In New York City, crime rates are sky-rocketing. No one knows why, and no one has thought to find out. They just catch the criminals as they come. But as more and more crimes are occurring, the police, FBI, and CIA just can’t keep up with them all.
So this is their "logical solution." Take kids, 14-17, from alternative schools, kids that have had trouble with crimes, kids that have disorders that can be used to their advantage, and so on. They take these kids and train them to be mini FBI agents. They think that if they had trouble with crime, they can think how criminals think. If they have a disorder like ADHD, they can use the extra energy.
They also take some “gifted” kids, from regular public and private schools. Kids that are extremely smart, kids with photographic memories, kids that are overly creative, ect, make up the gifted category.
So after getting permission from their parents, the FBI take these kids out of school one day, and drive them to the FBI headquarters where they are briefed and begin training. The training will last four weeks, and then they are going to be sent out to try and take care of smaller crimes, like robberies, while police take care of the more problematic ones. But when the kids discover the secret to the sky-high crime rates, will they report it to their FBI superiors, or handle it themselves?

Name: Aislinn O'Malley
Nickname: Ash
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Personality: Serious when the situation calls for it but is easily distracted when she doesn't need to concentrate. She is also very compassionate and would do anything to save her comrades.
Appearance: Aislinn is very tall for her age with strongly built arms and legs which are a good help when it comes to chases and situations where strength is needed. Her skin is rather pale and she has a mop of shoulder-length brown, curly hair which she always wears in a pony tail. Her eyes are a startling blue that is a stark contrast to her hair.
Why They Were Chosen: Incredibly gifted and always needed to be pushed in school. She often used to get into trouble because she would hack into the school's system to make the exams tougher in order to push her. When she was younger, she'd been involved with a criminal gang as she was extremely impressionable when she was a child and was made to hack into networks to disable security systems, allowing the gang to rob mansions and banks. She was caught but that wasn't enough to stop her from her hacking tendencies. Her talents as a hacker are useful for gathering information, as with her incredible logic which helps her to break codes and locks. She was also quite athletic and so is a useful field operative, due to the fact that she can get in and out of difficult scrapes easily.
Alternative, Public, or Private school: A bad Public School, due to lack of family funds to send her to a good school.
Background: She comes from a large family who all have criminal records. She is the youngest of seven children, five of which were in the criminal gang that used her hacking abilities to their advantage. She mostly wears her brothers' hand-me-downs and she never had the best of anything as she grew up.
Other: When working undercover, she always tucks her hair into a cap and wears her baggiest clothes that are hand-me-downs from her brothers to make herself seem like a guy. She always wears a modified Swiss Knife Card on a chain around her neck, in which has a small penknife, a pen, a skeleton key and a memory stick containing important files such as viruses to disable systems and other tools of her trade.

((I guess we can start now. If anyone else wants to join, jump in whenever!))
Blake had been bored in math class, staring out the window, when a black van with tinted windows pulled up in front of her school. That was weird. Their school never got visitors. It was a boarding school.
A few minutes later, an announcement came on. "Blakelyn Andrews, you are needed in the office." it announced, static-y. Why do I have to go to the office? What could I have done....? Blake thought, wonderingly. The last time she ha stolen anything was... a while ago. She couldn't be getting caught for that now, could she? Either way, she grabbed her stuff, including her shoulder bag, and walked to the office.
When she got there, there was a man and a women at the counter. The woman hand kind eyes and a warm smile, while the man stood off to the side, still wearing his sunglasses. "What is it?" Blake asked, bluntly. She woman smiled anyway. "You're going to come with us, Blakelyn. We have your bags all packed an are with us. We can explain later." Blake opened her mouth to ask questions, and to complain about being called by her full name, but the man shot her a look telling her to just come. So, she did just that, and walked out into the car with the strange man and pleasant woman. "So, why the heck am I here?" Blake asked, kind of annoyed about not knowing what was happening.

In his own dormitory, Antonio von Hertzen was on his laptop typing up a 600-word essay about nuclear energy for his physics class. To him, this was an easy assignment and this was his last piece of homework to be handed in before the month was over and he can go home for a few days. Anton wouldn't have gone to school if he had a choice, because his believed that his intelligence surpassed all professors in this private school. He only stayed because he wanted to pay tribute to his parents by obeying one of their wishes.
Suddenly, Anton's watch played a classical tune so he tapped the answer button on its screen. He listened carefully with eyebrows raised as Lucas talked about FBI coming to retrieve him. "It's a nice change from your criminal ways, Anton. I think I'd join if I didnt have to take care of this business. So good luck and I'll see you as soon as I can." Anton wished his brother a good time at home alone while he's gone for a 4-week training with the FBI. Amazing. They found out about my illegal acitivities, and now they're offering a chance to redeem myself and join forces with them instead. Sure, this sounds interesting. Anton dashed about in his dorm and packed and all his gadgets into his backpack. The announcement went on and requested him to get to the front entrance immediately. He put on his blazer, decorated with different badges, over his shirt, tie, and vest, and dashed down to the school entrance. A man with sunglasses and a smiling woman, both dressed professionally, were waiting for him. "Antonio von Hertzen?" she asked, and continued when he nodded and shook her hands, "Nice to meet you. Your brother has already given us permission to take you with us, and your things are already packed. We'll explain further details later." She smiled and the man opened the door of a van for him. Anton nodded and went in the car in his usual prince-like manner. Insided there was already an irriated girl with icy-blue eyes and dark brown hair seated on one side, so he sat on the opposite side and acknowledged her with a nod.

"Hello class, my name is Mrs. Forestt," the substitute teacher said smiling at the class. She's lying, Claire thought, her smile is faked and her eyes look like they want to look at something other than us. Her hands are skirting around wanting to grab onto something and her neck is incredibly raised and uncomfortable. Suddenly Claire's thoughts were interupted by the loudspeaker.
"Claire Evans, you are needed in the office," the PA boomed. Claire grunted, they had pronounced her name wrong again. It isn't that hard to say ee-verns, was it?
Claire sighed and got out of her seat going out the door.
***
After correcting the principal again about the misspelling of her name she asked him quickly, 'Am I in trouble?" The principal shook his head. Claire noticed his smirk and his rather laidback manner. This was true. Claire breathed sighing.
"Miss Evans-"
"Evens."
"Claire" the principal ignored her, "go outside through the door by the music hall and turn right." Claire with a raised eyebrow obeyed and when she got outside and turned right saw a car and two adults.
"Who are you?" She asked uncomfortably.
"We're from the FBI," the woman smiled, " but the question might be, who exatcly are you?"
"My name is Sarah Frost," Claire lied, "Is there like a bomb in the school?" She gulped and looked at them.
"Miss Evens, will you please get in the car?"
Claire paused, no one ever knew who she was. With a mouth open in shocked she climbed into the car.

((psst... Kalik, I already said the car was a van. :) ))
Blake quickly nodded at the boy who sat across from her. She didn't like him. He seemed like a rule-follower, a perfectionist, the opposite of her. He was dressed very professionally, while she had changed out of her uniform when she got in the back of the car. In ripped jeans, a plain black shirt, and a cargo jacket, she was much more comfortable. She tapped her foot, tied her converses, and bounced her leg. She looked around the car. it was set up with two bench seats facing each other, then behind her where the trunk usually was was a complicated mess of computers and gadgets. High tech, and awesome looking. She was a bit of a techno-geek, nothing major, but she loked messing with computers and other electronics. Why did they have all this stuff? Finally, her curiosity got the better of her.
"Umm... dude?" Blake blurted. "Sorry, you didn't tell us your name. Yeah, why are we here? Are we in trouble? Because I swear, I've.... hardly ever stolen things." she said. This was a lie. She was involved in some major theft when she was younger, but now a days she would only help out people on little things every once in a while, or snatch an extra ice cream at lunch. Nothing big. When she got no answer, she continued. "Well, it doesn't look like we're in trouble. Is this like, the CIA? FBI?" she asked, curiously.

Aislinn "Ash" O'Malley was sat in the ICT suite, if a room with twenty 10 year-old computers that hardly worked could be called an ICT suite, of her crummy school. It was the only school that her Dad could afford for her to go to, and it was terrible. She tapped idly away at the least-dilapidated keyboard, creating a new virus, planning to crash the school's newest computer system and hack into the principal's computer to up the difficulty of the upcoming exams. She didn't care that the other people were going to get lower grades, they didn't care much themselves, in order to have a much harder exam to write.
Ash was incredibly gifted and intelligent, but her family was incredibly impoverished and the entire family of seven had reverted to crime. Her five brothers were a criminal gang who had put her hacking abilities to use in bank robberies by disabling the security systems and her lock-picking and code-breaking to get into vaults. She had a criminal record after they got caught when a heist went wrong, due to her eldest brother getting shot. He was now in prison. Her Mother was in a high-security cell for attempted Murder and Kidnap, and her Father was a petty thief.
Sighing, she tapped enter, sending the virus coursing through the system and logged off when she saw the other computers go under.
Putting her chair under the desk, Ash turned off the light and left the room, walking into a teacher as she left.
"Ayshlin, there's someone who wants to see you in the Principal's office."
"It's Ash-linn. You say it ASH, like the tree, and LINN like vioLIN." she said, irritated at how all the teachers managed to get her name wrong. She followed the teacher into the office and saw a tall man wearing a black suit, his eyes obscured by big, black sunglasses.
"Aislinn O'Malley, I'm from the FBI, and we think that we can put your talents to use."
After half an hour of explanation, Ash was following the man out to the big, black van with its tinted windows and got in and watched the dilapidated exterior of her school fade away as the van pulled out of her school.
She heard shuffling in the other seats and saw that there were three other individuals in the Van with her, all of the teens, about her age. She turned to them, seeing a look of almost disgust at the fact that she had been selected from such a crummy school.
Ash didn't bother to make conversation, she wasn't the most open of people unless she was willing to be friends.
Ash saw the others wearing school uniforms, except for one girl, and felt rather that she stuck out like a sore thumb, wearing tatty hand-me-downs from her brothers. She shifted uncomfortably in her seat and looked at her baggy jeans, her skater sneakers and scruffy shirt.

Blake was getting very annoyed. She wasn't getting any answers, and no one was talking, or really seemed to want to talk. Soon they were out on a road that seemed to be in the middle of no where, no house, buildings, anything.
Since she had gotten in the car, three more people had joined her. A boy, and two girls. All seemed to be about her age, but none of them seemed particularly inclined to introducing herself. I guess it's up to me to make the first move. Blake thought, sighing. "So, introductions? Anyone?" she asked, pointedly.

Elijah Springwood climbed into the Black van, or rather he was pushed all the while trying to explain that he had found the hundred dollar bill in an already open locker. Honestly did he look like the kind of kid that would steal?
'Okay let me rephrase that,' He thought 'Do I look like the kind of kid that would steal a whole hundred dollars?' He paused in his thoughts 'Unfortunetly yes.' He took the time to inspect his surroundings. It was a van with a boy and to girls sitting across from each other. And while he had been thinking one of the girls had asked some one to begin introductions. No one was speaking so he spoke up. "I'm Eli and this," He said fishing around in his Trench coat pocket and pulling out his brown rat. "Is Scamp."

