As usual, a place to re-group and put your heads together when you don't know where to take a RP next. Please note:

YOU MUST PUT THE TITLE OF THE RP YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT AT THE TOP OF YOUR POST

Also, there has been a new trend lately with people asking for openings. As I said in the rules that you've read and signed already (right?), you don't have to do this. You don't ask for openings in real life. You just walk up and start talking to people. Same goes for RPs. Whether you're just starting an RP, or whether you've got a character who's been in the story from the beginning, figure out a way to walk into a situation and say hello. Just make sure you're not about to ruin the mood (which was also discussed in those rules you've already read, right?)

Other than that, you know what to do. :)

Stuff of Dreams: It wasn't really based off of Game Over (well... kinda, but it is one of my favourite films, as with Sky High XD) but it was more based off a dream that I had recently, because, in my dream, I was me, but I wasn't, if you get my drift. And then, I saw my friends, but they weren't themselves either. Then, because I know how to lucid dream (control your dreams) we did all sorts of things. It was one of the best dreams ever *sighs* so I thought it would be a fun rp :D

Steampunk: Cat, I love you for loving Steampunk!!! <3 :D so, please stay in this rp :D

Also, I just want to say, 30∫2 is actually the equivalent of about 2112 in years, but I wanted a cool way to say it :o And so, it will be very Steampunk-esque in the technology used by the Steampunks, because it will be from whatever they can use.

Does anyone else want to join Steampunk? 'cause it will be fun :) Also, it is rather like "The Supernaturalist" by Eoin Colfer, so if you've read that, I would suggest you join.

Annie, can we just agree now that any RPs you begin will be your mod responsibility? I felt bad for a moment asking you to be in charge of yet more RPs, then I realized you had started most of your moderated RPs anyway. haha. I just kind of figure that since you're reading every post as you RP, moderating it would be a bit of a no-brainer...

Yeah, it's fine :D It makes sense really, so it's no problem. Even when I don't log on, I'm basically modding and just logging in to be evil :p

Also, Nevvie, I'm just wondering, is there a limit to how many rps can be made at one time to be played? 'Cause I have about five rps that I've got up my sleeve for a while, but I figured that it might not be the best thing to do to go and start five rps in one day, having started two others in the last two days.

Thanks, but at this time, I'm considering having the time for VFD a triumph... granted, I've been blocked since december... *cough* but it's probably best that I don't join since my schedule leaves me with lots of time some weeks, and zero time others. :(

I think as far as starting RPs goes, there's not really a rule, because if members want 100 active RPs, that's fine by me, however there should probably be some courtesy involved for other RPs that might be forgotten as newer RPs pop up... maybe try to just do one or two new ones per month, and then each month replace the ones that didn't catch on. That way, it would give other people's RPs a chance, too.

Ah, I see. Well, if you ever feel like joining Steampunks (which I think you'd enjoy, 'cause the Steampunks are basically victorian-esque people in the future/present.) you're always welcome :D

I also get what you mean about courtesy to the other rps by not having too many pop up. :) 'Tis understandable. I know what you mean by how rps are forgotten when newer ones spring up *cough Imagination is a Blessing not a Curse, among others cough cough* and so it makes sense not to have too many new rps coming up.

Stuff of Dreams: I was wondering if we could start this rp. I really like the idea and can't wait to rp. :p But I'm not sure if it's tradition or not for the creator of the rp to post first. I'll be patient and wait.

Stuff of Dreams: Don't worry, I've started it :D And I don't know if it is courtesy or something for the creator to start the rp. I remember, once, when the creator of a really cool rp just vanished for no reason, we went ahead and started it. Next time, methinks that I'm just going to start the rp in my first post and let everyone just join and rp as they go :)

Steampunks: What's gonna happen? When will we start doing... Rebelly stuff?

Steampunks: Have you ever read a book called "The Supernaturalist" by Eoin Colfer? Well, the City of Ahmay is loosely based on the central location of the book, and I was thinking that the rp will be kinda like that.

