, eh?" she said menacingly, fire pricking at her palms. "Well, you know what, I think this is quite funny," she said as his jacket caught flame.
As the bully danced around trying to put out the fire, Bill turned and left, a satisfied smile beginning to spread across her face. No one else tried to stop her getting out of the cafeteria. No one was laughing anymore. They were cowering away from her, shocked at how easily she had done that to the boy, and with not so much as a look back.
Closing the cafeteria doors behind her, she saw Alex in the corridor, laughing her butt off. "Hello, Alex," Bill said, her voice not so menacing as earlier, but there was something unsettling about it, almost as though she had fully decided what she wanted to do now.

Alicia had decided that she was famished after all and had gone to the cafeteria for quick lunch so she could explore the school for the afternoon instead. She had seen Bill eating her lunch with Alex and Amaury when she paid for her food: a slice of apple pie, ceasar wrap, and a bottle of juice.
Munching on her wrap, she was about to leave the cafeteria when she saw Bill putting out a fire on her sleeve and rushing after Alex. A bully had tripped her making her face turn red. And she retaliated by lighting up his jacket, but not leaving without a satisfied smile. Alicia felt that the bully got what he deserved, but it was Bill's smile and the light in her eyes that disturbed her. Hadn't she planted that seed in Bill's mind to take courage and be resolute in her decision? It seemed very much so that Bill had already taken a step toward her decision.
Sighing, Alicia knew that she couldn't back up on her words now. She had said she would support Bill. Frowning, she left through the doors, finishing her wrap and starting on her pie. Spotting a laughing Alex and a determined-looking Bill, Alicia looked at Bill and said, "Well, see you later then!" Then she turned the corner and left, feeling half-glad that she helped someone and yet half-sad.

Bill turned to see Alicia running away. In that split second, Bill had seen the look of, what was it? Almost disappointment? For that split second in time, Bill had realised what she had done, and she felt herself shaken, absolutely horrified at what she had done. But then she remembered how good she had felt when she had lit up that guy's jacket. The satisfied smile began to creep onto her face again, but Bill quickly wiped it from her face.
She looked to her hands and realised that she had used her powers wrongly. What would her parents say? Her first day at her new school, and she was already exhibiting bad behaviour. Why? Was it because it made her feel good when she did something to the other people? Was it because she liked to see someone dancing around in a mad attempt to put out the fire?
Wrestling with her conscience, Bill ran away from the area near the cafeteria. She needed time to think, time to breathe, time to be at home in her own element. A gust of powerful wind ripped down the corridor, throwing the doors into the garden open as Bill charged through, trying to run away from not only what she had just done, but her conscience.
As she ran, a quote came into her head. She didn't know where it was from, but it was true. Things must be done for the right reasons.
Bill stopped in the middle of the field. "Things must be done for the right reasons."

Alex stood and watched Bill, her arms crossed across her chest and sighed as she followed the girl "Look, Bill, life goes on. It'll die down in a few days...weeks...maybe even months, but hey, you'll be popular for a while. I mean...that was some stunt you pulled." she smirked and rolled her eyes. Then as she realized that Bill wasn't really in the mood of laughing she sighed "Okay Bill, if you really want to impress this guy of yours...you'll need something to talk about, right?" she said raising an eyebrow at the poor freshman. Alex had no idea what she was going to do. Maybe Bill was right, maybe they were friends...
Alex bit her lip "okay, come on, we don't have class at 3 so come to my room and we'll talk okay. NO one else though." she said firmly "Oh and make sure you're ready for the party, that is going to be a blast cause we're going to crash it no matter what mood we're in." she smirked, patted Bill on the back and headed off feeling good about herself, something she hadn't done in a while.

Bill smiled gratefully. "You seem to forget, Alex, but we don't have any lessons today. It's only the first day back..." Bill said, only then noticing that Alex had already gone. She smiled slightly, still wrestling with her conscience as she sat down on the grass, sighing.
It was only mid day and Bill was happy to be in the sun for a while longer. She just didn't know what to do. Her scene in the canteen had really shaken her, but it had been so satisfying to light that bully's jacket up. But then, everyone else had stood away from her in a stunned silence, almost as though they had been afraid of her.
Bill closed her eyes and lay back on the grass, trying to make sense of it all. She had attacked with intent to harm someone who had merely tripped her up as she left the canteen. She had felt such satisfaction with herself after doing so. But now, she was really shocked at herself for having done something so... horrid.
"What's wrong with me?" she said to herself out loud. "One day in a new school, and my moralistic ways have already flown right out of the window. I have always known that people feared my temper in my old school, but here, it was nearly unprovoked. Am I meant to be a Hero, or..." Bill paused, drawing a shuddering breath. "A Villain?"