"I'm Ash." Ash said, holding out her hand to the girl she said to the girl who had asked for introductions. "The name's actually Aislinn, but I haven't yet met a person who can call me that without mis-pronouncing it after reading it written, so Ash is easier. And you are?" she said looking at the girl who had spoken.
Ash was glad that she'd looked at how the girl was dressed, as she immediately felt more at ease with her scruffiness of appearance and tattiness of her clothing. The other girl was wearing comfortable-looking clothing that didn't look nearly as formal as the uniforms that the others were wearing.
A stray hair fell in front of her vision and she blew a little puff of air at it, trying to get it out of her face. She was already starting to feel all the more comfortable after having left the confines of her old school, and was now feeling excited, more than anything, to find out why the FBI wanted her, a "street-rat" as some snobbish kids had called her once.
That was when she spotted the hi-tec equipment in the back of the van. Her fingers twitched involuntarily as she eyed the expensive-looking equipment.
Casting a surreptitious glance around the van to check for any sign of surveillance gear, she was pleased to see there was none. She went over to the equipment and began examining it, not daring to touch any of the gadgets, for fear of accidentally detonating some explosives or what-not. Instead, she picked up a snazzy-looking laptop, far better than any computer she'd ever used in her life, and opened it up, cracking through its password encryption without any effort and began examining the laptop's inner workings, intrigued by how hi-tec it was.

(sorry about that PIP, changed it already, and very sorry for being so late... =P)
Two more other students were rounded up from their schools and they were now sitting in the van along with Anton and that other girl. Anton was in a state of solace when the girl with icy blue eyes started annoying them with questions about who they were and demanding answers to who that man and woman were. He knew that the girl already didn't like him by the way she looked at his smart clothing, so he smirked and decided to wait for others to make their introductions first. Finally a guy named "Eli" took initiative and said something, then a girl wearing second-clothing introduced herself as "Ash" or "Aislinn". So Anton decided to be nice and directed his cold grey eyes at the girl who asked, "I am Antonio von Hertzen. Call me Anton, if you like. And for your previous question, the FBI is taking us for a 4-week training at their HeadQuarters, so don't worry about them arresting you for stealing things. I think they already know about our criminal behaviour, but decided to use our talents," he said with a slight smirk.
While he was saying this, Anton was aware that Ash was hacking into one of the high-tech laptops in the trunk, and she looked absolutely mesmerized by the functions of the laptop. "Ah, a nice little trick there," Anton told the girl quietly, "here, insert this and copy everything." He held out a USB to her.

Eli was a bit put off by this Anton guy but decided to ignore him in favor of the ability to check his e-mail and play Runescape on these Laptops. He picked one up and settled himself into a seat in the corner. He had one E-mail from his Dad that backed up Antons words and a whole bunch of spam. Then Finally he logged on to Runescape. If the Driver had been listening he would be able to hear the sounds of a voice saying "Die Goblins Die!" coming from the back. Eventually he finished his quest got bored and put the Laptop away in favor of bringing out a lock, a set of lock picks and a padlock from his coat pockets. He hit the button on the stopwatch, quickly picked the lock and hit the button again. "12 seconds, Darn it I'm out of practice." Then he went again with Scamp sitting on his shoulder inspecting these new people.

((It's completely fine. :) ))
Blake listened as the other introduced themselves. She shook Ash's hand when she held it out, liking her laid-back look and apparent attitude. She turned her attention to the boy she didn't like so far. "Well then, Anton, that's good to know I guess. But you could have answered my questions before, when I actually asked them." she said, pointedly. Anton's introduction had continued her dislike of him. He was a know-it-all, by the sound of it.
Blake turned around and saw Ash was hacking into the laptops and the Eli boy was playing an online game, then resorted to picking some locks. She had no idea what to do, and resorted to inspecting some of the gadgets. These seemed pretty decent. Some really nice weapons, some great surveliance devices. She loved technology.
Then she realized she hadn't introduced herself. "I'm Blake, in case your wondering." she said. "Yes, I know it's not a traditional girls name. Get over it." she said, rolling her eyes. People always thought her name was odd, but Blake thought it suited her. She wasn't exactly... .girly. The name worked. The only girly thing about her really was her ever-present shoulder bag.

Anton put the USB beside the girl just as Blake introduced herself and made a remark about her previous question. He chuckled inwardly, I'm probably one of those stereotypical snobbish rich boys they think I am. They probably really hate me. Good. No emotional relationships such as friendship. That's important for FBI missions. Nothing sentimental. So he shrugged in response, "Well, I was hoping to get to know everyone else before my turn. You're recruited into this, and we don't really have a choice to leave now that they've come for us, so they have to explain to us sooner or later. And by the way, Blake is a fine name for a girl." he politely explained. Anton was brought up to be a gentleman, so he wasn't the type to get angered so easily just because of a few rude remarks or annoyed expressions.
When the only other boy in the van started picking locks instead of playing online games, Anton watched him with pity. There is more to criminal ways than just simply picking easy locks. At least stealing into password-protected computers is a more skillful trade. He sighed silently, I should cut them some slack. Not everyone comes from the same part of the city. Since not everyone enjoyed his presence, Anton decided to entertain himself by reading his mystery novel instead of engaging in anything to do with his secret talents, but stayed aware of his surrounding companions.

Ash looked at the USB stick that the boy had proffered her, but she didn't pick it up or use it, deciding that she would rather use her own skills for hacking rather than using some other thing that she didn't know nor trust.
"Thanks, but no thanks," she said, handing it back to Anton. She dove her hand into her own messenger bag and picked out one of several USB keys that she had, plugging it into the laptop, copying off all the top-secret, highly-encrypted government files that were on the laptop.
"Psha, they think that this is hacker-proof? Man they need to think again!" she said, tapping away at the keyboard with joyful abandon, hacking several major webpages, bringing them crashing down around their virtual ankles.
Soon growing bored of crashing webpages, Ash went over to a pile of broken laptops in the back of the van, awaiting to be repaired. Ash had repaired her family's terrible computer on several occasions, and had never had a laptop of her own, so she picked up one of the broken laptops from the pile of old hardware and took out some tools from her bag.
Laptop in hand, Ash returned to her seat, back against the side of the van, legs extended across the seat, laptop in her lap, fiddling around with a screwdriver and other tools, fixing up the broken laptop.
"So," she said, eyes down, focussing on stripping some wires to fix the connects. "What are you 'talents' that would probably be the reason for the FBI picking you up. Me, I'm a hacker, code-breaker and all-round techno-geek," she said, looking up from the laptop, some stray strands of hair falling in her eyes.

Anton looked up from his book and found Ash returning his USB and using her own instead, so he put it back into his backpack. Hilarious. Does she think a normal innocent little USB is going to bomb the laptop? Now I won't have a copy of FBI's files or operation plans. How come those two FBI agents just leave us with a pile of used technology and something as important as a laptop? Anton was still wondering why the FBI could be so trusting to a few young robbers when Ash suddenly threw a question at them. Anton looked at her in surprise. They'll find that a perfectly good boy like I am, isn't as good as they think. "Well, my expertise lies in the same field as yours, a computer genius and a techno-geek. Let's just say that I possess a great deal of imagination and creativity, and other skills I'd prefer to show when they are needed," he disparaged. He returned to his book.

Ash rolled her eyes. She didn't take very well to the boy who was also a techno. She didn't like having the same talent as other people, because she felt that her criminal activities and hacking tricks made her different from the hundreds of other kids at her school. She looked back at the computer, taking out her Swiss Army Knife card from a chain on her neck and removed the scissors in it.
Gripping the scissors lightly, she delicately stripped a wire and twined it with another wire in the laptop to boost the laptop's output. She then took out the small knife from the card and cleaned some of the connects for the chips inside.
A satisfied smile spread across Ash's face as she screwed the bottom of the laptop back into place and flipped the laptop over, opening up its screen, turning it on. She held her breath for a second as the laptop whirred a bit, but she sighed happily when it worked as she'd hoped.
Tapping away with joyful abandon as she reset the settings and everything. She pulled a memory stick from the chain around her neck and plugged it into the laptop and loaded a computer system that she had designed, smiling delightedly at the fact that she had a laptop of her own, even more satisfied by the fact that she had fixed it herself.

Blake was quiet overly quiet, for her. She didn't really know what her talents were. She was kind of smart, but not really, and she liked gadgets, but she wasn't a master hacker like Ash. She was ADHD too. That was a disadvantage. Was there anythign helpful about her?
They pulled up behind a small building and were told to get out. They did so, Ash carrying her laptop, and Blake with her shoulder bag, and were ordered to go inside. When they got there, it was just an average looking office area. They were then led to an elevator and got inside. The intimidating looking man pressed a button, there was a pause, and then the elevator sped downward at super-fast speed. The floor practically dropped out from underneath them. Blake stumbled, then sat down on the elevator floor, dizzy. She didn't feel very good, and was turning a bit pale.

Ash got a bout of vertigo as she was whisked down in the elevator. Clutching her new laptop tightly, she leaned heavily against the wall of the elevator and scrunched her eyes shut tightly, willing the dizziness to go away.
She felt her palms growing sweaty and the laptop was beginning to slip in her hands. She felt for the flap of her messenger bag and quickly shoved the laptop inside, for the fear of dropping it.
Ash shoved her hand inside the pocket of her tattered leather jacket and hummed loudly to take her mind off the vertigo.
"Dude, when are we going to stop? I'm getting kinda sick here..." she said, turning green as she spoke.

Eli rocked back on his heels as the elevator shot down and scamp skittered from his shoulder to the safety of his pocket. He noticed that Blake had fallen on the floor and was looking a bit pale. He smiled and offered her a hand up which she took. The solid walls of the elevator opened up into a glass tube and Eli could see people training and working on machinery. The elevator opened out to a large cavern like hanger and they we're told to follow a suited man with dark glasses. Eli looked around eagerly taking in the sites and Scamp peeked a nose out of his pocket then quickly ducked back in. His fingers twitched as they went past expensive equipment and he then satisfied the urge to steal something by pickpocketing Anton's wallet and slipping it into his own back pocket.

Ash dizzily staggered out of the elevator and followed the rest of the group, willing the world to stop spinning in her vision and let her see straight. As she lurched from side to side, tottering along the walk way, her mouth hung open as she looked at all the gadgetry and machinery as her dizziness subsided.
She was dismayed to see the boy, Eli, pickpocket the other, snobbish boy, Anton, taking his wallet and putting it in his back pocket. She pulled the laptop out of her bag and held it close to her, afraid that the boy might attempt to steal it.

Blake hesitated, then very reluctantly took Eli's hand, and staggered out of the elevator. She didn't like that she needed help. It made her feel... weak. She still was feeling dizzy, and was still very pale.
But the sight before her was amazing! It was a huge headquarters, by the looks of it only the bottom floor. There were people all around busily filing papers, on computers, having meetings. It was like a hive, busy bess buzzing all around. If she had ever imagined the FBI headquarters, this was her idea of it. She liked being busy, and having something to do. She would fit in well here.
But her stomach still wasn't feeling right. She was feeling pretty light headed too. Deciding it would be better not to fall, she walked over near the wall and sat down. "Uh... do you guys want to continue this little part without me? I'm not... good with... i get motion sickness, sometimes." she admitted, sheepishly.

