Hey everyone, just thought I would say hi, I'll do that in the Welcome! Board though, anyways, let's get this started...

The year is 2030, a family, living a quiet life in the suburbs is about to dramatically change. This families grandparents, went on an expedidtion to the Mayan River back in 2002, they came back with nothing. Or so the family thought. What they didn't know was that their grandparents made an outstanding discovery, but kept it secret, to avoid the media and snuck them back to Canada with ease.

One day the grandchildren were all visiting their favourite grandparents at their house. While they were running around the house ran upstairs. When they ran upstiars, the attic ladder slid down slowly. The grandchildren decided it would be fun to up there, why not? When they were up there they found what their grandparents have found. Orbs. Little orbs consisting of the colours Orange, Green, and Blue. The kids took them down to their grandparents and they told them that they found them during their expedition and should leave them alone. What the children didn't know is that these orbs held great power. If you had one of these orbs in your possession, you could control the element it represented. Orange represented Fire, Green for Earth, and Blue for water. The grandchildren thought there should be one more, they searched the house and found one orb, a clear one, not knowing what it did they took it to their grandparents and were flabbergasted that they found it. The grandparents told the children that they could control elements with these orbs, but shouldn't be handling them. As the years passed on, the grandchildren got more and more curious about the orbs and they decided to take them, some with good intentions, some, bad...

So this RP takes place when the grandchildren are around 14-15 years old, when they found these orbs they were 5-6 so it's been a long time since they ever talked about them. The grandchildren have chosen which orb the wanted, and some even teamed up and split the orb so they could both have the power.

Appearance: Joey is small for his age compared to other people. He is a rather quiet but when he is wound up he can be a handful, he can't fight very well because he isn't very masculine, he has brown hair and green eyes and is average with his school work. He doesn't have many friends, nor does he want any, he is perfectly fine with his family and that's all he needs.
History: Joey comes from a family who is very outgoing. He was the odd one out and isn't too active, but can really shine at times. His mom is the daughter of his grandparents who went on their expedition, Joey hopes he can go on an adventure like that one day.
Likes/Dislikes: Likes: Just about anything, especially chocolate. Dislikes: Not alot, but he dislikes fire, he never liked being so close to it.

Appearance: Long strawberry red hair that falls in her face all the time and mostly cover her bright blue eyes. She is usually in jeans and a T-shirt or hoodie.
History: Her parents are always working so she's always with her (cousin...or we can make it neighbors since they can be close friends only if you allow it) since she lives not that far from them. She has a younger brother who found out about the orbs but thats because he's always prying into her things. Her brother, Eric, is a 10 year old genius who looks just like her with the red hair and blue eyes, just he has freckles all over his face.
Likes/Dislikes: She's more into guy stuff then girly stuff. So she's more punk and tomboyish then anything else, but she does have her girly moments.
Other: Her and her brother are really close, they may have their sibling rivalry, but they are always there for each other since their parents aren't ever around.

I mean I don't think her little brother will be that big of a player unless we need a tech genius to help the kids out to come up with gadgets or something...idk how this is going to work out...maybe they can become like a hero team or something...???-just thinking out loud))

Appearance: Dark brown, almost black hair that is silky and wavy. It falls past her shoulders. Her eyes are green with some splotches of honey in them. She dresses in dark-ish colors, but not strictly black. A kind of odd-rock style. It's definitely unique.

History: Mother is the daughter of the grandparents who went on the expedition. Was the kid who wanted to go into the attic in the first place.

Likes/Dislikes: She likes to be in charge and be powerful. She doesn't like feeling out of the loop, or feeling unprepared. She doesn't like people who are naive and get in her way, but anyone who helps her or has the same goals as her is on her good side. Though you are on her good side at first, in the end she works alone and the power will go to her.

Other: Her mother and father are CEO of different companies and are control-freaks. Bianca wants to be powerful and controlling like they are, hence her want for all the orbs to herself, not just one.

Appearance: Dark brown/black hair with a streak of silver on the side. Hazel eyes and a slim build with a beauty mark right above her lip. Usually fashionable, and always has at least one glove on.
History: Laken's family had been uberly rich, until her father bought a mine that turned out to be a dud, or so they thought. While exploring it one day, Laken found a blue orb, not knowing that it was only a part of one orb that someone had lost. Laken likes to think she's better than everyone else.
Likes: Herself, anything silver, gloves, insects, and money
Dislikes: Most other people, anything yellow, worms, and being poor
Other: While Laken can be snobby and rude, once she gets to know someone, she can be very honest and easy to trust.

Appearance: wild spiky dark blonde hair, cerulean blue eyes that always look they’re going to penetrate into your thoughts, faint freckles, pale skin due to the amount of time he spends indoors, rather thin body.