Basically, they will go around, causing absolute hell for the Enfremon, and ultimately the Herethpa, and eventually, the Steampunks will be captured by the Enfremon and they have a near-death experience when the sixth sense is awoken in their body, so they are able to see spirits and creatures that normal people can't see. They wil learn that the Herethpa are harnessing the power of these Supernatural beings, ultimately leading to the destruction of the human race, and it will be up to the Steampunks to stop the Herethpa. But, until then, they are gonna run around being rebelly, engaging in banned car racing in Stactaya and building up their antics by tampering with the Myishi satellite that controls Ahmay. :D

Hopefully that is a good outline :D

Steampunks: The curfew sirens could sound, and that is when the Stactaya people come out, ready to cause mischief in the Conformist district, or they could be having banned car races, or the Steampunks could raid a technology supply in the Conformist district in order to replenish their stocks of weaponry...

Or they could be quite crazy and forget all the troubles that dog them, and they can go and have a walk around Stactaya, just enjoying themselves for once.

Stuff of Dreams: He Thirrin, I was going try to come in by seeing Jamie being dragged into the bathroom, and then either wait for him to come out to see if he is okay, or sliding a note under the door. Or just waiting for a different opening. Are either of those good ideas? I didn't want to mess up any plans.

Dreams: I think it's a little bit too soon. They should have a couple of midnight adventures first without knowing each other's true identities so they could develop a relationship of a sort and then when they find out who they really are it'll create more drama. :p Or at least that's just my opinion.

Then when their plan doesn't work (shock to Anton's genius mind), they decide to ask for the girls' help? then maybe it gives an opening to claire, because we're all in the boys' dorm right now and she can't just barge in .. o.O

Oh right, i don't think they should do the break-in right away because they should do a little scouting around to be familiar with the place first. The scouting around could possibly be in between the training sessions. Maybe the girls start suspecting something and they follow the boys...

FBI: hm.... blake should continue to be hostile to anton, answer his question or something, then leave with Ash... I remember now, Ash has a picture of Blake's code in her laptop... so the girls could be ontheir own mission to solve the code while the boys do their break-in plan.

By the way, PIP, what are your intentions for the code? does it connect to the VIP lab in any way?

Just bringing up an idea I mentioned once before: While Paxton, Lou, and Sim are at the mountain headquarters, I think it would be cool if they are the ones who invented the Verse Fluctuation Devise (that way someone doesn't have to constantly guard the door). Paxton could invent the mechanical part, and Lou and Sim, being the scholar and writer of the group, could come up with a list of difficult literary questions for the device once Paxton builds it...

Anton and Eli think they've gotten everything prepared... then somehow these killer laser beams get triggered, and the boys narrowly escape after seeing whatever cool stuff is inside the lab. when they escape out of the room, they should slip pass the guards coming to investigate...

Hm... I finished ASOUE long time ago, but I still remember most of the things because I reread books a lot. I could make a character to run Anwhistle Aquatics like Charles. It's a marine research centre right? But please tell me if one of my posts for elder doesn't make sense.

For my young character, I was hoping that he could be a lost Quagmire. His parents and older twin brothers died in fire. VFD believes that he's dead as well. A family friend (a VFD member, Dr. Anwhistle?) rescued him as an infant and was given a locked box that contained his parents' secrets and about the sapphires. The Doctor received threats and took the boy to different towns to hide and eventually to Anwhistle Aquatics(?). The boy has two talents that helps him to figure out all the secrets his parents left him with because the Doctor wants to train him to figure things out for himself. The Doctor stays behind to guard Anwhistle Aquatic with his sister Rachel (?). During this time they couldn't get any word that the last Quagmire was alive to the other VFD Headquarters because letters could be intercepted. Somehow word got out that a Quagmire was seen in the town of Lake Lachrymose and villains came to investigate. In order to lead the villains away from being so close to a VFD headquarters, the Doctor agrees to let the boy act as bait and lead them away from Lake Lachrymose. THe boy is then in search of the city VFD Headquarters while the Doctor gets a message from Abigail Snicket that a team of kids are coming to his place as a test. Then the boy manages to trick the villains and find the city VFD headquarters using the things in the box and Doctor's descriptions.