Anton had been contemplating what the others' "talents" were when they had arrived and took an extremely fast elevator down to a huge roomful of professionals doing their work. Anton was hardly ever impressed, but this time, he had to be. His senses suddenly alerted him as he walked out of the elevator and the others with green faces. He tensed, ready to fight, but stayed looking calm. Martials arts was his secret weapon when in danger. It turned out that someone was simply picking his pocket. Anton nearly laughed aloud. His senses were correct. Out of the corner of his hawk-like eyes, he saw Eli pocketing his wallet. Poor boy, does he really think that I, Antonio von Hertzen, am an ignorant imbecile? After a look at Ash clutching her newly-repaired laptop looking suspicious of Eli, Anton clearly his throat softly and whirled around to face Eli directly, "Mr. Eli, I suggest that you return whatever that does not belong to you back to its rightful owner. I wish to maintain a nice clean partnership with you and the others. Please. " He said this with an icy stare at the smaller boy, waiting for him to return his wallet. Anton did not believe in fighting. Negociating worked better unless the other person wanted to play foul.
Without turning, he reached into his blazer pocket and offered his scented handkerchief to Blake, "Take it, the scent will help you recover from motion sickness. The FBI agents wouldn't want you to miss anything." Then Anton turned his attention back to the boy thief.

Ash really hadn't taken to Anton well. He was being rather stand-offish to them, acting almost as if they were all beneath him. She stared at him, a frown picking at her eyebrows slightly. She didn't like how he was treating Eli, even though she had seen Eli pickpocketing him, but she had guessed that Eli was a Kleptomaniac and probably couldn't help himself from stealing things, having seen the way his fingers were twitching when they had passed a lot of the tech-y stuff.
"Anton, lay off him a bit, please," she asked him civilly. "His talent is Kleptomania, if my guess is right," she said with a pointed look at Eli. "He can't help himself." She then turned to Eli. "Eli, just give him the wallet back, stop a fight that is definitely brewing."

Anton frowned at Ash who told him about Eli being kleptomaniac. He didn't like people stealing from him whether they were poor or rich, because he found that stealing wallets was a rude thing to do. However, in this case, considering the boy in front of him, he decided to calm down. He didn't want to look like a rich bully. "Fine, now that you've satisfied yourself by managing to steal my wallet, may I please have it back?" I don't intend to really fight him anyways, it's just a wallet. But if he did try to lie, I would certainly teach him a lesson with my eloquence. Anton smiled at the thought.

"You don't like kleptomaniacs do you?" Claire smirked. "You're stiff and uncomfortable and you aren't that impressed with him managing to do that. Anyhow, you'd better return him the wallet." She smiled. and turned to Eli, "Dude that was awesome." She hadn't really spoken during the trip in the van. "How do I know that?" Claire asked them. "I'm a lie detector, and I can also tell a pretty good yarn myself. My name's Claire Evens. And you pronoune it ee-verns. Not Evans." She whistled as she looked around the huge building.
"Wow," she said, "this is pretty sweet."

Anton raised an eyebrow at the girl who was silent the whole time during the trip. Claire Evens... a lie detector eh? Well, compared to what I've done before, awesome would not be a word she'd be using to describe a petty theft. "Well, it's quite true, Evens, that I don't feel particularly comfortable around kleptomaniacs. But it doesn't mean that I dislike them. As for being a stereotypical snob, I'm not that impressed with Eli's trick. Nonetheless he did steal it," Anton replied with a cold smile and turned to Eli, "You can keep whatever is inside. There are things in there that are not of any use to you except for the money, but they might interest you." One never walks around without backup plans. I think he'd be pretty amused with those fake IDs. I could always make more. As for the money, there's not much. Anton knew he didn't have anything too important in the wallet, but he cared more aAbout the wallet itself than the contents inside it. It was given to him by his deceased parents on his 13th birthday, and he had taken good care of it until now. Anyways, he had his own bank accounts that he personally had installed security encryptions that no one, not even a genius, could break through them. Using a more gentle tone, Anton explained to Eli, "Eli, I hope you forgive me for my behaviour, but I only want the wallet, itself, back. My parents gave it to me for my birthday before they died. Please, whenever you feel like it, please give me the wallet. It's one of the few things I have right now, that would remind me of them, so I ask you to keep good care of it." A slow constricting feeling filled his chest as he said this, but Anton passed it away with a small cough.
Deciding to not be bothered with this incident anymore, Anton turned to admire the efficiency and the organization of the FBI employees. Then he looked curiously at the strange man and woman who brought them there.

Eli glared at Ash. Of course she was right but he had just been put in rehab about 2 weeks ago and was kind of tired of people feeling sorry him. He was sort of surprised tho. It took Anton a whole 2 minutes to notice while it took the local cops about an hour or so. Plus the parents thing was most likely not a lie from the look on Antons face. Eli shrugged reached into his pocket and tossed Anton's wallet back to him. "I had no interest in the money. Nice wallet to." He said "Tho you did notice quicker than I thought you would." He smiled "Thanks for being a good sport about it tho"

Ash merely watched the entire scene, rolling her eyes at the appropriate times. She really thought that it was just a mountain being made out of a molehill, however, she did sympathise with Anton's reasons, being that she knew what it felt to lose someone she loved, however, they weren't dead, but she could only visit her Mother, who was in a High-Security Prison for theft, assault and attempted murder, in visiting hours, and everything that she said to her Mother was recorded down on tape, so she hadn't really seen her Mother properly for the last 10 years of her life.
Ash tucked the laptop back into her bag and looked around at her surroundings, trying to make sense of it all.

Blake pushed the handkerchief back to Anton. She didn't use it. She didn't want his help. She didn't want anyone's help. She breathed deeply, faintly listening to the conversation, trying to calm herself down. You'd think by now she'd be used to the motion-sickness effects, but she wasn't. So she focused on the conversation in front of her instead. All she got was that Eli pick-pocketed Anton, and he was getting upset-ish in a non-upset way. Very weird.
She got up shakily, keeping one hand on the wall, and turned to the group. "I-I think Im okay. Let's just move on."

Anton was surprised and relieved when Eli returned his wallet. He smiled gratefully, "Youre welcome anytime. And thanks, pal." Anton chuckeld when he saw Ash roll her eyes. He was telling the truth after all. They're probably really annoyed. Hilarious. Am I really a good sport? I thought I was rather being too distraught than necessary, though I tried not to show it. Why did I say "stereotypical" when describing myself, anyways? I'm much more unique than the typical rich boy. I can do so much more meaningful things. Ah well, what is said, is said. At least, I still managed to get my wallet back. He put his wallet back into his crowded backpack. Finally with things patched up, Anton looked expectantly at the mysterious man and woman, who were observing them with a calculating look on their intelligent faces.
Blake had refused to use his handkerchief, though she still looked nauseous. So Anton put it back into his breast pocket and waited for the next part of their tour. After Blake stuttered out saying that she was alright, Anton concluded that she wasn't the type to receive help so easily and that she didn't really trust him. It's possible that he still hasn't earned the group's trust yet.

"Come on, we can't stand around here all day," Ash said, getting to her feet, trying to lighten the mood. "I mean, we're here, with the FBI, so there must be some reason for us to be here. We might as well find out without causing an incident," she said, shouldering her bag and walking over to Blake.
"How are you holding up there, Blake? That was one hell of an elevator ride, wasn't it?" Ash asked conversationally, although she was genuinely worried about Blake's motion-sickness. She got it worse than Ash had ever seen before.

She shook her head, and looked over at the man and woman who led them here. They looked rather amused. "What's so funny?" she asked, bluntly. They hesitated. "Well, the way you handled that situation... we just found it amusing." the woman said quickly. Blake rolled her eyes. "So, are we going to be getting a move on? Ash nodded as Blake explained to her about how she had experienced worse motion-sickness before. It was funny, it seemed to Ash that she and Blake were quite similar, more similar than she had initially imagined, but she wouldn't say anything until the two knew each other better.
"Please, Miss whoever and Mr Idon'tcare, can we please get on? I'm kinda getting a bit sick of hanging 'round here. I mean, there's so much technology here, and when I'm idle, people often find that some of the world's biggest websites tend to... crash for a while. Like Google this morning..." Ash said off-handedly, her fingers drumming on the bit of laptop that was showing through her bag's flap. "You wouldn't want your top-secret FBI databases to suddenly be available all over the world, now, would you?" she asked, raising an eyebrow threateningly.
The woman seemed quite taken aback by this threat. "Oh... right... well. Let's continue with the tour, shall we?" she said hurriedly, turning with the man to leave. The kids all followed them.

Anton laughed silently as he watched Blake and Ash converse with the Ms. "whoever" and Mr. "Idon'tcare". How stupid these adults are. They haven't even introduced themselves yet. She did the right thing. I would have threatened them like a whiney rich boy, sooner or later if they don't start moving. Ha, would they be ever so surprised that they recruited a crybaby... No, not my style.
Anton wondered where they were going. They passed through many corridors, offices, and then a closed room with a plaque that said "Laboratory: VIP only" hidden in a semi-dark hallway. Taking in all the details around the doors: finger print scanner, four security cameras, and a card slot scanner. Anton's interest was immediately aroused after he saw that room. He knew that the room would somehow be broken into by either himself or the others. With the corners of his lips twitching, he turned to Eli, "Hey Eli, I'll show you something when we get free time." The two adults led them to a corridor with bright red carpet leading to one room: Conference Hall. Then they stopped and checked their watches. The woman quietly explained, "There is a meeting in there at the moment. We've booked to use it next. You guys can rest a bit." Anton crossed his arms and leaned against one of the pillars.

Eli knew exactly what Anton was thinking. He had noticed the room to, while he was pocketing Mr. "Idon'tcares wallet, and had began formulating a plot in his head. He'd probably need Anton's help with the cameras but the fingerprint scanner and card slot would be simple enough. He couldn't believe the FBI would think that a set up like that would stop someone who had been breaking those kinds of systems since they were 10. it was almost an insult to his intelligence. After they stopped he went over to Anton. "If you can get the cameras I can get the rest." He whispered quietly.

Anton had closed his eyes deciding to have a rest when they'd stopped outside the Conference Hall. Someone shuffled to his side and at once, his eyes flew open to see Eli with a look of adventure on his face. Anton listened carefully to Eli, immediately knowing what the "rest" was. He was to disable the security cameras of course, and make them look like they malfunctioned by accident - a simple task, in fact. Eyebrows slightly knitted together, Anton wondered what trick Eli was going to use for the other 2 security systems. No doubt stealing a "VIP's" card, but the finger print scanner... I know what I can do for that. My plan is rather scientific, but I'll let him do whatever he wants. Eli would have to be aware of the cameras when he steals the card. But once we get into the room, and no doubt it'll have plenty of security devices, I'll unleash my own plans. Anton glanced around quickly. THe girls were doing their own thing. The adults were pacing around. Then something caught his eye. There were two large plants by the Conference Hall doors. And a by the foot of the plant, there was a small black bud, lying there inconspicuously.
Anton casually straightend his suit and checked his backpack. A smile played on his lips. Still not making eye contact with Eli, he whispered, "Yes, talk later. Sound devices." Then he closed his eyes again, feeling excited about the plan and honoured that Eli actually asked for his help. Anton knew he could be really mean when he wanted to. Eli could've easily asked Ash or one of the other girls. Ah well... doesn't matter, similar goals anyways. Let Eli do his thing.