Alex was actually in a wonderful mood. Yet even though she knew there weren't any classes she needed some excuse to sneak away into the storage room she found earlier and get some stuff for the party crashing they were going to do. Plus she needed more time to figure out what in the world she was going to tell Bill. How would she know what a boy wants to talk about? How about the fact she grew up hanging around boys all the time.
Alex leaned against the wall of the storage room and sighed. She wasn't a people person. She groaned and picked up some confetti spray bottles and she smirked at the thought of who she might hit. Where was Bill when she needed her.
Wait!? What is this? How is it on her first day of school she changes and goes against everything she ever did and is making a friend. Was she truly a villain?

Mraz watched the scene with Bill and the bully-boy. She set him on fire. Nice.... she thought, rolling her eyes. Then a thought ooccured to her. Wait, when did Bill become a villian person? I thought she was an overly happy, goody-goody type person. Maybe I was wrong.... she shrugged to herself. Wasn't her problem.
But she still wondered what changed her. Maybe the pressure of a new school was on her. Or maybe she made a new, influential friend. Or maybe she was just bipolar. Mraz shrugged again, and dumped her tray.

Bill turned her head away from the sun as she lay on the grass. It was bright outside, and she was still having difficulty coming to terms with what had just happened, so she didn't really want to have the sun shining in her eyes when trying to make sense of a huge mess.
Opening one of her eyes just a crack, Bill found herself looking straight in through the windows of the cafeteria at the dancing figure of the boy who was still trying to put out the flames on his jacket, only now he was being aided by one of the teachers, armed with a fire extinguisher. The satisfied smirk began to tug at Bill's lips, but the moment was short lived when a large, ominous shadow covered her.
Guiltily, Bill looked up to see the angry-looking face of the Principal of the school. Not a word was said to Bill, but she knew that she was in trouble. Silently, Bill got to her feet and dusted the grass off her back.
In minutes, Bill was sat in the blinding white of the detention room, all alone, her thoughts driving her crazy. She needed company. By nature, Bill wasn't the best person when left on her own. She needed to be with someone, even if they were silent, she just didn't like being left to her own devices. She never knew what would happen then. If only Alex or Alicia were in there with her, even if they had to be quiet. Even Mraz's company would have sufficed Bill, even though they would probably find some sort of way to attack each other.

Alex was being dragged away. "Hey! Oh come on! It wasn't me this time... honest!" she groaned as she was caught trying to take things from the teachers closet. Like she knew that the potions in there belonged to the teacher? How was she to know. But of course, she did know that...and she did do that on purpose, she tried to sneak out of the room but the stupid kid that decided to pick on goth girl bumped into her making her knock down one of the bottles allowing it to explode...everywhere.
The next thing Alex knew she was being dragged into a white room. It took a while for her eyes to adjust to what was in the room. After blinking a few times she made out Bill sitting there as well. Alex sighed "This is detention?" she groaned again and turned to the doors "hey let me out of here! I can do what I want! It didn't have a sign saying it belonged to the teacher! I was just planning on pranking a few kids...that doesn't deserve detention!?" she yelled she gritted her teeth and sat down in a seat next to Bill. She raised an eyebrow at her but didn't say anything. Now she had to search all over again for supplies to crash the party since they were all just recently confiscated.
"Amaury Dimmur?" a man in a nicely pressed suit walked up to him in the cafeteria. Amaury was about to sunker off into some dark area and listen to his music. He was quite bored with no classes or anything. Not like he actually wanted to learn, but at least it gave him something to do.
"Sir?" he said in his deep tone.
"Come with me."
And with that, Amaury followed the man, who he realized was the new principle, and he was led into a room that already occupied the Alex girl and, of course, Bill. Amaury rolled his eyes and slunk into the chair in the corner.
"I suppose this is your fault...." he said into the silent aura of the room, but he was saying it directly at Bill, and his voice sounded especially chilly.