Do you think that's a good idea? So there we have a new boy and the doctor as an elder for the Anwhistle Aquatics. (I need to post in light pink and light green right?)

Perhaps if you played Gregor Anwhistle as well as a Quagmire staying at Anwhistle Aquatics, and then you joined up with Georgia and Libby's charries to go to the VFD Headquarters?
Then as the rest of the story unfolds and people start to go out on more and more missions as more and more mysteries unfold, your character could find the locked box and go from there...

Does Gregor Anwhistle need to send a telegraph to VFD (Abigail Snicket) to let them know when the kids arrive? Then they need to go home to the VFD HQ.

He's a strange cross between a grownup version of someone's weird little brother, and a nutty professor. :D)

Penelope Snicket cannot be pregnant. I'm going to go edit out any post that ever indicated that there was a baby expected, and Frederick/Francis' birth will be announced sometime in the future of the story via a letter to Abigail (which was how I was going to do it anyway, but I forgot Penelope could never be officially declared pregnant at any point in the story). Yeah, sorry if that got a bit confusing. Basically, it's about a bunch of kids that wish their life at home was different, and then there is a storm one night, and they wake up in Oz. Glinda tells them that they need to follow the yellow brick road and get to the emerald city, where they meet Elphaba and learn about how she isn't wicked. I dunno if Dorothy has been yet or not, we could decide that later :p

Dreams: Well, we could cut to the end of school, with possibly an incident between Jayti and Charlie that might tip off the other dreamers, who could be passing by, who they are in the dream world. OR, in the dream world, they accidentally reveal who they are to the rest of the group, then everyone knows who each other is. Eventually leading to the whole group forming firm friendships in the real world. But then, something could be happening in the real world that affects the dreamworld, like, for example, some person who bears one of the group ill will (e.g. Brad to Sovay) could find out about the dreamworld and somehow does something to ruin their dreams.

And, what do you say to their dreaming leading to something bigger than just dreams? Like, some of their dreams could come to life in the real world, and they are the only people with any power to stop the dreams.

Dreams: I like all of those ideas. Especially the two last one. What should we do first? I would assume doing something to tip off the others...

SoD: Or maybe something bad could happen in the real world, affecting who the dream world people are.

Example:

Sovay could hurt herself somehow and end up in the hospital suddenly and when she gets to sleep, her dreamself goes haywire hurting everybody and in the real world everyone is stunned and wants to know what is happening, you know...

OR stuff that happens in the Dreamworld (like Sovay shooting Jamie) could actually drive over to the real world. Like Jamie finds an actual bullet in his arm... etc etc..

VFD: Is Sim awake yet? Are the girls going to have a moment to themselves to just be girls? Are Paxton, Lou, and Sim planning on meeting up somewhere before dinner or is everyone just going to stroll into the kitchen for our next scene?

I plan on having Chas discuss the problem of having to have someone guarding the door from sunup to sundown, so hopefully we can get going on the Verse Fluctuation Device team project. I don't want the VFD final exam to last forever because it would be nice to get everyone back to headquarters and start handing out dangerous missions, but it would be nice for your charries to have that chance to be the inventors of such a pivotal part of VFD history.

Also, during dinner or at some point up in the mountains, it would be nice if someone inquired about why Chas' kids aren't part of VFD like your charries are, since there are members as young as toddlers.

Dreams: Well, it could be that the bell has gone and school has ended, and everyone is going to their buses, and, maybe, as Charlie and Jayti are walking towards their seperate buses, Charlie says something like, "See you tonight, Lynk!" and Jayti replies, "See you later, Cos!" as the go, and maybe one of the other dreamers hears this, but just thinks they are hearing things.