Ash was decidedly very bored once again. She hated waiting around when there was all this suspense in the air. She sat down on the floor with her back against a wall and took out the laptop which she had salvaged earlier on in the van. It was now her pride and joy, as this was the first piece of real technology that had ever really belonged to her.
She took the memory stick from the chain around her neck and plugged it into the USB port on her laptop and uploaded a few of her works in progress, one of which was a project on ripping characters from films and putting them into CCTV cameras to make the security guards who were watching the tapes believe that there were disturbances or intruders on the other side of the building to whatever part of the building Ash's criminal plots might have been happening in.
She was currently working on some Star Wars Stormtroopers, just for the laughs, as if anyone would buy it that Darth Vader and an army of Stormtroopers was breaking into their building, unless they were really really gullible... or just plain stupid.
Laughing to herself, Ash ripped some more films into the software that she had made and decided to give it a test run, putting in a feed from some action movie or other into the CCTV cams in the control tower of the HQ. She was interested to see what the reaction to men in black suits, toting huge guns, supposedly waltzing through the FBI's HQ, would be.

I like the idea of trying an FBI break-in, but it shouldn't be no problem, and it should take probably all of them to do. Thanks, guys. Did I explain that well? ))
As the kids distributed in front of the congress hall, Blake got bored. She was over the motion sickness now, and was actually rather embarrassed. As everyone went off planning break-ins and hacking, she decided to try her talent out here.
She was a field agent, to the extreme. She was very flexible, agile, and strong. That combined with the usefulness of her shoulder bag and her random-fact knowledge was probably why the FBI recruited her.
She went over to one of the pillars, examining it. It had horizontal ridges on it, which would make it a pretty easy task. She put a hand on one of the ridges, then her foot on the next, and started climbing. In less than a minute, she was at the top, examining the carvings. They looked like a code. "Well, this is odd..." she said to herself, running her fingers over the carving.

((Yes we'll do that, we're genius but not so genius that the FBI doesn't know a thing =DDD))
When Anton resurfaced from his little break and a small chat with Eli, he was watching with interest at what Ash was doing on her laptop. Not that Anton couldn't do what she could, but he didn't really like the idea of having FBI guards running around the building and getting suspicious when they find out that they've been tricked. The guards might start taking measures to add extra protection. Anton was a criminal mastermind, not a jokester. But in this case, he was sharing the role with Eli of course. Ash could be useful only if she's willing to.
When Blake climbed up a pillar, Anton was nodded approvingly at how easily she climbed up without making noise. That's what we need too, Eli. Anton needed floor plans and a bit of scouting around to be familiar with the place first. To him, Blake seemed perfect for this job, and he could just fiddle with the security cameras to help her get around. There might be guards doing their rounds though. Anton observed Blake's actions from below, and saw that she was intrigued by something high up on the pillar. From the corner of his eyes, he noticed that the two FBI agents were looking at Blake in their tense stance.
Hoping to distract the two adults so Blake could notice that she was being watched and hurry up with whatever is holding her curiosity, Anton went up to them and made conversation, as that's what he normally does when he needs valuable information or trust from the person he steals from. In this case, he found out some interesting information and managed to distract them from Blake.

Ash watched Blake with interest as she scaled the pillar easily and soundlessly. She also saw Anton watching Blake with interest also, and she could see his thoughts in his eyes as his brain was obviously calculating odds and statistics and formulating a plan. She flicked her eyes around the room and saw that two FBI agents were watching Blake tensely.
Quickly opening her laptop, Ash hacked into the CCTV camera controls and overrode the camera and fed in a loop of film from earlier on into the camera control booth, and used the camera to take a picture of the carved code that Blake was looking at, for future reference.

Anton smirked on the inside as he finished his conversation with the two FBI agents. A few words here and there, a bit of persuasiveness, and a bit of flattery did the trick. He had managed to coax some high-tech security devices the FBI guards used to stay alert out of them. After all, the children would find out all the security devices there were even if no one told them. One thing Anton was not satisfied about was that the FBI just told him that it was a code carved on the pilllar but not what it was used for. He would have to find out for himself. Carved codes could possibly resemble a lot of things.
Anton had noticed that Ash had done something on her laptop immediately after she saw Blake looking at the code. Well she's comfortable showing her intelligence to the public. He didn't like to show off his talents to people who he wasn't really familiar with. He turned to the other four, who looked bored and impatient. So he cleared his throat quietly, looking pointedly at the two FBI agents. They checked their watches, and the man muttered, "They're running late inside."

Blake dropped nimbly to her feet, barely making a sound. and walked in. It was nothing special, just a typical conference room with a big circular table with chairs all around it, and a projector hooked up to a laptop. The rest of the group was sitting down and so he took the only remaining seat between Anton and Blake. "Shall we, finally, begin?" The women asked. It would be a disgrace to such a well-respected organization to only display such normal things. He looked around, taking in everything. Anton sighed and sat down a seat away from Blake, taking care not to squish the backpack. The woman started tapping away, bringing up a powerpoint project titled "Youngsters." Really. Youngsters. Gosh, lowering your standards a bit, aren't you FBI. Blake thought, rolling her eyes.
"You have all been selected for you... how to put this... abilities. You, Ash, are a hacker. Anton, you're very intelligent. Eli, you're a thief, good for sneaking. While the female agent was speaking, Anton was smirking, though he kept his face emotionless. He twiddled his thumbs. Something like a wallet would reveal your name. And 'Youngsters'. How offensive. FBI agents are such imbeciles. When 98 started introducing their prime abilities, Anton's eyebrows raised in an "oh really?" manner. A genius or a criminal mastermind is what I am, but 'intelligent' covers many things too. After all, Anton's plots in stealing big things needed action too, and he did everything: plotting, preparation, and action. Slightly smiling, Anton listened to the rest. The only one that slightly impressed him was the lie detector. How convenient. He snorted when 098 stuttered on Blake's ability. An FBI agent should be quick-minded and always have a good answer ready. Then he glanced at Blake. Physical abilities definitely.
Anton remembered the time he broke into the Metropolitan Museum of Art. He and his sidekick had stolen 3 masterpieces from the most protected room and replaced them with forgeries. The most diffcult part was the transportation of the heavy paintings around the building while night guards were on the look-out. Anton had nearly lost footing despite that fact that he learned martial arts and fencing. Anton thought, Blake would probably have no trouble.

Ash could actually do something productive with her hacking abilities.
It was quite clear that the FBI had known about Ash, but then again, she did have a criminal record from the great failed heist as it had been known as in her family. The memories flooded to her of plenty of successful heists of priceless works of art, high-security bank vaults and all sorts of other things.

The first screen was of a graph, titled "New York City Crime Rates." The graph showed a pretty steady line, a slight increase around 1998, but at about 2007/2008 a steep increase began.
"As you can see," the woman continued, "the crime rates in New York City have been sky-rocketing. We aren't really sure why, and all the petty thieves we can handle, but some of the more major things need more attention. We are assigning you all to do two jobs; take care of some smaller crimes while we work on the bigger things, and give us a fresh point of view for some major things. Your backgrounds in crime allow you to think how a criminal would think. Understand?" 98 asked, eagerly, like this was a trip to an amusement park. Really, how old are we? Blake thought, with an eye roll and sarcastic sigh.

Anton was seriously laughing inside his head at how agent 098 asked "understand?". He was curious about what major crimes were out there. Illegal trafficking of certain substances? Attempts to destroy the country's defenses? Other espionage infiltrating with the government?
Anton had never felt so excited and yet, irritated, so he ventured, "So 98, what you're telling us is that the FBI doesn't know what initiated the sudden increase of these major crimes for the last 3 years. Are they connected in any way? And we are being asked to solve smaller crimes and give you tips for the bigger problems. Would the smaller crimes be within the city or domestic? As young secret agents, is it possible for us to get promoted into solving the more dangerous crimes? Are the major crimes related to outside forces going against the United States?"

The woman smiled at all of Anton's questions, much to Blake's surprise. That was clearly meant to annoy her. "Well, Anton, those questions will be answered in our next slide." she said, with a knowing smile. She hit the screen and a new slide appeared. The background was slowly changing colors, fading into all the colors in the rainbow. It immediately had Blake's attention, until the woman brought her head back into it by speaking. Blake skimmed the screen. All Anton's questions, and more, were there.
"The FBI is trying to figure out the cause of all the crimes. They are connected, we just don't know how or by whom. You are being asked to keep the smaller crimes off our to-do list so we can focus on the ones that need more professional attention. The crimes all seem to be occurring in New York City and the very near areas. You will not be promoted. We are thinking the crimes are a new force, not an outside threat." the woman said, smugly. Blake smirked. She was rather glad Anton didn't succeed in catching her off guard.
"I will make this clear to you now. You are not training to become real agents. You are... fill-ins. Substitutes, if you will." she said.

Anton raised one of his eyebrows in a cocky manner as 98 smiled so smugly. He made the desired effect; it showed that she wasn't genuinely nice to "kids". It seems like the FBI can't pay attention to everything. What are all the local police for anyways? But of course, the police are a bunch of buffoons. They didn't even have any idea that Anton had been a young criminal. That is, until now, did Anton realize that the FBI had found out what he has accomplished before.
Not at all bothered by the others' smirks, Anton smiled with a hint of a sneer, "How unfortunate, I've always thought FBI agents were much more capable. Does house-keeping go on the to-list as well? I'm happy to be of assistance so you could concentrate on the matters at hand... Ahem, I do apologize, please continue with your speech." Then he assumed a half-innocent, half-apologetic expression on his amused face.
What if the FBI is wrong about their information? It's possible that outside threats are attacking USA, but mostly occurring within this City. What if we found out important secrets about these "connected" crimes? Since this whole building is completely accessible by us, all confidential info can be viewed. Anton was determined to get ahead of the FBI on those major crimes.

Ash listened intently, and felt half-bemused and half-irritated. She read the slide over and over again, and making sense of it all. She didn't bother putting her hand up and just opened her mouth and spoke her mind, much in the way that always got her into trouble at school.
"So, what you're basically saying, whatever-your-name-is," Ash had never liked calling people by their names if she wasn't happy with them. "Is that we're being trained to be your little personal monkeys who will run around doing whatever you ask of us, because we are young, impressionable children, who just happen to have Criminal Records and a knowledge of crime, so that is just a bonus, is it?" Ash didn't like it that they were being recruited solely to keep the FBI focused on some other case, and that, in the long run, it wouldn't even mean that they could become agents.
At the glares shot at her by the adults, she toned down her anger a notch. "Fine, I'll do it, but only if you quit being so patronising and fake... it's really annoying."

Anton had had enough. He was the son of a well-respected man and he was going to put up with such nonsense. So he dropped his rude behaviour and got serioius. Anyone who knew him would tell the way his hawk-like eyes flashed and his smirk replaced by a solemn look. His eyes darted through the slide one more time. Inside, he whole-hearted agreed with Ash's outburst, but he wasn't going to give in so easily.
He took a breath to calm himself, then in a more polite tone he asked, "We're intelligent people here, not babies, you can treat us like adults. I'm willing to work with the FBI if we are admitted as fully-qualified junior agents in the future. After all, we're all going to have to pass our training anyways, so we're well-prepared." Anton knew that he had to be clear with his condition, like his father. He was sure that the others didn't want to be treated like this as well.
The two agents glowered at him. 98 no longer smiled sweetly, and said, "Mr. von Hertzen, we will appeal to the FBI director about this matter later." Then they proceeded with the presentation.

