How Do I Make A Welcome Thread?

It has just dawned on me, that while some of our members have no problem navigating this forum, not all of our new members have been a part of a web forum before, and thus may not know how to even introduce themselves! Or worse, they might get so nervous and feel so uncertain about what to say while they're standing in the spotlight, that they may NEVER introduce themselves! We simply cannot have that. I'd love to get to know each and every one of you, and so would the rest of the forum. If you are reading this thread, and would like some tips and pointers on how to make an introduction thread of your own, read on!

First off, is the all important creating of a thread. If you go back to the main Welcome Subforum, you'll find a blue button below the "goodbye" forum, but above all of the other welcome threads. It should read "New Thread." If you click that, there will be a place for you to fill in a creative title, as well as a big box for a message. Just fill those in, click "submit new thread" and voila! You've made a welcome thread!

Second is the fact that sometimes, when you're feeling the pressure of having to introduce yourself to a group of people you've never met before, you might not quite know what to say. Never fear. Below are some ideas...

IDEAS!
**tell us your name! (not your whole name, of course, internet safety is very important!)
**how long have you been reading charlie bone books?
**how did you discover our little forum?
**what's your favorite book/character/moment in the series?
**what other books do you like?
**what films do you enjoy watching?
**what kind of music makes you get up and dance?
**do you have a special talent you can brag about?
**what country are you in? (You'll make lots of friends from all around the world here! We have members from Spain, and China, and South Africa... wow! Where are you from?)

Please note, these are ONLY ideas. You are in no way required to use them. Your welcome thread can be written any way your heart desires...