Bill smiled when Alex came into the detention room. She didn't know why Alex was also there, but she now appreciated the company, even though not a word was spoken between them. She guessed that it wasn't anything to do with lighting up Bill's jacket, because Alex had so expertly made that look like it had been Bill. It was probably something to do with their planned prank for that night.
As she opened her mouth to say something, the door opened again and Bill looked up to see the Principal coming in, followed by Amaury. Bill's heart fluttered when she saw him and she had to stop herself from staring. She looked down to the white desk at which she was sat and played with her fingers.
She nearly jumped when Amaury spoke to the silent room, especially when she realised that Amaury was directing his iciness at Bill. Even though it sounded so threatening, Bill still found his voice so... dreamy was the only word she would be able to voice her thoughts on his voice.
"Erm... I-I'm confused... I don't know why you're here.... not that I'm not happy to see you, but I have no idea..." IDIOT! she mentally yelled at herself. You're making yourself look a fool in front of him... AGAIN!
"Perhaps because I was a witness...." he told her coldly. This was not what he exactly planned to do on his one free day at this school. He was not a very happy camper at that moment and the fact that she was stammering like an idiot wasnt making it better. Amaury sighed and put his black hood over his head, masking his usually dark face in shadow. His music was screaming in his ears, but he was not really paying any attention... he was completely blank minded and faced. He didnt want to deal with emotion right then.

Alex sighed at Bill. She was obviously doing it again. Alex wasn't in the mood for emotions and Bill's mistakes. Alex put her feet up on the desk and leaned her head back looking up at the white ceiling.
She really could careless about detention she was always in detention, used to it by now too. The only thing bothering her was the fact she had no supplies to crash the party and no access to the passageway. She sighed trying to think of another way...but then she realized who was in the room with her and an evil grin grew across her face.
Alex sat up straight and tapped her desk with her fingers and cleared her throat. She got Bill's attention but Amaury was still in his screamo world. She leaned forward and tapped him on the shoulder "hey shadow boy, I got something to say, might interest you, since it looks like you got nothing better to do and I'm new to this place." she smirked as she was getting excited.

Bill couldn't believe what Alex was doing. She was making a move on Amaury! Jealousy flared up inside Bill, like kindling catching fire. Her whole body tensed and her body-language became quite sinister. Her hands curled into fists. The fists were so tight that her knuckles cracked loudly, resounding ominously in the acoustics of the detention room. One of her eyes twitched, and, had her powers been non-suppressed, earthquakes would be almost certain.
It shocked Bill when she managed to get a hold of herself. Her insane jealousy scared her. She'd never been jealous of anyone like this, since she had never been majorly crushing on someone before. The last time that she had been jealous of someone, it had been incredibly insignificant, but Bill's reactions had led to the subject of her jealousy being hospitalised.
Forcing herself to turn away, Bill put her head down onto the desk, in between her stretched-out arms, willing herself to relax. To get the anger and jealousy out of her head, she had to visit her happy place. Bill closed her eyes and imagined rushing water-falls in a lush jungle, running into a pool of water that reflected the beautiful blue sky. Bill calmed down after seeing the calming sights, but she was shaking from the shock of how jealous she had been. Bill had always worn her heart on her sleeves, but her emotions had never been quite so violently strong.

Alex sighed. Bills temper was flaring again, this girl was a bit predictable. Also to her great joy, Amuary was still with his screamo music so he wouldn't hear a thing...yet.
She made sure the guard at the door wasn't looking when she raised her hand and smacked Bill on the head. "You idiot its about the party. I need your help." she said raising an eyebrow at Bill. Then she whispered "I'm giving you another chance to act normal around the shadow guy without embarrassing yourself." she sighed, in fact she really was giving the two another chance. "Plus, I need you're help. I can't do this alone. They took all my stuff." she said a bit hurt that Bill would think she was there to hurt Bill like that. Plus, Shadow boy wasn't her type.
She turned to Amaury, glanced at Bill to fix herself up for the guy, and then tapped on Amaury's shoulder again, just a bit harder so he'd actually have a response.
Amaury paused his music and yanked a headphone out of his ear. His eyes flashed with anger and annoyance. His facial expression was quite intenses and he glared at the girl who tapped him.
"What?" he snapped, his voice echoed in the room. Amaury was, clearly irked and annoyed, but also curious on why anyone would want/need to talk to him. Obviously he wasnt a man of many words, but there were times when he wondered why people even bothered. Why was this girl bothering now?