Meanwhile through all of this Eli hadn't been paying attention but considering he was trying to get a FBI agents all access card out of said FBI agents wallet with out getting caught that sort of thing could be excused. When he finnally got the blasted card out he tucked it in to his pocket and replaced the wallet in the oppisite one. ' And they laughed at me for wearing a coat with so many pockets. Well's who's laughing now! Mwahahhahahahahahah!'
He thought continuing to laugh maniacally in his head while he redirected his attention to the presentation. If he hadn't been mistaken they had just been made junior agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He was also proud that he knew what FBI stood for.

After finishing the presentation, which only consisted of a couple more boring slide, crimes they might be taking care of, training overview, all that jazz. They were then asked to follow 98 and 21. "We are now showing you to your rooms. The girls will all be sharing the first room, and the boys will be sharing the second one. Okay?" explained 98, cheerfully. Okay, I give in. 98 is just a happy person. Blake thought.
They got to their rooms, 98 unlocked the girls' room, and 21 unlocked the boys' rooms. Blake went inside cautiously, and then a grin spread across her face. Their room was awesome! The walls were light turquoise, probably chosen to fit a girly girl's and tomboy's likes, they had hardwood floors, probably to minimize cleanup, and they had two sets of wooden bunk beds. They even had beanbag chairs! But that wasn't the cool part.
They had bookshelves lining the walls, filled with books on science, gadgets, martial arts, espionage, random information, all topics. They had two desks with mechanical parts and cords and blueprint paper filling the drawers. They had a wall with a touch screen TV/computer on it, and other cords nearby. And, Blake's favorite, they had a set of monkey bars on the ceiling, a small trampoline in the corner, and a gymnastics mat under the bed. They had designed the room to appeal to all of them, and let the exercise their abilities.
"Too. Cool." Blake said, cheeks flushed with excitement, taking the key card 98 was giving each of them. They were keys to their room.

As 21 opened their dorms up for him and Eli and 98 gone to take care of the girls' dorm, Anton decided to ask 21 one more time about that his deal. 21 only replied, "Everyone's performance during the training and the missions will be monitored and assessed. If the FBI needs more hands for the major crimes, then perhaps you will be considered." Anton nodded appreciatively and shook 21's hand for a thank-you. THen 21 left to find 98, leaving the two boys to their room with two key-cards.
Feeling slightly more satisfied, Anton went in with Eli. It was amazing. This surprised Anton, being awed by what was provided in their gigantic dorm. Much better than I expected. I suppose this building has their technology hidden than displaying them.
The walls were pure white like a scientist's lab, large tinted windows, dark coloured hardwood floors, two sets of bunkbeds, and a nice bathroom. This is even better than what the private school has provided us! Even better they had a touch screen plasma TV/computer and a holographic projector on the wall. There were two well-supplied desks filled with paper, stationery, gadgets, devices, cords, circuits, and other equipment. And to Anton's delight, a huge bookcase filled with books on every subject they would need for their tasks. There were two wardrobes filled with disguises with their luggage at the side. Under their beds, there were mats for fighting and exercising, some dumbells, boxing gloves, 3 types of fencing swords, and many other things the boys would find useful.
Anton turned around to face Eli, "This is it, Eli. Training starts tomorrow." I wonder I would be able to use my inventions, but they're still at home. He went to arrange his belongings in the wardrobe, wondering if they'd be able to get into the VIP lab.Anton the inventor was going to get to work full time.

Eli Gazed around in Awe. This was 10 times better than what he had expected. He nodded not really hearing Anton. First things were first tho He had to get Scamp set up. He went to his set of luggage and sure enough found Scamps cage set up on a small table and released Scamp into it. With that done he went to the wardrobe and began unpacking.
He put away his clothes silently thanking the FBI for remembering the various toys he found for scamp and the large bag of rat food that he hadn't had at home. When his packing was finished he slipped off his trench coat for the first time that day and put it in the closet in order not to hinder him as he explored the room.
He first went to the desk and honed in on the one with Elijah Springwood on a name plate. He opened the top drawer and found that it held hundreds of different types and sizes of lockpicks. the next drawer contained electronic security gear and the final largest drawer had books in it. Science fiction, Fantasy, and all his favorite authors. By the end of this the grin on his face was ear splitting.
He began to look at the stuff Anton pulled out from under the bed and picked up the boxing gloves. Let other people dabble in Martial arts but he preferred more straight forward methods of dispatching opponents. The Gloves were of good weight but he would wait to try them out on a speed bag. Next he went for the Swords. He had always wanted to try fencing and had practice with sticks plenty when he was younger but there was something more real about a actual sword. He picked up the one he knew was called an Empee and waved it around a bit. He liked the feel of it.

Ash's mouth dropped open when she walked into the room that the girls had all been assigned. She took the card key from Agent 98 and tucked the card into the inside pocket of her leather jacket.
The first thing that she did was to scurry up to the top of one of the bunks and dumped her messenger bag on the bed, shinning down the ladder of the bunk bed, landing with her two feet on the floor. She kicked off her grubby converses and bounded over to the mini trampoline which she dragged under the bookcase so that she could reach the top shelf with all the books about computers and software.
Bouncing up and down, Ash eventually managed to select a book that showed the insides of a typical MacBook which was the same model as that which she had saved. She then put it on her bunk bed, meaning for it to be her night reading.
That was when she saw the desk which had some drawers with her name on. Using the card key, she opened the drawers to find one drawer filled with circuit-boards, computer chips, broken pieces of technological items, tools and blueprint paper. The next drawer down contained her favourite books by her favourite authors, which made her feel elated when she saw them.
Beaming she closed the drawer and turned back to Blake.

Anton would really like to try out the equipment in the room so he can test if he can actually invent something with what the FBI provided. He finished arranging his many dress shirts, pants, and vests. Wouldn't the FBI have different attires for us to wear during the training? THen he shrugged. It didn't really matter because his clothing were specially designed so to not restrict him from action. Anton whipped off his school blazer and hung it on a rack in the wardrobe. Then something hit him. He didn't mind sharing the room with another kid. Probably he was simply too excited. Doesn't matter.
When Anton turned around, he found Eli or Elijah (now that he found out his real name on the plaque on their desks) playing with the fencing swords. Hmm... not really experienced in fencing, but seems to be really interested in the art of it. For the first time in the prescence of another boy, Anton grinned. He felt like being a professor at the moment so he picked up the Sabre and the Foil in hand.
"Well, Eli, would you like to learn the majestic art of fencing? I don't mind teaching my expertise to you." Anton asked as he twirled both weapons like a pro and assumed a fighting stance.

Ash had, by this point, already taken out several circuit boards, wires and other sorts of techy stuff and had opened up the insides of the beaten-up old, hand-me-down phone that she had. She'd been meaning for ages to fix it up, to give it better reception and give it music capabilities, but she'd never had the chance, due to lack of money to buy the necessary parts.
She ripped out the old circuit board from the inside of the phone and started to examine it. Picking up another circuit board, she examined them together and knew what to do.
She took apart some of the components from the previous components and soldered them to the second circuit board and replaced the wires and such in the phone and sealed it.
Ash turned on the phone and was pleased to see that it was working once again, and she hadn't lost any of the other stuff from it. Nodding happily, she slipped it into her pocket.
Spinning around on the swivel chair, Ash came to a stop in front of the rack of swords in the girls' room. There were not only fencing swords but some other sorts of swords, purely decorations, bu they looked cool. However, Ash had no intention of fighting with one of them. She picked up one of the foils from the rack and put on all the protective gear.
"Fancy a duel?" she asked Blake as she slid the helmet on over her head.

"Oh yeah." Blake said, gather her protective gear and slipping it on quickly. She grabbed two swords, weighing them in her hands, choosing the lighter of the two. She assumed typical fighting stance, and looked Ash in the eye. "Bring it on." she said, her voice deadly serious, but her eyes smiling. Then, she charged. Jabbing her sword, Ash kept blocking, and it was pretty close. "Nice. Now, watch this." she said, slyly. Then jumped up hard, grabbed the on ceiling fan, spun with it to the other side of Ash, and dropped behind her, tapping her on the shoulder. "Cool, huh?" she asked, tapping her with her sword.

If I was agile enough, I would so do that, but, alas, I cannae..." she said as she replaced her mask. "But, I can do other stuff!" she said as she took up the stance again.
This time, Ash attacked, lunging with the foil, parrying Blake's thrusts. In the heat of the moment, an idea came to Ash. She put her foil behind her back, seemingly opening herself up to attack. Blake lunged, but as she came to Ash, Ash used her foil behind her back to reach around as she rolled her shoulder away, flicking the tip of her foil to flick Blake's out of her hand, catching it deftly in her free hand.
"Now, I know that wasn't as cool as your trick, but how was that?" Ash asked, grinning.

"We'll have to continue this duel later. I like fencing. But first, do you want to see what the boy's room is like? I'm kind of wondering. Let's go see." she said, and walked over to the door next to theirs. But her key card wouldn't work. "They don't want us to have open access to each other's rooms. Ash chuckled, it did make sense. After all, the FBI knew all about their antics, so it was almost impossible that they wouldn't know about what she had done on a school trip a few years ago, when, somehow, two of the boys had woken up strung from the fan in their room, slowly revolving with moustaches and goatees drawn on their faces in permanent pen. Ash's excuse had been that they were snoring too loudly and that she couldn't sleep. She'd had many hours of detention from the small stunt.
"I can see why the FBI don't want us having open access to the others' rooms. After all, they probably know what we would do to the boys in their sleep, given half the chance."
With that, Ash also started pounding on the boys' door, bellowing through the wood, "GUYS! COME ON! OPEN UP! WE WANT TO SEE YOUR GUYS' ROOM TOO!!!!"

((Ah.... i see now PIP, just dug out the last side chat thread from the ruins... i'm rather excited and getting ahead of everyone =P *cough* excuse my annoying behaviour please AND I hope I'm not controlling Eli too much))
Anton had put on his fencing attire and was teaching Eli the usage of the different swords, the simple footwork of fencing, and some techniques. He nodded approvingly. Eli was a fast learner if he's eager to learn. They were about to enter an easy combat mode when they heard sudden pounding on the door and hollering. He sighed, feeling a bit annoyed for being interrupted, Girls. Typical things. Brought up to be a gentleman, Anton decided to allow them entrance despite their "civilized" behaviour. So he pressed a button by the door and it slid open to reveal the rude girls, Ash and Blake. The girls were wearing fencing protective gears. Claire was probably somewhere else. Anton cleared his throat and adjusted his tie underneath his form-fitting jacket. He crossed his arms, and was still holding his Epee.
"Well, hello girls, how can I be of assistance? I was orginally planning to alert the security guards when we heard such loud bangs on our door," Anton said, with a hint of a smile. Then he let the girls in. "Welcome," he said with a flourish of his blade, "you'd think that I, being a rich snob, would be disgusted with this room. Not true. In fact, I'm actually satisfied with what the FBI can provide for me. I didn't expect them to be so considerate of our interests." Anton spoke with an air of royalty.