History: father is the son of the grandparents and well-known neuroscientist. Mother is from a different family, and she is an orchestral conductor. Has another sibling a year younger.
Likes/Dislikes: likes to think logically like a scientist and depend on himself even when he knows he needs help. Likes to appear cold, confident, and serious. Despises all tasteless jokes. Dislikes anyone who challenges/has a doubt with his intelligence and abilities, or judging other people too quickly.

Other: Since his parents are a neuroscientist and a conductor in the orchestra, he and his sibling are really ambitious and imaginative/creative in their own style. He can play the violin and the piano. Later, he develops an idea to combine the powers of the orbs into one, and he goes onto the dark side. But then he will change to the good side after he succeeds, possibly with the help of his sibling.

Other:Tries to keep Justin in check even though he older than her. She's also rather loyal to her opinions and knows when to go with her gut.

History: Mother is daughter of the famous grandparents while father comes from a different family; father is son of a famous oceanographer. She's an only child.
Likes/Dislikes: punk rock music (like Linkin Park) and dark colors; dislikes pop music and Disney stars
Other: very friendly, until you get on her bad side.

"Come on guys! Let's play hide n' seek!" urged Joey, "Plleeaassee?" he whined, hoping to get the attention of someone, "Why don't you guys want to play hide n' go seek? It'll be fun!" Joey stood in the centre of the living room, pleading his cousins and close friends to play hide and go seek, he was bored of watching tv, "Why don't you guys want to play? Our grandparents house has so many places to hide! Come onnnnnn!" he whined awaiting for a response from someone, "Anyone?"

Alice giggled at Joey. "I wanna pway to!" she smiled wide. She stood next to Joey "comwon! We wanna pway! It will be fun!" she looked at everyone else. Then gave them all an evil grin "And who wever don't wanna pway is a wroasted chicken." she said hoping that would get everyone to play. She turned to face Joey "comwon, I gonna hide. You start counting Joey!" she said her dimples showing as she smiled wide. She turned and headed down the hall. "comwon! Who is comwing with me?!" She said in half a whine as she put a hand on her hip waiting impatiently.

Justin had been to the kitchen where their grandparents were preparing afternoon snack for them. He had offered to help mixed the cookie dough but grandma said he was too little to be cooking food and had ushered him back to his cousins and friends. He really didn't like it when adults treated him as if he was too dumb to do anything, but what could he do? He was only a 5-year kid after all.

Just then, little Joey began begging them to play hide-and-seek with him, and Alice joined. Justin didn't mind. He liked this game. He looked at Charlie, his sister, "Wanna play? Joey's counting alweady! Let's go!" and smiling, he dashed out to join Alice.

Alice giggled. "little Joey won't ever find us. He's too little to think like us. We smarter then he is." she smirked looking for a good place to hide. She smirked winking back at the others. "come on...how about in here....?" she said looking towards the hallway. She looked between the rooms and shook her head. "I think this might be tooooo easy." she sighed and looked at the others "any good places to hide here...one that little Joey won't find? He's tiny and can fit anywhere." she groaned a bit upset that she had underestimated the boy.

Charlie was ready for this game. She ran and ducked behind a box in the attic only to find some one else there already. She dashed from hiding place to hiding place but found a bunch of them filled she finnally had to choose between a very cliche spot in the dresser or above in the rafters of the attic. Her choice was quickly decided as some one else darted into the closet. She heard Joey's counting time getting shorter and shorter as she climbed into the rafters. She was up with time to spare and looked out from behind the beam and saw everyone else in there hiding places. "Ready or not here I come!"

Bianca sighed and watched as all the other kids ran off the play hide-and-go-seek. She sat, not really wanting to play. She considered herself above the other kids, and she didn't really like hide-and-go-seek. But her grandparents didn't understand why she wasn't playing. "Honey, all the other kids are playing. Why don't you go hide quickly, so Joey can find you too? You like hide-and-go-seek, right?" her Grandma implored.

Bianca sighed. "Grandma, I don't like the other kids. They're... weird." she said testily. "Bianca dear, go play hide and go seek. Now." her Grandfather told her sternly. "Oh, fine." she said, then stalked off to the attic, where everyone else was hiding.

She looked around quickly, then quickly squeezed into box and closed the lid. She thought she felt something else in there, something round and smooth, but didn't dare move in fear of being found. She thought she could hear Joey coming.

Justin listened to the others' footsteps and as they hurried up stairways and pounded in the hallways to their hiding places, as he went to find his. A look of concentration and tactical thinking crossed his face, while he watched Alice disappear down a corridor, making quite some noise. Justin caught up to her and put a finger to his lips, signalling to her for silence or she'll be caught.

Few seconds later, Justin heard Joey finish his count, so he darted up the stairs to his favourite hiding place: the storage room. It was dark, scary-looking, filled with clothese and junk that were still seldomly used. Good thing it was not smelly too. He choose the far corner of the room and piled clothes over him to camouflage himself. He knew where Charlie hid. Probably in the attic, up on the rafters.

