It's going to use that more advanced wii remote, too, so you'll have to get up off your bum and go mad swinging a sword. :D That's going to rock so hard. *squee*

I have heard about this!
It's going on my list of things to buy when not poor.
Just watched the trailer thing, is it just me, or does this look VERY Wind Wakery? Cartoony sort of style again.. :/

It does look a little off, however I'm hoping since all they had last year at this time was a mysterious poster without a title, that these are just early development bits and bobs that they're showing us.
However if it's not, I learned my lesson with Wind Waker. I was radically, furiously against the game when it first came out, and went so far as to refer to it only as "The Powerpuff Girls Knockoff"
Exhibit A (http://giblar.com/games/click/link%20windwaker.JPG)
Exhibit B (http://images1.fanpop.com/images/image_uploads/The-Powerpuff-Girls-powerpuff-girls-874638_445_285.jpg)
(seriously, could you have blamed me?)
Then I quit my grumbling and got the game. And it was one of the best Zelda games they had ever made. And every time I re-play the game and get to the end and I'm sitting there in awe over the final scenes with Gannon and the King, I feel a twinge of guilt for ever having doubted them. So I vowed never ever to doubt Miyamoto ever again. If he's having an artistic brainwave moment and decides that the next game needs to look a little different (I understand now that Windwaker was meant to look like an old medieval illuminated manuscript (http://todustyoushallreturn.files.wordpress.com/2009/10/illuminated-manuscript.jpg)), I put full faith in him that it will still rock as hard as any other Zelda game.
*steps off soap box*
You know, with the whole Skyward Sword title, I wonder if that means the next chapter is going to delve further into the Oocca that were introduced in Twilight Princess? That was very interesting because they brought in a whole race of previously unmentioned creatures, and I certainly wouldn't mind a plot that teaches us more about them. Plus they were cute li'l chicken people :D

Oh, I won't doubt that it was a brilliant game, the graphics and artwork were superb, and it was a brilliant way to make the game fresh, for both old players and new. But I really loved the realism of Twilight Princess, it really felt more at home. Maybe because it was on the Wii, where you had the "sword" in the palm of your hand, but I really loved that streak that was brought in.
Tbh, I love the Zelda series, so no matter what, I'm going to buy this game and complete it, and put it on my Zelda shelf, but I know that I'll spend a few minutes going "ew, cartoons.. that looks alright.. ooh, nice.." eventually getting to "oooohhhhh, cartoons..." and not leaving my house for a couple of weeks.

Hahaha, couldn't have said it better myself. As long as Zelda is adorably pretty as always, and Link has some cool new toys for kicking butt (and by the looks of things, we're finally getting a whip and something that makes flying bombs), then I'll be a happy little gamer. :D

Haha, yeah, maybe once the game comes out we can use one another to problem-solve the trickier dungeons. There always ends up being one dungeon that leave me walking in circles and scratching my head for days trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong. :o
OoT holds the all-time record with the Forest Temple. In the end, the mistake was that I hadn't gone into a certain room, which wasn't showing up on my map as a black spot because it was technically part of another room. Unfortunately, the area I hadn't been to also had the one key I needed to finish the dungeon, and it took me well over a month to figure out what had gone wrong. It was so bad that I finally re-started the whole game so that I could walk through the dungeon from scratch. :headdesk: You can bet I never made that mistake again. >_<

Ahhh, I'm stuck in the Forest Temple at the moment, because of the 'miniboss' fight with the .. Swordy skeleton jobbies. Can't find enough hearts and keep dying. I got so annoyed I played Twilight Princess and did the end of Goron Mine, the Water Temple and the Desert Temple. :P

Oooh, swordy skeletons. Never underestimate the power of targeting and keeping your shield up at all times. There's a fairy fountain right outside the temple if you go back out to the maze garden (that ladder goes straight to the entrance). But if you keep the skeletons targeted until they swing big and let their guard down, you can do a jump attack and take them out in about two hits.
Stupid OoT... if it's not the Forest Temple being really confusing (what with the twisty/untwisty corridors and two wings that look exactly the same), it's the stupid Water Temple with the tektites that make me want to puke from anticipation :D There you are... down to half a heart and you just jumped in the water... you're stuck under a ledge holding your breath and you can hear the spiky rocks below you, and the tektite on the surface directly above you, and there's no way you'll ever get to solid ground and grab your sword in time... lol I have literally been so startled by tektites that I screamed out loud. :p