(( It's fine I was busy and I hate to hold it up.))
Eli looked up from a drill when the girl's entered. Anton may have guessed by the quickness he picked up from learning this skill that he wasn't as dumb as he may have let on. Apparently the girls had had the same idea they had as they were both in white fencing gear. "Hey guys, er girls." He said waving his Epee in greeting. He went over to them and grinned as they looked around in the same Awe he had.
"So what did you guy's end up with in your drawers?" he asked "I got some electronic security system bypassing equipment. It's 100 times better the stuff I used when I worked with my dad. I do find it amusing tho that the FBI would give a thief something that they must know could easily be hardware hacked to bypass keypads considering from what I saw all the doors are locked with said keypads." He finished. The astonishment at his sudden eloquence was rather funny. "What," He said with a grin and cocked eyebrow. "Did you really think the FBI would bring in someone as dumb as I act? I only concentrate on pickpocketing and lock picking because they're lost arts of theivery."

Blake shook her head, incrediously. She was learning something new about these kids every single second. She wondered if the same applied to her.
She looked around the room, taking in it's white walls, set of bunk bed, book shelves, basically like theirs but in her opinions more boring. She would get bored with the plain white walls, and only having one roommate. "I don't really know, I haven't opened up my drawers yet, too busy trampolining and fencing. Speaking of, wither of you want to duel?" she asked, smiling. "I'm not great, but I'm not terrible." she said, fingering the blade "What do you say?"

Anton leaned by the bunkbed and observed Blake speak with Eli, while Ash did her own thing. A duel, eh? They don't look too inexperienced. Blake looks pretty smug. It wouldn't be fair to have Eli, a smart beginner, to go full force yet.
"I'd fancy a duel! It's been quite a long time since I've actually been in full combat mode," Anton prompted with a smile on his face. They fought for a little bit, hitting each other's swords with clang after clang, before Blake decided she had had enough. She felt like Anton was taking it easy one her, and she didn't like that.
She starts to work her way in a circle around Anton, then started back up towards the desks. Suddenly, she jumped up on one, grabbed the fan like in her previous duel, dropped to the floor behind Anton and tapped him on the back with her sword. He turned around, and as he did so, Blake jumped onto the side of the bunk bed, puched off to the other side of Anton, and hit him with two fingers four times, in pressure points. He collapsed, just like he was supposed to. She had practiced many times before, including on herself in a boring math class.

(( Nope, it's good! Sorry Anton, you're creator is too cruel, I know.))
Anton indeed was surprised when Blake finished her win with jabs at his pressure points, and he had fallen. She had caught him off guard and he had underestimated her ability. He treasured his fencing skills, but this was the first person to ever beat him other than his dead father and Lucas, his brother. Anton was still stunned as Blake helped him up. She had beaten him fair and sqaure, not to mention a bit of modern jazz with the fan thing and kung fu hits. Impossible...but now it is.
Anton tried to collect himself and shook her hand like any professional would do and then bowed. Eli and Ash were probably very entertained. " My pleasure, Miss Blake, my pleasure to do so. I accept defeat fair and square. You are indeed better than I thought. I shall not be easy on you anymore," Anton smiled, but they could still tell that he hadn't expected losing to a girl. Agility was my weakness. Nevertheless, he was still an earnest learner, so he asked, "Might I ask what that last move is called? I understand that they use it in Kung Fu, a chinese fighting style."
With all his will, Anton forced himself to remain calm, and let out a deep breath. His teacher had taught him to fight fairly, to win justly, and to lose with acceptance if his opponent defeated him using good technique. Anton knew he wasn't going to lose so willingly, and certainly, he wasn't going to stay defeated. He would have to challenge her again later.

Blake bowed back to Anton to, and listened to his "I accept defeat" mini speech. She knew he had been going easy on her! This didn't really surprise her, so much as anger her. Just because she was a girl people had to go easy on her? Gosh, grow up. she thought. "I don't really know what it's called, I've never taken Kung Fu." she said, thoughtfully. It would be a lot of fun to take a Kung Fu class. Then she realized everyone was wondering where she had learned that move.
"Well, actually, when my parents dropped me off at that boarding school when I was seven, there was a circus nearby. I started going there to take, uh... circus lessons, instead of regular lessons during the day. Then I would just sneak back in at night. They stayed for three and a half years, but then they moved on to a different location, and I was forced to go to full-time school. But I learned a lot of tricks, and participated in some of the acts, like the high-wire. We did fake fighting though, where it wasn't really fake, they were really fighting, but like I could take down a full grown man by hitting pressure points. It was a good act." she said, then paused to take a breathe.
"What about you? Where did you learn to fence?" she asked Anton.

Anton listened to Blake telling them of her circus experiences and then she threw a question at him. He could tell she was very annoyed with him going easy on her. Anton replied without much emotion, "I took fencing for about 8 years. 2 years in Europe, 6 years in the Manhattan Fencing Centre in NYC. I joined tournaments but not junior Olympics even when my coaches suggested it. Anyways..." he turned to Ash and Eli, "What about you two now? Eli, I know you've just been learning the footwork and the simple moves for the blade, but show them your creativity."
Anton stepped back, Eli is going to be alright. Usually it takes an average person 6 months to learn the footwork, but he's getting the idea even after an hour! Even I took maximum of 2 months...

Eli shrugged and discreetly switched his epee to his left hand. "I'm game, if Ash is ready." He said. Ash nodded and the took their positions.
Eli lunged forward but was parry-ed by Ash who in turn struck forward and was narrowly blocked by Eli. Using the sword in his left hand was a bit difficult but still manageble they continued trading blows until it got too difficult to use his left hand. "You do quite well for a begginer." Ash remarked. Eli nodded Parrying a blow. "But I know something you do not." He said "What's that?" Ash asked taking a step back. "I am not left handed." He said taking a quote from his movie going experiences. With that He tossed the blade into the air and easily caught it in the air. He returned with double the speed of his attacks and all were nimbly blocked. In fact he was moving so fast that he didn't have time to react when Ash disarmed him.

But, I also have a secret... I am not right-hand dominant, as I have also led you to believe. I'm left-hand dominant, so, in effect, we have both attempted to, and failed to, outwit the other. Well done, though. That was really fantastic."
Ash removed her mask and held out her hand to Eli. "Here's hoping that next time we won't try to outwit each other. Next time you might even beat me fair and square."

Anton had a smile playing on his lips when he saw Eli lose control of his Epee in his speed to Ash. The boy got ahead of himself. But pretty good for his first duel. I'm glad people with talent are selected for the right reasons. These things must be essential on missions. We might need to break into a lair of beasts. Anton smiled at the prospect of doing good using criminal means.
"Very good balance and acceleration, Mr. Springwood, a little more practice with the Epee and you'll be competent for real match," Anton commented, then turned to Blake, "I hope we'll be having more duels in training. I'll be looking forward to them. In the meantime, why don't we have something to drink? I think there's a small fridge in the corner over there." He was beginning to act a little warmer towards them, yet still cautious.
Anton put his Epee and mask back into the case and went to grab a few mini bottles of non-achoholic sparkling juice and offered one to each person. While he did that, he said, "It seems like we'll be working together."

Ash took the proffered sparkling juice, popping the bottle-cap off with the bottle-opener on her penknife and swigging from it heartily, much like the way her brothers had done. It seemed to shock the others in the way she had done all this. Sheepishly, she looked at the others. "Sorry," she said with an embarrassed tone. "It's a habit that I've picked up from my brothers."
She tried to swig from the bottle less, making it look less like she was one of her brothers. Putting down her foil and mask, Ash sat down on the edge of the desk, facing Anton. "It seems very much like we will all be working together, that is, if we don't get in the way of a crossfire in a gunfight or anything like that, or get locked in solitary confinement or stuff like that..."

Vaan had a long day and it couldn't possibly get any longer. The last thing he expected was that i would get dragged down to the police.
Today was the day when he was about to return from China after his grand father funeral. Vaan felt neither sorrow or remorse. He never really did meet his grand father or grand mother so he nerver really knew them. By the time Vaan got to the airport, he was pretty much half asleep. "What a day," thought Vaan. He had many exams, test, and homework to make up for his absences in China. His parents told him to go back to school to pick up his homework and get started on it. Since Vaan's parents are typical asians, they expect the best from him. By the time he arrived in New York again, it was just after lunch time at school so he didn't bother going back to the insititute. As he got out of the airport, a van pulled up beside him and his uncle came out. Before Vaan knew it, he was driven downtown and ended up at some high-tech looking place. This women that looked like on of those FBI agents wearing tuxedo and shades came to pick me up. What Vaan didn't know was that he was at the FBI HQ and to top things off, the young looking lady said while taking her shades off,"Well, people call me Agent 98 and i'll be your tour gukide today!."
Vaan thought to himself, "Well, I guess today just got longer and i don't think it will feel any shorter by the looks of things."

Anton raised his eyebrows as he watched Ash gulp her drink down without much of a girl's grace. From this act and how she dressed, Anton decided that she was once part of a street gang. How sad... Her personality didn't show it. One can always change.
He put the other bottles down and opened one for himself. As he sipped he tried to guess each person's story by looking at their way of dressing, their expressions, and their way of speech.
Suddenly, the plasma computer screen lit up and beeped a few times. Everyone looked at the huge face of Agent 21 as his deep voice rumbled out.
"Hello, sorry to interrupt your little meeting. Another recruit will be joining Mr. von Hertzen and Mr. Springwood, soon. Agent 98 has gone to receive him. Just a heads up for you two here," Agent 21 said, "Goodbye for now." Then the screen went out.
Anton could feel the others' surprise, but he only frowned in response. Another boy? They have 6 kids now. Anton wondered who this new boy was and if he will cooperate with everyone as he went to remove his fencing suit.

Eli cocked his eyebrow at the new announcement "Another one?" He said breaking the silence. He shrugged deciding to just role with it. He went ahead and pulled off his fencing whites as he had his street clothes on under them then put them in his closet and pulled his trenchcoat on, formulating a plan. He went over to put Scamp in his pocket and began feeding the rat yogurt drops as he plotted.
He had an attachment to Scamp. Last year his dad had finnaly allowed him to get a pet providing that it was a small one, thinking that it would keep him out of trouble. So they had gone to several pet stores. Guinea pigs were to big for his liking and he didn't like hamsters or mice. He had already decided against reptile and they were just about to leave when he spotted an interesting colored rat in the reptile feeders. That was Scamp. Since then Scamp had kind of become his accomplice. All he basically did tho was passed him the lock picks tho.
He had a small private smile on his lips as he reminiced through out this. He finally came to a conclusion. "So," he began "Should I swipe the new guys wallet or not."

Antonio returned to his sparkling juice when Eli suddenly threw a question at them, asking for their advice if he should pick-pocket the new boy. Hm... just like a kleptomaniac to think that way. Anton didn't like that idea, but if Eli gives it back then it's alright. After all, Eli can't really control his habit. The others seemed to look amused.
Half-bored, half-amused, Anton said in a mocking tone, "Go ahead. See how long it takes for him to react. But when he pins you down, I won't help you. And speaking of him, I think he's going to be arriving soon anyways. So take care of your blood pressure, don't get too excited, Eli." Anton wiped the amusement off his face and finished his drink, then tossed his bottle in the garbage bin.

"Well, I'd leave that to until whether you gauge if he's a jerk or not," Ash said, having downed her entire bottle, chucking it at the recycling bin where it clunked around the opening for a second before plopping in. "Ooh! She shoots, she scores!" Ash said jokily as she went to the guys' bookshelves.
Tracing her fingers along the spines of the multitudes of books on the shelf, Ash turned her head to look at the others.
"So, what are our first antics going to be?"