"Rweady or not! Here I come!" Joey shouted. He ran down the hallways looking in every little space possible, "No, no! Where could they bwe!" Joey ran upstairs and to no avail could he find the other kids! "Okway guys! I'm gonna find you!" Joey shouted. He ran up into the attic and heard giggling. He looked in the little nooks and cranny's but couldn't find where the giggling was coming from. He looked into a cupboard and saw a little shiny thing. He left it for a moment and looked at a moving clothes pile. "I fwound you!" Joey uncovered all of the clothes and saw Justin, "Yay I fwound someone!" Joey went back to the closet and rummaged through it, while he was rummaging he saw little orbs. "Justin look! I think somewon is there!" and the little orbs fell out.

When Joey said he found something, Bianca subtly peeked out of her hiding spot in the box. Joey would probably be too focused on whatever he found to care. It's probably something dumb anyway... Bianca thought, rolling her eyes. But when she looked down, she could see they were shining orbs in different colors. Bianca's mouth fell open. They looked so cool!

A green one rolled towards her, and hit the side of her box. Checking to make sure no one was looking, she grabbed the glowing green orb and slid back into her box, hoping no one saw her.It feels like it's... moving. she thought, throwing the orb up lightly, then catching it in her other hand.

Alice jumped out of her place. She had seen the beams too but didn't want to say anything she wasn't scared but she wasn't a cheater. She liked winning. Now that everyone was found but her she allowed herself to come out and looked at the orb. She found herself attracted to the bright yellow orange glowing orb. She gasped as it came to her, she touched it with her hands. It was shiny and very pretty. She had no words to describe the awesome feeling of having the orb in her hands. All she could do was hold and admire it.

Justin had heard the others giggling and he had gotten restless waiting for Joey to find him. And then of course, that's how he gave himself away. "Good job, Joey!" he gave Joey a high five, for encouragement and for finding those shining, mysterious orbs, rolling around on the attic floor.

Justin was a little suspicious about them at first, because he remembered his Father saying that scientists never directly touch something that you don't know. But before he could warn them, the others already touched them and they didn't seem to be dangerous. So Justin went to a cluster of orange, blue, and green orbs nearby. The orange one looked like the sun. The green one had a very nice colour. The blue looked like there were sparkly waves swirling around. Justin examined each orb one by one, admiring its glow. Hmm...but in teams and games, there are always four colours. Justin's instincts told him that there might be one orb in a different colour. But he soon forgot about it as he became interested in the blue one, which he felt very comfortable holding it.

Joey looked around as he saw everyone out of their spots, "I win!" he said and he said, "I don't got a shiny bwall..." he was about to pout but he saw something shiny hiding in the back corner of the rafters, "he walked on the boards and saw a little hole in the wall. "Oohhh what's in here?" Joey reached in and grabbed the shiny object. It was another orb. "It's mine! I want it! You all got one but me," Joey sobbed a bit but looked at the orb and saw a bunch of swirls, "Oooo shiny," Joey was completely mesmerised, "Justwin! Justwin! Look at this!" he brought it over and showed it to Justin, "Isn't it pwetty?"

Justin sighed as Joey's cries broke his concentration on the orb he was holding. He was really intrigued by the blue orb. But, it was Joey, and Justin liked the little toddler. "Right here, Joey," he replied, as Joey approached him, holding his own little treasure. Justin marvelled at the one he brought over, "Yes, Joey, it is very pretty." Pretty was not a word he would use to desribe these round glass-like things, but to little kids, it didnt matter.

He asked Joey, eyes wide with amazement, "What do you think these are for?"

"I don't know! Should we go tell gwandma and gwampa?" Joey asked, "Maybe they know!" before anyone could respond, Joey was walking carefully down the stairs, "Gwandma! Gwampa!" Joey was halfway down the stairs and he saw his cousins and friends in the attic still so he clambered back up the steps "Are you guys coming to tell them? Maybe they know something abwout these!"

Alice shrugged "maybe they might know...I dunno. Its in their attic." she looked at everyone else and shrugged. "But I gowna ask if I can keep this one...its soooo pweety!" she smiled showing everyone the orange orb she held her in her hands.
She looked at little Joey "okay little Joey! Come on, lets go see your grandpa and grandma. Maybe they'll have something to say about it!" she giggled and followed Joey down the stairs towards the kitchen.
She skipped down the long hallway passed the living room into the kitchen holding her orb in both of her hands. As she walked into the kitchen both of Joey's grandparents looked up and gasped. Alice went bright red. What had she done wrong?

Justin was still wondering why there were so many coloured ones and seemingly only one clear one, which is in Joey's possession at the moment. What do the colours represent anyways? Justin loved to wonder about things. His parents told him that it keeps the mind sharp when one thinks and asks intelligent questions.