Bill looked up from her desk, smiling slightly. Her face was still tinged a light pink, from her furious blushing earlier on. "Well, I had a ton of pre-prepared prank ideas for use at my old school to ruin welcome-home dances and all that stuff, and I always found that water-balloons filled with paint, whitewash or easy-to-clean dyes tend to go down a treat with the pranksters. It's quite hilarious when you chuck them at unsuspecting victims. Another one that I always loved was to rig the electrical appliances, especially TVs, and set them so that they come on randomly. I find that that might work well if the party is being held in the social ((socials are large, hang-out places used in schools :D)), because there are several radios, a large TV, and several cooking appliances. We can record evil-laughter onto a CD or something, and hot wire the stuff to play it randomly after a *ahem* 'power cut'."
Bill smiled mischievously. She had hundreds of other pranks, but these weer some of her absolute favourites.
"Whatever..." Amaury grumbled and he plugged himself back into his iPod. This was pretty childish on his terms. He always considered himself as a villian, but being a villian doesnt necessarily mean that you always had to go around stirring up nonsensical trouble. Being a villian could be as simple as just not doing good. Amaury prefered to keep the trouble to a low, but when it came to fights and all, he always held the upper hand. His power helped him that way.
Amaury looked up for a second and saw the absolutely crushed expression on Bill's face and the annoyed one on the goth girls face. He really had no pity for either of them, but he just wanted them to stop staring.
"Fine. I'll show up." he told them coldly.

Bill felt rather crushed that Amaury wasn't really enthusiastic about causing trouble at the big do that everyone was going to. It was going to be hilarious, and Bill knew it. She thought he would like to do something like that, seeing as he had a villainous air about him. However, it occurred to Bill that not all villains wanted to cause trouble; they just wanted to not do good. This confused Bill a bit, but she shook it off as she looked back down at her notebook.
"So, Amaury," Bill started, struggling to keep her voice neutral. "How are you going to h-help?" Shoot! Bill thought. I've made myself look stupid again with that small stutter!!! Why can't I just be cool around him, like I normally am around other guys? Is it because I don't even quite know who I am anymore, or what? Urgh. All these philosophical thoughts are hurting my brain.
Amaury stared at Bill witrh no expression wavering on his fame. His coal black eyes bore into hers and he swished his hair from his face slightly. "I will show up." he told her simply. He didnt really want to participate at all, but the annoyance level of Bill and the goth girl was reaching and all time high. Amaury understood that she wanted to impress him, but she was doing exactly what he hated most of all. He hated over dramatic, trying to act cool, i-am-gonna-stalk-my-crush-until-he-likes-me, kind of girls. They annoyed him to no end. Amaury could only imganine the torture he would endure when the dance would arise. They switched off every other year and this year, unfortunatly, was a girl choice. Amaury focused his thoughts back to the present for a moment.
"What else would I do?" he added with comtempt.

"I don't know... that's why I was asking..." Bill said, hurt evident in her voice. She didn't mean to act all boy-crazy over Amaury, but it was difficult. She'd never really had a crush before, and so she was inexperienced when it came to being herself when she was around him. At her old school, she had had a male friend, but he ended up getting scared off because of what usually happened to people when Bill was angry with them.
Bill, who was already leaning on her desk, crossed her arms and rested her chin on the cross of her arms. She hummed tunelessly as she thought, trying to think of something else to do that wouldn't have Amaury being rude, contemptuous or disparaging towards her.

Alex was thinking through ideas. She wasn't in the mood for the two lovey dovey moments. She too moved to a position with her head resting on her hands. They thought long and hard. Then she suggested "what if we did something to scare or surprise them?" she asked "not just a crash...like entertainment. These thing are usually boring right?" she asking Amuary. What else could they possibly do? Hide in the shadows...glow...put on scary costumes and attack the teachers? She smirked at all the possibilities. Just what would they choose?

"We could... rig a fight or something. Like an absurd villain swoops in to attack, played by one of us, and then the other two stand out of the crowd to fight and when some teachers come to protect the students, we could turn on the teachers and attack them...?" Bill was good when it came to pranks, but her number one rule for pranking was to make sure that no one could get hurt. That was where she failed at what Alex was wanting them to do.
She leaned her head on her hand and tried to think. They had a while left in detention, and already the atmosphere in there was quite uncomfortable. There was Amaury who was making Bill feel incredibly uncomfortable with his sour demeanour. Then there was Alex trying to think up something crazy to crash the party. And then there was Bill, majorly crushing on Amaury, hiding it badly, and desperately trying to fit in with Alex and what she was like, and kind of failing.