What Vaan hates the most is not having enough time. And what makes him get really angry is the fact that he was still pretty tired after the plane ride from China. All Vaan knew was that it was getting really late and everything was like a blur now. Even though the only reason why he wasn't home was that his uncle told him to follow the shady looking lady. Vaan got into a room that the kind lady said he would be spending the night there.
"Well," Vann thought looking into the room. HE was so tired he just fell to the ground.

"So, what are our first antics going to be?"
Anton was contemplating whether to answer Ash. Once he tells her of Eli and his plans, then including the girls into their plot would most likely be inevitable. Express permission from Eli would also be needed since Eli is his partner in crime.
Suddenly the door slid open to reveal a Chinese boy who looked like a girl, but his physique gave him away. Probably an actor or a performer of some sort, Anton thought immediately. The boy simply collasped, from the fatigue shown on his face, which made Anton snort with irritation.
Anton turned to the others, who had the same questioning looks about what to do with the boy on the floor. What should he do? It wasn't like him to care for a stranger, but it also wasn't like him to leave a person who needed help, especially a new teammate. So deciding against his own wishes, Anton simply heaved the boy to his feet and tossed him onto the second set of bunkbeds. Then he smoothed out his school attire and said, "Well, what an entrance, boy." Remembering facts from his medical books he read before, Anton checked the boy's breathing, circulation, body temperature, and then gently pulled up his eyelids to check the eyes. Anton sighed, "Good, only fatigue. Get some rest." and left the boy to rest.

Vaan woke up looking into the ceiling feeling like he just ate a horse. He felt heavy and very ill, dizzy if it was more exact. He remembered feeling horrible and had collaped of fatigue and remembered a a boy which looked around his age had helped him to the bunk bed. Vaan had found himself lying on a bunk bed situated near the corner of the room. Vaan saw that he was in a room with two other boys. He couldn't see to cleary in the dark since he had forgotten his contacts in his one strap bag but he could still see.
He looked at the time and figured he slept for about five hours. It was 2:09 a.m in the morning and he figured it was time to do his early mornig streches.
"What a night," sighed Vaan. "I wished somebody would tell me whats going on," he thought.
Vaan had a habit of talking to himself even when no was there to here him. It gave a sense of self-being. Vaan decided to snoop around for a bit while everyone was still asleep. He decided to leave the room but as he was about to open the door, he heard someone waking up. Slowly and steadily turning his head, he saw that the boy that had helped him earlier that day had woken up.
"Did I wake you up?" Vaan said quietly.

Anton was a light sleeper, and his brain can still function properly even if he only sleeps for a few hours. He had set his alarm in his watch for 2:15 in the morning so he and Eli could explore and spy around the lab area and the security room area before the actual break-in. He had even stayed dressed in his school uniform to save time. When Anton heard a noise that sounded like someone was moving around in their dorm, he jumped off his bottom bunk and squinted in the dark to see how it was. It was the new boy.
"Did I wake you up?" Vaan said quietly.
Anton replied in his usual manner of treating others, "No, I was going to get up anyways. How are you feeling now? You collasped earlier this evening." Then he darted up the bunkbed ladder to wake Eli, who was still sleeping on the top bunk. He jumped down and turned his attention back to the Chinese boy.
It was time to find out the new boy's background, like Blake had done during the time in the van. Anton didn't want to look like he's prying, so he began, "Well, it's time for a proper introduction. I'm Antonio von Hertzen, you can call me Anton. What's your name, and do you know the reason why the FBI recruited you?" Without waiting for an answer, Anton went to pack some of his gadgets for their little night exploration and possibly a break-in.
((Maybe the girls could use this chance to follow the boys as they make preparations in the night for the break-in =D))

Vaan had a wide gaping mouth right now. This guy named Anton had just woken up and he seemed look like one of those smug and spoiled kids with lots of money. It didn't matter though since his calm face and sophisticated looks told a whole different story. Anton asked how Vaan was doing and why the FBI recruited him.
"The names Vaan," he said in a small tone, "rhymes with won." It didn't matter to him anymore. He felt that any further talk would be pretty much useless and he couldn't really grasp the idea of the FBI recruiting him but he did say. "Why are you dressed liked that and what do you mean recruited?" he questioned. But Vaan knew they were up to no good. There was another guy that was on the bed and he looked like the guy who couldn't keep his hands to himself. What he didn't approve was not knowing whats going.
"I don't like saying things twice so i'll make this nice and short , what do you mean I was recruited and why does it look like you two awake?" he said in ernest.

Anton could not believe his ears. The new boy, Vaan, did not know anything. Hadn't agent 21 or agent 98 explained anything to him before they took him to the dorm? He looked up from the gadgets in his stuffed backpack with a slightly exasperated expression. The boy was penetrating him with those curious and hostile stares that Anton usually got from others. There are plenty of real snobby rich kids who would only wear designer clothes just to show off. But he simply liked to dress like a professional, and Vaan seems to be reconsidering if he's really a snob or not.
Anton's eagle grey eyes swiftly swept over Vaan's posture, and he knew Vaan was genuinely confused. He replied, "This, is my school uniform," then he glanced at Eli's rising figure,"and he's Elijah, Eli for short. Are you sure those agents, that man and woman who escorted you here, did not fully explain to you what's going on here? Well then, there are 6 of us so far; 3 boys, 3 girls. We're all young people recruited by the FBI to become 'fill-ins' or substitute agents, as they put it, when the real agents need to concentrate on the sky-rocketing serious crimes. And recently, New York crime rates have been astoundingly increasing. We have special talents or maybe even special mental disorders that would allow us to think like criminals or be useful to crime-solving. Tomorrow will the first day of our four-week training, then after that, we'll probably be assigned to some smaller cases. And in case you're wondering, their plans are for our schooling after the training are yet to be decided." Then Anton took a deep breath and continued, "As for us being awake, we, like you, are planning to explore the building and its surrouding area."
For quick escape from the FBI Lab. We're too special for the FBI to expel even if we're caught, but of course, we have intention to do so, Anton thought. Then he packed some things from their desks that he would like to try out. "So, Mr. Eli, are we ready yet?"

Ash had taken the time in the afternoon after fencing with the boys to check out their computer set-up. It had been pretty easy for her to sneak in a bug behind the monitor, and she had heard all of their plans after the boys had shoved the girls out. So, Ash, like Anton, had set her alarm to wake her up, and now she was tapping away at her laptop, headphones in, listening in on all the happenings in the boys' room.
She didn't know whether Blake was awake or not, so she was being as quiet as possible. Jumping down lithely from the top bunk, landing on the trampoline, she neatly somersaulted onto the floor, making very little noise. The somersault hadn't been necessary, but Ash liked the idea of being a highly-trained spy. It had always been her childhood dream, and that was the reason why she had become such a good hacker; her brothers had convinced her that they were spies.
Quickly clothing herself in her brothers' old hand-me-down jeans, t-shirt and jacket, she topped off the entire kit with a beanie. It was like a lucky charm to her, and so she always wore it, when she had the chance. Checking that her chain of important items was around her neck with her USB keys and swiss army card, she slipped the laptop into a messenger bag and snuck out of the room to the boys' door, where she stood, listening. Waiting for the boys to come out.

Eli had woken up when Anton had shaken him but then almost immediately fallen back asleep in to light slumber. When he heard his name mentioned he sighed androlled over falling on to the floor. Needless to say that woke him up. He stumbled to his feet and headed to his desk chair where he had put his trench coat. He filled his right pocket with the lock picks he didn't already have on his key ring on there including 3 extra torq wrenches as you never knew when one could break. He put some electronic bypassing equipment into his left pocket then went to grab Scamp. He wasn't leaving his buddy behind on this one. He put Scamp into his breast pocket. "So, Mr. Eli, are we ready yet?" Anton called from his chat with the new guy. "Yeah." Eli said heading for the door.

Anton was smiling now and his eyes flashed with anticipation. Eli was finally ready. Anton wasn't sure what to do with Vaan, but hopefully he will be heading his own way and leave Anton and Eli to their business.
Speaking of be secretive, Anton had hoped the FBI would be considerate enough to give them a soundproof room. And that's when he froze. Thinking of the FBI and sound-related things, he realized that he had forgotten to do something in his excitement when he first arrived in the dorm. What if the FBI hid sound devices and hidden cameras around the dorm, like the one he found outside the Conference Room? Having criminal records would not allow the FBI to trust them 100%.
With a low growl of frustration, Anton whipped out a FBI sensoring gadget from his backpack and scanned the room for hidden security/spy objects. After a few seconds, two red targets on the screen pointed toward the huge computer monitor on the wall and something high in the corner of the ceiling. Anton looked up and saw an IR Day/Night Camera, probably stationed there for their protection. But he immediately found a bug from behind the screen and stared at it in shock and wonder. Anton commanded, "Stop, Eli, not yet. Looks like we have a little spy here."
Realization hit Anton with full force. Previously, Ash had been tampering with their computer system. It had to be her or Blake who hid it there. Surprisingly, Anton was actually relieved, yet astonished and furious that Ash or Blake managed to sneak past him. The FBI weren't so blind after all; they chose the right people for their work. In addition to that, the girls would have heard all their plans for the break-in.
With a low snarl, Anton gave the bug to Eli for examination. He would have done it himself, but he was not in the mood. Having a girl sneak past him like Blake had done during the fencing match, was too much for Anton's pride in his own cunning. Clenching his fists, Anton attempted to control his quivering voice as he spat this out, "Eli, I think they might be already a step ahead of us. They... they're probably outside waiting for us to make our move," not caring that Vaan was still there.

Ash, whose ear was pressed to the door, smirked slightly. She could tell that Anton had managed to find her less-than-discreet bug. If anything, Ash had only made it so obvious, just so that she could see Anton's reaction when he found it. If she had wanted to, she could have planted half-a-dozen fantastically hidden bugs in that room.
Her hand went to the back pocket of her jeans and pulled out the spare Card-Key that she had managed to palm off the desk when she had sat down earlier on, having used the manly drink-swigging as a distraction. Swiping the card through the lock, she opened the door and went right through into the room, grinning her trademark lopsided grin.
"Actually, Gentlemen, you might find that I am not outside, but in here," Ash said, holding up the stolen card-key between her first finger and her thumb. "Y'know, you should really take more care of your items. You never know when someone might just take it." With that, Ash flicked the card at Anton.
She strode over to the swivel chair and sat down in it, steepling her fingers. "Don't worry, you needn't brief me on what you're doing, as, I'm sure you're aware, I've already heard it all. But, you know, you're going to need someone with all the HQ's inside information with you. Perhaps, someone with a recently repaired FBI super-laptop..."

Blake rolled over, then opened her eyes. She looked around, and realized Ash wasn't there. Oh snap! The break-in... I forgot! She's probably outside... Blake thought, nimbly jumping out of bed. She threw on some ripped jeans, a tee, and a hoodie. She slipped on her special shoes, which were like ballet shows but black, had good grip, and were silent, and slipped out the door.
When Blake got into the hallway, she could just see Ash slipping into the boys room with the swiped key card. Right before the door closed, Blake too slipped in, while the boys were turned around with their attention on Ash. She silently jumped up onto the desk and grabbed onto the ceiling fan, like she had earlier. But this time, she pulled herself up so she was sitting on top of the fan. She was glad this wasn't on of the cheap wooden fans, or she would be a goner.
No one had seen her yet, except maybe that new boy, but she had pressed a finger to her lips in hope of keeping the secret. She was planning to jump down and hopefully infuriate Anton more, but she just had to wait for the right time....