Joey came back again to urge them to go ask Grandpa and Grandma with him. Justin armed himself with his questions and went down with Alice and Joey. Surprisingly, their grandparents were shocked, while Alice turned red. Nevertheless, curiosity of any 5-year old kid pushed Justin forward with his questions, "Grandpa, grandma, what these orbs for? Where did you get them? How come they're so colourful?"

Grandpa Kingston looked sternly at the kids, "Joey, Justin, Alice, where ever did you find these"

"Gwanpa we fwound them in the attic!" Joey said excitedly.

"Well then..." Grandpa Kingston said slowly, "You may as well get the rest of the young'ins down here, we are about to tell you a story!"

Joey ran and tumbled up the stairs, "Guys! Guys! Gwanpa is going to twell us a story!!" Joey shouted running up the stairs, "Bwing the shiny things down! He's gwonna twell us a stwary!"

Alice blushed as she wasn't in trouble. She always got in trouble at home...that is when mother and father were home. She smiled at Joey's grandparents and sat down next to Grandma Kingston.
She barely even looked up since her eyes were focused on the orange orb that was in her hands. She wasn't even holding it anymore, it floated between her palms above her lap. She was astonished at how it didn't even fall.
Alice finally pulled her eyes away from the orb, although she was keeping it close to her with the intention of not giving it up, and looked back up at Joey's grandparents waiting with curious eyes to learn about the orbs.

EDIT: Smiling Grandpa Kingston looked down at the kids and glanced at his wife who smiled back and started a story once all the kids were around them.
Grandma Kingston started "basically we were on a long trip away from everyone and fell upon these magical orbs. We weren't sure how they worked though..."
Here is where Grandpa Kingston came in and continued "They control elements...you know Earth, air, fire, water...and so on. Yet we were scared to use them because whenever we would touch them either we'd burn, get soaked...the orbs didn't like us...and so we didn't think we were their right owners." he shrugged and patted Joey on the head.
Grandma Kingston continued "But by the looks of it, they've found their owners...so..." she glanced at her husband and smiled with a shrug "You guys are the orbs' rightful owners." Grandpa Kingston immediately interrupted saying "But not one word should be let about them. Its a secret between you guys and us. You can't even tell Mommy or Daddy." he nodded and looked at everyone to see if they understood.

Alice looked down at the orange orb in her hand. The words just slipped from her lips. "Fire." she whispered and suddenly the orb glowed brighter. Alice watched as the glow went from the orb to her fingertips and spread throughout her as she glowed completely. She smirked and looked up at Joey's grandparents. "Don't worry. I won't tell anyone." she smiled assuring them.

Bianca slipped down the stairs, green orb still in hand. She already knew, she wasn't going to be willing to let it go. It made her feel... special. Powerful. Like how Mommy and Daddy must feel all the time... she thought, happy that she was like her parents. If one orb makes me feel like this, what would all of them do? she wondered, her five-year-old hyperactive mind kicking in. That sealed it. She wanted them all. She smiled evilly, then sat down in front of her grandparents, listening to their story.

"Oh, it'll be a secwet." Bianca assured her Grandma, doing that same evil smile she didn't know was so disturbing.

Justin wondered what he could possibly do with a magical blue orb that could control water. He observed the other children. They looked like they already know what they’re planning to do with them.

He stared into his orb again, concentrating hard on the word “water”. The orb suddenly turned cool and wet, and he could almost hear the sound of waves crashing against a rocky shore. Hm…powerful things. Justin wondered what would happen if he possessed all four of the orbs and combined their powers.

A smiled played on his lips as he promised his grandparents in a firm tone, “I will keep the secret.”

Joey beamed at the orb he had in his hands, "I won't tell anybwody! I pwomise!" said Joey, he held the ball and imagined it floating in the air, he could feel the air between his hands and the orb, it suddenly lifted up and hovered, "Wow! This is fun!" Joey exclaimed with excitement, "I won't tell anybwody at awll ever ever ever!" Joey said to his grandparents and hugged them, "I pwomise!" Joey didn't care about the other orbs, he just wanted to keep his by himself, hoping no one would steal it or take or just for greed.

Bianca held her orb tightly in her small hands, wondering what exactly her grandparents meant when they said they 'controlled the elements.' Which one did her orb control? Staring at the glowing green orb, Bianca whispered the element that would make the most sense, "Earth." The trees and the grass and the other plants were green, so it would make sense that that would be what her green orb controlled.

Immediately after she said it, her orb began glowing brighter. Her eyes darted to the potted plant beside her, and she she raised the orb the plant's flowers began to grow larger and larger, until they were the size of most dinner plates. She smiled up and her grandparents, who looked between her and the plant a few times before their eyes came to rest on her. "Did I do good?" she asked.