Corny grumbled quietly to herself as she was led to the detention room, the door sliding shut behind her. Making a face at the door as the teacher walked away, she plonked herself down at an empty desk, pulling the book and packet of gummy bears out of her pocket, and continued reading, paying no attention to the others in the room.
As it was the first day for the new students, they had a free day to go explore the school and get to know their surroundings. However, previous pupils were given their timetables and told to go to class.
The first things on Corny's timetable? Maths, Georgraphy, and Hero Help.
Maths and Georgraphy were bearable (Sidekicks were given 'normal' classes, as well as Hero Help and Sidekick Studies), but Hero Help was enough to drive her crazy. It was an hour of sitting listening to how she would never measure up to her parents expectations, how she would never be a true 'Hero'.
So she had skipped the morning's lessons, and lunch, grabbing a book from her dorm and sitting outside underneath a new apple tree which seemed to have sprouted from no-where, munching on her gummy-bears.

The awkward atmosphere in the detention room was relieved when Bill looked up and saw Corny being led into the room. Bill immediately brightened up at the sight of her friend. She always felt more cheerful when she was with her best friend.
"Corny, why're you here? What have you gone and done?" Bill asked, breaking the silence. "I haven't seen you all day. Have you been, like, hiding in a cupboard with a cupcake or something?" She asked, a grin tugging at her lips. "I thought we had a day off for the first day or something..."

((Ahaha... the glowing cupcake incident...))
Corny looked up as she saw Bill sitting a few desks away, along with that shadow boy, and the girl who had firey hair on the bus.
"Yeah, its only a free day for those who are new. People who have been here for more than a year, don't have that luxury. I skipped half my classes. Like I'll even need to pass Hero Help. No hero would want my help." she stated, eating another gummy bear.
"What did you do? I mean, I thought you were such a sweet little angel." she grinned. "Wan't a gummy bear? I still have heaps left from this morning."

"Yes please!" Bill said as she took a Gummy Bear from Corny. She got a green one. They were her favourites. However, instead of eating it, Bill just had to be childish, after all, she was with her best friend in the world. "Oh I'm a Gummy Bear, yes I'm a Gummy Bear!" she sang in a cutesy gummy bear voice, making the green gummy bear dance around like in the hit youtube video. Before she finished the song, however, Bill just plopped it in her mouth. She loved Gummy Bears, after all.
"So, yeah. Guess you didn't think I'd land myself in detention on the first day, eh? It's not like me at all..." Bill said, trailing off slightly in thought. "Anyways, I'm in here because some idiot in the canteen thought that it would be funny to trip me up after Alex here," Bill said, jabbing her thumb in Alex's direction. "Decided it would be funny to try and embarrass me. Well, I wasn't very happy at the time with this stupid bully tripping me up, so... I... well... I ignited his jacket." Bill paused for a second here. "But, I know it sounds bad to say this, it felt good." She paused again here, thinking. Dragging her desk-chair-thing closer to Corny's she then talked to her properly. "Do you remember how in our old school, people used to stay away from me because of my temper and how I refused to use my powers for fear of losing control like I did when I lost my temper? People used to tease me, just to see how far they could push the freaky girl to the edge. I hated it. But now, I'm using that negative energy and I feel so much more powerful than I have ever done before..."

"What are you talking about?" Amaury asked her with a glare. "Nobody has classes. I should know." His face pulled into a sneer and he stood up.
"I'm done here." Amaury opened up the door and simply walked out of the detention room, because he knew that popwers didnt work in the detention room. It only took a matter of time before he swifted himself away and ended up in one of the secret tunnels of the school. It was nice and dark in there. Amaury felt, for some odd reason, incredibly upset. It was a feeling hadnt experienced in a while. Usually he is just angry or apathetic... but he just felt unusually upset and agitated.

Alex rolled her eyes at the girls. For once she agreed with the goth guy. She got up and followed him out. Soon enough she felt the sparks of her anger at her fingers. This probably meant her powers were back under her control.
It didn't take her long to find one of those secret tunnels. She walked in to the tunnel and lit the way for herself. She found a nice comfortable spot and lay her head against the wall as she sat down as she pulled her knees up to her chest. She sighed deeply thinking about..everything. All she needed was a bit of piece and quiet. Alex knew a place like this would be the best place to find that.