((Sorry, I'm gonna use Blake a bit... I need to heal Anton's state =P))
Anton was boiling mad as Ash barge through the door and threw his key card back to him. And now she's trying to force her way into the game with knowledge of the FBI's defense systems and other things. Anton snorted, as if he hadn't found out already. He took pride in all his skills, including collecting data.
Just then, a whoosh of wind passed behind Anton and a look of shock crossed Vaan's face for 2 seconds. Anton immediately realized that someone was behind him, and seeing a shadow of a moving fan, he guessed it was most likely Blake and her fan trick. Despite his efforts to calm himself, his blood pulsed quickly and his rage overwhelmed his humiliation, lending him monstrous energy. His face darkened like a mask.
Anton bolted out of the way, jumped onto a bunk, rebounded onto his desk and leapt through the air, heading right at Blake. In an instant, he twisted his body and did a flip kick at Blake's wrists. Then landing on the ground, he saw Blake gasp slightly as she lost her grip at the pain from the collision, and began falling to the ground. The monster inside Anton cheered as Blake's head was heading dangerously toward the corner of a desk as her body slanted. And in that moment, Anton realized that all his stress, humiliation, and anger for his previous failures he tried to suppress, were released through this violent action. For a second, his conscience returned, allowing him to master himself again.
Just as Blake's head was about to hit the desk, Anton summoned a new burst of energy and threw himself forward, pulling Blake to his chest, away from any danger. They landed in a heap by the door. Pale faced and slightly shaking, Anton untangled himself and did a rapid body check on Blake for any signs of injuries. He sighed with relief, she had no injuries except bruises on her wrists. Bowing his head in shame, words full of anguish, poured out of Anton, "I'm sorry Blake. I'm sorry everyone. I know I can be very unstable and I think I'm so great in front of you all, so I apologize for everything. The FBI certainly chose the right people. But I don't think I'm good enough to work with anyone... All my life, I've been trying so hard...to save myself..."
Anton stared at the ground in shock. First he was cleverly beaten, then lost control, and now he was letting go of his inner feelings. He looked up pleadingly at Blake and the others, hoping that, maybe, they would forgive him for who he was.

Blake saw exactly where her head would hit, but also saw she had exactly no chance of moving before her head hit. Though she did have enough time to think a few thoughts. Way to snap Anton. Oh you are so dead. Snap this is gonna hurt. Will I get knocked out. Oh Anton is so dead. But just before she hit the desk, she was knocked aside. She felt herself being crushed against a body, and then she was under someone. It was none other than... Anton. As soon as he got off of her, she popped to her feet.
"Anton... it's okay." Blake said, softly. "I actually thought it was a bit fun.... and thank you for saving me. Then again, you put me in danger so... we're even?" she said, with a cheeky smile.

Anton laughed with relief and amusement as he slowly lifted his face again and whispered a grateful "thank-you" to Blake. He was forgiven by the girl he had so cruelly attacked. Girls are such unpredictable opponents. Somewhere in his imagination, he saw his parents nodding approvingly. Forgiveness and the approval of his loving parents were all he needed at that moment. He had learned something new: to accept that there will always be something to learn no matter how great a person is.
Anton regained composure and stood up straight with a different light in his eyes that showed a new determination. Maybe having the girls join them weren't so bad. THey do have something to offer. He replied clapping his hands together, "Yes, we're even now. I suppose we're all equals, eh? Since we all know what to do, we would have to split up into two groups and meet at the entrance to the 'place' when everything is well prepared. Let's quickly go over our roles."
Not sure if Vaan was into their plan or not, Anton turned to Vaan, "Sorry, we're kind of busy here. I think you need more sleep, or you'll faint again during tomorrow's training."

Ash had been quite horrified and shocked at what Anton had just done to Blake. He's a sore loser! If he can't stand being bested by a girl, he's going to have a hard time hanging around with us, 'cause we're skilled in our areas of expertise, and so it is obvious that we're all going to be besting each other in those areas.
She went to Blake's side, taking a look at her wrists. They were red and looking quite nasty. "Dude, have you seen what you've done to Blake's wrists? That's going to affect her gymnastic abilities and hinder her efforts, you realise. I'm not going to rebuke you, but you should know that it is possible for girls to best boys at things, especially in areas that they are particularly gifted at. Please, next time, don't lose your cool."

Anton wanted to retort back at Ash, but he walked to the window to cool down instead. Yes, he had done it and he regretted his actions. But he was truly sorry and had apologized already. What more can he do? Didn't they know how great the responsibility of having to act cool every time he was beaten by a girl?
He looked out at the stars in the sky. This was not going well. How come he could accept getting defeated in fencing but not at this little matter? He was too cocky, that's why. It was he who did everything for himself after his parents died and Lucas being too busy with the family business. It was he who planned each and every break-in. It was he invented all those things back in his home and it was he who taught himself to drive and navigate a car, a submarine, or a plane. Alone. All by himself. Then he remembered something. His fencing coach had yelled at him: "You're greatest flaw is the inability to accept the fact that girls can be better than you! You'll never improve if you don't learn to admit this truth yourself!"
Taking a deep breath, Anton turned around to face the girls and replied in a cool tone, "You can have my word that I will be keeping my temper in check. Is there anything I can do for you, Blake, before we go anywhere?" He knew they were wasting time. Half an hour has passed already. They needed to get going now if they were ever going to break into a high security lab.

Blake sighed. "Ash, I'm fine. I've suffered from worst then red wrists. I've performed with a sprained ankle. I'll live." she said, confidently. Mayeb she should be mad at Anton, but she wasn't. If he hadn't seemed so... ashamed of what he had done, so guilty, she probably would have been mad. But he did seem, well, almost angry with himself, so she knew he regretted it.
Blake looked up when Anton addressed her. "Oh. Oh, no. I'm okay. Not too bad..." she said, rubbing her wrists. "Like I've said, I've suffered worst. I'm pretty sure we all have." Okay, so they did hurt pretty badly, but Blake wasn't a dainty little girl. She wouldn't complain. "So, yeah, the break-in. How are we going to do this?" she asked, her tone suggesting that the topic was dropped.

Anton knew he had acted like a typical jerk and was sure that Ash was hating him more than ever. I had just managed to sort of befriend Elijah, now I'd have to do something to prove that I'm not a monster.
He cleared this throat, and replied, "That's right, the break-in. Well, since Ash with those marvelous computer skills of hers, I was hoping she can take care of the security guards. Eli will be doing the actual break-in at the door because he's all prepared already. Blake, if you don't mind, I think you could sneak into the lab through air vents in the ceiling first, and tell us if the coast is clear or not. We don't want to run into any FBI guards if any of them are stationed in the lab. We don't want to be in the air vent either because they will send someone up and then we'll all be trapped. And I will set up quick getaway gadgets around the area if we need a quick escape. So in short, Eli and Ash will be at the Lab entrance while Blake is checking the lab for guards, and I will join you guys after I'm done with my gadgets. Any suggestions or questions?"
Anton paused and reached into his trouser pockets, taking out four ear buds. They were simple wireless buds with some alterations he made. "Here, take one of these. Once they're turned on, they'll connect to the satellite and we'll be able to hear each other like a mini version of a cellphone. So Blake, you can communicate to us before we sneak into the lab," and he passed one to everyone.

Ash took the ear bud and hooked up a connection to her laptop. Her hands dashed across the keyboard and she brought up a three-dimensional map of the HQ from the files that had been left on the laptop. She was skim-reading the readouts next to it about the security guard shifts and what happened.
"Right, from what I have here, I can tell you that there are seven shifts of armed guards per floor, each of which roam a strict pattern around each floor. At important doors such as the laboratories and the like, they will never be out of sight from a group of security guards. As one set of guards turns one corner at the end of the corridor, at the other end, another set of guards will be coming in. Evidently there is something important in that lab."
Ash's eyes dashed across the screen, the blue and red 3D rendition of the map reflecting in her eyes. Her brow creased as she focused, working out the best way of infiltration.
"Anton, you're right, the best way in for Blake will be through the air vents. There is a duct halfway down this corridor which will lead straight to it. If I put a tracker on you, Blake, I'll be able to track you from where I will be."
She then looked up at Anton, briefly making eye contact and then looking around at the others. "I can provide a distraction to get rid of the guards, but the most time we'll have for Eli to break in will be 5 minutes and 23 seconds at best. Do you think we'll be able to pull all this off, just for exploration?"

'Five minutes and 23 seconds.' He thought over and over again in his head as he put in the ear bud. With the VIP cards it should be 5 seconds. Then the bypassing of finger print scanner should take 2 minutes. The if he reset the logs that would be another 3. "We would have about 19 seconds in there unless someone can reset the entrance logs for me." He said running his hand through his hair. He went over to his desk and emptied all except his own picks into the drawer and then went through the drawers of electronic bypassing stuff for anything better than what he already had to try and give them more time. He found nothing better than what he already had on him. But he did find a bag of twizzlers which he pocketed.

Anton nodded appreciatively at Ash, Blake, and Alex. This indeed was a new experience for him: working in such a big group. Yet, they were probably the best teammates he would ever meet in all of USA. He clapped his hands together as if they were ready for a business contract, “5 minutes and 23 seconds it is, then.” He would have liked more time, perhaps to even steal a few ideas so he could invent some prototypes, at least, of whatever gadgets there were inside. But oh well.
When Eli mentioned the entrance log, Anton rummaged through his backpack again and luckily found his code deactivation device. He inputted his password then tossed it to Eli, “This thing resets entrance logs too. The password’s 007AVH, just in case it locks itself. Follow the instructions on the display for resetting.”
Then he looked directly at Ash. “I’m heading there first to install my temporary escape gadgets. Will you please remove or blur my figure from the camera records should it appear? Then precisely a minute after I’m gone, Blake and Eli can be dispatched while you arrange the distractions and join us.”
He quickly checked that his pockets were fully stocked with smoke bombs, mini-grappling hooks, and exploding decoys that he will only activate by his digital watch if the guards return while they’re still in there. Anton nodded at everyone, “Good luck.” He walked briskly out of the room with a key card in his pocket. Once he had rounded the corner, Anton stealthily sprinted down to the corridors nearest to the guards doing their rounds, and discreetly positioned his escape plan gadgets in the shadows. Then smirking, he stayed in the shadows watching the lab entrance and the guards. He checked the time: 5 seconds left. Eli and Ash should arrive soon. Blake should be in the vents.

Blake glanced over Ash's shoulder to see the map of the vents. Getting to the one leading to the lab didn't seem to be difficult if she started from the vent that was in the boy's room, just turn left once, turn right once, and then go straight. "Okay, I think I got it. Can I see the tracker?" Ash handed it over, and Blake decided behind her ear was probably the best place to put it, easy to reach if she needed to take it off. Then she reached into a drawer of technology stuff in the desk, and pulled out two walkie-talkies. "Here, I'll keep one and radio you when I know if anyone's in there." she said, then with a wave she jumped up on top of a chair and started opening the vent.
"Okay, I'm right above the lab now. There are a lot more bugs up here than I thought there would be." Blake whispered into her walkie-talkie a few minutes later. "But I don't see any guards. You guys are all clear." she said. "Now, just to figure out how to turn around..."
