Hi Emilia (can I call you Emilia?) I'm nevermore, the forum administrator, and I'll try to answer that one as best as possible, however I'm going to wager money on the fact that someone will soon come along who does a better job answering this question that I will :D

First of all, you must find an animated avatar that you like. You can usually find them via google (members have recently been having problems with iconator setting off their antivirus programs, so you should avoid that site). Anyway.
Step 1: find avatar you like
Step 2: from any page in our forum, scroll to the top and click "user CP"
Step 3: On the left, click "edit avatar" Step 3 1/2: On the page that appears, we have beautiful charlie bone avatars made by our very own members. If you like one, click on it and click "save changes."
Step 4: On the web page where you found the avatar you like, copy the address from the address bar. Paste it into the "option 1" box (be sure you don't paste that http://www stuff twice).
Step 5: Click "save changes" et voila! (There's also a whole process where you can save the avatar to your computer and upload it that way, but for animated avatars, I have more success just copying the address straight from wherever I found it.)

...Please tell me that made sense. :p

Thanks!(and sure you can call me Emilia :D) Do you know if there's any way of putting on my own animated avvie? If I strung some images together how would I put it on as my avvie do you know? Those avvies made by members are fantastic I wonder how they did it.

I know there are programs you can find online which allow you to string your own images together to make animated avvies, but which programs are best is utterly beyond me. All I can tell you is that I know they exist. Once you do make your own though, you can upload an avatar from your computer following the same steps, except instead of plugging in a URL, you click "browse" and upload it from your computer. I canny make anything animated though. My skillz end at photoshop, and even those are pretty lame compared to what other members are capable of.

This (http://www.online-image-editor.com/index.cfm?fa=wizard&wizard_id=index_animation) has a good animation maker, if you are using less then nine pictures. You can pick the timing and transition too, but sometimes it acts a little funny and you may have to try it more then once.