"Y-you what!? You set him on fire?" Corny cried, in shock. She knew her friend could have particularly bad mood swings, but never had she done something like that before. and there was that last comment...
But now, I'm using that negative energy and I feel so much more powerful than I have ever done before...
Corny rolled her eyes as the other pair stalked out of the room. "Ugh. Anyway, want another gummy bear? Help yourself, they're there to be eaten." Corny told Bill, pointing to the bag as she stuffed her book back in her schoolbag and swung it over her shoulder.
"So, you going to that party thing for the new students? I hear it's later tonight. You'd meet a heap of new friends who are new here. Oh listen, I'm turning into my mother..." she sighed, opening the door to detention whilst picking up the bag of sweets from the desk.

Bill smiled and began to laugh. She loved hanging around with Corny. They had been friends for practically forever, and Bill just loved being crazy with her. Taking a handful of gummy bears, the two began to walk towards their common room.
"Meh, I'm not really sure about the party. I don't really want to go to it. The only thing I'm doing is pulling pranks on it with Alex. Do you want to join us? It'll be a blast, and we can cause absolute havoc and mayhem..."

Alex showed up behind them and frowned and stared at them her angry glare. "okay dude, Bill it was suppose to be us." she wasn't very happy that Bill had just invited her friend...what ever her name was. She sighed "but now we can't let the fun let loose, so you gotta come, no choices. You're in." she said looking at the other girl. Then she looked at the two "well...any ideas of what we're going to do...we're still trying to think of something sick to do...something that won't be forgotten." she grinned evilly.

"What, you're not even giving me a choice? Sheesh. What if I dont want to go to this party? What if I dont want to cause havoc? What if I dont want to ruin someone's night? Huh?" she snapped at Alex, and turned back to Bill.
For a moment, there was a part of her that had wanted to go ruin these peoples night. To cause a little havoc on the people who had made her miserable because of her useless power. But she shook her head. It wouldn't do any good.
Would it?
She stuffed the bag of sweets in her pocket and stalked out of the detention room, thoughts whirling around in her head. There had always been a part of her that was totally against doing anything wrong - her superhero parents had played a big part in that - but there had also been a little thought nagging her at the back of her brain.
Corny had sometimes let her thoughts wonder to what she would do if she became wat she decribed as 'one of the evils'. People constantly made fun of her useless power, and she so longed to get ack at them all. She wanted someone to tell her that her power was useful, not for her parents to go "Oh, you glow. It'll have to do" and ship you off to a school where they wont have to see you.
Flopping down on her bed in her dorm, she threw her bag on the ground and buried her face in her pillow.
Maybe she would go to the party...

"I don't really know what to do, Alex," Bill said, turning to the older girl. "But, whatever we do, we need to make it something really epic. I'll go and think some stuff through in my dorm. See you later," Bill said as she shouldered her bag and left the detention room, heading towards the dormitories and going to hers. She saw Corny inside, face down on her pillow, evidently thinking about something.
Trying to not disturb her, Bill went over to her bed beside Corny's and flopped down on her own bed, mind racing.
"Are you ok, Corny?" Bill asked, breaking the silence. It felt rather awkward between them, and she wasn't sure why. Had she said something wrong to her when telling her what she had done? Bill wasn't sure.

Alex snorted. She disliked people, she really did. Its not that she hated them, its just...urg, they had issues with listening. Sighing, she sat in her own spot trying to figure out what to do next. What would be the best thing to do.
Exploding balloons? She could do that on her own, fill up a whole bunch of balloons with water- Bill could do that. Then have someone fly them around the room ...kinda like an orbit. Then she was smirk at everyone in the room and not even blink as every single balloon would explode on every single person. Ha! Epic! Then she sighed, but they'd know it was balloons full of water. So scratch the flying around idea...how about if they were hidden in the shadows? -Amaury?

"Are you ok, Corny?" Bill asked, breaking the silence.
Corny jumped a little, rolling onto her side to face Bill, sighing.
"Yeah I-I'm fine." she muttered, praying to whatever force that was up there that she sounded convining at least. She always was a bad actress. "Just... just a bit tired, s'all."
She sat up, stretching and facing Bill once more. "Uh... just out of curiousity... what were you all planning for this party tonight. I mean, if it's noting too extreme, I might join you..." she asked Bill, staring at her feet.
Hah! Even if it was 'extreme', Corny had made up her mind. She was going. She deserved some fun, a chance to annoy the people who annoy her, didn't she?
A little fun never hurt anyone, didn't it?
